Chapter 13: A Crow's Defeat and a Hidden Truth.
.
.
.
Things have started to take exciting turns; though none of the things that have transpired were according to the original plan. The Excalibur fragments were a means to an end, nothing more. Swords to be stolen, and would then be used to draw out the right people, his perfect audience.
But what Kokabiel got at first was a useless priest, and then he gets a couple of Excalibur wielding exorcists. A far cry from what he hoped. Stealing those swords should've got the attention of a Seraph; preferably Michael, Kokabiel was the one who stole them after all.
But now that he gave it some more thought, this outcome was a likely one. Ever since his departure from this world, those of Heaven were too afraid of coming down to earth. They feared what might happen should the rest of the world learn what they've desperately tried to keep under wraps.
When one looks at it like that, then who else could they send except members of the church; but Kokabiel would have liked to have their strongest here tonight.
Kokabiel, high up in the sky, looked down below at the forest. Watching the exorcist's desperate attempt when facing the stolen Cerberuses and Freed with his Excalibur Rapidly; a pitiful, if not an amusing sight. But it amounted to little more than entertainment, a prelude for what is to come.
Valper told him of a peculiar turn of events; this day's had several.
The exorcists weren't alone.
Fighting alongside them were two humans, a Devil and a Youkai. The Devil and humans were of no interest, Saddler and Terra will soon deal with them, and that Devil must be a member of either the Gremory's or the Sitri's Peerage. But that would work in the end; the Devil's death would draw out her master so things will move along quicker.
But this Youkai was a different story. She was just a raccoon, nothing more than a rodent. Yet in her possession is the other missing Excalibur fragment, Excalibur Blessing.
This was not unwelcome; it only meant that six of the seven fragments will soon belong to him. But how could a Youkai possibly have obtained that sword? "The source of Holy Power I felt deeper in the woods was no doubt the Excalibur Blessing." But if Kokabiel could sense it in use...then that would mean this Youkai is using its power.
A Youkai in command of Holy Power and a True Holy Sword...Interesting...very interesting...killing her would be a waste.
A scream from down below stopped his pondering about the Youkai. The ten winged Fallen Angel could see one of the two exorcists down on the ground, covered in cuts; she was spent.
Kokabiel indulged Freed playing games with the last one standing, one with blue hair. Watching Freed's psychopathic nature always gave Kokabiel a good laugh, and he succeeded in getting Excalibur Destruction from her. Freed jumped at the chance and retrieved the blade, and with Valper's help, a Fused Excalibur came to be. Things are finally ready to begin, soon he will move on to the Devils that live in this town.
But Kokabiel kept his eyes on the last standing exorcist...she wasn't done. She wasn't gripped with fear or with the sense of defeat. Instead, she was looking around, waiting for something...a chance perhaps. This girl must have some kind of plan or an ace up her sleeve.
Kokabiel would have wanted to see it, but with how close to the finish line he is, he's done waiting. The Fallen Angel slowly flew closer to the ground until his shadow fell upon her. "Well now, it seems congratulations are in order Valper." His voice caught her attention, and she looked up.
"Now that was the fear and sense of defeat I wanted to see." She knew who he was, and what's about to happen. "With the Fused Excalibur now complete, these followers of God are of no more use. Although one may prove beneficial to have as a prisoner...We don't need the extra baggage." The unconscious one will do, so the other one can just die. Kokabiel created a Holy Spear and casually threw it at her; she had no hope of tracking it or avoiding it.
He hit his mark, and she was swallowed up within his attack, nothing would be left of her; his first kill of the night, but the night was young. He was about to fly away, but a new voice stopped him.
"Sorry I'm late ya'know...Traffic was a nightmare."
Kokabiel knew he wasn't hearing things; someone else just showed up. The Fallen Angel turned around and looked in the direction of the one who spoke. But what he saw didn't make sense.
"She's alive?" There she was, in the arms of someone new, she avoided his attack? No that wasn't it...her face was rife with confusion...her survival was not of her doing.
He turned to her saviour and saw a...another human? He was the one who saved her? And avoided his attack as well?
He had spiky blond hair and had strange marks on his cheeks. His clothing was not typical for humans, in fact, Kokabiel didn't recognise it, nor did he recognise this human. But if he evaded his attack and saved her in one fell swoop, then he's worth a second look.
Kokabiel went to feel his power; his mind went a mile a minute, wondering what this human has to offer...Kokabiel felt...nothing...
"What is this embarrassment?!"
No magic.
No special artefact or weapon.
And most importantly, no Sacred Gear.
This human was pathetic, less than nothing, a true example of how low the human race is. "What trash has wandered into my war?" This human was nothing but an eyesore.
But his shout got him to look up...yet the human looked at him with a smile, as if he was happy to see him...Does he not knew who he is?
"I take it, you're Kokabiel!"
No, this human does know him...so why is he so confident?
.
"Found you." This day has been a pain in the ass for them. But Naruto's clone can say a couple of things went well. The cross opened, he learned more about Devils, and now he has Kokabiel in his sights. "Well...are you him?!" The clone asked again.
Kokabiel stayed in the sky, looking down on the clone; not that he knew it was a clone. "You are correct, I am Kokabiel. If you know that then you should be well aware how misplaced you are, little human." The Fallen Angel grew a smug expression, mocking the lesser race.
The clone crossed his arms and smiled back at his taunt. "Oh, I'm not misplaced. I've been looking for you all day."
"Want to die that badly."
"Nah, I've just heard how much of a misbehaving crow you've been. I mean really, starting a war, how stupid are you?"
Kokabiel tilted his head in confusion. "You're aware of my aim?" How's that possible? "You are either more intelligent than the usual rabble, or your master is well informed."
"What makes you think I have a master?"
Kokabiel had a dark chuckle, finding his question amusing. "Isn't that all your species amounts to, serving those above you." Devils, Angels, Fallen Angels and more, the human race has always been someone else's lap dog.
"I'm going to enjoy this."
"Hey, I'm the one fighting him."
"And I get a front-row seat to the show." Naruto now has to kick his ass for Kurama's entertainment; easily the most important thing right now.
"Ya'know Kokabiel you really should quit while you're ahead, I am going to kick your ass. You've already struck oil, why you gotta keep digging?" The more Kokabiel talks, the more the clone whats to get started.
Kokabiel shook his head in cold disappointment; fighting this human was beneath him. "Freed, remove this trash."
"You got it, boss!" Freed readied his new fused sword, using its power of Excalibur Rapidly, he ran at Naruto with great speed. "Die die die blonde!" He swung and went for the kill.
Mere inches from the blade reaching his target, the clone countered. In that moment, the clone kicked Freed in the gut before his sword could finish its swing.
Freed was sent flying back, travelling across the forest and going straight through a tree. The top half of the tree fell to the ground, as chips of wood were sent in all directions.
"Sorry but I'm going to keep on living."
Kokabiel stayed silent for a moment, as his mind processed what he just saw. "That human could keep up with his speed?" With the power of Excalibur Rapidly on call, Freed would be nothing but a blur to most humans who have magic or Sacred Gears. This human had neither and yet...
The Fallen Angel then created a Holy Spear and threw it at the human, at the same speed he used against the blue-haired exorcist.
The clone saw it coming a mile away, and quickly picked up Xenovia, and jumped out of the way, avoided the spear and the explosion.
"He can react to me too." Kokabiel wasn't putting any effort into it, but this human could still react to his attacks, and Kokabiel saw it with his own eyes this time. It's not a trick or a fluke. "Perhaps I need to re-evaluate you. You're not as pathetic as I once thought."
The clone put Xenovia down, but she was still stunned by all this. "How are you doing that?" She couldn't keep up with Freed or Kokabiel. Naruto just did both.
The clone kept his eyes on the enemies. "Not important. Can you still fight Xenovia?"
She nodded. "Yes but I need some cover so I can summon my sword." Xenovia can bring out her real weapon.
"Do it, don't worry, I'll make sure they won't get near you."
Xenovia chose to put her faith in him, and jumped back to start the spell, so she can summon her weapon.
Valper noticed. "She's using a summing spell!" But what Xenovia's summing is anyone's guess.
Kokabiel lifted his hand to create a more powerful Holy Spear. "Too slow." He'll kill them both here and now.
But before he could fire, Naruto's clone got right in his face, catching the Fallen Angel by surprise. "Look who's talking." The clone jumped up to him before he could attack. He grabbed Kokabiel's arm in a tight grip, twisting and aiming his hand upward, and the Holy Spear was fired into the sky.
It's safe to say that Kokabiel missed his intended target.
The clone brought his other fist back and landed a heavy punch right across the crow's jaw. The force of the punch sent Kokabiel flying to another part of the forest; his wings did little to slow his descent to ground level.
But the clone was not yet done, he needed to cover Xenovia. The clone created two Shadow Clones, grabbing both by the hand, he spun in mid-air, only to then let go and send them rocketing to the two giant three-headed dogs.
Both the clones created two massive spheres in their hands, one for each hound. Overkill, yeah, but he wanted to make sure he buries them.
The Rasengans hit the backs of both dogs, digging into their fur and skin. The three-headed dogs yelped and squealed as they were pushed underground, their bones breaking and their blood spattering into the trees around them. The ground shook, and two dust clouds were kicked up and reached high above the tree line.
Xenovia saw it all, and she couldn't explain it. "What was that attack? Was that really Youjutsu?" Where was the magical circle?
The clone in the sky saw their handy work, and with that only three enemies remain. He'll leave the two other clones with Xenovia, while he goes and deals with the crow; who should be hitting the ground any second now.
The clones with Xenovia saw him leave, they already knew the plan.
One of the two clones ran and retrieved Irina, and brought her back to Xenovia.
"How is she?" Xenovia's spell is just about done.
"Alive but she'll need a medic or a doctor." Hinata has medical training, so she can see to her until they get Irina to safety. Maybe take them both back to Urakyoto after this is all done. "Is your spell done yet?"
"It is now." A golden magical circle appeared in mid-air next to Xenovia, and a new sword slowly came out of it. The hilt and about half of the blade was visible, but it was wrapped in chains.
Xenovia reached out to it. "In the name of the saint who lives inside this blade..." And she gently grabbed hold of its handle. "...I hereby set you free...Durandal!" The chains restraining the blade shattered, and Xenovia lifted the sword for all to see.
It was a kind of broadsword, its blade was blue, but its edge was golden. Its handle had a golden semicircular guard that faced its left side. The sword itself was massive, bigger than the one who wielded it. "Now I am ready to assist you Naruto."
The clone that wasn't carrying Irina had one thing to say. "Nice." For both the assistance and the cool looking sword. "If I remember right, and I really hope I do, isn't that sword one of the Four True Holy Swords?"
"It is. This sword is known as Durandal whose power is equal to that of the True Excalibur. It doesn't always follow my orders, so I keep it sealed until I need it." She spoke calmly, but the clone could tell she was happy to be swinging it.
"She can try to hide it, but she's stoked at the chance to use that sword."
"I know the feeling." Kurama wants to stretch his tails and fight.
"I'm sure one day we'll meet someone where I'll need your help." Kokabiel's just not one of them.
Valper ran to Freed who was still on the ground, and he took out a small glass capsule. It had some kind of red liquid. Valper dripped a little onto Freed, and a purple aura covered him.
"Get up Freed!" Valper needed him now.
Freed lifted himself up and picked up his Fused Excalibur. "Alright, alright I'm up fat man." He cracked his neck a couple of times. "Now where's that blond bastard, I'm going to shove this up his ass!"
"It's not just him we have to worry about." Valper knows what sword Xenovia has. "I don't understand...how can you use that sword? My research never got to using Durandal."
"That's because your research had nothing to do with it. I am one of those few who are born a natural." Xenovia pointed her blade at the two priests.
"A True Holy Sword user?" This is the first time Valper has seen one.
"True Holy Sword user, what's that even mean? If that's a thing, then why can Freed, Irina and Raphtalia use them?" A question for later, right now they need to deal with these two.
The clone carrying Irina stood back, while the other clone came to Xenovia's side.
"What's the plan?" Xenovia asked, ready to make Freed pay for what he did to Irina.
"You take him head-on, I'll take his flank, and then we end this farce."
"May I ask why I'm taking point?"
The clone glanced at her. "It is your style after all. Taking them head-on with everything you've got." He gave her a smirk.
One she returned. "Then let's go." Xenovia took the lead and went on the offensive.
"Let's get it on you shit heads!" Freed came at her in kind; using the power of Excalibur Mimic to change the tip of his blade into several whips, which he extended and aimed at Xenovia. She was not deterred in the slightest and easily cut through each whip with her sword.
"Your Excalibur is nothing but a cheap imitation; it's no match for the real thing!" This time, Freed had the weaker blade.
