And here we go, the next chapter. I hope you enjoy… and you already know I don't own anything and such so with the disclaimer out of the way…

"Alright then…" the elder said as he stood before Jaune, Ren and Nora with a small grin on his face. "I will teach you about how we Darkners handle battles and fighting, though as you already are aware it is a tab bit different" he said with a small bit of humor. Nora nodded.

"You mean other than the whole video game and heart-dodging turn-taking and leg-breaking battle experience?" she asked with a smile on her face as the elder seemed slightly taken back.

"…I suppose so, we just refer to them as battles" he said nonchalantly before stepping away from what appeared to be a dummy of some kind, a training dummy that made the three each look at it confused. It was more like a scarecrow than anything with a straw hat and button eyes that had a single stick-like lower body connecting it to the ground. "I made this dummy for your opponent, I will teach you how things go… are you ready, young heroes?" the elder asked as Jaune looked towards his teammates and nodded. Hearing this, the older man smiled. "Then let's begin" he said simply as once more the trio found themselves outside of their bodies, hearts over their heads with a noticeable red tint mixed in this time.

The elder took notice and smiled, looking not at their bodies but at their souls. "I see. How are you three handling this transition so far?" the older man asked as they looked to him confused.

"Wait, you can see us?" Ren asked as the older man nodded.

"Indeed, we Darkners can see and strike at the souls of others. Whether they are of the World of Light or the World of Darkness" he said as Jaune was a little concerned, picking up at what he said.

"Strike at… our souls?" the knight asked as he felt a little nervous. "…You don't really mean our actual souls, right?" he asked to make sure as Nora frowned but tried to support her fearless leader.

"Please, you really think that he means our actual souls?" she asked with a smile. The old man however…

"I do mean your actual souls, yes" he said without a moment of hesitation or indication he was joking, causing the three heroes to turn to him with shocked expressions. Noticing this, he smiled and pointed his finger at the hearts above them. "Did you not know what those hearts represent?" he asked as they said noting before realization set in.

"You mean those hearts are our souls?!" Jaune shouted as Nora looked at hers before looking towards Ren's curiously. Seeing his friend about to touch it, he sighed and quickly restrained her. "I mean these are actually our literal souls here?" Jaune once again asked with fear in his tones while Nora chuckled.

"I was expecting a little more though, I mean I like the shape and the color of mine, it really looks cool" she said as Ren let her go as he could admit it did fit her well. A pink heart representing his closest friend's soul was right on the money. Hell her symbol was a pink heart with a thunderbolt in it but he was confused why both his and Jaune's souls were also hearts, much less why Jaune's was yellow and his was green.

"Those souls have a certain meaning to them; depending on the color it has a unique attribute, red for determination, for example. However, it seems like yours are different. I can sense an aura of determination in you… as well as some other power within them… unlike most other souls I've seen before."

"So, you mean we have some kind of super souls or something?" Nora asked excitedly as the elder was unsure before eventually shrugging his shoulders at their questions.

"I am unsure, but for now let us focus on what we came here to do. As you have seen with the monsters you fought, those Grimm as you three call them?" he asked more than said, "You will have five options at first. Let us begin with the first one, FIGHT" he said as they all reached for their scrolls and entered the menu for fighting. Picking the fight option, they all found themselves in their body before time froze. "Wait!" the elder said as they looked at him confused.

Holding his hand up, they noticed their scrolls being held up in mid-air by the man who coughed into his other hand's fist.

"Before you, attack I should show you the Attack Flow" he said as they saw something under their HP and AURA bars, it was what seemed to be a line of some sort, a white square and matching yellow, pink and green squares as well. "The Attack Flow is a technique in which you may do additional damage to your opponent, aligning that white square up with the corresponding soul squares will unlock a possible critical blow, known as a Critical Blow" he informed as the three of them seemed to be giving him a confused expression as Jaune nodded.

"I get it, you mean like a chance to hit them harder than normal" he said as the old man nodded.

"I did just say that… but completing such a thing will allow you to bypass your adversaries defensive prowess as well as do double damage to your enemies. I should suggest practicing for that precise moment." he said as Nora frowned.

"Yeah, but how? I mean we can't exactly look at our scrolls when we're fighting, right?" she asked as the elder nodded. That was a good point, was it not? Smiling, the old man gathered some magic and formed orbs around the scrolls before they formed into disks. As the colored disks flew over to the three teenagers, they shattered, covering them in a bright light as now the three of them had watches with the scroll screens on it.

