Hey guys! Welcome to the fifth installment of my 'Under the Mistletoe Series Part Two'

What is this series? Well, around this time six years I got the song 'Holly Jolly Christmas' stuck in my head and wrote eleven drabbles based on kissing underneath mistletoe, and each one was for a different ship. This year I decided to do a Part Two and really challenge myself by writing something for each day from 1st-25th December. So twenty five ships, all kissing under mistletoe, like my own personal advent calendar as it were. Each one can be read alone. I know that not everyone is going to want to read every fic in the series, but I hope that you find them all enjoyable regardless, I know I certainly had fun writing them.

This is my first time writing for this pairing. I really like their dynamic, hopefully I did alright, I would like to write more for them in the future ^_^

Enjoy, much love xox

The view from the tallest buildings in New York never got old, Peter loved to sit up there for hours and just watch the bustle of the city in the peace that the altitude provided with no one disturbing him but the birds, and occasionally Wade Wilson of course.

Now that it was winter New York was freezing and even though his Spider-Man suit was insulated it still got pretty chilly when he was just sitting around on the tops of buildings waiting for bad guys to do bad things. Although Christmas was only a few days away and nothing brought thieves out like people spending money and buying presents. It was his Christmas gift to New York to round up as many scrooges as he could and leave them tied up with a bow for the police.

Wade on the other hand would be out there doing crazy shit and getting into trouble like usual. It wasn't like he was a bad guy he just did some questionable things sometimes, but he meant well. Maybe that's why Peter liked him being around so much…wait did he say 'like?' What he meant was…alright, you got him; Peter liked Wade. The only problem was Peter wasn't sure if Wade liked him…well of course Wade liked him, but you know like liked him. Jesus was he fourteen still?

Wade was always hanging around bothering and distracting Peter, but he was also actually a pretty deep guy once you dug beneath the humour and got to know him. He was a bit out there but he had a good heart and he'd saved Spider-Man a few times too. Peter knew that Wade didn't really have any family and he probably didn't have many friends either, and so Peter wanted to invite him over for Christmas. Trying to get in contact with Wade to ask him was another story though. He didn't have Wade's phone number and he hadn't seen the red and black suit running around town recently, and Christmas was creeping up really fast.

Peter dangled his legs off the edge of the tower, he was deep in thought as he watched the coloured rectangles move through the streets. He wondered if he should get Wade a Christmas present. Would Wade think that was weird or tacky, or would he love it? Maybe he should get his unique friend a new Hello Kitty backpack since his old one had broken recently or maybe a unicorn onesie as a joke (not really a joke though since he knew Wade had a love for unicorns)?

He decided that the backpack was probably a little bit out of his price range so he decided to go with the unicorn onesie; it was more fun anyway. Peter flung himself off of the tower and quickly shot out his webbing, easily swinging himself from one building to the next as he got lower to the ground and started searching for the type of store that would sell a unicorn onesie.

Peter remembered about a costume shop a few blocks from his current location that was likely to stock animal onesies. He swung his way over to the store and landed himself on the awning on the front of the store. The awning was decorated with tinsel around the edge and he briefly got tangled up in it with his webbing. In an attempt to detangle himself, Peter knocked a bit of the tinsel lose, but finally he managed to detach himself and then use a fresh piece of webbing to slowly lower himself upside down from the awning to browse through the window.

The store seemed basically empty which was good since he was in the suit; he didn't want to get changed though because he forgot to stash a jacket with his change of clothes and he didn't fancy freezing to death.

Peter was just about to let himself down so that he could go in and browse properly when a figure came to stand in front of him. Upon refocusing Peter recognised the black and red face mask with white eyes; of course Wade Wilson was standing in front of him in his Deadpool suit.

"Hey Spidey, how's it hanging?" he chuckled to himself; Wade thought he was the epitome of humour.

"Deadpool? What are you doing here?" Peter tried to act casual as if he wasn't there to buy a present for the guy standing in front of him.

"Checking out new outfits, you know how I just love to play dress up," Deadpool made a cheesy pose as he spoke and then said, "I should have known that you liked to dress up too," he gestured to Spider-Man's outfit.

Even from under the mask covering Wade's face Peter could tell that he was grinning. He didn't know what Wade was smirking about but he didn't have time to dwell on it as Wade suddenly stepped forward, gripped the back of Peter's head in his hand and then kissed him through their masks. Peter was so surprised that he lost his grip on the webbing and dropped to the ground unceremoniously.

"Damn I thought that would work better," Deadpool bemoaned, "can you get back up there, I think we should try that again without mask interference."

Peter's heart was beating a thousand times a minute and his palms were sweaty, "What the hell Wa-Deadpool?"

"What? You were dangling under mistletoe; I wasn't wasting a perfectly good opportunity to kiss my favourite arachnid."

Peter's brain short circuited for a moment; Wade wanted to kiss him? By the time he had rebooted and come back to the moment, Wade was already starting to walk away as if nothing had happened.

Wait! Deadpool, wait," Peter called out chasing after him.

Wade stopped and waited for Peter to catch up with him, and then they stood there staring at each other while Peter figured out what to say.

"You know usually when you ask someone to wait you have something else to say to them," Deadpool commented patiently.

"Would-would you like to come over for Christmas?" Peter finally blurted out.

"I dunno…I mean, I did promise Al that we would make fun of radio presenters together."

"I wouldn't be wearing my mask…" he said enticingly, and then awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck, "and you never know, there might be more mistletoe hanging around."

"Well I have to come now, I've gotta defend you against all of the other superheroes trying to kiss you."

Peter was grateful that he was wearing a mask; otherwise Wade would have seen him blush like a school girl, "So, you'll come for Christmas then?"

"It's a date Spideykins, gotta go," and with that Wade was off; being absorbed back into the bustle of the city.

Peter wasn't entirely convinced that he hadn't just hallucinated that whole thing, but regardless of if he had or hadn't he still went into the costume store and bought Wade a unicorn onesie. It was sure to be a memorable Christmas.