Before Xenovia could reach him, Freed used the power of Excalibur Transparency to turn himself invisible. "Your swords a one-trick pony. Can't hit what you can't see." He mocked her from his concealment.
"No, but I can hear you moron!" Xenovia aimed for where she heard him speak. Her strike cut the trees like butter but missed Freed. He dodged her attack just in time; he still had the power of Excalibur Rapidly.
"Oh shit, you're right." They couldn't see it, but he gave himself a slap on the forehead. Freed then used the power of Excalibur Nightmare, that sword has the power to cast life-like illusions and can even tap into people's dreams. He used this sword's power to create eight clones of himself. "Okay, how about now!" All the copies shouted.
Xenovia didn't know which ones to attack and ignore, and she didn't know if Freed was still invisible or is hiding amongst the copies.
But Naruto's clone knew. He appeared in the middle of the Freeds, but he ignored all of them. Instead, he looked and ran straight at Xenovia. "Xenovia duck!"
Xenovia did just that and dropped to the ground, as Naruto's clone hopped over her, and his leg made contact with something that could not be seen.
The clone's kick revealed the real Feed, his invisibility dropped as he tasted the bottom of Naruto's sandal. The kick knocked him for a loop, and he could no longer maintain the illusions. There is just one Freed now. "You can't hide from me!"
"More like he can't hide from 'me' if we are being truthful."
"Same thing."
"No, it isn't."
Naruto's clone used Chakra to stick to Freed's face and grabbed onto his hands. "That sword doesn't belong to you." He twisted his hands until they snapped and forced him to let go of his sword. Freed couldn't scream or squeal because the clone's foot was in the way; he could only mumble in pain.
Freed dropped his sword, and it stuck into the dirt, he's just lost his weapon. With that act of disarmament, the clone stopped sticking to Freed's face, and kicked him away, but not as hard as last time.
Freed slammed into yet another tree trunk but didn't go through. Even with the knocks he's gotten, Freed could still run his mouth. "Oh come on I just got that new sword! What the fuck is this bullshit!" Freed then looked over to the cowering Valper who was starting to worry for his own safety. "IF YOU'RE NOT TOO BUSY WOULD YOU GIVE ME SOME MORE OF THOSE FUCKING TEARS FAT MAN!" Yeah, Freed's starting to lose it; his eyes are twitching.
Valper was shaken up, but he knew Freed was his only hope until Kokabiel returns. He needed to get the last reaming tears to Freed. One problem, there are two people in his way, and Valper can't fight. So as the brilliant scientist he is, he did the only smart thing...and tried to pass it to Freed...
The obvious happened, and Naruto's clone snatched the capsule when it got halfway; the clone gave Valper a raised eyebrow. "You're the scientist here right; I thought you were supposed to be the smart one?" Like anyone would be stupid enough to let the bad guys get away with stuff like that...right...
Freed cursed Valper's name in his head over and over; now, he has to kill these guys with broken hands. "Valper you're fucking useless!" Left with no alternative, Freed reveled a small Holy dagger he kept hidden in his sleeve, and took it out with his teeth. He held it in his mouth, the only way left for him to carry a weapon. "IM GOinG tO KilL yOU!" Freed was talking with his mouth full.
Naruto's clone had no idea what he just said, but since he took out a dagger..."You really want to keep this going?" Freed then answered with what sounded like 'of course you blond bastard' But the clone couldn't tell with that dagger in his mouth.
Freed pushed off of the tree with the strength of his back. He came at the clone with some abysmal speed.
"Guess he does want to keep this going." This priest doesn't learn.
Before Naruto's clone could do anything, Xenovia rushed past him and charged at Freed, her Durandal held at the ready.
"I've had enough of your filthy mouth you traitor!" Xenovia wanted to be the one to finish this.
Freed titled his head to aim the dagger's edge at Xenovia; he wanted to get her neck. But he was running headlong into a sword with much more reach than his dagger, Freed would never get close.
He just realised where he went wrong.
But it was too late.
Xenovia's Durandal reached Freed first...and cleaved him in half. His upper body was launched into the air from the force of the attack. His lower body was able to take a few more steps past Xenovia; like it had a will of its own, before keeling over and falling to the ground. Blood and guts leaked out on to the grass and the flowers of the forest.
Freed's upper body soared through the air, as his blood squirted out like rain and stained the tops of the trees. He had his last thoughts. "Man this plan was tight, IT WAS TIGHT. I was going to kill so many shitty Devils, and then I was going to go back to the church and flip off the Pope, then crap in his stupid hat...why do I never get to have my fun..." Freed's last thoughts were all the hell he was going to rage when the war was on.
He never got to live his darkest dreams.
His eyes lost their light and slowly closed shut, and his upper body landed in the branches, handing off of a tree.
Freed was dead; he met his end by Xenovia's hands.
Xenovia stabbed her sword into the ground and gave Freed his last rights. "May your soul find condemnation or salvation by God's hand." With that, she turned away, the deed was done. She was done with that traitor.
"That fight was pretty much over. Did she need to go that far?" They could have taken him prisoner.
"A man like that would have had no vital information. You may not like it Naruto, but men and women like him are no longer people, they lost the right to call themselves that." Monsters that kill because they can, because it's fun; with no rhyme or reason behind their actions.
Naruto's clone still thought they should have taken him prisoner, but he won't make a big deal out of this. He saw and heard enough from Freed to know just what kind of scum he is.
"Capturing Valper and Kokabiel is a priority. They are the ones that have the answers." Answers to whatever questions they may have.
Xenovia came to the clone's side and stood in front of him silently for a time. looking at him in a different light. Xenovia then further surprised Naruto's clone by bowing her head to him. "Naruto Uzumaki...Thank you for saving Irina and me."
The clone was indifferent to her gratitude. "Raise your head Xenovia there is no need to bow to me."
"But you..."
"No...I wasn't here when I should have been. So I am sorry for not being here when this went down." As a squad leader...the clone, and by extension Naruto believes he has failed at his duty. They had too many close calls here tonight; it's by luck that none of them died.
"I wasn't here leading them like I should have been...Kurama I don't think my normal style of doing things is working out."
"You can work well with others, no problem. But leading is very different." Naruto doesn't have the same experience leading a team like Sasuke or Kakashi does.
"Yeah...we need to fix this..." Before they go up against stronger enemies.
Valper feared for his life. Freed, his only hope and the one who possessed the Fused Excalibur was no more. Kokabiel still hasn't come back yet, what's taking him so long? Valper needs to run, to be anywhere but here. He took a chance and tried to book it; he will escape through the forest.
Xenovia saw him making a break for it. "You will not escape!" Xenovia was about to give chase, but the clone put his hand out in front and stopped her. "What are you doing? He's going to get away!"
The clone had a cocky grin. "Give it a sec."
Valper kept running, as fast as someone of his stature and age could run; he was already starting to sweat. He looked behind to see them not giving chase...they're letting him go?
That thought was abruptly stopped when he ran into something. Valper fell flat on his back with a loud thump. What did he just hit? He rubbed his head to ease his daze and looked up, and any hope he had at escaping was just gutted.
"Going somewhere tons of fun?" Naruto, the real Naruto blocked his path. To his sides were the rest of the team. Hinata, Konohamaru, Kuroka and Raphtalia were alongside him. "Sorry, but we need you to stick around for a bit."
Valper has now been capture.
All that's left is the crow.
.
Kokabiel found himself in an open area of the forest, near a small lake. He was able to catch his fall before he hit the dirt, using his black wings to hover just above the ground.
He did not fly back...his mind wandered...what..how..."How did he reach me like that...without me noticing?" The human had some speed he'll give him that, he was able to avoid two of his attack as well as Freed's. But Kokabiel still didn't understand how he was able to do that while lacking power. "He must have a Sacred Gear, that's the only possible explanation." This human must have found a way to conceal it. But then what Sacred Gear does he have, what would give him that speed?
And strength; this human can also punch.
Any Sacred Gear Kokabiel knew that would give him speed and or strength are Gears that physically manifest on the user, and that's not happing with this human. "What is this trickery...?"
Kokabiel heard someone approach and looked around, and he saw the human standing on one of the tree branches looking down on him. "Ya'know surrender is an option, you should take it."
Surrender...him, A Fallen Angel surrendering to a human? "Hahahahaha!" Kokabiel burst out in laughter, this human's serious. "You're amusing. As If I would give up right when I'm so close." All he has to do is kill the right person, like Rias, and the war is on. "You know my name, so tell me human, what is yours?" His name might help Kokabiel figure out what his Sacred Gear is; he might have heard his name from Azazel's research with Sacred Gears and the ones who use them.
Naruto's clone thought about it for a second...Nah. "Yeah, I'm not interested in telling you anything. So I'm going to give you one more chance, surrender and make this less painful for ya."
Kokabiel has indulged this human's games long enough. He clicked his fingers, and several Holy Spears formed around him, around thirty spears ready to impale the lone human. "Here's my answer to your trivial demand." The Fallen Angel then pointed at the human, and the onslaught of spears came upon him.
"Painful it is then." Naruto's clone tried to give him an out; he asked for this. The clone reached into his ninja pouch and pulled out several shuriken, covering and strengthen them with his Chakra. He then threw the ninja stars, and they connected with the Fallen Angel's attack. The Holy Spears detonated in the area between the two fighters, the ground between them was riddled with explosions and dust. Neither could see the one on the other side.
Kokabiel wondered if the human was dead, those little weapons would be no match for his power. But then he was forced to shield himself with his wings, as many more shuriken were thrown through the dust clouds and would soon reach him.
His wings blocked the attacks, some shuriken bounced off, and the others stuck to his wings, confusion the Fallen Angel. The ones that bounced off and littered the grass looked like normal shuriken. But the ones that pierced and stuck to his wings had a blue aura surrounding them. "What is that?" He could see it, but couldn't sense it nor understand it...what is this magic?
Naruto's clone wanted to follow up on his attack; he jumped through the dust clouds and dropped kicked the Fallen Angel, pushing him back. "Those wings...it's like kicking steel or something." Those wings were harder than they had any right to be. How can he fly with those?
"It's less to do with the wings and more to do with his Holy Power. But the wings are necessary for flight." Else what's the point of them? For defence; they have magical circles for that.
"Then that's the first thing to go." The clone pulled out two Chakra blades, the same ones that Asuma used, and the clone got right back to fighting Kokabiel. The Fallen Angel ceased his wing shield and summoned two Holy Spears that he then duel wielded, and blocked both of the clone's slashes just in time.
They were deadlocked, both making eye contact with each other. The clone's sapphire eyes were met with Kokabiel's crimson ones. "You have piqued my interest. Don't disappoint me with these toothpicks." Really, knives against a Fallen Angel.
The clone smirked and poured his Wind Element Chakra into his Chakra blades.
Kokabiel saw it again; the same energy that covered the shuriken now formed around his knives. It was shaped to match the blade but had also extended its reach.
The clone pushed against Kokabiel's weapons and his Wind Element cut through his Holy Spears with ease. The spears were cut in half and faded away. The Fallen Angel tried to back up, but the clone pushed further in and slashed once again, aiming for the crow's eyes.
Kokabiel pulled his head back and narrowly avoided the attack, but the extended reach still managed to leave a mark. His eyes were fine, but he was now scared with a diagonal cut across his face, from his bottom left to his top right; right across his nose. Blood seeped out of the flesh wound and nearly blocked the vision in his right eye.
Kokabiel grunted from the attack, but he had to remain focused. He had to get out of there; Kokabiel was at a disadvantage fighting this close. He jumped away and extended his wings to take flight. He quickly reached high into the sky. Feeling his warm blood on his skin, the Fallen Angel rubbed his fingers across his face and saw his blood that lingered on his fingertips.
Was he angry, yes, a lowly human has marked him. But was he also excited, that he was. "When I came here I thought that the only one in this town worth my time would be the Red Dragon Emperor. That is until Sirzechs finally shows up. But then you come stumbling in." Kokabiel called out to the human down on ground level.
"And...Your point?!" The clone asked from down below.
"You came all this way to find me, and you've done well surviving." Kokabiel furthered extended his wings to reach a greater wingspan. "Then it is only fair I make your death something to be remembered by. I may not know your name, but I will know your end." Kokabiel will take this human more seriously.
Many magical circles formed around the sky behind him, leading to the creation of many more Holy Spears. These were bigger than last time, nearly as big as Kokabiel, but they also had a purple ring in the centre.
"Well, seems he's trying harder this time." Bout time Kokabiel got real.
"Would you hurry this up?"
Barrages of Holy Spears rained down on the clone, so many they blocked the sky in blinding light. The clone moved fast and ran. As the spears hit the ground, creating large explosions, the clone dodged, jumped and weaved his way through the continuous assault.
