I check my current situation. An enemy clan was in our camp and cats were on edge. I take a swift look at my leader just in time to see her tail flick. It was a quick and quiet signal but most definitely noticed. The dead silence that surrounded the clan cats was suddenly filled with screams and yowls as dust and moss were kicked and clawed in the air, war-cries. The blood of each party was already filling the air with the stench of rusted copper. I stood in one place, calmly watching the battle of the two clans unfold in front of me. All my instincts told me to jump on the closed enemy and tear out a chunk out of their throat, but I resisted.
Instead, I slowly paced forward, my narrowed mismatched eyes swiftly but unemotionally darting side to side. The Quirks of other cats were tearing up the location and other pelts. Some cats' intestines were tangled in branches of trees and bushes from a quirk that can blow things up by touch. A cat head of a familiar calico from the other clan rolled in front of me from my right, its cold Amber eyes staring soullessly into mine. Blood spattered on my left cheek as one of my own clanmates was slaughtered. I paid little attention to the unwanted cat slaughter as I activated my Quirks for a battle I was about to face myself.
My eyes glowed faintly in the afternoon sunlight- hiding the actual brightness that illuminated my vision like a flashlight. I stood to my full height as stone Chess pieces (six in total) started levitating at my sides. I saw in my peripherals that three were on each side. Two Queens, a white and black one, and a white King were on the left. A White Rook, a Black Knight, and Bishop on the right.
A very small number of cats know what this quirk is capable of and only my leader and I know its weaknesses. This quirk I call Soul-Warrior. It's a mix of all three of my quirks and I am easily able to fool people into believing I have four. Sometimes.
The white Queen glowed a faint mix of amber yellow and ice blue. I squinted my eyes at the Chesswoman and saw a Black figure running towards me from behind it. She was fast and at an un-catlike pace. Must be her Quirk… I thought. Or at least one of them. I must be careful. I don't know what she might be capable of.
As the distance between us decreased I turned to face the blue eyes she-cat calmly and in a respectful manner- nodded. I was at my full height. Which was smaller than most cats. She might be an enemy warrior but my moral code does not allow me to disrespect even the evilest being in the universe before it forever becomes an unwanted spirit.
The facial expression on her face told me that she was surprised at my sudden respect for her. However, it didn't slow her down. She kept running towards me, speeding up slightly as she started to circle me around me like a shark in the cold depths of saltwater landscapes. If I were to guess, I think she was either trying to distract me while some other cat snuck up behind me or she was trying to find an opening to get through- maybe both.
At her third time around she skidded to a brief stop before lunging at my face, an act of trying to blind another- rooky mistake.
A rustle from the bushes behind me and her plan clicked in my mind. I knew exactly what she was up to and she thought I was dumb enough to let her plan slip past me? I slid out of her path in the last second and the other cat behind me ended up under her deathly paws instead.
I guessed she hadn't realized that her plan hadn't worked and who she jumped on was her clanmate because she bit into his throat and ripped it out before throwing it to the other side of the small clearing victoriously. His blood was now soaking her thin pelt and his face was frozen in shock and disbelief- he was dead.
The she-cat lifted her head at me and the triumph in her face turned to shock as she froze in her spot on top of the dead tom. Slightly nodded and blinked at her in a manner that said I was sorry about the attack's outcome. She unfroze and slowly turned her head to look at the body beneath her and a sudden blood-curdling scream escaped her mouth as she lifted her nose to face the sky in mourning.
My facial expression did not change- but the tone of my voice was modest as I spoke to her. The chess pieces faded away knowing that I didn't need them at the moment.
The back of my enemies' pelt was on end. Her Ice blue eyes were giving me a side glare as her face was filled with anger and vengeance for her lost one. " You stone-faced mangepelt!" she hissed. My eyebrows raised slightly at her directed words of criticism. " Ma'am, that was incredibly rude of you to assume I am Stone-faced." I meowed, flicking my tail slightly. The British accent laced in my words made my calm voice eerie.
She stepped towards me and snarled. " This was your fault you little brat!" she hissed. " You'll pay for this!" and again she lunged at me but this time with a more powerful burst of energy.
Dodging again I brought out the chess pieces. This time the glowing white Queen was levitating in front of me, begging to be played. Reaching my paw at it at the same time my opponent landed I threw it at my left side and it shattered into pieces.
A faint white glow was rising from the pieces like an inverted shadow and the she-cats eyes widened - stupified from the unexpected turn of events. I huffed as my expressionless face had turned into a lopsided smile.
"You're the Apprentice that my leader wants dead because of Bloodstar orders… you're his son, you're Bloodstar's son!" The she-cat swallowed and stepped a pace back, her ears pinned down on her head in fear.
" Yes I am, and now I got you exactly where I want you, Iceheart." I purred. A brief pause and the glowing light started to take form into another cat. Luminescent, and still glowing the light figure stood to its paws. "Checkmate."
The star on the luminescent cat's forehead flashed and it charged running through Iceheart before disappearing. A few moments later the black she-cats eyes glowed white and her mouth did as she screamed and before she dropped to the floor, Smited.
I pace to her body and stop a paw step away as I watch smoke radiating off her pelt. Her eyes were burnt out and now her sockets were oozing black blood. She was definitely dead.
I take another minute of looking at the burnt crisp of a body before turning around and heading back to camp. The other clan turned tail and fled after hearing their clanmates scream, leaving my clan's territory in shambles.
The leaves on the bushes and small trees were splattered in blood and fur. Some bodies were hanging by a thread on branches or dismembered. Others were burnt, iced, mangled, or missing.
Forestclan was in a river of blood and bodies. I stepped over a brown tom with green eyes and three tails that had his guts spilled out before finally reaching the camping grounds. I squinted my eyes and sighed at the blood-freezing sight. Dens were torn down or dirtied, herbs were scattered everywhere and bones blocked the leaders' den entrance.
"What a pity, Breezclan did quite a number on us," I whisper to myself before helping with the mess. The faster this stench was cleaned up the better.
