Alright, I'm back. Sorry if this is shorter than you were hoping for, but I do have another interlude coming tomorrow. Anyway, enjoy.

Pages were being filled before his eyes. A wide smile was plastered on his face as his eyes scanned the new words that were covering the pages of the book. They were words that would look like nonsense to anyone else but to him, they held great meaning. They told him how to achieve his goal. They told him how to achieve love

"Ahh, so I must wait." The man whispered as he forced the words on the page into his mind.

"Must." He shoved his tongue through his teeth. "Wait." He bit down on his tongue.

New writings continued appearing on the book's pages. Some of the words were obscured by the blood dripping from the man's mouth.

"I must wait for one year." He read to himself.

He took his left hand and ran it through his grimy hair.

"I will complete my plan at…" He grabbed a large tuft of his hair.

A word appeared at the end of the page.

"Priestella." He tore hair out of his flaky scalp.

No more words appeared on the page. The man shut the black book and pushed it into a specialized pocket in his robes.

"Yes, I can wait." He wrapped his bony arms around himself.

The man began to rant his voice growing higher. "Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Angered waiting, forced waiting, long waiting, short waiting, waiting, patient waiting, impatient waiting, slothful waiting…" The man's smile disappeared his eyes showed a hint of anger.

"Slothful waiting." His eyes grew angrier. He bent his entire body to the left then the right.

"Or." His eyes were shining with bright insanity.

"Waiting could be…" He bent forward so his face was even with his knees.

"DILIGENT!" He shouted as his back snapped straight and his arms stretched out in a Y.

"Yes diligent waiting, industrious waiting, and productive waiting."

"Waiting." The man's hands reached into his green hair.

His eyes began to roll around as if they weren't even connected to his brain.

"I can wait diligently for…" A smile split the man's sickly green face.

"LOVE!" His expression grew more wild and insane. The hooded figures that surrounded him looked on patiently. They had gotten used to the madman's antics.

"Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love-"

Fortuna. A tiny part of his mind whispered. "Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love."

"LOVE!" He finished his rant. He tore even more hair from his skull. I'm sorry Fortuna.

He turned to the hooded men that surrounded him.

"Come we must, must, must go to the watergate city." The sickly-looking man threw his head back, "IF WE ARE TO RECEIVE HER LOVE!" He screamed to the hooded men.

The hooded men began to walk towards the exit of the cave. The mad man followed with an insane smile. At the exit of the cave, he slammed his head against the rock.

"Diligence." He muttered before he stuffed his index finger into his mouth and chewed into it. I'm so sorry Fortuna.

Back in the cave, a self-satisfied smile grew on the platinum-haired woman's face.

"I didn't realize how easy it would be to manipulate you. The last time I tried it was quite a bit more difficult." The girl's smile grew as she remembered her encounter with the man in the Elior Forest.

"You were so much more… Diligent, back in those days, Petelguese Romanee-Conti." The smile faded from the woman's face.

"Well enough reminiscing. I must find a replacement for Sloth."

She closed her eyes to think. After a few minutes, her eyes snapped open. A new smile forming on her face.

"Ahh. That one will be a wonderful replacement." The witch mused.

Hope you enjoyed this chapter. See you all tomorrow.
