For months it's been like this, a constant tug of war that is approaching mundane.

No matter how hard she tries to change it, change him because he won't change himself and at the same time she's trying to save him from himself but he won't let her.

All he's doing is pushing her farther and farther away until at some point she knows that she'll soon be pushed far enough until she'll need to leave, to get away from him.

He is not only his worst enemy, but he has become hers.

Sitting in the brightly lit apartment she realizes that at some point that may come soon she will have to turn away from his ocean and sky blue eyes and walk away.

The day that she is fearing yet desperate for has actually come, she tells herself with brutally painful honesty.

He's managed to not only beat uphis radiocar partner, but he's managed to once again get himself in to hot water with Cragen and he's managed to leave her in the deepest dark she's ever been in.

From now on it will be professional because she cannot do personal anymore.

He's pushed her too far and she's just too tired now...
