'Another day of school and trying to control these powers of mine... how on Earth do I even have powers to begin with? Neither of my parents have ever shown signs of having abilities... so than why me? There are only two options, 1) one of my ancestors had said abilities and for some reason I was chosen to have them as well or 2) I'm a reincarnation with no memories of the past life I held... I'll take option one since option two sounds to farfetched and everything' Ash thought as he walked downstairs and got himself a bowl of cereal with milk

Sighing he walked over to the living room and took notice that he still had about a couple of minutes till the bus arrived. Grabbing the remote as he sat down on the couch, he turned on the TV and left it on the channel his mother had been watching last night

"That's Dan with the weather report. Now over to you Gabby"

"Thank you. In other news, I'm here standing at the Hall of Justice with none other than the Justice League welcoming their newest member"

Ash looked up curiously at the TV screen and looked on in awe at seeing the various heroes. He's been a big hero fan and remembered when he was younger how his father would play with him...

"It seems the rumors were in fact true! The newest member is none other than Lucario" Gabby stated with clear surprise as on the screen, Lucario slowly appeared

The raven-haired teen almost dropped his bowl at seeing Viridian's hero joining the League. He wouldn't have expected this since it's been 3 years since Lucario first appeared. His conversation with May suddenly came to mind;

" Just remember you don't have to do this on your own. After all, you've seen the Justice League and how they work with their own partners too" May had said that day

"Yet Lucario himself has neither a partner nor works with the League" he countered

He was brought out his thoughts by Gabby signing off as this made him look at the time and saw he only had 3 minutes till the bus arrived as he finished up his bowl and was out of the house almost as if he was the Flash

Hopefully nobody would talk about this at school... after all who watches the news?

Much later, lunch time

"Did you hear about Lucario joining the League!?"

"I know! Who would have expected that!"

"What I would have given to be there in person!"

Everyone was talking about Lucario's new position in the League and it was kinda driving Ash nuts. Sometimes technology could be seen as the enemy, especially in this case since no one would stop talking about it... everyone in the entire school had to know about this by now!

"Hey Ash!" Gary was heard as Ash lifted his head slightly from the table

"Have you heard the news?"

At this Ash slammed his head back on the table, making Gary look confused as Leaf slowly came up to the table "Gary, everyone's heard the news and frankly it's getting annoying just hearing it everywhere I go" she said, sitting down beside Ash

"You can't tell me you weren't the least bit surprised by that though?" Gary asked, not yet ready to let the conversation go

"If we answer, will you let us eat in peace?" Ash asked in a monotone

"Yes"

"Alright, I was absolutely shocked" Leaf said in an annoyed tone

Ash laughed at the brunette's tone and slowly turned to Gary; his tone suddenly soft "I was surprised. 3 years of being a hero and suddenly Lucario is seen joining the League. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to actually see and interact with him or any other hero in person"

At this both Gary and Leaf burst out laughing "Keep dreaming Ash" they both said as Ash glared at them, but said nothing

However, for some reason he felt as if something was going to happen today

After school

Ash was seen walking through the streets with a gloomy aura around him. He couldn't believe he had to get partnered with her of all people! He'd much as rather do the whole project himself than share the credit with that she-devil

Flashback

"Make sure you all finish your project by the 20th. I don't want to hear anyone say they need an extension again... you don't get in this time, it's a zero" said Ms. Bertha

Ash placed everything in his bag as the other students all trailed out the door. Just as he was about done, a honey blonde teenage girl appeared

"Serena... is there something you need?" he couldn't help but ask coldly as the popular girl rolled her eyes at his attitude

"You don't like me, and I don't like you" Serena started

"Glad we established that" Ash mumbled

"Here's how this is gonna work, you'll do 90% of the project and I'll do the remaining 10%"

Ash's eyes widened at this "I'm basically doing the whole thing!"

"Do you have cheerleading practice?"

"No"

"Are you on the national skating team?"

"No"

"That's why you're doing most of it! You don't have a life, especially since your dad died" Serena said with an evil look

"No one was supposed to know! Your old boyfriend told everyone! At least Calem can respect other people's privacy and not go gossiping to everyone"

"Whatever. Have everything done by this Friday and I'll do the rest. Heck I might have to even double check all your work too. See ya loser"

Flashback over

Thinking about the encounter made Ash grow slightly angry as he clenched his fists

'I wish something would happen to her and her merry little popular gang. They never had to suffer before! I mean Dawn's like them, and she never treats any of us like we are less than her... it's because of Dawn that Lillie changed. May flat out denied popularity when she stood up to Paul and his goons... the school social ladder sucks'

An explosion was suddenly heard as Ash stopped his walking and ran in the direction; he had heard the loud noise come from

Looking at the building, Ash and many other civilians watching all looked shocked as another explosion was heard, making many look up and saw rubble falling

Many started rushing out as the way, with Ash being knocked to the ground. The teenager could hear people yelling for him to move, but his body wouldn't budge or respond. All he could do was shut his eyes tightly and hope for the best... except nothing happened

Opening his eyes, Ash saw a glowing blue shield protecting him and also none other than Lucario a few inches away from him. The raven-haired teen could only stare in utter shock at having one of his favourite heroes right in front of him and had to bite his tongue to not go into hero fanboy mode

"You shouldn't stand around like that. I'd have hated to think what would have happened if I wasn't here" he said as he held out a hand for the teen

The teen slowly grabbed ahold of the hero's hand and felt something. Looking at Lucario he also saw him with a surprised expression. Before Ash could even ask, the hero was gone

"Hey, you alright kid?" someone asked, but Ash didn't hear him

He kept his gaze on Lucario and wondered just what on Earth could have happened

Meanwhile Lucario was also thinking about what just occurred 'That kid... could he actually be-'

"An aura user?"

Ash and Lucario finally meet! Since these two have finally met, this story is almost over. 1 or 2 more chapters and then I'll start working on the sequel :) I originally thought of putting the whole story together, but decided to make it trilogy instead. Till next time! ;)

To the guest who commented about this being a variant of Amazing Spider-Man, this story will have certain elements from the movies, but other than that wouldn't be a complete copy of the movies