Kokabiel relished this chance to display his power at the human, watching him run for his life was a perfect pass time. The Fallen Angel then created an even bigger Holy Spear, larger than any of the one's he's used before, and he intended to snipe the human with it.
His aim was steady, and he threw it with great precision, he'll get the human this time.
Seeing the attack coming, the clone waiting for the right moment, and before the spear reached him, the clone jumped over it. He avoided the attack, and the blast behind him; the force from the explosion pushed him further into the air, souring right towards the Fallen Angel.
Not wanting him to get close again, Kokabiel flapped his wings and flew higher into the sky. "You humans are tethered to the ground. It is in your very existence that you are forever below us."
The clone really wanted to shut this guy up. He weaved the hand sign and created a Shadow Clone in mid-air. But he only had one purpose, to be used as a springboard. Pushing off the new clone's back, the original clone reached an even higher height. "We can't fly, but we can jump!" The crow can't escape this time.
He was too close for Kokabiel to avoid; now he has to fight him in mid-air and throw him back down to earth. Creating another Holy Spear for defence, he swung to bisect the human. But just as the human passed him, the clone blocked his strike with his Chakra Blade; the sound of metal clashing was heard in the night sky.
Pivoting his body, the clone was able to fly right over Kokabiel and reach his back; Naruto's clone was right behind the Fallen Angel. Sticking to his back with Chakra, the clone intends to bring this fight back down to his turf. Pouring even more Chakra into his Chakra Blades, the colour blue got darker and darker, and he took a swing.
It hit.
Kokabiel screamed out in pain when he felt something slice through the base of his wings. All ten of them were separated from his body, and his feathers scattered into the night sky. There were too many feathers to count. Kokabiel felt a chill go down his spine when he heard a cocky whisper in his ear.
"Happy landings." The clone taunted the flightless crow and kicked him down to the ground.
Kokabiel fell helplessly down to earth, waving his arms around before smacking into the dirt. Into one of the many holes his spears created. Naruto's clone had no such trouble and landed on the ground without a care.
The fight's now back on solid ground.
Kokabiel pulled himself out of that crater, covered in buries, and he was panting. What is going on? "It has to be a Sacred Gear...he's not using any magic, how is he doing this?" That blue aura, that copy, Kokabiel has no idea what he's dealing with.
No, he's still just a human, while Kokabiel is a Fallen Angel. He's killed an untold number of them and has outlived countless generations of them. It's impossible for him to lose here.
"I did say you should've surrendered." The clone called out, but he had no intention of offering that chance to the crow again.
Whatever excitement Kokabiel once had was now replaced with pure rage, anger, and crazed fury. Getting cut, punch, and kicked by this human is humiliating enough...but to lose his wings to him...A Fallen Angel's wings is a symbol of their strength, longevity their very being. The more you have, the better you are; the more significant standing you possess. To gain new wings is one of the greatest feelings a Fallen Angel can ever get...to have even a single one ripped from your flesh is a great insult...to have all of them taken filled Kokabiel with malevolent intent that was beyond compare; his entire soul seethed and demanded vengeful retribution.
Blinded by his rage with no sense of reason, Kokabiel kept creating and throwing spear after spear at the human. Another and another and another and another, he never relented. He will not stop until one of them is dead.
Ducking, sidestepping, and more, Naruto's clone dodged each and every one of them as he closed in on the fuming crow. The clone rolled forward to avoid the last spear, but Kokabiel quickly created another one and brought it down on the crouching clone.
The spear hit its target, slicing the human in half. Kokabiel was ecstatic. Finally, this mongrel is dead.
But...where's the blood?
The human puffed into smoke, Kokabiel was flabbergasted by this. When the smoke disappeared, he found that his spear didn't slice through the human...but a log?
"What the fuck is this!" A log? Wha...whe...he...
"Look at you, you're falling apart." Kokabiel heard the human's voice behind him, and felt a steel grip around the back of his neck. "You want to start a war...you can't even win one fight. You don't have what it takes for the long haul." The clone thought of Kokabile as nothing more than an arrogant fool who kills beacuse it's fun. His long years of life has only further worsened this mind set. "You probably only lived this long beacuse you only fight those weaker than you." Let's see how he fairs when he's the weak one.
It doesn't make any sense, this wasn't how it was supposed to go, where did he make a mistake. He knew all those of significance that lived in this town...how...how did this human escape Kokabiel's notice. Not standing for this human's continued insolence, Kokabiel attempted to swing his arm around back to kill him once and for all.
He will not fall by a human's hands.
Naruto's clone ducked under it and grabbed the arm, and threw the crow around him; they were now face to face again.
"This is how you win a fight!" The clone readied his fist.
With a mighty punch, the clone uppercutted the Fallen Angel, and the crow lost a few teeth from that punch. He was sent flying into the air, only to land in the lake, sinking under the water.
"That was satisfying."
"Are you going to let him drown?"
"No, I'm not." They need him alive. "Let's go fishing."
"With what?" Kurama grinned.
"This." The clone weaved several signs that looking nothing more than a blur. "Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet!" The clone could use his own Chakra for the water, but he's got a perfectly good lake to use instead. The water in the lake tossed and turned, and started to produce waves. Until the water was all pushed into the centre of the lake. Then nearly all the lake's water shot out into the air, and soon took the shape of a dragon with glowing yellow eyes. Kokabiel was within the dragon's mouth, desperate for air.
Towering above the Shinobi, the dragon then swooped down, heading straight towards the clone; before the Jutsu was dispelled, the water dragon spat out Kokabiel, who continued on his current path.
With its job done, the water dragon evaporated from sight.
Naruto's clone had the same mindset as the original, and he too wanted to test it out; Kokabiel will do. The clone took a stance and readies his fist. Concentrating on his base of life, the clone called on his Touki, and a white aura formed around his hand, slightly brighter than before. "It may be underpowered and not ready for proper use yet. But the crow's good enough for a test drive." The bird's done anyway.
Kokabiel neared the clone, the clone stuck out his fist. But before it hit, Naruto's clone had one thing left to say to the falling crow. "Think humanity's insignificant, that we're only good for serving those 'above us'! Remember this face; remember who it was that put you in the ground!" It wasn't a Devil, Angel, Youkai, Dragon, a God or another Fallen Angel. It was a human.
It was a Shinobi.
The clone's Touki powered fist smashed right into Kokabiel's chest, to the Fallen Angel it felt like a dragon's fist pierced through him. The clone carried his fist and the crow hanging off of it and slammed them both down to the ground. The forest shook from the force of the attack, as a new hole was created; stone rumble and pillars shot out from around the impact, while strong winds pushed the grass and trees back. The tree's lost their leaves and were nearly uprooting. A few cracks travelled across the ground from the strength of the clone's fist.
The earth-shaking subsided, and the clone rose above the Fallen Angel, who laid below him, defeated; his ruined clothes coverd in his own blood and missing some teeth.
"Then again, you may have difficulty remembering this night." The clone looked down at Kokabiel who remained motionless.
It's over.
"He didn't amount to much. All talk and no bite, what a waste of time." Not saying that Kurama didn't enjoy watching the crow get his ass kicked, but again, he didn't get to do anything.
The clone ignored him, and instead focused on the Touki around his fist.
The power of Touki...he liked it.
"Oh yeah, I'm mastering this power." He won't stop until his Touki is just like Sun's, and then he won't stop until his Touki surpasses Sun's.
"It has potential. If you didn't pull your strength back, that punch would have killed him."
"We need him alive."
"For questioning."
"It just doesn't make sense. Why does Kokabiel want to start a war...I mean the Fallen Angels lost most of their population. The Angels have the Biblical God, and the Devils have the likes of Sirzechs and their other three head honchos." If they're as strong as they say then Kokabiel stood no chance...what hope did he have of winning?
It was suicide.
"A fair assessment, there might be more to his plan." Or Kokabiel's that far gone
Naruto's clone agreed, something's off, he must have had another play. The clone picked up the mess that is Kokabiel and hoisted him over his shoulder. The defeated crow hanged off of the clone.
Time to hoof it back to the others, the original should have returned by now.
But the clone heard a loud sound, behind him he could see a bright pillar of light shooting out to the sky, past the clouds.
"What the hell is that?"
Holy Power?
.
A few minutes earlier:
.
Naruto and his friends were waiting it out in the forest, waiting for the clone to return with a captured Kokabiel. Konohamaru and two of Naruto's clones stuck close to Valper, making sure he doesn't try anything stupid. Kuroka was lazing about on a tree branch; her mind was still on other things. Naruto has yet to remove the seal on her, but it doesn't seem to be bothering her. Hinata was next to Irina tending to her wounds. She knew medical Ninjutsu, she was skilled at it with her Byakugan and Chakra control, but she was no Sakura or Tsunade. Irina's injuries were superficial, not life-threatening, but even as her wounds healed, it's unlikely she'll be waking up anytime soon.
Naruto, Xenovia and Raphtalia were off to one side discussing tonight's events. They all had a lot of questions, and Xenovia was starting it off. "Raphtalia how long have you had the Excalibur Blessing?"
"Since tonight. I had no idea my cross contained that sword." It caught them all by surprise.
"If you didn't know then who gave it to you? Raphtalia if the Youkai stole Excalibur Blessing, then this is a serious offence." Kokabiel's theft of three of the Excalibur Fragments wouldn't make it any better for them even if it was a separate incident.
Raphtalia shook her head at Xenovia's near-accusation. "No one gave it to me...my mother had it and I...well I guess I inherited the cross."
"Your mother...I see...did she come into possession of Excalibur Blessing, was she the one who stole it?"
Raphtalia's eyes looked away. "I don't know...my mother's dead. Any knowledge about how she got it died with her."
"I'm sorry for your loss...can I just ask are you sure you don't know anything about it?" Xenovia will ease up her questions if she just gets a solid answer.
"No...No I don't know. We've been trying to figure out what this cross meant and had made no progress until tonight. I'm sorry, I can't help you." Raphtalia's as much in the dark as Xenovia.
Xenovia wanted to know more, but she kept her word and stopped the questioning. It's clear to her that none of them know what's going on around here.
A recurring theme.
"Hey Xenovia, do you know what this is." Naruto took out the glass capsule that Valper tired to give to Freed.
Xenovia looked at it, but she shook her head. She had no idea.
"They're Phoenix Tears nya." Kuroka lazily said from her perch.
"The same thing that Riser's Peerage used in that Rating Game?" Naruto asked.
"Yep."
"Cool." Finders keepers then, but its best Naruto gives them to Tsunade to take a look at.
"If that's true then how can Valper have them?" Xenovia asked.
"You didn't know. They sell for a high price on the black market nya. There are all kinds of goodies you can get there if you've got the cash." Kuroka turned away from the group, no longer interested in talking.
That was interesting to know. "A black market, huh...I wonder if there is anything useful we can get our hands on?"
"You could get lucky and find some information on the whereabouts of the Old Satan Faction."
"That would be handy...but we would need Yasaka's money to do that." It would need to be discussed with her.
Naruto kept up his conversation with Kurama, but Xenovia still had questions for him, like what was that power of his. Or more specifically, those two giant spheres he used to kill the two Cerberuses.
But his mind is elsewhere.
"Kurama how's the fight going?"
"Your clone just took his wings so I'd say it's wrapping up. Are you sure you don't want to head over?"
"I've got some things to ask Valper." His clone could handle Kokabiel no problem.
While Naruto was in his own head, Raphtalia approached the Fused Excalibur that was stuck in the ground. Before she picked it up, Xenovia came to her side.
"Raphtalia?" she wanted to know what Raphtalia was doing.
"I need to borrow this for a second."
"What is your intention?"
"Valper said my cross still had a purpose, I need to find out what it is." Raphtalia didn't wait for a reply and grasped the hilt of the Fused Excalibur, picking it up and holding it firmly. She then drew her Excalibur Blessing and placed its blade's edge onto the Fused Excalibur. Just like before the cross siphoned Holy Power from the sword, using the Excalibur Blessing as a conduit. The Holy Power around the cross grew brighter and brighter until it started to shake uncontrollably around her neck; and started defying the law of gravity.
Xenovia tried to get near her, but the mass amount of Holy Power pushed her back. It was like Raphtalia was shielded in a golden dome.
It caught the attention of everyone present. Naruto was about to force his way through the barrier. "No please stay there, Naruto-Sama!" But Raphtalia stopped him.
"Are you sure?! Are you sure you're going to be okay?!"
Raphtalia was having difficulty holding onto the Excaliburs; they radiated so much Holy Power that they were starting to shake uncontrollably. "Yes! Please let me do this!" Still, the Youkai persisted.
Naruto was worried for her safety but decided to listen to her and not break through the barrier. "Fine! But if something goes wrong..."
"It won't!" She's close, just a little more...
This cross...what are you?!
