A/N: Okay this will be the end of this story. Wow, I don't even imagine that it will go this long even this last chapter go forever and almost gets to 9000 words. I know is not a good job, and some parts do not get the way I want the story to be, but it was fun to write it and I hope that a few people like it. Part-4
Down in the basement, Jesse and the others were walking in a corridor that was in the basement. They already checked two rooms down there, one of them was the laundry room, and the other where a storage room. "Okay… we have only two more rooms to check before going to the end of the corridor where that big metal door is," said Mark after they got out of the storage room.
Jesse pointed his flashlight to the end of the corridor. "Okay… let's move," he said while walking slowly. He checks the wall looking for any sign that indicates the power room. "Do you know what is in those rooms?" he asked the boy.
The boy started to get nervous, but lucky for him it was too dark for the others to notice. "I never go this deep down here… my brother and I were attacked by the ghost in that storage room we just came out.," he said with a trembling voice.
"And you never came back here after you managed to escape?" asked Andrea, now walking beside him.
"Just once… and that was when I found the lamp… it wasn't working at first, but I managed to fix it later."
"Okayyyy… but when you find out that you can scare them with it, why you not come back here and look for your brother?" asked Andrea with some curiosity.
The boy stops walking and looks at her. "I… I just-" he started, but Jesse told them to shut up while he stopped a few feet ahead.
"Shhhhh! I think… I hear something…" said Jesse while pointing the light forward. He was checking the corridor wall when the other two moved behind him.
"What do you hear?" asked Andrea while moving close to him.
"I'm not sure, but…" he stopped when he pointed the light to one side of the wall and saw bloodstains on it. "Did you say that your brother was attacked down here?" he asked while looking at the blood.
"Yes… but I don't think that is his blood… it looks too fresh…" he answered.
"Do you think… is Samy's?" asked Andrea while moving closer to Mark and grabbing his arm hard.
Jesse moved a little forward until he was close to the next door. "I don't know… but it looks like the bloodstain went into this room." He grabbed the knob slowly, but before he opened the door, it opened itself. A cold wind came out of the room before something came flying from inside and landed in front of Jesse. "What the hell..." he started while pointing the light down and illuminated the thing. "Holy… shit!" he said while quickly jumping back.
"Arrggghhhh!" Andrea screamed as soon she saw the half-eating arm on the floor. She quickly moved behind Mark to get away from the bloody thing. "Is that-?" She starts but doesn't finish because they hear something coming from inside the room. They feel a cold wing as it invades the dark corridor. They stayed looking at the darkroom in front of them, knowing that something was coming toward them.
"Arrggghhhh!" The three of them screamed at the same time when one of the scary ghosts came out from inside the room and screamed at them.
They try to run back where the stairs go up from the basement, but the ghost blocks their path quickly and starts to change. "Go!... go… go," yelled the boy while trying to switch on the lamp. "Go to the big room… now!" he said while turning his head to the side and pointing toward the end of the corridor.
Jesse and Andrea turn around and run toward the big two doors that were at the end of the corridor. Soon they get in front of it, Jesse turns around and yells at the boy. "C'mon… we need to get inside,"
The boy starts to move backward as he continues to try to switch on the lamp. "C'mon… you piece of-'' he said while hitting the thing a little. Soon the monster finished his transformation, he launched himself toward him. The boy falls down but continues hitting the lamp. "C'MON… you piece of shit… work!"
"Wrrggggrrrr…" roared the monster as it moved toward him.

Back in the dining room, the monster that has Dina grabbing by her neck starts suffocating her. "All of you are going to feed us… oh yes… I can feel your fear…" The monster opens his mouth in front of Dina's face and starts sucking her life force.
"Noooooooo!" scream Ellie while running toward her, but before she gets closer, the other monster jumps behind her and kicks her on her back causing Ellie to land on the floor. She lands hard on her front, after that she feels her body hurts like hell. A minute later, Ellie raises her head and looks at Dina. "No!" She started crawling in her direction but the Ghost monster behind her put his foot on her back and pinned her to the floor.
"Now you can watch how we feed… we're going to suck the life energy from all of you," said the monster while pressing his foot hard on her back. Ellie screams in pain while watching some kind of light coming out of Dina's body. She hears her scream in pain as the monster continues. After a few minutes, someone entered the dining area with a lot of guns wrapping around himself.
"Hey, mother Focker… I have something for you…" said Dany while walking behind the monster that had Ellie pinned. Dany raise one of his guns and shot the monster as soon he turned around and looked at him.
"Wrrrggg," the monster roared louder as Dany continued shouting at him. "You… will pay for this… you little-" the monster covers his face with his hand while moving backward and away from Ellie. The bullets don't do too much harm to the creature, but at least it was hurting him.
Ellie was in pain, but she managed to stand up. "Give me one of those…" she said to Dany as soon as she got up. "Here!" Dany throws a shotgun toward Ellie that she catches easily. "Now shot at that fucking thing," said Dany while continuing shooting to the other one.
