Hey guys welcome to my Story. So I recently discovered The Umbrella Academy for myself through a meme (you know, the one were Five and Vanya drive past each other) and like the generic girl I am I obviously fell head over heals in love with our dear grumpy grandpa in a teens body, Number Five... and Klaus, but that's another story. Sadly there aren't all that many OC Fan Fictions about the show yet (yeah I don't know the comics/graphic novels) and the ones I did find always had an OC that, sooner or later, had super powers of her own. So I thought by myself: what if Five ended up with a completely normal girl (at least power-wise, haha) and BOOM, an idea was born. As I'm currently stuck with my Harry Potter FF I started to write on this and found it pretty enjoyable. I'm a couple chapters in and think what I wrote until now is not all that bad, so I thought I share it with you. I'm mostly writing for my own amusement but it would be really nice if you let me know that you enjoy it or leave a constructive comment if you think I could do better. The first couple chapters will mostly be extracts from the show with minor changes through my OC, but I promise I will also write original stuff. And now I stop talking and let you read.

Elizabeth Roberts was a totally ordinary 13 year old girl you could probably find anywhere in the city. Kind, if a bit naive, good at school and loving to hang out with friends. Moderately pretty, average height for her age. The most unusual about her was maybe her passion for volleyball, but aside from that there really wasn't anything "special" about her. Not like the kids from the Umbrella Academy. Living in the same neighborhood, she sometimes saw them exiting or going into their huge house, that took in an entire square block, from afar. One time she had even seen them in the doughnut shop "Griddy's" she loved to go to with her friends. But she had certainly never talked to them.
Everyone knew that they were special, that they had real superpowers. They even got to act as real life superheroes from time to time, saving people from robbers and the like. In short: they were way out of her league and though it would be nice to have them as friends, Elizabeth accepted that something like that would probably never happen. So she went about her every day life, expecting nothing but the ordinary for herself. That is... until she accidentally walked into the path of a certain young genius right as he attempted to time jump for the very first time. Not being able to dodge her he smacked right into her and with a blue glow both of them were gone. Only to reappear almost 17 years later in the backyard of said Academy, looking exactly the same as the day they had vanished.
