This story just decided to get in my head, so I thought I'd write it down. This will be short and full of fluff so you are warned. I don't own anything here. I'm a dyslexic author I do my best with spelling and grammar, so please keep that in mind. Fair warning, due to my dyslexia I struggle to decide which name to use when they're in their other forms, and in their thoughts…I've done my best, I hope it's not too confusing to read!

Mistletoe kiss

In the darkness of the velvet night, snow gracefully fell from the clouds above, heaping itself in doorways, piling up on windowsills and covering everything in Paris blanket of pure white and enchanted silence.

As she stood atop the roof of one of the many buildings of the city in her guise of Labybug watching the snow falling and bathing in the silence, Marinette felt sure she had never experienced something as beautiful as this before.

It was truly perfect romantic moment and Marinette found herself wishing with all of her heart that she could share it with Adrian. Since she could not do so Marinette instead decided to enjoy this rare and beautiful moment of perfect piece and commit it to memory.

Marinette was unsure how much time had passed, or when he had come to join her, but she suddenly became aware of the steady presence of her partner at her side.

They stood side by side in silence watching the snow fall together. Then slowly Marinette felt him take her hand in his and instead of pulling it away as she might once have done for some reason which she could not fathom and didn't want to Marinette instead tightened her fingers around his.

"It's a beautiful sight, isn't it?" Ladybug asked Cat Noir in a soft voice which befitted this quiet moment.

He nodded and said to her in a quiet but honest voice. "Yeah, it is beautiful. I'm glad I got to share this with you."

Ladybug reluctantly tore her gaze away from the view and moved it onto Cat Noir. "It's nice to share this with you too."

"Despite this night being so lovely, I cannot help but think you are far more beautiful than it." Cat Noir told her with one of his most charming smiles.

Usually, Ladybug would have scoffed at those words, but in the hush of this magical night she could finally hear them for what they were the truth of her dark kitties' heart. Marinette found herself blushing from the compliment and for once her thoughts were not on Adrian as they usually would be, but instead on Cat Noir completely.

As she realised the effect Cat Noir's words were having on her, Marinette wondered when she had started to develop romantic feelings for her kitty and why she had never noticed them before now. She knew she trusted him completely and though she had been pursuing Adrian her attempts never lead to anything and he only thought of her as a friend, were as Cat Noir…He thought the world of Ladybug and was willing to put his heart in her hands.

Marinette felt suddenly terrible for all the times she had hurt his heart and stupid for pursing someone who only saw her as a friend, when standing beside her all this time had been someone who loved her…Well at least part of her whole heartedly.

She realised now that her silly obsession over winning Adrian's heart for herself, had blinded her to the possibility of what a romantic relationship with Cat Noir might actually be like. Now though Marinette found herself actually wanting to explore such a relationship with Cat Noir. Marinette knew that if she let it show to him that she was softening towards his romantic advances, not only would Cat Noir notice, but he would also be thrilled that she had at last thawed her heart.

Yes, Marinette decided it was time to move away from the impossible dream of ever winning Adrian's heart for her own and turn her heart in a new direction, towards one who had unwavering loved her and continued to love her with unfaltering devotion despite her many rejections of him.

With her decision now made Ladybug slowly tightened her hold on Cat Noirs hand and turned to face him fully. "Thank you for the complement Chat, I could tell you really meant it."

Cat Noir's eyes widened, his heart felt like it was about to leap right out of his chest, his lady had accepted his complement and she knew that he was being honest with his words. A wide smile broke out over Cat Noir's face, he used the hand he was holding to gently tug Ladybug closer to him.

Taken unaware by this tug from Cat Noir Ladybug stumbled forwards and ended up falling into Cat Noir's chest. With her hands spread wide on his chest Marinette looked up into his bright green gaze, she blushed slightly, but didn't move away from him, instead she allowed herself to lean against him slightly, trusting that Cat Noir wouldn't let her fall.

Delight and awe raced through Adrian as instead of pushing away from him Ladybug simply rested against him and looked up into his eyes. He could see just how much she trusted him in her beautiful bluebell blue eyes and Adrian never wanted to see that trust in him ever extinguished.

Smiling mischievously down at Ladybug, Adrian pulled out from behind him his other hand, in which he held a sprig of mistletoe, tied at the stalk with a decorative red ribbon. Still grinning at Ladybug, he held it in the air over the two of them and said in an impish voice. "Oh dear, would you look at that, I caught you under the mistletoe! Well, you know what that means."

Adrian quickly closed his eyes and puckered up his lips for a kiss. He thought he would die either of shock or delight, when instead of being told off Ladybug kissed him gently on the lips. The kiss only lasted for a few moments, but Adrian felt sure that he would never forget this moment for the rest of his life.

As Ladybug drew her lips away from his Adrian opened his eyes and looked down at her. Ladybug was blushing slightly, but her eyes were filled with a warmth which he had never seen in them before and seeing it caused Adrian's heart to flutter with hope inside him.

"I'm glad that this time I got to kiss you when we were both aware of what we are doing." Ladybug said in a soft voice.