"Got it!" she said while turning around and started shooting at the creature in front of Dany. After shooting a few rounds Ellie looked toward Dina. "Keep this one busy... I will go and save Dina," said Ellie while running to the other side of the diner.
"Okay… Don't worry about me… go and help her, I will take care of this one," After a few minutes the monster starts to change to his ghostly form making the bullets go through him. "Holy shit!" he said after the thing disappeared. "C'mon you ugly face… come out… and play… I have something for you right here," he started yelling to the creature while looking around the place waiting for the ghost to appear again.
Ellie moves quickly and starts shooting at the one that has Dina. "Hey! Let her go, you asshole…" she yells while shooting toward the creature. The bullets are not really working, but at least makes the thing stop sucking Dina's life force and turn his head around to look at her with a mad expression.
"Do you really think… that that will kill me?" Said the monster while turning around, but keeping his hold on Dina's neck. "Others have tried that before… but don't help them much."
"Well, those people weren't me!" she said while aiming at the monster arm. "And I'm good at killing monsters…" She shoots and hits the thing in his arm where he has Dina grasped. The monster screams in pain while letting Dina fall to the floor. The bullets are not enough to kill them, but sure they hurt like hell."
"You little bitch… you're going to pay for this…" said the monster while launching himself toward Ellie.
Back in the basement, the monster down there launched himself toward Mark but before he went at him the lamp turned on and illuminated the thing in his face. The creature screams in pain while moving his hand to block the light, but is still hurting him.
"Run…"
The boy hears a voice out of nowhere. "Billy? Is that you?" he asked while looking around.
"Run… now." he hears it again.
He watched the monster move backward and start to change back to his ghostly form and disappear. Mark looks around and tries to see if it was his little brother the one that talks to him. "Billy is that you?" he asked again before he felt two hands grabbing him under his arms and starting to pull him up.
"C'mon Mark… we need to get inside… the room," said Andrea while pulling him up.
"C'mon you two… we don't have all night…" yell Jesse from the entrance of the big room.
Andrea helps Mark up and starts running toward the door. Jesse goes inside and waits for them to get in before closing a few minutes, the ghost shows up again and flouts toward the two teens, but Mark turns around before entering the room and hits him with the light again. The ghost screams in pain and disappears again. Andrea quickly pulls Mark in and Jesse closes the door and puts the lock on.
Andrea bent down and put her hands on her knee while trying to get some air back to her lungs. "That was close…" she said after a few minutes.
"Yeah… it was," said Jesse while turning around and looking at the boy. "I don't think the door is going to stop him… so let's find the power switch and turn on the lights," he said while starting to use his flashlight to look at the place.
"Yeah… it has to be in here…" said the boy with a trembling voice. Then he looked toward Andrea. "Thanks… you know… for going back there and… helping me," he said a little shyly.
"Sure…" she said with a smile. "I just want to get the hell out of here." She turns on her flashlight and starts to look around too. "Do you think that arm… belongs to Samy?" she asked while looking toward Jesse now.
"I don't know… but there are a lot of bloodstains in this place too," he said while illuminating one of the walls and seeing all the bloodstains all over the wall. It was old, but something told him that this was a bad place to be. He turned and looked at the others. "Let's find that switch and get out-" he was interrupted by Andrea screaming.
"ARRRGGGGGG!"
"What is it?" asked the boy while running toward her. Then he saw why she was screaming. Andrea quickly moves to his side and hugs him, burning her face on his chest. The boy put his hand around her and hugged her back. "Is okay… is only a dead body…"
Jesse runs to their side and looks at the dead body on the floor. He tries to see if it was Samy, but the body has both arms and doesn't look like him. "Is this man from the people that came here before?" he asked the boy.
"I think so… I never saw them again after the ghosts attacked them and took them away." the boy answered quickly.
Jesse gave the boy a look before he pointed the light around and saw a few more bodies and more blood all over the walls and floor. All the dead bodies look the same like their bodies were sucked dry from inside and only remain the mummified corpses. "I thought you said they killed each other…?" said Jesse after a few minutes. He moved closer to one of the dead bodies and looked at it carefully. "If that was so, why don't I see any bullet holes on this one?" he said while turning his head and looking at the boy.
Andrea moves a little away from the boy and looks at Jesse. "What do you mean?"
Jesse stood up and pointed the light toward the boy. "What I mean is, that you friend here… didn't tell us the whole truth… is not that right… mark?" he said with a suspicious tone.
Andrea turns her head toward the boy and looks at him. "Is that true? Did you lie to us… did you lie to me about all that happened here?" she asked with a hurting voice.
The boy looked at her with a shameful sight. "I… I'm so sorry for hiding a few things from you, but what I told you was the truth… I just didn't tell you the whole truth…" he answered her.
Andrea gives him a disappointing look. "So you lied to me? I can't believe that I trusted you… I thought that-" she was interrupted quickly by the boy.