Suddenly and without warning, the cross broke the chain around her neck. The metal burned away in the sea of Holy Power that surrounded the raccoon. The cross, with a will of its own, floated away from Raphtalia. Only to then be suspended in mid-air.
Those watching this display held their breath, wondering what's about to happen.
They didn't have to hold long.
Golden chains made of pure Holy Power shot out from the central jewel of the cross. The chains crossed the distance and wrapped around both Excaliburs, and soon those swords too turned pure golden with Holy Power.
Only Valper understood what was happening. "Amazing..."
One of the clones heard him. "What's happening?"
Even if they were his enemy and he was their captive, Valper couldn't contain himself. "A true fusing spell, created since ancient times!" His was an imitation, this was the real thing.
Hearing his explanation, Raphtalia, with some reluctance, released her grip on the blades, and the chains carried them off. Both the swords turned into Pure Holy Power and were absorbed into the cross. It was at that moment that the cross grew brighter and shook even more than before, becoming even harder to look at. The ground below started to crack from the pressure of the Holy Power contained within it.
Until a pillar of light shot out to the sky, reaching the clouds and blasting them away. Strong winds kicked up and pushed some people back.
After what left like a life time of watching this awe inspiring display, the pillar of light slowly shrank down to ground, carrying something with it. Once the light returned back to Raphtalia, it brightness lessened, and Raphtalia could make out an object within it. It looked like another sword.
Not as concerned as she was last time, Raphtalia reached into the light and grabbed hold of the sword. The moment her hand touched it, the light completely disappeared, and a new Sword was in her hands.
It was a western-style sword that was coloured golden and dark blue. The blade was a light golden while its guard was a deeper golden with blue coloured markings, and the guard tilted upwards slightly. The handled was a dark blue, and the pommel was a blue jewel. Raphtalia inspected the blade and could see her cross embedded into the sword, just above the guard.
She could feel it, the power of six Excaliburs were in this blade. It was a new Fused Excalibur, one that's a near-True Excalibur. All that's missing is Excalibur Control.
"Amazing, to see it with my own eyes." Valper was beyond words. This Fused Excalibur looked closer to the True Excalibur than his one did. "But how can this be. I spent years researching the necessary spell...Then how, how can a Youkai do this to an even higher degree than I..."
Naruto ignored his whining; all he cared about was his friend. "Raphtalia...you okay? How are you feeling?"
Raphtalia was panting a little, not so much from tiredness, but from just experiencing all of this. "Yeah...I'm fine...this is just...amazing." She could feel even more Holy Power within her, and her sword now has the power of six Excalibur Fragments.
Naruto approached her with Xenovia in toe. They both looked stunned. "How did you do that?" They both asked, much to each other's surprise.
"The...the cross did it again. It fused the swords together."
"Then where is the cross, is it gone?" Naruto looked around and couldn't see it.
"No, it's in the blade itself." Raphtalia showed them the side that housed the cross.
"That this means she can still fuse the final fragment should we find it."
"Good to know." Wonder what this sword will turn into when that happens.
"Raphtalia...are you like me? Are you a natural Holy Sword user?" Xenovia asked whose still trying to understand what the hell is happening.
"I...I don't know anymore." The three stood there more confused than ever. Their dumbfoundedness was short-lived as Naruto's clone teleported right next to the original, carrying a particular crow over his shoulder.
"I'm back, boss."
Valper and Xenovia were beyond shocked to see Kokabiel defeated and covered in wounds. The sight of this man being carried around like lugged was mind-boggling to the two.
Xenovia more so. "He really did it..." Naruto made his intentions known that he was going to take down Kokabiel. But Xenovia assumed it was going to be the entire team taking him on. "But he did it on his own...no his clone did it..." Naruto's clones are stronger than a ten Winged Fallen Angel...then how strong is Naruto himself?
Naruto didn't notice Xenovia's surprised expression and just nodded to his clone, and pointed to another tree stump for the crow to be dumped off at. The clone did just that and then dispelled himself, his memories returning to the original.
"Huh...so that's how Fallen Angels fight." Naruto's happy for the experience, and it is useful firsthand information to tell Gaara.
The other two clones came over and kept watch on Kokabiel, while Naruto approached the muttering Valper; who looks utterly devastated by the sight of his master.
"Hey, tons of fun?"
Valper didn't answer, and Naruto tapped him on the forehead. "Hey, would you stop that?" That got his attention.
Valper's eyes fluttered about before settling on Naruto. "W-who are you people?" Valper stuttered in fear.
"We're the one's asking the questions here." This door only swings one way. "Now you seem like an expert on Holy Swords and all that. So do you have any idea why Raphtalia can...do all that?" Basically, how has Raphtalia been doing everything she's been doing with Holy Power?
Friend and foe didn't matter to Valper, as his scientific mind also wanted to know how this was possible even more than Naruto did. But he only started muttering nonsense and a million theories that got weirder and weirder. Seriously, an ultimate life form grown in a lab...like that would ever happen.
Naruto sighed. "Well, he's gone. Konohamaru when you searched him did you find anything that stood out?"
Naruto's student reached into his pocket. "Just this blue crystal looking thing." Naruto held out his hand, and Konohamaru gave it to him.
He gave it a look over. "I have no idea what this is." Naruto was stumped.
"What else is new."
"You're a really help you dumb fox."
"Brat can't you feel it. This contains Holy Power, as well as something else."
Naruto guided his Chakra to it, trying to connect with it to see what Kurama is sensing.
He felt it...
It felt like...souls...several in fact...
.
Naruto blinked, and where he was once in the forest, he was now in a familiar place within his mind. He's been here many times throughout his life. When he spoke with his father for the first time, meeting his mother, trying to convince Sasuke, and knocking some sense into Obito. The space around him was a light blue, with bright lights akin to stars that littered the space. This was Naruto's mindscape, a place he goes to when he connects his Chakra with another person. You can have an entire conversation in here, when only a moment has passed in the real world.
Why is he here now?
Looking ahead of him, Naruto saw nine individuals. They had a similar outfit to what Valper wore, and Naruto could feel Holy Power from them. But that isn't what stood out the most.
These nine were transparent, Naruto could see right through them. They were all looking down, utterly unresponsive to anyone and anything around them.
Are these the souls that were within that crystal thing...must be.
Naruto approached the nine lost souls, but no matter how close he got, the souls didn't react in the slightest...it was kinda creepy.
"Hello?" Naruto tried to get their attention, but there was no answer.
"I don't mean you any harm. If there is some way I can help you, then please talk to me." Again the Shinobi tried to engage with them. But their eyes continued to linger on the ground.
Until one of them looked up gingerly and made eye contact with Naruto. She was a girl with short brown hair; she was the smallest among them. The girl took a few steps before stopping a couple of feet from Naruto.
Naruto crouched down to get on her level. "Hello, it's nice to meet you. My name's Naruto, what's yours."
The girl didn't speak and only shook her head.
"You don't remember, or you don't want to say?"
She shook again; Naruto's getting the same answer from her. So he went with some different questions.
"Were you the ones in the crystal?"
This time she nodded. Okay, we're making some progress. Naruto, seeing the outfit made an observation. "I take it you were once a member of the church."
Again she nodded, but this time with slight hesitation, like it was difficult for her to answer. Naruto understood well enough. They were members of the church, but it's not a fond memory.
"I know this isn't easy to answer, but how did you end up in that crystal?" If they're souls, then they must have been sealed.
This time she didn't nod or shake her head, and she didn't speak either. She would not answer the question. Is it because she can't or she won't? Naruto didn't know.
The girl looked to her left, and Naruto followed her line of sight.
"Kiba?" An image of Kiba appeared loosely within his mindscape. Kiba really wasn't here; this is just a memory of him.
"Isaiah."
Naruto shot back to the girl when she finally spoke. "So she can talk."
The girl then pointed at the image of Kiba. "Isaiah."
"Is that his real name?"
She nodded.
"Huh, so Rias has a habit of giving people new names." Go figure. Well, Naruto sometimes gives people nicknames.
Now Naruto was starting to wonder how these kids knew Kiba, knew his real name. They're from the church, and they're all young. If they knew his birth name, then they must have met when they were kids. But the only thing Naruto knew about Kiba's past was...hold on...
"Does the name 'Holy Sword Project' mean anything to you?"
The little girl looked down slightly, clutching her church robes. Yes, she knew that project well.
Naruto knew what this meant. "You're his friends, aren't you?"
She brought her head back up and nodded, a deep sadness lingered behind her eyes.
"They're the reason Kiba is alive today." These kids are the ones who sacrificed themselves so he could live. "You did an amazing thing for him back then. You all gave up everything so he could live, so he could have a future. I'll say that you're the best friends anyone could ask for." Right to the end, they had his back.
For the first time since they started talking, the girl finally ended her blank expression and grew a smile. New light shined in her eyes when it came to hearing about her friend.
Naruto smiled back at her. "He did escape, Isaiah found some new friends." But then Naruto lost his smile with this next bit of news. "But he's still hurting inside. He wasn't able to let go what happen to you all." How could anyone let it go after going through all that? "He is in pain because he loved you so much, probably believing that each of you deserved to live more than he did. It's not that he forsakes what you all did for him...he just doesn't know what he's supposed to do with the life you saved. What path he's supposed to walk, what future he needs reach. The only thing he remembers is what happened to you, and that has pushed him to a mission of revenge."
The girl looked sadden by this news, no doubt hoping her friend was at a better place in his life.
Naruto reached out to her and rubbed the top of her head, getting her attention. She looked surprised by his gesture.
"He could really do with some help from those closes to him."
The girl's eyes watered a little, and she moved closer to Naruto, her transparent arms wrapped around him in a desperate hug.
"Isaiah...please..."
"I know." Naruto returned the hug, giving her peace of mind. "I promise I'll get you all to him."
The world around them faded away.
.
Naruto blinked again and found himself back in the forest, the crystal still in the palm of his hand. He took some deep breaths from what he just experienced...and what he now needs to do.
"Naruto?" Xenovia tapped his shoulder. "Are you alright, you looked like you spaced out for a second there?" She saw Naruto freeze for a moment, almost like he turned to stone. It was a bit bizarre.
Naruto didn't answer her; instead, he stomped over to Valper, with his blood running hot. He violently grabbed Valper by his collar, shoving him against the tree. Naruto then held the crystal for the fat man to clearly see.
"What is this?" Naruto demanded an answer as he gave Valper a fierce stare.
Valper didn't or couldn't answer. He was too shocked and terrified by Naruto's actions.
"Valper...I am royally pissed right now, and I'm doing my damndest to keep myself in check and not beat the ever-loving shit out of you. So tell me, what the hell is this?" Naruto's grip around Valper tightened, his patience was wearing thin.
"I know that crystal...it's a blessing used in rituals to give followers of the church the ability to use Holy Swords." Xenovia answered the question in Valper's stead. "It is how non-natural born Holy Sword users gain the ability to wield them. Its how Irina became a Holy Sword user, a crystal just like that one was placed in her body."
"Then why does this one have souls sealed inside it?"
Xenovia's eyes widened when she heard that, she had no idea.
Naruto turned back to Valper. "Those you killed during the Holy Sword project are in this thing. Want to tell me how that works?"
This time Naruto got him to talk, out of fear or that he wanted to gloat about it was up for debate. "Do you know why none of the orphans I used in the Holy Sword Project were ever able to use Excalibur?"
Naruto narrowed his eyes. "Enlighten me?"
Valper grew a disgusting smile. "Because the Holy Gene within those brats was too weak to amount to anything...at least individually. It was a stroke of genius on my part; I just extracted the Holy Genes out of all of them." Which lead to their deaths. "Once I finished crystallising those genes, I created that little trinket you're holding. It's the last one made from those bastard orphans!"
Xenovia didn't understand. "But those crystals...I've seen them used. Why..."
"Because the church confiscated and took over my research, those shameless hypocrites. To excommunicate me then continue where I left off. Then again we are talking about Michael, who's the biggest pacifist you'll ever have the disdain of meeting. He probably asked for volunteers and only took enough to make those crystals and not kill them." It was pathetic in Valper's eyes.
Naruto let go of his collar and grabbed him by the head, nearly slamming him against the tree. "Thank you for the information now you be quiet."
"The church should be thanking me. I'm the reason why the Excaliburs can be wielded again!"
"Who gave you the right to play God with their lives?!" Xenovia shouted in anger.
"Hahahahaha...well...there is a vacancy..."
"Kokabiel!" Naruto vanished from sight and instantly appeared in front of the broken Fallen Angel. His clones were also at the ready for any of his tricks. But that didn't seem necessary, not with Kokabiel's condition.
He was laying against the tree, arms and legs too weak to move, and his power was shot. Not to mention his lack of wings.
"Guess my clone really did pull back his punch for you to be awake already." Naruto will make sure he stays asleep.