"There, that should help. Consider that as a means to better prepare yourself until you mastered the timing correctly. Now then… let us see what you are capable of" the elder said as the all made their way back and each prepared to attack the scarecrow before them. While Jaune managed to hit it a little later than normal, it was Ren and Nora that struck it a bit too early. Regardless they each performed an attack on it.

"Good, great… now I think we should address the next bit of battle, more accurately when it is your opponent's turn to attack, get ready" the elder said as they found themselves out of their bodies and as hearts, or souls as they learned as the elder spoke again. "Now listen, each creature has its own attacks, it is something that will allow them to attack you at your strongest, yet most vulnerable spot. Likewise with your fight against the Grimm, you will have to move around and avoid the onslaught of attacks. I will hold much back against you… please focus on dodging the hits" the elder said as soon the attack began to come. A strange white statue that looked similar to a white pawn came running up on them, followed by a few more that traveled in a zigzag pattern.

"Get ready, aim for where they won't hit!" Jaune shouted as he could see some gaps in between the pawns movements. Doing so, they aligned themselves up and managed to avoid the pawns' robotic movements. As the turn was about to end, the elder smiled. "Great eye, but did you notice something off?" he asked as they looked at him from within their souls. "How about we focus on that later on the next turn, for now… it is time for your next ability" he said as they found themselves back outside the arena where the simply looked at their watches that displayed the holographic menu.

*The "Battle" has only just begun*

"Very well, now then, I want you to hit the DEFEND button" he said as they all did, finding their bodies move differently. For Jaune he held his shield up as he would do to take a hit. For Nora she merely crossed her arms while Ren knelt down and curled up slightly, protecting his body by lying lower than the others. "The art of using DEFEND is simply, unlike attacking, defending will not allow you to do damage that turn, but instead will allow you to place up a guard that would weaken the attacks slightly… to put it bluntly, you each have a DEF stat, using DEFEND will add an additional five points to your stat, making it harder to take damage. More so… if I may address you to that bar you see on the left half of the screen" he said as they noticed the bar fill up slightly.

TP: 35%

That TP… err, Tension Points for short, will allow you to use certain abilities known as ACT. ACT, or actions for short, is simply the use of acting during that turn. I believe you managed to notice is a little, have you not, Jaune?" the elder asked as Jaune nodded.

"Y-yeah, it was when I used that evaluate choice" he said as the elder smiled.

"Evaluate, it is an action that requires no necessary TP to use. However there are more skills which you can use such as running to distract an opponent, hugging it, singing, throwing something, anything and everything that in the depths of your souls you think could work. Which we will go into later, but for now… I think it's time I show you something about attacking for my turn. This time… I would like you to take the hit" he said as they looked at him hesitantly but nodded.

As their turn ended, they found their souls now covered in a faint trace of a white line as what looked like three tiny pawns came flying towards them. Hesitant but trusting, they each took a hit and felt some mild pain. Their HP dropped slightly as did their AURA as the attack ended. As it did, they checked their screens to see the damage.

The elder was silent in thought. 'That attack should've done ten damage to the boys and five to the lass… but it only did half for them all' he thought to himself as he himself viewed the current stats

Jaune:

HP: 20/25

AURA: 10/15

Nora:

HP: 17/20

AURA: 5/10

Ren:

HP: 15/ 20

AURA: 5/10

Seeing that made the elder curious, 'It seems that aura stat managed to take half of the hit for them. I wonder if that is a double-edged sword though. If they run out however, I am unsure what that would entail' the elder thought as Jaune frowned.

"Not going to lie… getting hit wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be" he said as Nora nodded as Ren checked his information closer.

"Because of our aura… a part of it is gone" he said as the elder noticed them check as well.

"Yeah… Jaune and you lost five health points but I only lost three, more so Jaune still has more aura and HP than both of us, Renny" she said as Ren nodded. The elder spoke up.

"That is because of the DEF stats difference to my ATK stat" he said as they all looked at him. "Originally it was supposed to do ten damage to the two of you boys but only five damage for the lass. However that aura stuff managed to lessen it. And from what I can tell it also better boosted your defending as well, think of it I suppose as a 0.5 multiplier of sorts" the elder said as they looked at it and smiled.