"No, I didn't lie to you… I just…" The boy moves closer to her but Andrea just moves back. "Look and so sorry for don't tell you everything, but if-" he stops when the door of the room starts to get hit hard.
Jesse quickly pointed the light toward the door and saw the movement as it got hit. "Shit!... he is back…"

Back in the dinner area, the monster that had Dina before, launched himself toward Ellie. But Ellie quickly aims her gun at the thing and shoots. The bullet hit him in the chest and made him stop for a moment, but that wasn't enough. "I'm going to enjoy this…" said the monster before going after her again. Ellie dodged his first attack and shot at him, but after a few rounds, her gun went out of bullets. "What are you going to do now… you little bitch?" the monster said while looking at her.
"This!" said Dany from Behind the monster as he threw something cylindrical toward him. "Cover your eyes!" he yells to Ellie before the thing hits the floor in front of the creature and flashes a strong light that illuminates the whole room.
"Arrrrgggg!" The creature screams in pain while covering his eyes with his hands and moves away from the teens.
In the confusion Dany moved quickly toward Ellie that was now kneeling in the middle of the room, trying to get up after the flashing boom stun her a little. "Are you okay?" he asked while grabbing her arm and helping her up.
"Dina!... help Dina…" she said as soon as she was standing. "That thing... it was doing... something… to her…" she told Dany while rubbing her eyes.
Dany looks around and finds Dina a few feet away. Her body was under a table and it wasn't moving. "Can you hold yourself? I need to check her out..." he said before moving away.
"I'm okay… I just need a few minutes to recover…" she said with some difficulty.
"Okay… take this, and watch out for those things… I know they're here hiding somewhere," he said after passing her a rifle and walking toward Dina. Dany was getting closer to her when a table in front of him got pushed away violently.
"Wrrrrrgggg!" in a second the other ghost showed up in front of him. "You… will pay for this…" said the ghost while floating toward him fast. The teen tried to move to the side, but got pushed by the ghost and landed on the floor a few feet away.
His landing was hard but managed to get a grip of his gun and shoot at the ghost again. The bullets pass through it and do nothing to the thing. Dany looks at Ellie while standing up. "Ellie! Go and help Dina, I will keep this thing occupied…" he said quickly.
"Go it…" she said while moving as fast as she could toward Dina.
The ghost looks at her but turns his head around when Dany starts shooting at him. "You.. . humans never learn…" says the ghost while moving toward him. Dany goes up and starts running in the opposite direction making the ghost follow him.
Ellie moves as fast as she can and kneels beside Dina and checks her pulse. After a few minutes, she felt it. As soon she felt it, Ellie let go of a breath that she was holding in. "Dina!... Dina!… wake up… please!" Ellie was shaking her body trying to make Dina open her eyes, but she didn't. After a few minutes, Ellie started to slap her face to wake her up. "C'mon… I know you're stronger than this… we need to get out of her and I need you for that…" she shook her body a little and was going to hit her again, but her hand was caught before she did. Ellie opened her eyes wider in surprise.
"I think... that… is… enough… unless you want... to have rough sex… after this," said Dina with a weak voice. Ellie quickly embraces her and holds her tight against her body.
"I thought… that… that thing would kill you…" said Ellie while burying her face on her chest. The two girls were interrupted by the sound of a shooting inside the room. Ellie moves away from Dina's chest and looks toward Dany.
"We need to get out… now!" he said to them while moving around looking for the ghost that had disappeared again.
"Right!..." said Ellie while starting to get up from the floor and trying to help Dina by grabbing her arm to help her up with her. "C'mon… we need to find the others." Soon Ellie and Dina were up, Ellie put her arm around her waist while Dina put hers on her shoulder. "C'mon Dany, let's get out of here…" said Ellie while starting walking toward the entrance.
"Go ahead… I will go behind you…" he said while turning around and starting walking backward. Dina and Ellie were close to the entrance when they felt one of the ghosts appear behind them.
"Where are you two going? This is not over yet…" said the ghost that has Dina before. He looks at the two girls and starts to change his form.
Dina and Ellie turn around and look at the thing behind them. "You fucking shit... can't you just give up and let us go?" said Dina with a furious tone.
"Why will we let go of our dinner?" said the other ghost after appearing behind Dany. He quickly turned around and try to shoot the ghost, but the thing grabbed him by the neck before he could do anything.
"NOOOOOO!" Ellie screamed as soon she saw the other ghost grabbing Dany.
"Just… get… out…" Said Dany with some difficulty.
"We're not... going to leave you here… to die," said Dina while trying to move away from Ellie and go and help her friend.
"Just… GOOOO!" he yells while letting go of his gun out of his hand and reaching for something in his chest belt. The ghost transforms himself into the ugly creature and takes his solid form.