But Xenovia interrupted it. "What are you talking about Fallen Angel?"
"Did I touch a nerve church girl?" He's too weak to move, but Kokabiel could still run his mouth; though one could see his missing teeth.
Valper called out for help. "Kokabiel hurry up and get us out of here!" He continued to beg his fallen master.
"Konohamaru." Naruto gave him permission.
Konohamaru delivered a good punch to Valper's head, knocking him out.
With Valper now quite, Xenovia readied her Durandal. "Answer me, Kokabiel! What did you mean by 'vacancy'?" She then raised her sword, threatening to kill him if he doesn't answer.
But Naruto grabbed her by the hands and held her back. "Wait Xenovia, we need him alive." Naruto still has questions and was able to hold back Xenovia.
"You're a real lover of God, a boot licker; your grandmaster watching over you." Kokabiel laughed but coughed a little blood due to his wounds. "Or is it Michael looking down on you now...Tell me which feet would be tastier to lick?"
Xenovia lost her breath, her arms started losing strength. Her mind was racing a mile a minute, wondering what Kokabiel meant by that. "What...what did you just say...what are you saying, Kokabiel?!"
Kokabiel was all too willing to answer. "I wonder how you would react if I told you that during the last Great War, not only did the old Devil Kings die, but God also met his demise!" The crow's grin reached ear to ear, his sharp, bloody teeth on full display. He enjoyed telling them this dreaded secret.
Silence, shock, fear, these emotions bounced from person to person. What did they just hear...?
Xenovia could not believe the words that left Kokabiel's mouth. "I-Wha...no it can't be...God's dead." The mere thought was breaking her down. She could barely hold on to her Durandal.
Her emotions mirrored Raphtalia and Kuroka, while not as drastic; to learn that the Biblical God is dead was a frightening thing.
The Shinobi were also shocked by this. To hear such an integral figure of this world is gone.
"Oops, did my tongue slip." This was a secret Kokabiel wanted known to the world, and he enjoyed the sight of Naruto and his friends learning this secret.
"Lies...Lies it has to be a lie." Xenovia fell back, dropping her sword, no longer having the strength to stand on her own, forcing Naruto to hold her up.
"Kurama...is he?" Naruto needed to know.
"No, he's not lying." Even Kurama was taking this seriously. The effects this secret carried would be immense.
"The docks...what that Vali guy said...he knew...Azazel knew." Vali's statement about 'A world without God' had no meaning to Naruto, as so many people call themselves Gods in this world. But now..."He meant the God of the Three Factions, the reason why the Devils, Angels and Fallen Angels even exist." Their God is dead.
Naruto placed Xenovia down. She fell to her knees, her hands gripping them tight. With Irina still out, the only follower of the Biblical God was her, and it was affecting her to a deadly degree. "But how...our prayers are still be answered."
"With his absence, Michael had to take over the system. It still works...to a vastly inferior degree." Michael was no Biblical God.
Naruto got in Kokabiel's face. "Who killed him and how many people know about this." The Biblical God is the bronze medal of this world; there were only two others stronger than him. But Yasaka said the Dragon Gods stayed out of the Great War. So who's out there that's strong enough to pull this off.
"No one knows or saw how he died." Though Kokabiel wished he could have seen it.
"Then how could you know he's gone?"
"I was created by him, just like all the other Angels and Fallen Angels. I may have fallen from grace, but I still have that connecting to him. I felt it...the strongest of us felt him leave this world." Kokabiel delighted that feeling.
"All the Angels and Devils know about this?" Not much of a secret.
"Of course not you fool. Only the Seraphs and those of the Grigori know. The Devils fell even further than my kind, and lost even that connection to him." Only the leaders of the Angels and Fallen Angels knew this secret. The Devils were entirely in the dark.
Naruto gritted his teeth. "For someone who's lost his father, you seem pretty happy about it?" For someone who wished his parents didn't die, this pissed Naruto off.
"Don't you understand anything human?! It was our chance, our moment. The Devils lost their leaders, the Angels lost their God. It was our time to rise. If we kept going, we would have won the war and killed every single one of those disgusting Devils and pathetic Angels." It was glories, victory was on the horizon. "But that cowered Azazel called it off when we were so close to winning." Kokabiel could not accept this. "WHAT THE FUCK!"
Too fast for him to react, Naruto's fist passed Kokabiel and hit the tree behind him, punching a hole clean through it. "THAT'S YOUR REASON FOR ALL THIS! UNFINISHED BUSINESS!?" This stupid fucking..."You would subject this world to another war, one that would finish us all off, for that!"
"I will, and I do it with pride. This war will be the greatest ever know. And by my own hand, I will see it come to fruition." Kokabiel called on any strength he had left in his broken body, in a desperate attempt to raise to his feet. "The war I dreamed for, for so long will become a reality!"
Kokabiel's warmongering speech ended when Naruto thrusted his fist deep into the Fallen Angel's stomach. This time Naruto won't pull back his punch; this crow's going sleep for a while. "You listen, and you listen well. I don't care who it is, Devil, Angel, Fallen Angel, Gods or self-proclaimed God wannabes. No matter which one of you wants to start a war, I will never let that happen." Naruto looked deep into Kokabiel's crimson eyes, which wouldn't stay open much longer. The crow's mouth gapped open and drooled blood, and Naruto's fist pushed deeper into his stomach, making the crow feel even greater pain. "Your delusions of a war will never happen. That I promise. So do us all a favour and SHUT UP ALREADY!" Naruto quickly ripped his fist out of the crow's stomach. The force did its job, and Kokabiel fell forward to the ground, his voice finally silenced.
"That should keep him out for a while." Naruto won't deny it felt good shutting this bastard up. But if Kokabiel's right about the Biblical God dying in the war...oh boy...
"D-did you kill him?" Asked Xenovia. She was still on her knees.
Naruto stood up. "No, I need him alive," Naruto spoke with concern. What they've just learned..."I need to tell Yasaka, Gaara...I need to know how much of the balance of power has...and would be affected by this."
Everyone there gathered around. Naruto helped Xenovia stand up, but she was still greatly affected by this news.
"What do we do, Naruto-Kun?" Hinata asked. She was just as worried as the others.
"Hinata..." Naruto then looked at everyone else. "...guys...for now we need to keep this to our selves. Until we get our heads on straight." Naruto then took out a sealing scroll and moved to seal up their knocked out captives. Naruto weaved the signs, and Valper disappeared in a puff of smoke, and he was sealed away. "We can't let the Devils know about this secret." They need to get home, get some peace of mind, and get the facts straight. To Naruto, this could very well be another secret that can't be known, just like with Itachi.
Naruto laid out the scroll in front of the drooling mess that is Kokabiel, and he started weaving the signs for the sealing Jutsu.
"Naruto someone is coming, he's coming in fast from the sky." Kurama sensed a presence incoming.
"Oh come on not now. Who is it this time?" Naruto is still performing the Jutsu. He needs to get it right, or he might end up killing Kokabiel.
"It's that brat we saw back at the docks. The one called Vali." The Devil, human hybrid with a Sacred Gear, Kurama remembered him well; no one else felt like him.
"He's coming to get Kokabiel."
"Are you going to hand him over?"
"No, I'm not...we need to know if there are any more world-changing secrets in this fucker's head."
Naruto wasn't the only one who noticed. Hinata saw him coming, and Kuroka could smell him. Naruto stood up and left it to one of his clones to finish the sealing Jutsu.
He didn't have to wait long until Vali showed up. Hovering in the night sky, with the moon at his back, they could all see a silhouette. Taking a closer look, Naruto could make him out. But unlike at the docks, Vali came suited up.
"So that's his Sacred Gear?"
"Its power is much stronger than it was before. This must be what a so-called 'Balance Breaker' is."
Vali was covered head to toe in white armour, some of the armour pieces looked to have a reptilian style motif. The armour was decorated with blue jewels, and he had two massive wings that were of the same colour. Naruto could also see a tail hanging off his back. The armour looked strange; it was like a perfect fit. Now Naruto was no expert on armour, but he couldn't see how Vali was able to put that on. If it really is a Sacred Gear, then it must have been summoned around him.
"Now this is a surprise. I came to deal with Kokabiel, only to find him already dealt with." Oh yeah, that's Vali, same voice as before. "Which one of you accomplished this?" Vali descended closer to the ground but did not touch it.
Behind his armour, Vali's eyes jumped from person to person trying to figure out who did it. The girls with the swords were first. Obviously not the twintails one...and the blue-haired one looked defeated, she possessed the eyes of one who has lost something dear.
The Youkai was interesting; Vali could feel strong Holy Power within her, which is surprising, to say the least. But that sword...it feels like an Excalibur. "The fragments joined?" This is something Azazel would want to hear about.
Vali saw another Youkai as well, he recognised her. The stray Devil Kuroka...if his memory served, she should be at Urakyoto.
No Vali didn't believe any of them did it, which left only these three humans...but Vali felt no power from them...odd. But he could tell from a distance that the first one to notice him was the blond. He had whisker marks on his cheeks...and there were two copies of him.
So he does have some kind of power.
Wanting to get answers, this armoured individual pointed at Naruto. "Was it your doing?"
Naruto looked to his left and right, playing dumb. "Who me? I don't know...could have been anyone." Naruto needed to by time for his clone to seal up Kokabiel. Since Naruto left it, the clone has to start again from the beginning.
Vali crossed his arms. "Then I'll take that as a yes."
"What makes you so sure it was me?"
"You have a point...perhaps I should check." Vali extended his wings further, and Naruto could feel his power rising.
"He's stronger than Kokabiel...but he's weaker than Rizevim." Even so, with his friends here, and not all of them in good shape, Naruto won't go easy on this guy. "Is there really a need to fight?"
"There is no reason for me not to. But if you will not fight me, then I'll be taking Kokabiel off your hands."
"That would make things difficult for me, so I'm going to have to ask for a rain check on that."
"I wasn't asking."
"No, but you're gonna take my offer."
Vali chucked under his helmet, it sounded smug. "If you truly did defeat Kokabiel then you shouldn't let it go to your head human. I am in a completely different league to both him and you."
"All I need is a few days with him, and then I might give him back to your boss."
Vali shook his head "I don't think you'd know him." This human's got quite the mouth on him.
Naruto smirked and raised an eyebrow. "Hey, it's not my fault you don't give 'little old him' enough of your free time."
Vali blinked when he heard that phrase 'little old him' and it didn't take long for him to put it together. A smirk grew under that helmet. "Now there's a plot twist...you were there...and you do know him. You're more than you let on." Vali touched the ground, suddenly becoming more invested with this human. "Maybe you can give me what I want." Vali looked ready to fight.
Naruto wasn't interested. "Look...you don't want to do this."
"For someone who talks with such confidence, I'd hope braver actions from you."
"No you see I've had a long day, and I'm not in the mood for games. And as for you...It wouldn't look good for you if I drag your unconscious body to your boss's front doorstep."
Vali didn't answer, but Naruto got the feeling that his words only enticed Vali even more.
"Fine, if this is how it's going to be." Might as well remodel this forest even more, but this would be a good time for Kurama to point out Naruto could just try and teleport him and his team out of this town and back to Urakyoto...they've got what they wanted right...
No...We're not doing that?
Naruto then felt the surge of Chakra behind him. Both he and everyone else noticed Kokabiel disappearing from sight in a puff of smoke, and the scroll wheeled itself back up. "Good, he's been sealed." This makes it easier to keep Kokabiel from getting taken.
The clone past the scroll to Naruto, who caught it and hid it on his person. "You want him, come get him." Naruto stood ready for whatever Vali's move is. His team moved to back him up should he need it. But Kuroka stayed back on her perch. Her powers are still sealed, so it's not like she can be of any help here. Besides, if this Sacred Gear is what she thinks it is then Kuroka would like to see this fight. A chance to see more of what Naruto is capable of.
There was a moment of deathly silence between the two. Both Naruto and Vali eyeing the other one up, trying to figure out what the other was and is capable of. Vali could not sense this human's power, but his instincts, and his 'partner', told him otherwise. Naruto could feel how much Demonic Power this guy had, but he didn't know what Sacred Gear Vali had and what it could do. Naruto needs to do a better job remembering what he reads. In this fight, he'll play it safe until he knows what Vali can do.
Both were ready and took one step forward, pressing down, both prepared to start...
But both stopped mid step...they felt new presences coming this way.
Naruto looked to the distance, where the town should be...Devils?
"That feels like Rias."
"Oh great, why don't all those assholes start showing up!" He's in a forest, not at the centre of town, why is everyone coming here!?
"Akeno's with her."
"I was fucking kidding!"
"Hmmm...It seems they're being accompanied by three others."