Well aura was a shield for them back home, it would make sense for aura to do the same, perhaps there could be a fighting means of using it, and if they could use to defend they could also use it to attack. They would see about that later. For now…

"I don't believe you have any items… so let's focus on ACT. All of you, please choose the ACT button" he said as they all did, finding their choices being the same. Either Evaluate: Hug: or Insult: thankfully it only cost 10 TP for either the hug or insult, and choosing their options, they found themselves watching their bodies move on their own. They were confused at that. When they attacked they watched their bodies move in to attack the Grimm but also to fight inside it during the training. As they saw Ren and Jaune hesitantly hug the scarecrow, the orange-haired woman however insulted it.

"Your hat is ugly and you're stuck in the ground!" Nora's body said as they all looked at her soul that merely grinned. Soon a message appeared on the scroll-like watches.

*Scarecrow was hugged, if felt nice. MERCY raised by 50%*

*Nora insulted the Scarecrow's hat and body, Scarecrow became saddened. MERCY lowered by 25%*

Nora smiled slightly as the Elder smiled at her experimenting, a little put off by the strange insult but ignored it regardless.

"That was known as ACT, using it will either help you learn about your foes or prepare to find weaknesses or prepare them for MERCY" he said as he began his turn to attack. "For this attack why not have a race to one end from another?" he asked as they found themselves once again as souls before nodding. As they made their way to the left side, they all looked at one another and sped off around the same time. While Nora and Jaune kept equal pace, it was Ren who was faster and made it to the end.

The Elder however grinned and shot two pawn-shaped projectiles at the lagging souls, both of which managed to avoid the projectiles as Ren noticed something flicker around them, Jaune and Nora glared as they heard a similar static sound from their last battle as the turn ended. "Hey, what's the big idea?!" Nora shouted as the elder smiled. "Why did you attack me and Jaune?" she demanded as Ren asked another question.

"When you did I noticed something, that white flicker of sorts… what was that?" he asked as Jaune and Nora looked confused.

"That flicker was I suppose what you call BULLET TIME, or I suppose BT for short. Essentially when you evade an attack by a hair's length it will trigger a means of an added effect, increasing your TP by a fraction of your STM value" he explained as they all turned to the scrolls and noticed that it increased from what it was after using an action. "That being said… did you notice how one of you were faster?" he asked as they looked at Ren.

"Yeah, I take it because of my SPD value being higher than theirs then is the answer?" Ren asked as the elder nodded.

"Yep, more so… when you use DEF to protect yourselves, you regain TP equal to the amount of STM value the individual has" the older man informed as Jaune took it all in.

'That means if we guard we can get back some of our tension points while we defend ourselves for using actions' he thought as he made sure to come up with strategies using the things he learned from this. 'So I suppose we each really do have a part here. Nora is the offensive and defensive one, Ren is the evasive and the regenerator of TP and I guess that leads me as… whatever I am' he said as the elder smiled.

"Now then, there are a few ways to fight but a battle continues until either your adversaries are shown MERCY or you defeat them all through using FIGHT. However if one of you does fall in battle, you won't necessarily be killed immediately" the elder said as they seemed shocked at that. "If all three of you fall in battle that is when you will truly perish. However as long as one of you is well and kicking with HP in the positives then you can uses items or techniques to heal other members of your party. I would suggest visiting Seam to see if he has anything worth selling you" the elder said as Nora smiled.

"Great, so that means If we are beat but one of us is still up we can be revived" Nora said as the elder smiled more.

"Indeed, however, if you are defeated then your HP will automatically drop down into the negatives by half of your total HP. More so it will increase by half your STM value every turn until you reach a positive value. For example… let's say that Nora, you were defeated. You would fall only to around to negative ten. The next turn you would regain five HP back and then zero and then be back up with only five. However I do not know what your AURA will do or how that effects your HP or anything" he informed as he looked at Jaune then Ren.

"For Jaune… it would only go up by five points but you would need twelve and a half points to fully recover, most likely you would need three turns to revive with around maybe two or three total HP remaining" he said as Jaune moaned, realizing while he had a better AURA and higher HP, it would take longer for him to recover and harder for him to evade attacks.

"Ren however will have it slightly easier than both of you. As his HP is only twenty, he will have negative ten when defeated. And as a value of fifteen for his STM he will only need to wait two turns until he is up with five HP to spare" he finished as Ren seemed shocked.

'That means with the highest speed and stamina values I can recover faster than the others… I can get into the fight faster or at the very least that seems to be the case' he thought with a sudden smile forming on his face. With that the elder ended the battle with one last idea.

