A/N: Okay this poem was inspired by Brokeback Mountain even though I haven't seen it yet. Of course it doesn't have to be interpreted that way. Really the only reason I put this poem in this section was because it was inspired by a trailer I saw for the movie. This poem was meant to just be in the perspective of someone in anguish and can be taken any way that you wish to take it.
Disclaimer: I don't own Brokeback Mountain. I wouldn't even consider this poem to be about the movie so no worries!
Forbidden
If I was to say that I loved you
More than I have loved anyone my entire life
Then why should it be forbidden?
If I said that there was nothing I wanted more
Than to just see you again
Then why should it be forbidden?
The pain that surrounds me is always there
When I remember the fleeting love we had
It seems that it now consumes me
Like a knife stabbing again and again
And there is nothing to stop the internal bleeding
The wound remains forever open
If I was to say that I could not live without you
And that only you could ease the pain
Then why should it be forbidden?
If I said that the sight of you
Makes my heart beat faster than a drum
Then why should it be forbidden?
So now I will say it one more time
I love you forever and always
More than you will ever know
Why should a love so strong
Be forever forbidden?
A/N: Okay so criticism is always welcome as long as it is constructive. I welcome anything that might help me improve my writing.