"Me too." Cat Noir said softly.

"You know…Kissing you felt…" Ladybug began saying but stopped before looking down and blushing brightly.

Cat Noir smiled warmly down at her and asked gently, while his heart thundering inside him like a train. "Kissing me felt?"

Slowly Ladybug looked up into his eyes, she gathered together her bravery and spoke. "It felt wonderful and now I wish we had kissed like this before now."

"Well, we have all the time in the world to make up for the lack of kisses we have shared until now." Cat Noir assured her meaning each word.

Ladybug smiled up at Cat Noir and said softly. "I'd like that…I want to go slowly though…I really want to get to know you more and for you to get to know more about me too."

"That sounds like an excellent idea to me." Cat Noir told Ladybug in a soft voice, while at the same time he wrapped both arms around her and hugged Ladybug to him.

Much to Cat Noir's delight instead of pushing away as she had so many times before, Ladybug nestled against him and wrapped her arms around him. "I always dreamed that someday we'd come together like this. This is my Christmas wish come true." Cat Noir admitted to Ladybug his voice still a gentle whisper.

A delighted chuckle left Ladybug. "I'm glad to hear that."

"As much as I am enjoying this my lady, it's getting late and much colder, I think it would be best if we both headed home. I'd never forgive myself if you caught a cold because of me." Cat Noir told her as he reluctantly released Ladybug from their embrace.

Ladybug smiled up at Cat Noir as she said to him honestly. "And I wouldn't like it if you got sick either…Besides it looks like with all this snow around people decided it was best to stay inside. I'll see you for our next patrol and when we are done, we can spend some time together again. Does that sound good?"

Cat Noir shot Ladybug a teasing smile. "That sounds purrfect!"

Ladybug rolled her eyes at him affectionately. "It's nice to know you can still be a silly kitty."

"You wouldn't want me any other way." Cat Noir declared confidently.

Another chuckle made its way out of Ladybug. "No, you're right I wouldn't change you at all. Good night and merry Christmas my sweet Kitty."

Cat Noir lifted her hand, he kissed the back of it, looked up at her and said softly. "Good night and merry Christmas to you too my beautiful Lady."

When he released her hand, Ladybug smiled at him instead of telling him off or taring her hand out of his, she then threw out her yoyo and gracefully swung away from him and into the winter night.

The moment Cat Noir was sure that Ladybug wouldn't hear him, he gave a whoop of pure joy and jumped into the air. "Yes! Finally!" Unable to stop himself Adrian did a happy dance on the roof top.

When he managed to calm himself back down Adrian made his way home, as soon as he was inside Adrian de-transformed, he crossed the room, flopped down onto his bed and let out a happy sigh. He was sure that he had never felt so wonderful before now, Adrian hoped he would have cause to never lose this feeling.

As far as Adrian was concerned having his Lady return his romantic feelings for her at long last was the best Christmas present which Adrian had received in a very long time and he knew that he would look back on this day with a great deal of pleasure for a long while.

"Ugh! You're being all mushy." Plagg complained to him as he fluttered his way across the room to where he slept.

Adrian didn't refute this, instead he just chuckled. "I'm allowed to be mushy tonight! Ladybug actually wants to be with me! Well Cat Noir, but that's a start!"

"Ugh just go to sleep. I don't want you to spend all night going on and on about how wonderful Ladybug is." Plagg whined from his bed.

Adrian chuckled again but decided to be merciful towards Plagg and keep his thoughts and feelings towards Ladybug in this moment to himself. Honestly Adrian was more than happy to hug these wonderful feelings close to his heart and bathe in their warmth.

Marinette entered her bedroom, she de-transformed and let out a deep but happy sigh, before asking Tikki in a voice which had a touch of disbelief to it. "Tikki, have I made the right decision by allowing myself to follow my new feelings and let Cat Noir and myself to have a chance to be together?"

Tikki nodded to her while she said to Marinette. "Yes, I think you have. After all the two of you work well together, you trust each other completely and care for each other deeply. I think if you give him a chance you could grow to love him more than Adrian and most importantly of all you don't turn into a stuttering mess around Cat Noir."

Marinette nodded to Tikki. "You are right…I was surprised by my own feelings for Cat Noir…But embracing them feels right and I at least know that Cat Noir loves me…Or at least part of me."

"Marinette stop fretting! You're right at the start of something new, I know that can be scary, but just let yourself go with the flow and do what feels right." Tikki encouraged.

Carefully Marinette scooped Tikki up, she hugged her gently to her cheek. "You're right Tikki thanks for the great advice."

"You're welcome Marinette." Tikki said cheerfully and returned the hug.

As Marinette released her Tikki fluttered her way to her own bed saying as she did. "Good night Marinette."

"Good night Tikki." Marinette said in return, before she got ready for bed and settled down for the night. She lay for a few moments her eyes lost in thought, slowly Marinette touched her lips and smiled. After laying like this for a little while Marinette took her fingers away from her lips, snuggled down under her sheets and went to sleep.