"For now, I think it's time to finish it. All three of you please guard, I will teach you another means of defending yourselves during battle, against certain attacks" he said as they did. As their TP went up, the elder attacked one last time, this time instead of finding themselves in their own souls, they found themselves bunched together in one soul.

"What the, why are you guys here?!" Jaune shouted as Ren frowned.

'I don't know… it's really cramped in here though" the gun-using member of Team JNPR as Nora frowned.

'Ugh, can you both stop fighting, it's hard enough to move in here' she thought annoyed as they were trying to make way for some kind of elbow space. Unlike it being yellow, pink or green, it was pure red, the color of determination, a color which made him smile.

"Heroes, that ability is called HEART SHARE, or just called Heart Share. When you are normally attacked, you will all be able to move around in your own shared heart to avoid attacks. However, when there are certain attacks that are overwhelming you can use this technique to better evade the attacks that all three of you separately cannot. However, this will affect you all as a result. Your current movement speed will be that of all of your speeds combined but divided by three, the same with your DEF and STM. However as I said, certain attacks you can avoid easier with if you find your arena cluttered with onslaughts" he said before smiling. "Such as this!" he shouted as he summoned an army of white pawns to move around the board.

As the pawns moved in a circle, all of them began to move in, all but one that was. The trio easily noticed the hole and made way to it, trying to keep up pace as they fit through it. As the pawns collided with one another the small collision created shockwaves that came after them in all directions, making it nearly impossible to dodge, until they noticed the waves were being blocked by the lone pawn that didn't move, creating cover for them.

Working together, they managed to arrive behind an area where the arches of energy were blocked and couldn't get to. The attack ending as the heart transformed back into three other hearts with Jaune, Ren and Nora frowning at that. "Ugh… do we ever have to do that again, can't we just take our chances?" Nora asked as Jaune nodded in agreement.

" It is a give or take technique, more so with enough training you can shorten or shrink your physical properties within your souls for more room, if it's too crowded" the elder said as the three glared at him slightly at hearing that. Then why didn't he tell them before they were bunched together. "For now, just spare this enemy and end the battle" he said as they all looked at one another, pulling up their scrolls and each selecting their choices.

While Jaune and Nora hugged the training dummy, Ren found an option under SPARE. It was MERCY and hitting it, the battle ended.

*You Spared the Scarecrow*

*You Won*

*You gained: 0 EXP and 0 D$*

And with that the battle ended with the three of them back in their bodies and looking at the elder. "Well then, I suppose that covers the basics of fighting" he said as Jaune nodded.

"Yeah, but still, I have a question. You said that the ACT can allow us to use anything we can think of, how exactly does that work?" he asked as Ren was curious also.

"Using ACT is a rather tricky subject; however it usually depends upon the individual. More so it can also be a double-edged blade. Unless you know what you're facing you might have a harder time sparing enemies.

"I can understand why that would be useful but wouldn't it just be better to fight whatever attacks us?" Nora asked as the elder scratched his beard.

"Not quite, while it seems like a better idea it often would end in unforeseen repercussions. This kingdom is still torn on what side to take and many of its citizens have their hearts blocked. As a result it becomes that much harder to help heal the people's hearts that were closed up by fighting. However, using ACT instead of FIGHT often does more than just letting them go, it helps forms bonds."

"…Bonds?" Ren asked as they all seemed confused at where the elder was going. The older man smiled.

"When people fight there is a chance that they may form bonds with others, think of it as a possible friendship to be gained. While the prophecy says that you would defeat the King of Shadows, it also said you would unite the Darkners and free their hearts. However, I cannot influence or force you on what you want to do… merely just show you alternatives that could be much more useful" the man said as Jaune nodded.

"Alright… so we just need to beat the king, use mercy on the Darkners that are having their hearts closed-" Jaune said as Nora took over.

"Take down the Grimm and seal up those fountain things" she said chipper as Ren smiled.

"…Seems simple enough" he said as he was sure that they could at the very least handle most of it. The older man nodded, pointing towards the forest to the east where the first Dark Fountain was.

"That there, it the Southern Region's Dark Fountain… it lays in the Compost Forests, you can make it to the next town by going through the Fields of Pieces" the elder said as the three of them looked at him strangely for a second before nodding. "However… as of late I have heard rumors regarding Card Town. Lately there have been rumors of a disagreement taking place between the rulers there. I would proceed with caution when you go" the elder warned as they were deep in thought at his words.

"Rumors about a disagreement…?" Ren asked as the elder sighed.