Naruto didn't care about that, who the hell was this other guy. "Two of them feel around on par with Rias and Akeno...but who's the third one...this amount of Demonic Power is..." Since Naruto has come here, he's had to get used to feeling these different kinds of energies and remembering them. He learned how his friends Kiba and Akamaru feel when they have to remember different scents. But one thing Naruto quickly learned is that even if the energies are different, they all have the same rule. The person can only have so much, and the people of this world leave it out for everyone to see.
And out of all the people Naruto has seen from this world, none of them come close to this one, even Sun Wukong couldn't compare.
Forget about Vali, it's this guy Naruto needs to focus on.
"He actually came after all," Vali spoke, with a sense of familiarity.
"He knows who this guy is?" Should Naruto ask him?
"As much as I would love the chance to fight him, I'm sure Azazel would be annoyed if I made his job difficult for him." Vali extended his wings and slowly rose above the ground.
"Wait, you're leaving?" So even a guy like Vali who loves fighting won't stick around for this.
"If you survive then I look forward to our next meeting. Let's settle this then." He gave his send off and took to the skies, flying away at incredible speeds, leaving a blue trail in the sky behind him.
Some of Naruto's friends couldn't even follow it.
Naruto was frustrated...
This guy interpreted him, picked a fight, and then left him for the Devils, without so much as throwing a punch. "...That's it...seriously!?"
As a 'Perfect Being' once said: 'I feel like I'm not the only one being blue balled right now'.
"How are these guys finding us anyway?"
"Aside from all the noise we've been making...that pillar of light from the Excaliburs would have been a beacon for them."
"I forgot about that." The light reached all the way to the clouds. The better question is who didn't see it. Surprising that the local authorises of this town haven't come here yet.
.
The five Devils reached their location; they flew the entire way, tracking where they once felt that massive surge of Holy Power. Naruto got his team closer together to make it easier for them to escape. A part of Naruto knew he should leave right now...but he really wanted to see who this new Devil was.
The Devils landed a few feet from them, their wings retracting. Naruto recognised four of them. Rias and Akeno were here, and they were flanked by those girls Xenovia and Irina spoke to. Sona and that girl with really long black hair; Naruto never did hear her name.
But the one who took the front, now that was who Naruto focused all of his senses on.
He looked to be around his early twenties, but since Devils live for a long time that didn't mean much. He had the same eyes and hair colour as Rias, crimson blood-red hair. But Rias's was longer, this guy's only reached past his shoulders. He wore smart and formal attire like he was going to a meeting, not coming for a fight.
This new Devil took a step forward and introduced himself. "It's very nice to meet you." He gave Naruto a light wave.
Naruto didn't expect him to be so open...why wear formal clothes if you're going to act so...casual? But the Shinobi rolled with it. "Well, nice to meet you too. It's ummm...a nice night for flying."
"I think so, too. The cool air feels pleasant on my skin."
"Brother...please..." Rias reminded him to stay focused.
The new Devil coughed into his hand. "Now my dear sister has told me about you. I take it your name is Naruto Uzumaki?"
"Sister?" Hold on a second Rias only has one sibling, right? "You'd be right, and you are?"
"You can call me Sirzechs."
That name...
"Sirzechs? As in Sirzechs Lucifer the top Devil?"
The surprised faces from all the Devils were telling. But Sirzechs seemed more chill about it. Or maybe he was enjoying this? "My dear little sister wasn't exaggerating, you do know about the 'Supernatural World'."
"You've got to be kidding me..." That's him, the strongest Devil, and he came here himself. Kami give Naruto a break, this night has been an absolute trainwreck. But this did explain why this Devil's packing so much Demonic Power. "So this is the strongest Devil...this is one of the top ten of this world." It was deeply informative. The Top Ten are no joke; it wasn't a bunch of hot air from people who only thought they were tough shit.
And there's a second Devil that's near or on this guy's level.
Naruto knew right from the start. Against this guy, he would need to be serious about it. "I don't know if Sage Mode's going to be enough here." Not if this Devil goes all out. Naruto still doesn't know just how different Sirzechs's use of the Power of Destruction is when compared to Rias's.
What he saw from Rias during the Rating Game won't be much help here.
"I'm ready to assist you should it come to it." Even Kurama knew this Devil was not to be taken lightly.
Sirzechs then clasped his hands together behind his back. "Naruto, can you tell me where Kokabiel is?"
Naruto tried to play dumb. "Haven't seen him."
Sirzechs then had a bit of a giggle, but it was light-hearted. "There's no reason to act like that. I can still sense him." He then locked eyes onto Naruto. "His Holy Power feels restrained, locked away, and he's on your person."
"Sharp senses too, even when he's sealed he can still find him." This guy's good.
"But how you're restraining him? I've got no clue." Rias wasn't wrong; Sirzechs couldn't feel any power from this human. But the Super Devil had the gut feeling that this guy wasn't weak.
"But he still can't sense Chakra." Ok, point to the Shinobi.
It was at this moment that Rias took centre stage. "You and your friends have had a busy night." She can see some with injuries and others who looked exhausted. "I thought we agreed to keep out of each other's business. So why did you bring Koneko here?" Rias was not happy about that.
Naruto tried to placate her. "It was a accident...things got hectic when..."
"And then their's Raphtalia?"
"Me?" Raphtalia answered.
"You attacked Kiba, hurt my precious servant. He's bedridden because of you."
Raphtalia wasn't going to just take that. "He came at me, and I chose to spare his life even when he was trying to kill me. So get your facts straight before you go accusing me of anything."
"She not wrong to accuses you of your actions." The Devil with the shortest hair then spoke.
"And you are." Naruto already knew, but she doesn't need to know he spied on her.
"Sona Sitri." She nodded her head as a greeting. "And as for my earlier point, Rias isn't wrong to accuse you based on the events of tonight's...incursions."
"Look, what happen with Koneko being here is on us, and I'm sorry about that. But Kiba came here by his own choice, so you're only half right." If that little Neko Devil never touched Naruto's hand, it would have never lead to her being at the church when all this went down.
Sona pushed her glasses up a little. It seemed she accepted the answer, due to no responding.
"May I ask where she is?" Rias asked a new question.
"Who?" Though Naruto had a good guess as to who 'she' is.
Rias narrowed her eyes. "Enough with the word games, where is that stray Devil Kuroka that tried to kidnap my servant?"
Poor choice of words; said stray Devil jumped down from her perch. "I think you mean stray Devil who went to save her little sister nya." Kuroka didn't look happy.
"You lost the right to call Koneko that after abandoning her like you did." Kuroka's actions were unforgivable to Rias.
Even with her powers sealed away, Kuroka was itching to tear Rias apart. The Devil Neko's fingers flexed, her bones making cracking noises. Seeing the impending trouble, Naruto stepped in, coming to Kuroka's side.
Naruto whispered to her. "I know that was a low blow, but you can't start a fight here."
"I'm not an idiot nya. Even without the seal..." Kuroka glanced at Sirzechs carefully. "With him here I wouldn't even get close." She won't attack...as much as she wanted to.
Naruto thanked her for not taking it any further. Even if Rias is the one starting this, Kuroka can't respond with violence. With how much Shirone cares about Rias, it wouldn't look good if Kuroka fights her.
Rias saw how Naruto seemed familiar with Kuroka. "I knew there was a reason why you unnerved me...but to think you're actually in league with that criminal."
Naruto came to his friend's defence. "Kuroka isn't the person you think she is."
"The evidence and her actions speak for themselves. Being corrupted by the power Senjutsu, and murdering her master; leaving to fulfil her own selfish desires. Only to come back and try to kidnap a servant of the House of Gremory." Rias also remembered that Koneko was about to say something regarding Naruto and Senjutsu, but then that pillar of Holy Light happened and they put the questioning on hold.
Kuroka would not stay silent. "Shirone is my sister, not your servant!"
"You left her for your own ends."
"I don't want to hear that from some Devil princess who gets others to fix all her problems for her!"
"How dare you! I'm..."
"I don't see a ring on your finger nya." Kuroka crossed her arms, enlarging her breasts. A Confident smile on her face, hoping she touched a nerve.
Rias's eyes widened, Kuroka did more than touch a nerve. You could see Rias's eyes glow with a faint red aura. Her emotions were beginning to run ramped.
Naruto was so lost. "Why are we talking about rings all of a sudden?" Wasn't this about Shirone?
Kuroka glanced at Naruto with mischievous eyes. "Remember that Rating Game we watched. Where this bitch took on that fried chicken."
Naruto nodded, nearly snickered.
"Because of the time I spent with the Devils, I know about the ins and outs of their society nya. And I know Rias isn't old enough to participate in an official Rating Gaming."
"She can't? then what did we watch?"
Kuroka continued. "That was a personal Rating Game between houses...with stakes involved...and Riser had a big mouth nya." Kuroka titled her head up smugly. "If you lose, you marry that disgusting man." She then brought her finger to her bottom lip. Getting into a cute thinking pose. "Oh wait, you did lose nya. So where's the ring. Why are you still a Gremory and not a Phoenix hmmm?"
Rias's Power of Destruction rose and became visible, swirling around her, her hair flocking in its power.
"So who was it nya, your brother or one of your 'servants' who solved all your problems for you? Ha, you Devils...you talk a big game but when it comes down to it, to use others or what you take from others to make yourselves big, and then act like it's all you or your family name nya." Kuroka stopped being smug, her smile ceased, and she scowled at the Devil heiress. "And someone like you has my sister under her thumb!"
"Silence!" Sirzechs amped his Demonic Power, and a red aura appeared around him, making Kuroka step back. "Stray Devil Kuroka. I will not tolerate the tone you're taking with my dear sister." No more words were said; his mere presence and display shut Kuroka up. The Neko Devil grunted but relented, not wanting to mess with this monster.
Sirzechs turned to Naruto, who seems to be the leader of this group. But the Super Devil noticed his display didn't affect Naruto like it did Kuroka. He continued to look at him defiantly and bravely.
"Naruto Uzumaki...giving tonight's events, I'm going to ask that you hand over Kokabiel and come with me to the Underworld." He may have 'asked', but Naruto knew it was a demand.
"Sorry, Sirzechs but I can't do that. We're leaving, so please, step aside."
Sona tried to be the voice of reason. "Naruto understand the position you're in. Some of your friends are hurt, and the others are tired. This is not the time to act foolish, don't do anything rash." With Sirzechs here, none of them stood any chance of escape.
"I'm not being foolish. But we have our own things to worry about as well. We're not coming with you." They're going home.
"You have Kokabiel who came to Devil territory." He then looked at Raphtalia, and the sword she's holding. "And I remember well what the fragments of Excalibur feel like." He then turned back to Naruto. "You and what you have are not things we can ignore. Come with us, and I promise you'll be treated fairly." Sirzechs pushed for their surrender.
"I don't know how you'll treat us. But I do know what will happen to Kuroka and that's enough for me to turn you down." They're not coming.
Naruto took a stand against the Super Devil. "Look, we're not going to hurt any of you. I'm not going to hurt any of you. But you are not taking us."
Sirzechs closed his eyes. "Then I'm sorry, but you have left me with no other course of action." His eyes then opened, and his Demonic power rose to the surface. Forming around him as he glowed blood red, striking fear into some of those present.
Talks have broken down. Sirzechs intends to take them all back to the Underworld for questioning, by force. This is something Naruto can't allow. Kuroka could be put to death. Raphtalia might become a Devil prisoner again. The Devils could learn about God's death. And if they've got the right scientist and tools; and Naruto would assume they did, they could learn about the existence of Chakra through them...as well as other things.
No...None of that's happing.
Naruto didn't think he would use them like this. Good job he had them planted when he did.
Naruto flexed a finger and activated the...

Flashback to Chapter 9:
.
"Is this how a Ninjutsu Barrier is created?" Raphtalia whispered to Hinata.
"There are many ways to do it; this is just one of them. We needed to secure this building because Naruto is going to use it as the central hub for his Detection Barrier."
Some Barriers that are intended to remain in place for an extended period needs a place of origin. Some use Summoned Animals, others use the Jutsu caster as the hub, or you can use a structure as the hub; like what Naruto is doing now.
Naruto finished his preparations and placed his hand on the floor. A black formula, writing in kanji, shot across the floor and spread out to cover the walls and roof of the church. The interior of the church was covered from top to bottom. The outlines of the words shined in blue light until they died down, and the formula vanished from sight.
The only one amazed from the display was Raphtalia. "Is it done?" It all happened so fast.
Naruto stood up and stretched. "Yep, the Detection Barrier is in place. Once someone who has Senjutsu walks in or out of this town, it will alert me. But the Barrier will only remain in place so long as this church stays standing up."
But this means they need to do something.
Naruto then held out his hand to his team, he was holding something. "So give me a hand with this. We need to rig this building up."
Hinata and Konohamaru took some off his hands. But Raphtalia had a question. "Why do we need to this?"