"Don't worry… your friends are not going anywhere…" The monster opens his mouth and starts sucking his life force. The other monster watches with pleasure how the life of the boy was sucked away. Dany moves his head a little and looks at the girls and shows them what he has in his hands.
"Nooooo…" yelled Dina and Ellie as soon as they saw what he had in his hand. They saw the boy smile at them before he turned back to the monster. Ellie grabbed Dina's arm and turned around to start running toward the entrance.
The monster that was behind the girl turned his head around and watched them run toward the crystal door. "Where do you two think you are going?" said the monster with a furious voice. But before he can go and chase the two girls Dany looks at the monster that was sucking his life.
"This… is… for… Samy… you ugly… motherfucker…" he removes the pins from the two cylindrical objects he has in his hand and drops them. The monster stops sucking his energy force and looks down. Soon the two cylindrical objects touch the floor, they explode.

15 minutes early in the basement room. The door was getting hit hard by the creature on the other side. "Shit! I thought the lantern would scare those things away longer," said Andrea while looking toward the boy. "Oh that was a lie too?" she said in a furious tone.
"I didn't lie to you… I just… left a few things out," he said with a sorry tone.
"Like what?" she said while moving close to him and looking him in the eyes.
Jesse moves close to them and stops them as soon he hears the door starting to crack. "Look I don't care about that now… just tell me where the switch for the power is…" he just asked the boy.
Andrea looks at Jesse with mad eyes. "And how the hell did he will know that? He said that-" she started to ask, but was interrupted by the boy.
"Because I entered this room before…" he said in a sad tone.
"What!... but you said that-" she started but got interrupted again.
"Here is where those things kill you brother… right?" asked Jesse while looking at him. Then he looks at the door when the hitting sound stops. "It looks like the ghost... is gone for now."
The other two look at the door too, but Andrea turns her head quickly and looks back to the boy. "So… your brother was killing here?" she asked, confused.
The boy lowered his head and looked at the floor. "Yes…" Andrea opened her eyes wider at the answer but didn't say anything. " All I told you was the truth…" he said while raising his head and looking at her. "Our parents were killed by infected people, so my brother and I need to find a place to stay after that. We walked in the forest for a few weeks without eating too much until we found this place. It looks weird, but it was a good place to keep us out of the rain and the infected people. As soon as we get in, we found some food inside the kitchen when we started to explore the place."
"And you didn't see the ghost back then?" asked Jesse.
The boy turned his head and looked at him. "No… we never saw anything here for weeks, even months. The place was empty." he answered.
"So what happened?" asked Andrea now.
"After finding food and shelter in this place we decided to stay here for a while. And start to explore the place a little more. We didn't pay too much attention to the things around here, but after a few months here, we found out what this place was before it became a resort. After that strange things start to happen inside the place. Things move around or disappear from one place and appear in another. Sometimes we hear voices inside the walls. We thought that it was our imagination or infected until we found out that the place has power. So one day we came down here and searched for the power box."
"And did you find it?" asked Jesse.
The boy looks at the teen and continues with his story. "Well, we came to the basement looking for it until we found this room… It was a chain that closed the door and it was sealed with some wood planks too. It looks like somebody does not want anyone to enter this room. But it was the only place we didn't look for the power box, so we decided to open it."
"And you find the ghost in here?" asked Andrea more curiously now than mad.
The boy looked at her with sad eyes. "Yes… soon we started to take down the wood plank, we found a sight that said 'Do not open this door under any circumstance' my brother tried to stop me from opening, but I wanted the power on so bad, so I decided to open it. At first, we only found this empty room, it had not much on it… just junk and rusted things, but as we continued looking around we found that" he stopped talking and pointed to one of the back walls.
Jese turns to the slide and points the light toward the wall. There was a brick wall with a hole in it. Beyond that was an entrance that had an elevator on it. "Is that an elevator?" asked Jesse with curious eyes.
The boy looked at the hole too. "Yes, but it doesn't work… I already tried. It looks like someone damaged it on porpoise."
"So the monster came from there?" asked Andrea.
He turned his head and looked at her. "I think so… but I don't know what is down there and… without power, I don't think it will work."
Jesse moved forward and illuminated the part inside the hole. "So the ghost came from down there… So what happens next?"
"Those things that came out of the hole and attacked us… but they were only ghosts… I never saw them become monsters like that… I swear it." He tried to convince them that not all the things he said were lies.
"So what happened next?…" asked Jesse while looking at him now. "Did those thighs kill you brother and didn't kill you?"
"We try to escape… but those things come out from that hole and attack us… we try to get out of the room, but they catch us. We were so scared that I tried to convince you to let us go…" the boy fell to the floor with his knees.
Andrea quickly kneeled beside him and put her hand on his shoulder. "Why didn't you tell us all that before… we will understand…" she said with a calm voice.
"You don't understand... all this was my fault…" He put his hand on his face and started crying.
"I don't understand…" said Andreawhile looking at him with a sad expression.