"I do not know the full story… for now though; I would suggest you prepare yourselves before you leave. While Seam may not seem like it, he does seem to have an interest in you. However, he does also run a shop. Perhaps he could sell you some supplies. You do have some money now so perhaps he would help you out" the elder suggested as Jaune nodded.

"Right, okay then, we'll be back" Jaune said as Ren and Nora nodded. As they left, the elder smiled, in a bit of a better mood than he was earlier that night.

"Aw, so the heroes have come to visit my little shop, I take it you three are ready to set out soon?" the stuffed cat asked as the three of them entered the small building, inside was what seemed like walls of felt which made a little sense they supposed. On the walls were different things as the cat smiled at them. "Well I suppose you have quite the good timing, I was just about to get rid of a few things, if you want I suppose I can give you three a discount" Seam offered as Jaune was curious.

"…A discount?" Jaune asked as the stuffed cat reached into a small drawer and bulled out three cards of some kind. While Ren quirked an eyebrow it was Nora who voiced the question they all had.

"Cards? What are those for?" she asked as Seam smiled.

"These cards are called Amber Cards, they raise your defense by a few points and as you all probably know, it would be better if you were prepared" the cat said as he held three of them in his paws and placed them on the table. "Normally I'd say it would be around 300 D$. However, I'll give you a buy two get one free deal. Consider it my little gift for good luck, the rest however will rely on you" he said as they looked at one another.

Jaune opened his scroll on his new watch and noticed a new feature, currency currently on them now displayed before them.

"300 D$" Jaune said as Ren smiled at that.

"That would mean we would still have a hundred left. It also doesn't hurt to be prepared" he said as Nora grinned, nodding her head as Jaune smiled.

"Yeah, you got a deal, Seam" Jaune said as their currency went down to only one-hundred. As the three cards were divided to the trio before vanishing in their hands, leaving them confused. Nora frowned and looked at the stuffed toy that merely chuckled at their expressions.

"Heh, there you go… if you want to use them, be sure to equip them first. So while we're at it…" he trailed off as he shut the drawer, "Do you want to buy something else, I have quite a few other things I'm willing to sell" he said as a screen appeared next to him with a list of items similarly to how their scrolls worked.

Looking at it, they viewed over the contents curiously. There were seven items on it which made them curious. The first two were seemingly healing items, Dark Candy being the cheapest and the thing that would practically heal one of them up fully as they were now. The other item was something that would've done the same regardless. The other three items, minus the Amber Cards were weapons, a Spooky Sword, a Spooky Hammer and a Spooky Guns were all there but it was the last item that caught their attention, more accurately.

"What's that Sword Hilt thing?" Nora asked curiously as Seam seemed amused at the interest.

"This is a strange item I found back when I was looking around. It's practically worthless to be honest. If you want it you can have it for only 20D$" he offered as Jaune frowned.

"It says zero on the screen" he pointed out as Seam shrugged uncaringly.

"And the Amber Cards were one-hundred a piece, besides I'm sure you'll make up that money back in the fields, why not give it a shot, see how well it fits for you, hero" he said as he reminded the swordsman about the special. Jaune was about to say something but an interruption prevented that.

"How many Dark Candies do you have in stock right now?" Ren asked as Seam smiled at that as he pointed, or rather moved his paw towards a box of star-shaped candies. 'Oh, right' Ren thought with a dead-panned look. Nora in contrast smiled as she did the math in her head.

"Right, so that means me and Ren get candy and Jaune gets a new sword" she said as Jaune frowned. However, it did make sense to have some healing items, especially now they knew that monsters and who knows what else would attack them and their souls of all things. Plus looking at the sword-handle, he shrugged his shoulders, assuming that he would make some money or just sell it when he could. Seam took the money with a crooked smile as the three left his shop.

"I hope you three don't die too soon, but if you do give up, feel free to come back to toast the end of the world" Seam called out to them. Leaving the shop, Jaune looked over the new item and frowned at what it said.

*A sword hilt with no blade, clouded in the darkness and practically worthless*

'And now I have a worthless weapon, great…' Jaune said as he wondered if he could just throw it away, only to notice something strange. 'Huh… wait, why can't I get rid of it, do I have to sell it?' he thought as he decided to move on. Finding the Amber Card in the inventory of weapons and equipment, he selected it for the additional defense. This time his defense rose to Nora's, now standing at a strong twenty with Nora's being twenty-five.