"I don't want to leave my barrier here for others to find and inspect. If I can't come back here and manually remove, then I need to destroy the building." Since the church is serving as a hub for the Detection barrier, if it goes, the barrier will dispel.
After finishing his explanation, Naruto got Raphtalia back on task.
"So help us plant all these..."
.
...Paper bombs.
A massive explosion erupted in the distance, fire and smoke could be seen rising above the trees. The abandoned church of Kuoh Town is no more. Rias, Akeno, Sona and her queen all turned around when they heard the explosion. They were successfully distracted by the destruction of the church.
Seizing this chance, Naruto and his clones ran to make contact with each of his friends. All he needs to do is touch them to transport them out.
But Sirzechs was not distracted. He saw through this obvious trick and kept focused on the one responsible. Using his incredible speed, Sirzechs near closed the distance to the original Naruto, his hand stretched out ready to grab him.
"He's fast!" Sirzechs display of speed caught Naruto by surprise and got the drop on him; this guy is different from all the others. "He already caught on!" Naruto went to turn around to stop the Super Devil from grabbing him.
But at this distance...he wouldn't make it in time.
Knowing his partner was in trouble, Kurama flooded Naruto's system with some of his Chakra. It was enough to give Naruto the chance he needed. With newfound speed, Naruto was able to turn fast enough to face the incoming Devil.
Acting on instinct, Naruto stuck out his fist, aiming for Sirzechs jaw. The Super Devil continued on his path, his hand nearing Naruto's throat.
Both hands neared their respected targets.
Centimetre by centimetre they closed in.
Which one reached who first?
Not expecting that counter from him, Sirzechs felt Naruto's fist implant itself into his jaw. Sirzechs's hand was mere moments away from grabbing the human's neck. Before the fist sent him away, Sirzechs saw Naruto's face...and he saw something odd...
Naruto's punch made it just in time and pushed Sirzechs back. He skidded across the ground while still standing up?
"That hit would have grounded Kokabiel, but he took it and stayed standing." Never mind that, the punch did its job and gave Naruto the space he needed. This time Naruto and his clones got hold of his team and allies, and they teleported away to safety.
They vanished without a trace.
Sirzechs planted his feet and stopped his momentum. Looking up to see the humans and Youkai gone...
"Speed...no maybe teleportation magic?" The Super Devil couldn't tell. If it was speed, then why can't he sense the Holy Swords anymore? And if it was teleportation magic then what was the set-up...Sirzechs didn't see a magical circle or feel a spell being channelled.
Sirzechs then rubbed his jaw a little. It didn't hurt that much, but it was still a solid hit. "He defeated Kokabiel, so I expected him to be strong...but I certainly didn't think he'd be that fast." Sirzechs didn't use his true speed. He used just enough to get the drop on all of them. "I don't think I've ever been hit by a human before." Sirzechs was impressed by Naruto's display. But now he too shared his sister's suspicions of him.
He isn't normal.
Who is this Naruto Uzumaki?
Where did he come from?
Why couldn't Rias find any information on him?
Sirzechs now promised himself to look into this personally. This human has caught his attention, and he intended to find out everything about him. To found out if he's an enemy, a potential ally or something else to the Devils.
He had many questions about him...one in particular.
Rias ran to her brother's side to see how he's doing. She could see a mark on his cheek. "Brother, are you okay?" Naruto was actually able to hit him!
Sirzechs wasn't in any pain, so he smiled at her, his caring and brotherly nature on full display. "Oh, I'm fine, Rias-Tan."
Rias calmed down after hearing and seeing her elder brother was okay.
"Rias-Tan...what colour are Naruto's eyes?"
"Blue, I believe..." Rias had no idea where her elder brother was going with that. His eyes, why even ask that?
Sirzechs shook his head...maybe he is seeing things, or he just saw his own Demonic Power reflect off the human's eyes.
But in that moment...Naruto's eyes didn't look blue.
.
Naruto, his clones and the rest of his friends appeared at the outskirts of Kuoh Town, they managed to give the Devils the slip. But they're still in the town; those Devils would have already started searching for them.
That was close, good thing Naruto set those paper bombs up the night they came to this town. Naruto's got to hand it to Sirzechs, he's fast and decisive. Naruto had no choice but to act on instinct and punch him...here's hoping the head Devil will be a good sport about it. "I say 'don't start fights with the Devils of this town' and what do I do, I punch the leader of the Devils." Gaara and Yasaka are going to chew his ass out for this one.
"To be fair, he came at you first. Just say it was self-defence and be done with it."
"Could work...I mean come on surely this won't be a big deal right...who's gonna care that I punched Sirzechs clean across the jaw and got away with it."
"In a world where humans are at the bottom, this could come back to bite you." Kurama then did his trademark foxie grin.
"What's so funny?"
"This could be quite the boon to your reputation if this gets out."
"..." That was something Naruto doesn't need; he secretly begged that Kurama was wrong about this.
The rest that transported with Naruto noticed they were still in Kuoh.
"Why didn't you take us back to Urakyoto Naruto-Kun?" Hinata asked.
"A few things we need to short out before we make the final jump." Naruto turned to Kuroka; he needed to make sure she was on board. "You okay coming with us back to Urakyoto, right?"
The Neko Devil shrugged her shoulders. "Might as well nya." She was still acting distant.
"Xenovia, we're heading back to Urakyoto, is it alright if you come along with us too?" Naruto spoke civilly to convince her to come. "You can rest up there, and we can get Irina a doctor." A place where she can get the full treatment, just in case.
She was slow to respond. "S-sure, that would be best for her. I also need to stay with you a bit longer." Xenovia's mission wasn't done.
"You do?"
"Our mission was to retrieve the Excalibur Fragments." Xenovia then looked at Raphtalia, and the sword in her hand. "But with what's happened tonight...this is something we need to sort out." There's a lot to unpack here.
"I understand." Naruto thinks the swords should stay with Raphtalia, but he doesn't want to make relations difficult with the Angel Faction...tricky.
"Naruto...please don't tell Irina what we heard about God." Xenovia asked. It sounded like a plea.
Naruto noticed how agitated she sounded. "Okay, but why Irina specifically?"
"Her faith in God surpasses my own...if she were to learn about this, it could crush her." Irina's entire family line followed God; her belief is sowed into her very blood.
Naruto didn't need to hear any more from Xenovia. Irina's mind isn't ready to learn this truth...not yet.
Now one last thing to cover.
Naruto created a Shadow Clone and gave the clone something, something important. "Hinata do you see Kiba anywhere?"
She didn't expect that, why does he need to know where Kiba is? But Hinata got right to it and activated her Byakugan, scanning over the entire town to find him. She couldn't see him anywhere. "He's no longer in the town." She checked again; no dice, he's not here.
"Must have been taken to a Devil hospital in the Underworld or something." Not good, Naruto can't get to him. How's he supposed to...Maybe Kuroka could get him to...no terrible idea, after what happened tonight going deeper into Devil territory is inviting disaster.
Should his clone just leave it on Rias's desk with a note? No, she doesn't trust Naruto; she'd give it to her brother instead.
Who could Naruto turn to so he could keep his promise?
Wait! There is one he can ask for help.
"What about Issei, is he still in town?"
Hinata searched for the pervert; found him. "He's back at his house, sleeping. Asia's with him...in bed together."
"They're already that close, huh." Issei will work; Naruto doesn't care if he walks in on them, this is more important.
Naruto turned to his clone, giving him a silent order. The clone vanished from sight in a swirly of leaves, heading over to the pervert's house.
Hinata came to Naruto's side with a question on her mind. "What's this about?"
Before transporting them all back to Urakyoto, Naruto answer. "Just reuniting some old friends."
.
Using the same trick to get into Azazel's apartment, Naruto's clone sunk into Issei's room through his window. Looking at his surroundings, it seemed like a pretty plain room. That is until the clone noticed what's on the walls. "He's not even trying to hide it is he." Posters of girls in skimpy clothing, doing erotic poses; one of them was just a girl wearing only an apron, covered in batter.
"This pervert's incurable." Issei's too far gone.
"It's not our problem." The clone didn't care as long as he kept his perversions away from his friends. Or then it becomes a problem.
Naruto's clone snuck over to the sleeping Devil, he was sharing a bed with Asia. The clone just needed to wake him up and started off by placing a Kunai marked with Hiraishin on the wooden floor. He then grabbed a spare pillow from the wardrobe, ignoring the stack of magazines inside...and whatever that toy is.
The clone then touched Issei's free arm, transporting him to the chair, and in that same moment, quickly slipped the pillow into Asia's arms. She didn't notice and snuggled up closer to the pillow. Good, she won't wake up.
Issei landed on the chair, and the Kunai he transported to was between his legs; he didn't end up sitting on it.
"W-who-wha...Hmmmmm!" Naruto's clone covered Issei's mouth to stop him from talking. In his confused and shocked state, Issei tried to fight back and grabbed onto the clone's arm. It didn't amount to much.
"Shuuuuush, shush, be quiet." The clone whispered to Issei and got him to stop fidgeting.
Issei finally woke up proper and saw him. "Hmmmmm...Hmm...Hmmmmm." He couldn't get a word out with a hand still covering him.
"Quite, don't wake Asia up." Issei calmed down a little. "Okay I'm going to remove my hand, and we're going to talk calmly and quietly. Okay?" The clone gave him a look, which demanded an answer.
Seeing as he had no other choice, Issei slowly nodded, agreeing with the clone's proposal. The clone slowly removed his hand, allowing Issei the chance to speak.
"What are you doing in my house? What are you doing in my room?" He hasn't come to steal his collection, or get a peek at Asia's naked body; only he's allowed to do that.
"I need to ask you for a favour."
A favour...what kind of favour, and why now! "Can't this wait until morning; I've got school first thing." Ugh math in the morning, nothing worse than that.
"No, because I'm leaving town tonight. The stuff that was going to happen in this town; It's done it's over."
"Wait, you mean the swords have been dealt with?"
"Yes, and it's not important."
Issei got a bit more interested "Then what do you need my help for."
"Kiba's gone to the Underworld or someplace else, and I can't get to him. He got a little bit banged up in a scuffle, but he's fine." That would be putting it mildly "I've got something he needs to have, but I won't be able to give it to him. So I need you to hand it to him when you next see him." Issei could ask to see Kiba, or wait for him to come back, either works.
He didn't like the sound of Kiba getting hurt, but he's not dead, so Naruto kept his word...he guessed that's ok..."What am I giving to him?"
"This." The clone held out his hand and showed Issei the light container.
Issei picked it up. "Holy Power?" His Devil senses kicked him. This crystal wasn't comfortable to hold.
"Yes, and it's vital that Kiba gets this."
"Why does he need this, and why give it to me? I'm sure Buchou will be more than happy to..."
Naruto's clone didn't let him finish. "I'm not exactly high on Rias's trust list, and honestly I can't risk the chance she would give this to someone else."
"What is this even about, why be so secretive?" Issei didn't understand.
"Remember the Holy Sword Project and Kiba's friends who sacrificed themselves so he could get away?"
"Yeah, of course, I remember."
"Their souls are in that crystal."
Issei jumped out of his chair with eye-opening astonishment. "THEY'RE WHAT!"
Naruto's clone nearly jumped across the room when he covered Issei's mouth again. Issei realised what he just did, and both of them turned to look at the bed.
Asia slowly sat up from the bed, like a mummy getting out of a coffin. She held the pillow around her tight. The blond girl slowly turned her head in their direction, and they saw her eyes.
"Is she still asleep?" Her eyes weren't even open, and she was wobbling side to side. Both the boys held their breath and stood absolutely still.
"Go back to sleep, go back to sleep, go back to sleep, go back to sleep." Give Naruto a break; he's had a rough night.
By sheer luck, Asia didn't wake up and slowly fell back down on the bed, holding her pillow even tighter. "I know they're tiny Ise-San, but I promise they'll grow bigger..." She went back to whatever dream she was having.
Naruto's clone let out a sigh of relief, before looking right into Issei's eyes with a less than friendly look. Issei knew that look and what it meant. It's a 'Make another sound, and you're dead' kind of look. Koneko has given him plenty of those already.
Seeing his compliance, the clone removed his hand again. "Inside voice, you idiot."
Issei flinched. "Sorry..."
Let's try this again. "Kiba's friends from back then, their souls are in that crystal. They need to see Kiba again; they can help him stop this avenger nonsense."
Issei gained some hope. "They can?" That be great.
"Yes, so Issei, you have to hold on to this and make sure the only pair of hands you hand this off to are Kiba's. I know I'm asking a lot, keeping this hidden from your friends. If you think you can tell them about this then fine. But remember, this is for Kiba's sake...he has to get that." The clone pointed at the crystal several times to emphasise his point.
