Part of the "Spring Cleaning 2019" Event
Hello there everyone and welcome to yet another idea that popped into my head that's preventing me from writing my other two stories "Didn't See That Coming" and "A Wizard with a Rulebook" (though the "a" should be a "the" in my opinion). Yes, yes, my loyal followers of mine I promised to get chapters of those stories out sooner, however, it's stories like this that pop into my head that prevent that from happening. Yes, I promised at the beginning of "The Demon's Homecoming" that I would work on the aforementioned stories, and while I did start on that this one popped into my head when I started reading the story "Blind Fury" (id: 10824203) by monblade and thought that is could definitely work inside of the Star Wars universe using a similar set up. Note that it will not be a rip-off of his story's first chapter, only that Harry's condition is going to be similar and have a similar teacher. So, let's get on with it: content advisories.
Blind!Force-sensitive!OOC!Harry – So the whole premise of "Blind Fury" (the fanfiction as there is apparently a series by the same name) is that a blinded Harry is taught by a samurai/ninja wizard in the ways of ninjitsu and use magic to "see". Similar premise, but using the Force and a certain Jedi Master. The OOC part is specific as he won't be the same as he is in canon.
Mentor/Instructor!Kota – And as I said above, Harry will need a mentor to teach him the ways of the Force, Jedi Master Rahm Kota will be the guy for the job. Well I mean the guy uses the Force to see and can fight crap-tons of Stormtroopers and deflect blaster bolts with relative ease.
Timeline – This specifically will happen during the Galactic Civil War, aka the Original Trilogy.
Disclaimer: I own nothing except for my laptop and my copy of MS Word. Star Wars belongs to Disney, regrettably. Harry Potter belongs to JK Rowling, Scholastic Books, and the Warner Brothers for the characters, publishing rights, and movies respectively.

Corellian upper atmosphere, Rogue Shadow.
Former Clone Wars General Rahm Kota sat in the cockpit of his… well, he didn't know what to call him, now that he thought about it. Regardless, the ship he and ex-Imperial Juno Eclipse resided in used to belong to one Galen Marek, otherwise known as Starkiller, Darth Vader's secret apprentice. Unfortunately, the young man had joined the Force less than a day prior when he sacrificed himself to save the leaders of the newly formed Rebel Alliance, formerly known as the Alliance to Restore the Republic when he could have taken vengeance upon Vader instead. They had returned Mon Monthma to her homeworld as well as Bail and Leia Organa to Alderaan; and now after returning Garm Bel Iblis to Corellia the lone two occupants of the Rogue Shadow sat in high orbit, just floating along while the newly formed Rebels gathered their forces in order to fight Empire.
Kota stared into the starfield that filled the cockpit's viewport impassively. Well, not really staring as he was blind thanks to Galen's misguided attack on Kota at the secret TIE factory on Nar Shadaa. However, he had used the power of Force Sight in order to see around him. While he couldn't see fine details like words, he could see figures all around him as well as their intentions towards him and others. Not quite knowing where to go, he immersed himself in the Force. While his eyes stared blankly forward, his mind was letting the Force guide his actions. He punched in a set of coordinates into the navicomputer, a set that when he thought about it didn't exist.
"Captain Eclipse, take us to those coordinates," Kota said finally.
"General, why go there? There's no known system there," Juno asked while looking at a map of their destination, a point three parsecs inside the unknown regions.
"True, however, the Force is telling me something is there, something worth finding."
Juno just sighed in resignation, there was no way to argue with Jedi. She plotted a course before saying, "Next stop: somewhere," and pulled the lever activating the hyperdrive. Stars stretched and elongated before the ship entered a blue tunnel.

Two weeks later, undiscovered system. Sol, Earth, Little Whinging, Surrey.
Darkness. Darkness is all he could see. He wanted to see something. YEARNED for it. Hours ago, he had been released from a free medical clinic where he received treatment for severe damage to his eyes. Primarily puncture wounds from bone fragments from when his uncle Vernon smashed his face in with a Cricket bat when he stopped a Cricket ball flying at him for a split second when Dudley and his friends were hitting balls at Harry intentionally while he was doing yard work for his aunt.
Unsurprisingly Dudley tattled on Harry, Harry got his face smashed in by Dudley's bat, Harry needing to go to the doctor to get himself patched up at his aunt's insistence to his uncle, and now here he was barely getting through the pain with baby aspirin as his uncle would not spring for actual pain medications while he sat on a bench in the local park he had wandered to from memory. It was unsurprising too that he was moping as well, as the last thing he would ever see in this life would be his irate uncle swinging a bat at him.
The antiseptic soaked bandages covering his eyes itched and burned as they were held in place by gauze. As he wondered how he would get through life now, as young as he was only eight, he felt someone sit on the swing next to him. "It never gets any easier," a man said. "What was the last thing your eyes got to see?" he asked bluntly.
"My uncle trying to hurt me, badly," Harry sobbed as the pain was returning once again.
He then felt two thumbs rub the sides of his head, the pain started to subside to a dull ache rather than sharp pain. "What did he hurt you with?"
"A cricket bat," Harry replied before wiping his nose with his grossly oversized shirt sleeve.
The old man could only hum in thought. "There is something unique about you, did you know that?" he asked.
"N-no?" Harry replied with caution. After all, he didn't want to give away that he was a 'freak'.
"You're lying to yourself. There is more to you then you could possibly imagine. Have you not observed odd happenings when you are stressed out or under pressure?" Harry didn't respond, confirming it for the man. "There is more than one way to see."
"What do you mean?"
"Stretch out with your feelings. Allow your mind to search for the things around you. Don't think, but feel," the man stressed. "Allow your instincts to guide you."
Harry sat in silence as he let his feelings guide him. Slowly, but surely, he could feel things come into focus in his mind's eye. Sitting next to him was an older man who had something covering his eyes as well. He could see the playground that he once saw in passing when he had passed by the park when being taken to school by his aunt and uncle. He could see trees and squirrels jumping between them. He could see the automobiles traveling down the street. The more he focused, the more he saw.
"You see it, don't you?"
"Yes," Harry responded in amazement. He had never seen anything like this before. "How is this possible?"
"The Force. An entity that grants extraordinary powers to people. You happen to be one of them."
"Who are you?"
"My name is Kota."
This would be one of the many lessons that Harry would learn from the man named Kota.
To be continued…?

And that's all I have for this one. This was another one of those stories that are sort of lost to time thanks to being started back in 2015 with no additional notes on where I really wanted it to go. I did like the idea of this idea existing and so, I polished the rest of the idea off where it would make sense to end and posted it, similarly like the other 2 stories that were very incomplete pilots. One of my favorite blind!Harry stories is "Blindness" by AngelaStarCat (id: 10937871), and this was one of those ideas that came from it. Blindness is a really cool story and I would recommend checking it out.
But that's all I really have for this one. I have no idea if I'll come back to this idea someday or not. But until then, what did you guys think about the idea. But one thing is for certain, if I revisit this idea, it'll have to be completely retooled to fit my current writing methods as you can tell that a large majority of this, mainly that opening, is a relic from my previous writing style and I've changed in 4 years.
Let me know what you think in the usual places. Until the next thing.