The boy lowered his and looked to the floor, not wanting to see Andrea's eye while he confessed what he did. "They didn't kill me… because I was the one that freed them… When they grab us, they thanked me for releasing them from their prison and said that they will spare me life." The boy tried to hold his crying and continue. "They need to get fed, that was they said while looking at us. So the one that has my brother said that they were going to eat my brother…"
"Oh… my God!" Andrea put one hand on his shoulder. "And they do that in front of you?"
He looked now at her face. "I tried to stop them… I told them to spare my brother and do whatever they want with me… but the one that has him started doing something to him… until… he ended like them," he said pointing to one of the dead men in the room. He put his hand on his face and start crying again.
"I'm so sorry for-" Jesse started, but stopped as soon the door started to get hit again, but this time harder. "What the hell?" he said while turning his sight toward the door.
"We need to get out of-" Andrea started but was interrupted when the door cracked wide open and the creature from before, was in the entrance of the room.
"Wrrrgggg… you're mine now!" monster road, before moving quickly toward them.
"Get behind me…" said Mark to Andrea while grabbing the lamp and standing up. He quickly tried to make the lamp work, but the thing didn't work again. "C'mon… you piece of shit… work!" The monster was closer to them but stopped when an explosion sound could be heard from the upper floor and the whole place trembled. Jesse, Andrea, and Mark fall to the floor before the place stops moving.
The creature turns around and screams. He quickly changes to his ghostly form, flouts out of the room, and disappears.
"What the hell was that?" asked Jesse while trying to stand up again.
"I don't know. But it sounds like an explosion…" sad Andrea looking at the entrance of the room.
Mark stands up and whips his eye with his hand, then he turns around and extends his hand toward Andrea that was still on the floor. "C'mon we need to get out of here before the ghost comes back," he said hoping for the girl to continue trusting in him. She looks at him for a few seconds, but finally grabs his hand and starts to get up. Soon she was up, the boy looked into her eyes. "I'm so sorry for not-" he was quickly silenced by a kiss.
The boy didn't know what to do but stayed there on mobile while Andrea was kissing him. He never was with a girl before, less been kissed by one twice. All of that was new for him, but it felt good.
Jesse moves to their side and rolls his eyes. "C'mon you two… this is not over yet," he said before starting to walk toward the entrance.
Andrea moves away and looks the boy in the eyes. "Thanks…" is the only thing she said after kissing the boy.
"Why… you do that for… I don't do anything," he said, not knowing why she kissed him after he lied to her about himself and what happened there, even after telling them that those ghosts got out because of him.
Andrea didn't say anything. She only grabbed his hand and pulled him with her. "C'mon… let's get out of here… we can talk when all this is over," she said while following Jesse out of the room.
He still has the lamp in his hand when Andrea pulls him away. "What about the power swish? Are we not going to try to fix that?" he asked while continuing walking.

Up in the lobby, Dina and Ellie were on the floor covered by some wood debris that got blown up in the place. The dinner area was on fire as half of the wall of the building that faces the outside was gone. Ellie starts moving after a few minutes and starts removing some of the wood pieces from her. Soon she moves a few of them, she gets into a sitting position. She touched her head where it hurt, then looked at her finger and saw some blood on them. She was still in shock from the explosion but quickly realized that Dina was not beside her.
"Dina!... Dina!" She starts calling her while trying to get up. But her entire body hurt like hell and it was difficult to do it. After a few minutes, she managed to stand up and start to look around for Dina. After a few minutes, she saw her under some piece of wood. "Dina!" she yells while walking as fast as she can toward her. Soon Ellie was beside her, she started to move the pieces of wood off her. "Dina… are you okay?" she said while lowering herself to the floor and putting her head on Dina's chest. After a few minutes, she hears her heartbeat. "Oh… thank… God!" she said while moving her head up and looking at her face.
Slowly Dina started to open her eyes and notice that half of her body was on Ellie's lap. "We need to stop... getting... in this kind of position… or people will start to talk," said Dina with a weak voice.
"Well. I don't care what people think… and I like the thought about us getting closer in better circumstances," said Ellie while looking down at her face.
"If we… get out of here live… you have a dating girl…" said Dina smiling.
"You got yourself a deal… " she answered while giving her a big smile. "Now… c'mon… we need to get up." Dina starts to move out of her lap even though her body hurts too. She starts to move up when from the side corridor of the resort they hear some voice coming from that direction. Ellie and Dina were finally up, when Jesse, Andrea, and the boy show up in the lobby.
"What the hell happened?" said Jesse as soon they walked into the lobby and saw the destruction and the small fire coming from the dinner section. As soon he saw Ellie and Dina moving away from the reception part as it was getting on fire, he walked close to them. "Are two alright?" he asked as soon he got closer.
Ellie was holding Dina by her side while slowly walking toward the others. "Yeah… we're fine… well more or less," answer Dina.