"So, we ready to head out?" Nora asked as she closed her menus from her new watch as Ren looked at Jaune who nodded.

"Yeah, though I am curious, how did we heal up after training with the old man?" he asked as Ren and Nora both shrugged. Deciding to head out, they had a destination in mind. "Then I guess we head off to…, Card Town?" Jaune asked as Ren nodded.

"Grimm are attracted by negative emotions, so if there is a disagreement of sorts there as bad as the elder said, it would be a gathering spot for them" Ren said, offering some notice as Jaune nodded, it would be filled with Grimm. Nora smirked.

"Yeah, besides I want to see if there are any other people like Seam there, oh and if we find some Grimm we can break their legs and take their money!" she said as she raised a fist. "Alright, boys. It's time to get this show on the road!" she declared as both of her male teammates nodded, the three of them heading out of the small town with a small bit of hope.

*You leave the gates of the settlement, beginning your journey. Your group is filled with the feeling of a new unfolding adventure*

Omake:

Jaune smiled as he faced Ren with all the wits he had, the man had been skilled, very skilled and was proving to be an opponent on that of Blake's and Weiss's level. But that didn't mean he was out just yet, his skills had prepared him for this, he had already defeated Weiss, despite the white-haired girl's denial at the loss. He had also defeated Blake, who was bored and was curious at the game.

Oh yes, despite his weaknesses and his downfalls. Jaune Arc was at the very least competent when it came to strategies, and in a game like Chess, well… there was a reason he managed to hold his own.

Meanwhile, Ren looked over the board, pieces taken from each side of the board; he frowned as he noticed the huge disadvantage he had. Jaune was a tactical genius, while rusty on a few parts and sloppy on others. While Jaune lost a knight, Ren lost three pawns to take it. When Jaune lost a queen, Ren lost a rook and two bishops by a blindsided bishop of the blonde's own. Now all they had left were some pawns, a white bishop and rook on Jaune's side with a queen and a few pawns on Ren's.

Moving his queen, he went to attack the pawn of his leader's control, a smile on his face as he was close to winning. Jaune frowned before sighing. "You know, I have to admit you really are good at chess, Ren. Weiss practically rage quit after I took half her pieces and her queen while Blake I think was just bored and didn't really try" the leader of JNPR said. Hey, a win was a win even if it was kind of given to him, right? Ren however smiled at the praise.

"Perhaps but you aren't that bad either, honestly for all the times I managed to play without Nora interrupting me, I haven't been pushed into a corner this badly in quite a while. So, what are you going to do next?" Ren asked as Jaune merely smiled before moving his pawn up towards Ren's king piece.

"That… and check by the way" Jaune said as Ren nodded, his king was in the position to take the pawn however… until he noticed something wrong.

'Jaune just prepared to give up a pawn? Something isn't right' the gunner of JNPR thought as he noticed something more towards his leader's end of the board, the rook, ready and willing to take the king piece if he tried to take the pawn. He also noticed something else. 'I can take it with my queen… but then I would give up the last piece just to leave Jaune with pawns, a king and a bishop…'

A bishop that could currently now take his queen after moving the pawn to declare check. Jaune smiled, Ren narrowed his eyes in concentration. Once the game however ended and put into the closet, the two would be sure to have a rematch once the Vytal Festival was over.

And there we go. So I know that I added a few things like Aura, Speed and Stamina but for Speed and Stamina they are already, to some extent, a thing already, the only main difference is aura, which since they all have aura to boost their capabilities, I decided to incorporate it as a bit of an extra shield, taking up some damage for some aura usage.

The reason is simple… they are extremely under leveled when it comes to things like their HP, which, to give anyone a reminder, Susie and Kris both had starting HPs that equaled a total of 200. So yeah, HP wise they are kind of low. However to remedy that I bring you the Grimm… battling and defeating Grimm will help them level up, leveling up equals more HP to counter the higher bosses that could essentially one-shot them, like how a certain wildcard of chaos could do that with a certain knife of his… That as well as a few other things, which is why I upped the Amber Card's defense, though most other items like the Dark Candy are the same.

Which reminds me, I'm curious on what people might think about an idea of mine? Since Deltarune has different endings depending on what you do, should I make a "Normal" and a "Weird" ending? I'm kind of leaning towards that idea with the last two chapters being the different endings, or should I just stick with the traditional one endings type of thing? I don't know…

Either way, I hope you enjoyed the chapter, feedback is always appreciated. i hope you have a good night…
