The audience murmured with excitement as they wait for their grand entertainment until a single gasp broke their conversations.
Up there in the air was a bird that bares a resemblance to a phoenix, but instead of their usual sun-like appearance, this one has the grace of a blue moon, shimmering silver as it slide down to the stage.
Once it reached the stage, its form changed. Its blue coloration shifted into a purple one, decorated with stars. Its wings feathered into a cape, revealing the blue unicorn herself.
"The Great and Powerful Trixie!"
The audience cheered loudly for the grand mare, causing her to smile.
"The Great and Powerful Trixie is here to bring happiness to everypony!"
The audience gasped when the lights turned off.
Two lights appeared onstage; One light pink and the other was a darker shade of pink. The darker pink glow was just slightly above the light shade, even a tad bigger than the lower.
The two glows suddenly clashed, creating a big spark.
The lights turned on. There was another gasp from the audience.
Pointed at her neck was a broadsword surrounded by a pink aura, but Trixie didn't flinched. That aura itself belonged to the Princess of Friendship herself, Twilight Sparkle.
The audience was in an uproar as Trixie glared at her. The princess simply smirked.
"Twilight Sparkle," Trixie almost growled. "Do you have to ruin this grand performance?"
"It wouldn't be fun if we did this out in the open." Twilight said. "We're just helping you out by making this show exciting."
"We?"
In small, colorful puffs of smoke, six more ponies appeared onstage with them. Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash each has a condescending smirk, almost identical to Twilight's. Trixie's eyes widen in terror, seeing the sixth pony who appeared along with them.
"Starlight!" Trixie shouted, reaching out a hoof but couldn't go any further with the sword at her neck.
Gagged and bounded by rope, Starlight was held captive by these six ponies.
Twilight slowly circled the blue unicorn as the sword was still pointed at her neck until the purple alicorn was by Starlight's side, holding her up by her neck. Swiftly, the broadsword's blade was pressed again Starlight's neck, only enough to not hurt her. The pink unicorn tried not to make a noise, hoping her throat doesn't graze it.
Under the two's hooves, a circular platform risen higher and high, creating more platforms for her friends.
Trixie can't help but to stare at the very top, trying to make sure Starlight was okay as her ears could hear her audience's worried murmurs.
"Climb to the top and let's see who'll win this, but first, you must defeat..." One by one, Trixie's enemies showed off a weapon of their own. "...My friends!"
The blue unicorn glared, but in her mind, she knows that she can't back down. Who knows what Twilight would do to her Starlight? She needs to get there and quick.
Her horn glowed, creating a broadsword of her own out of her magic.
She ran up the stairs in hopes to reach her star.
Starlight blinked at the blue unicorn squirming in her hammock. She was confused by her sleepy noises, as if Trixie was fighting off somepony. As the same time, the magician sounded oddly happy, so she let her be for the night.
Fun Fact: This was actually a story I made a long time ago but never finished, so that's why there's an abrupt ending to it. Also, yes, the whole fanfic was suppose to be placed in a dream.