Andrea and the boy were walking behind Jesse looking at the destruction on the back of the lobby and the fire that was starting to spread through the dinner section. After a few minutes, Andrea walked beside Jesse and looked at them. "We need to get out of here… at that race, this place will burn out completely…" she said while they got closer to one another. "Where is Dany?" Andrea asked as soon she noticed their missing friend.
Ellie and Dina look at each other than at her with a sad expression. "Sorry… He didn't make it… the monster attacked us and…" Dina stops at the thought of their friend gone. Some tears started falling down her cheek.
"He sacrificed himself to save us…" finished Ellie.
Andrea stops walking as she gets shocked by the news. "What!... What happened?" she asked with a sad tone and some tears falling from her eyes too.
"I'm so sorry… Andrea. He found the weapons and a bag... while we tried to distract the monster, but they almost killed us… apparently, there were a few grenades inside the bag he found and he used them to blow the monster up." said Dina while they started to walk again and get away from the fire.
"The monster said that they killed Samy too... is that true?" asked Ellie.
Jesse moves closer to them and stands beside Andrea. "We didn't find his... body, but I think they killed him," said Jesse remembering the arm the monster threw at them.
The fire started to grow and move out of the dinner area. The smoke started to fill the place. "We need to get out of here before we die of suffocation." Said Ellie while coughing a little.
All of them start to look at the front door that is still closed. "How are we going to get out? The front door is still closed and the fire will destroy this place soon," asked Andrea after wiping her tiara with her hand.
"We can try to open it again… since the ghosts were destroyed and they seem to be the ones that controlled it… maybe it will work now." Say Dina while looking at the front door.
"We can try… but I don't think that will work…" said the boy while moving beside Andrea and putting one hand on her shoulder. "I'm so sorry about you friends… I know that all of this is-"
Andrea turned to her side and put a finger in his lips to shoot him up. "This is not your fault… you didn't know…" she said while looking at his sad eyes. Yes, they lose two friends, but blaming all on the boy is not right, even if he was the one to let them out.
Dina and Ellie look at them. "What does he mean by that?" asked Dina quickly.
"Is a long story… one that we can talk about later… let's just get out of here before we all burn out or die from the smoke," said Jesse while walking toward the front door. The rest start waking too behind him.
"I told you… I don't think that will work… at least not yet."
"Why not?" asked Ellie.
"Because they-" he starts talking, but stops when the place starts to shake violently and things start to fly out and crash on the walls. "Because they are not all dead…yet," finished the boy while looking at the front door and saw the last ghost appear from the floor and get between them and their exit.
"Fuck! I thought we killed them all…" said Dina while looking at the monster that now we're bigger than before.
"You fuking kids… kill my brothers… now all of you are going to pay… Wrrrrggggg! The monster roared as he launched himself toward the teens.
"Watch out!" yell Jesse that was the first in his line of attack. He barely managed to dodge the attack from the ghost but landed hard on the floor. The ghost continues his way toward the other while they try to move out of his way. The ghost flutters toward Dina and Ellie and pushes them to the side violently and continues toward the boy and Andrea.
"You!... you are the one responsible for this… I should suck you, soul when I have the chance…" said the ghost while floating fast toward him.
The boy quickly pushes Andrea away from him and up the lamp in his hand and points it toward the ghost. "You baster kill my brother… and all those people after him… but that will stop today…" he turned the swish on, but the lamp didn't work. "Shit!... not now!" he said with a disappointing tone.
"Wrrrrggggg!" the ghost roared before getting closer to him and grabbing his body. The ghost pushes him toward one of the walls and pins him there. As soon as he did that, the ghost started to transform himself into an ugly creature and looked at the boy's face with a mad expression. "Now… I will suck you dry… as I did with you, little brother..."
"Nooooooo!" Andrea screams from the floor while looking at them. "Let him go… you bastard freak!" she yells at the creature after throwing him a piece of wood she finds on the floor beside her.
The monster looked at the girl, but that only made him angrier. The thing turned his head back to the boy and squeezed his neck harder. "It looks like your new friend like you… did she know it was your fault that all those people died?" The boy tried to speak, but he was getting out of air. "Don't worry boy… I will leave you for the end. I want you to watch how I suck the life out of them first… starting with your girlfriend…" The monster throws him to the floor a few feet away, then turns around and looks in Andrea's direction. The girl watched the boy hit the floor hard, then looked with a horror expression at the monster that slowly was walking toward her.
Ellie and Dina stand up, while the smoke was starting to cover part of the lobby and was making it hard to breathe. "We have to do something…" said Dina while covering her mouth and nose.
Ellie looks at the entrance and notices the light entering through the wall's holes. The rain has stopped and the sun is out now. "We need to get that thing close to the sunlight… The boy said that sunlight can kill them too."
Jesse moves closer to the two girls. "Yes… but how are we going to do that?" he said while watching the thing moving toward Andrea. "We're out of time… if that thing doesn't kill us… the smoke will…" he said while covering his mouth and nose too.
Ellie was getting out of air but looked around for a solution. Then she saw her backpack and remembered that she brought a few things that can be used to make a nail bomb. Dany blows the other two with a few grenades, so maybe she can blow this one too. "I have an Idea… but I will need a few minutes."
"And how can we give you that?" asked Dina quickly.
Ellie looked at the front walls and saw a big hole with a lot of sunlight coming in. "Grab that wall mirror on the sidewall and use it to point the light toward the creature." she said while moving toward her backpack.
Jesse and Dina move as fast as they can and grab the mirror from the wall. While they were walking toward the front wall, they saw how the monster grabbed Andrea and lifted her up.
"Arrrggg!" Andrea screams as the monster moves her closer to his face.
"Now little one I will suck your life first." he opens his mouth and starts sucking her life force.
A few minutes early in the lobby. The boy was lying on the floor a few feet away from the monster. His entire body hurts, but he manages to move his head and see the monster eating Andrea's soul as they did with his brother. He needs to stop him. He can't let that thing kill her as they did with others. All this was his fault, he was the one that let them escape from their prison in the basement. The boy tried to move, but his body didn't respond, but he needed to try, he needed to save Andrea even if that cost his life.
"You can do it, brother… you need to get up… and help them…" said a voice in his head.
"Brother?" he asked while looking around him. "Billy? Is that you?" he asked again.
"There is not much time… you need to save them and yourself…" he hears the voice again.
"I… I'm so sorry…Billy... all this was my fault… I should listen to you…" he said sadly. "You're dead because of me after I promised our parents that I will take care of you… and all those people… are dead too," he said with tears in his eyes.
"I don't blame you… I still love you," said his little brother ghost before appearing beside him.
"But you're dead because of me… and I didn't do anything to stop them…"
"You couldn't do anything for us, but you can do something for them… it's not late… you can save them," After that, his brother's ghost disappeared.
"Brother!... don't go…" he yelled toward the empty space his little brother was a few minutes ago.
"Save them…" the voice sounds like a distant echo now.
Mark closed his eyes and even with the pain he felt in his body, he gained the courage and strength to move it. Slowly he started to move and told himself that he could do this. After a few minutes, he got into a sitting position. The boy looked around and saw the lamp beside him. So slowly he moves to his side until he grabs it. The boy started to stand up and soon he got on his feet, he pointed the lamp toward the monster and got ready to shoot.
"HEY… YOU UGLY… MOTHERFUCKER… I'm RIGHT HERE…" he yelled while moving closer to the monster's back.
The monster stops sucking Andrea's life force and turns his head to look at him. "Ohhhh… you're awake… good, because I want you to see how- Argggggg," the monster scream as soon as he got hit by the light.
"I will do what I should have done a long time ago… I will kill you," he continued hitting the monster with the lamplight until the monster dropped Andrea to the ground.
The thing turned around and looked at him with mad eyes. "I'm going to enjoy killing you… boy," he said before moving toward him.
"NOW!" yelled Jesse from the other side of the room. Dina and he have the mirror in position and use it to reflect the sunlight from outside and hit the monster before he has time to grab the boy.
"Arrrgggggg!" The monster screams as he gets hit by the light from two sides. He tried to cover himself with his hand but the light hurt him so much that he just started to move back. After a few minutes, the thing starts to change the form, so he can escape.
"Ellie, whatever you are going to do, do it… NOW!" yell Dina while looking at the thing and knowing what he is trying to do.
"He is trying to escape… we need to do something now…" said Jesse from the other side of the mirror.
Ellie looks at them as soon as she finishes with her bomb. "Just move…" said Ellie before she threw the nail bomb toward the circular acrylic window height on the front wall. Dina and Jesse drop the mirror and move away from the place and hide behind a couch. The bomb goes high and is exploited in front of the acrylic, making a big hole there. The sunlight goes in and hits the monster's body before he manages to change.
"Arrrrgggggg!" the monster screams as the light starts to burn his body.
A few minutes later, the lamp stopped working again, but it served its purpose. Mark drops it to his side and quickly moves toward Andrea that was now unconscious on the floor. He kneels beside her and puts her head on his lap. He tries her pulse, but he doesn't feel anything. "C'mon… Andrea… you can't die after all that happened." he lowered his head to touch her forehead with his. "Please… wake up… I need you," he said in a lower voice.
After a few minutes, the monster moves toward them screaming, but before he gets closer another ray of light hits him and makes him scream even more. "Take that you piece of shit…" said Ellie while opening the two front doors wide, so more sunlight came in.
"Arrrrggggg!" The monster screamed louder as his body was getting consumed by the fire.
"We need to go… Now!" said Dina while walking behind Ellie.
The boy looks at Andrea's immobile body and kisses her forehead. "I… love you…" he whispers before starting to move up. He grabs Andrea's body with his arm and stands up. Then he starts walking toward the front door with the girl in his arms. He was maybe 15 but he was taller and in good shape.
"How does the door go open?" asked Jesse as soon he got closer to Ellie and Dina.
"I don't know… I just try the handle and they open…" Said Ellie while looking at him.
"Who cares… I just want to get out of here…" said Dina while moving toward the doors. Soon the boy gets closer to them with Andrea in his arms, Dina looks at them with wider eyes. "Is she dead?" she asked, wanting that that not be the case.
The boy looked at them with a sad expression. "I don't think so… but she is not waking up."
Jesse moved closer to the boy and put his finger on Andrea's neck to check her pulse. After a few minutes, he looked at the boy. "Yeah… she has a pulse, but weaker… let's get her out of here, the smoke is not helping her."
Dina moves toward them and puts one hand on the boy's back and starts to guide him out. "Let's just get her out of here… the doctor in Jackson can check her up," said Dina while moving out with them. At that moment they hear a creepy sound coming from the middle of the lobby. All of them turned their heads and looked toward the lobby. They all saw the monster in a flame crawled toward them.
"This… is not… over kids… there are others… that will hunt you down…" said the monster before stopping and collapsing on the floor while the flame consumed his body into nothing. They all looked around the lobby and saw that the entire building was getting on fire.
"Lest get out of here…" said Ellie while moving through the door and going out. The rest of the teens follow her and walk out of the place. They walk into the parking lot and continue taught the fence and into the forest. Soon they were far enough from the place, they turned around and watched how the entire place started to get consumed by the fire.
Mark looked at the front door and saw his brother's ghost standing there waving his hand at him, but he didn't say anything to the others. "Godbey brother… I'm so sorry I could not protect you as I promised," he said in his mind.
"I forgive you…" he hear his brother's voice in his mind and saw his brother's ghost smile at him. "Have a good life brother… with your new friends… will be together again one day," said the younger brother before he disappeared.
After that, the boy looked at the other with a sad expression. "I'm so sorry about you friends… I wish that I never-" he was interrupted when Dina put her hand on his shoulder.
"Don't blame yourself for that…. You try to help them and you kind of save us in the end."
"But… I was the one that freed them… so is my-" he was interrupted again.
"No, Dina is right you didn't know those things were down there and after that, you only do what you need to survive… so you don't need to blame yourself for that," said Jesse while moving closer to him and looking at Andrea face that was still in his arms. "Besides it is partly my fault too, I brought them here and they are dead because of that."
"Can we... talk about whose... the fault was... later… I just want to get out of here and go back to Jackson," said Andrea with a weak voice.

All the teens look at her with surprised expressions. "Oh my… Are… are okay?" asked the boy while looking at her face with watery eyes.
She gave him a weak smile. "My body hurts… like hell… but I think… I'm fine…" she answers him.
The boy lowered his head and touched her forehead with his. "Thank God…that you wake up... I thought that you-" she moved her arms slowly toward his body and hugged him as hard as she can. The other teen moved closer to them and hung them in joy. After a few minutes, they move apart.
"I'm so glad that you're back…" said Jesse while looking at the girl's face.
"Us too…" said Dina and Ellie at the same time.
Mark lowers her down until her feet touch the floor, but still holding her body close. She turns around and looks at the others. "I'm glad too… I was not ready to die today," She looked toward the resort that was now completely in flames. "What now…?" she asked.
"We go back to Jackson and try to explain what happened to Tommy and Maria," said Jesse.
"And you think they are going to believe us? Dany has family and Samy too… what will happen with that?" asked Dina while looking at the others.
"I will take all the responsibility… this was my idea... remember?" said Jesse while looking at her.
"Yeah, but we all decided to come… you didn't force us and that includes Dany and Samy… so this is not your fault. Besides, we don't know what was inside there… we can tell them that."
"Can we talk about... this... on the way back?… I do not want to be here anymore…" said Andrea while looking at the others.
"Yeah… let's get out of here," said Ellie while giving it a final look at the place. "I don't know about all of you, but Joel is going to kill me after he finds out about what happened here."
Dina moved beside her, put her arm around her shoulder, and pulled closer. "I don't think you old man will do that… he loves you too much… Besides, we have a date to fulfill... remember?"
Ellie looks at her face and smiles. "You still up for that…?" she asked playfully.
"You bet… also I wanted to thank you for saving me back there a few times…" she leaned forward and kissed Ellie in the lips. Ellie was surprised at first but melted herself into the kiss after a few minutes.
The others look at them with surprised expressions too. And wait for a few minutes before saying something. "Okay that was a little exciting… but we have a long way back. Besides, we need to figure out how we're going to explain all this to the people in Jackson," said Jesse while looking at the place again.
Ellie and Dina move apart and turn around to look at the place too. Mark and Andrea do the same while Jesse joins them too. All the teens stand beside one
another watching the place burn.
"I can tell you one thing… we are never going to forget this Halloween…" said Ellie while watching the place.