Issei didn't like the idea of keeping this form his friends, but if it's this serious and he Kiba needs this..."Okay okay, I'll make sure Kiba gets this." Issei will have to decide how he does it, but he'll make sure his friend gets it.
Naruto heard his conviction. He may be a pervert, but when it comes to his friends, he doesn't back down. That was enough for Naruto to trust him with this. He stood up with a smile and step back from Issei, picking up his Kunai and putting away.
He had some last words for him.
"You remember our conversation at the cafe?"
"I remember...It's all I've been able to think about."
"Then you know what to do...it's on you now Issei. Good luck." With his last words, the clone transported out the house to the marker at the edge of town. He'll dispel over there. If he did it in Issei's room, he might wake Asia up.
Issei sank into back into his chair. That Naruto really keeps putting him on the spot.
Issei sat up straight and looked closer at the crystal, holding it between his fingers. "Kiba's friends are really in here?" How did that even happen? Doesn't matter now. The only thing that matters is that Kiba gets this and he gets better.
"You've met quite the interesting person partner."
"Ddraig?" Issei lifted his hand to hear the voice of the dragon that dwells within his Boosted Gear; the voice echoed from a green jewel that illuminated the room.
Ddraig, otherwise known as the Welsh Dragon; and is one of the two heavenly dragons. He is one of the most powerful dragons in existence, the only dragon that rivals him is Albion, and they both are only surpassed by the two Dragons Gods. Ddraig is a being feared by Devils, Angels and Gods alike for its power, and was sealed away into the Boosted Gear during the Great War.
Luckily for Issei, Ddraig can communicate to him in such a way, that only Issei can hear him and no one else.
"I haven't heard from you since my battle with Riser."
"You haven't needed me since then so I stayed quiet."
"So you just up and bailed on me. Could've used your help when I took on Naruto in that duel."
"My help wouldn't have changed the outcome. You should avoid fighting opponents like him until you become much stronger." That's much with a capital M 'btw'.
"Yeah, I know. I was there." Issei learned firsthand to avoid fighting him. "Damn it that guy's ahead of me!"
"You're new to this, it is to be expected. Don't tell me you thought just having my power as it is would make you great."
"No, I'm not talking about that. That Naruto is ahead of me when it comes to my dream of becoming Harem King."
"..."
"Is that really something you should be concerned about?" Come on get your priorities straightened out.
"You didn't see them. He had two total smoking hot babes by his side. One had fluffy ears and a long tail, a furry's dream. The other girl had the cuteness to rival Asia but also had a killer rack to go with it. I want them in my Harem!" Issei wept silent tears and held back a sniffle.
Ddraig still had difficulty believing that this kid was his new partner...he's had some strange ones in the past...but this guy.
Here's Ddraig, hoping that his rival got someone even more embarrassing.
"You're a bit late on that front."
"Huh?"
"I was there, I see everything you see, and I know for a fact that those two girls already have eyes for someone." It was painfully obvious. "Anyway partner I'd say you should be less concerned with those girls and more concerned with this Naruto."
"I get that he's different but what's the big deal about him?"
"Kid I've lived a long time; I've seen all kinds of people from all walks of life. I know who to forget and who to remember, and this Naruto fits into the latter."
"How can you tell?"
"A dragon's instinct." Honed over his long life. "We should keep an eye on that human; because I've got a feeling, we'll be hearing more about him in the future."
Issei figured Ddraig had a point about him. Naruto is an alight guy, even if he has a habit of pissing Issei off. But he came over just to give him a chance to help Kiba...that was enough for Issei to think he's a cool guy.
But he has no intention of losing to him.
He will become the Harem King, not Naruto.
Ddraig stopped communicating with Issei and went back to sleep...or whatever he does in that Sacred Gear. "I need to sort my partner out before 'he' shows up." At Issei's current strength, Ddraig's rival will win this round.
The perverted Devil put the light container in his computer desk's draw for safekeeping. Issei will have to find a better hiding place later or Rias might find it. He'll get it to Kiba that he promises.
Getting up of his chair, Issei yawned. He's still so tired, and he'll have an early morning. Better get back to sleep.
But as he came back to his bed...he saw a problem.
"How do I get back in her arms without waking her up?" Asia took over nearly the whole bed, mistaking a pillow for Issei.
How's he supposed to get his bed back?
Damn it that blonde bastard did it again.
.
Somewhere else in an undisclosed location:
.
"Interesting...for you to show yourself there of all places Demon Fox." It has been some time since they felt his Chakra. But it was never felt again, which meant that the boy has been keeping a low profile. "This was unforeseen." This was not supposed to happen.
A man standing at seven feet, shrouded in a black cloak, has been watching since the fight first began between the two groups. Before this man, was a giant sphere, and within it played the events of what happened at Kuoh Town. The events of the battle at the church, Naruto's fight against Kokabiel, and their escape, it was informing. He now has a decent understanding of the Demon Fox's fighting style...at his base form at least.
Hearing about it and seeing it are two very different things.
This man, the leader, was not watching this alone; he was accompanied by two others, one to his right, and the other at his left.
"How did he know?" The one to his right spoke. He was much shorter than the other two, standing at only around five and a half feet. He wore a white robe, but unlike the other two, his face was on full display.
The one to their left stayed silent. He was much bigger, standing at nearly eight feet. He too wore a white robe, but half of his face was concealed. He did not answer the question with words. Instead, he pointed to the sphere, he pointed at the Youkai.
"So they've already encountered the Youkai." The one with a black cloak spoke. "But it's far too soon for them to have found the Youkai. The Shinobi would have needed to spend much more time investigating the Devils and this world before even having a chance to meet them." The only entry point for the Shinobi was the stone they left in the Underworld. Escaping the Underworld, yes that was factored in, but that would have happened much later, and the Shinobi still wouldn't know where the Youkai were located in the human world. Or that the Youkai and a 'human world' even existed.
The Shinobi should have spent much time investigating the Devils, and due to the Devil's attack, a conflict should have happened between the two factions in the Underworld. But for nearly two weeks nothing like that happened. The Shinobi somehow already learned about the human world and the Youkai. The Youkai would have told them so much about this world.
If stating a war between the two didn't happen, there was only one answer. "We've blundered."
"Perhaps, but the war between the Three Factions can still happen, that lowly being Kokabiel's actions will..."
"Wrong...with the Shinobi's display that plan has failed."
The other two stayed silent, and their leader continued. "Naruto Uzumaki not only defeated Kokabiel, but he struck Sirzechs, the strongest Devil. The Devils pride themselves on knowledge. So a human, who they believe are a far weaker race, achieving both of these things in a single night will draw all their attention." And since no information of him or his two companions exists in this world, the Devils would be even more focused on investigation them. "And if we add to the fact that Kokabiel failed to commit any true crime against the Devils. Then the Devils will have not been truly pushed to do anything...rash." Kokabiel's only crime against them was trespassing in Devil territory. It was a meagre crime and one that happens all too often in these times. Despite his position as a leader class, the fact that Kokabiel was utterly defeated and failed to attack the Devils; combined with his reputations as a foul individual that the Fallen Angels can say went rogue, would lead to said Devils not having enough ground to push for anything against the Fallen Angel faction politically.
How can they, when the Devils have committed such acts as the 'Neko massacre'. "They also failed to learn about the Biblical God's death." The Devils will not go to war.
The shortest one in white robes followed his answer. "The Fallen Angels will be focused on trying to retrieve Kokabiel." The Demon Fox will soon meet the Fallen Angel Faction then. "The Angels will be focused on that Youkai and their precious swords being taken by her." Now he sees it. The attention of the Three Factions, in one night, has been drawn to this human and his team above all else.
The plan to start a war, which would then find its way to the Shinobi world, has failed completely.
"You understand why I told you to send the Devils and not go yourself?" The leader spoke. They need Naruto's Chakra, and they need the Shinobi world to get involved with this world. But they can't let them know about their existence yet.
"I do not. If I simply go and take his Chakra, then we can get what we need so much faster."
"You underestimate him. His achievements and his people's achievements are facts." Naruto and his allies faced a Ten-Tails, faced Kaguya...and won. They have obtained power and made it their own. These are actions that must be accepted. "He is powerful; one of the strongest, but not 'the' strongest."
"You give that lowly human too much credit."
"You will heed my warning. I consider this Naruto Uzumaki one of the biggest threats to us." Many, many people have underestimated this boy and have paid the price. It is a pattern, and one they will not repeat. "If you went after him, is your victory absolute? Because should you fail, he and his world will know who they are facing." They will take a very different path, one that will cause more problems than what's happened tonight. Look at what just happened; even when he doesn't know what's really going on, he still manages to get in the way. So what would happen if he does know? "Once things are ready. Once I am ready, I will retrieve him myself."
"You are ready. The wounds you sustained..."
"They will not fully heal until I retrieve what I lost. I will not reveal myself until that is corrected." These Shinobi, Naruto and this Sasuke Uchiha, they are not the only threats. Three others in this world can be a problem. Could they lose to these three...unlikely...but..."The insult I suffered at his hands has humbled me...that is why we must be cautious."
The Biblical God caused all of this...if it wasn't for his interruption, then this world would be long gone. The gratitude and release he felt when he ended his life was indescribable. But the Biblical God still stopped him; it was still his defeat, even if the Biblical God lost his life that day.
But that defeat gave him new clarity. He still considers him and his clan superior beings to all others. But that did not stop other beings from becoming problems...threats that cannot be underestimated.
The leader pointed to the one at his right. "We will move the other areas along. But I want to know how the Shinobi learned and found the Youkai so quickly."
"I'll speak to that worm." The tallest one, the one who stayed silent the entire time was just about to leave...but his leader stopped him.
"No, I will see to it. Get in contact with our spies in Ophis's little group."
"You still wish to deal with that group?"
"For now...they have a use. Besides, Ophis's naivety serves us well." For one of the most powerful beings of this world, Ophis is laughably short-sighted, utterly unaware of their existence.
"She is still an obstacle, is she not?"
"I will deal with her personally soon enough." Her and that other dragon too. With a flick of his dark cloak, the leader turned and walked out of the room. He left his two allies to their objectives.
He soon arrived at his prisoner's residence; that Devil's cell. He opened to door and saw the Devil's condition. Day by day, this Devil is breaking down. "Rizevim Lucifer, I trust your stay is pleasant." The Devil still had his limbs; minus one, trapped in the wall, his power stripped from him.
Rizevim Lucifer slowly looked up, his eyes were near lifeless, much of his pride has been destroyed by their hands...but he still had some left. "You...what do you want?"
He approached the near broken Super Devil, stopping just short of him. "I want to know your failure."
Rizevim Lucifer didn't answer...he knew his place...
...wait...
...why would he think such a thing? His place is...is...
"The one who took your arm has found the Youkai. He should have no knowledge of their existence. I know this is not my doing." This then leaves only Rizevim Lucifer. "Now answer me."
Rizevim Lucifer heard his question, but he did not answer. He remembered his place...it was above all of this, above all others, and above him. The Devil looked up at his capture, showing nothing but defiance. Rizevim Lucifer is a true Devil. He will not bend to this creature's will.
"Ah yes, you grew up in a world where you were destined for greatness. You were meant to be the embodiment of true superiority and evil. Isn't that what you say a true Devil is?" The one shrouded in a black cloak mocked Rizevim Lucifer and his delusions of entitlement and grandeur. A Devil's pride was something truly insignificant to him.
And he has an answer for it.
Excruciating pain shot through Rizevim Lucifer and he screamed at the top of his lungs, as his left eye was gouged out; with nothing but his capture's bare hands. Blood leaked out of his empty eye socket, and travelled down his face, continuously dripping at the bottom of his chin.
His capture held the Devil's eye in the palm of his hand. "Then allow me to give you a fresh perspective of things." He then collapsed his hand, crushing the eyeball, its contents leaked out of his fingers. He then grabbed the Devil by his hair and pulled his head up to make eye contact. "I could rip the information from you right now, but you will die. Prove that your existence to me still has merit." He forced the Devil to look deep into his eyes, and the fear Rizevim felt when he saw them...he knew no words that could describe this.
Rizevim Lucifer...
He...
He...
...He is one of the three Super Devils; the last true descendant of the first Devil... and he knew his place. "I brought a Youkai with me to their world." His will has been tamed, his pride has been destroyed.
"Your reason for such action?"
"...She was...too valuable...I could not allow her to stray too far..." Rizevim Lucifer looked down at the floor and answered, his voice carried no spirit or personality; he talked as if he was nothing more than a machine.
"What value does this single Youkai have?"
"Her...ancestry."

Sorry about my miscommunication about the Rasenshuriken idea I talked about. I know that when Naruto says Rasenshuriken or Wind Style Rasenshuriken he's referring to the same Jutsu. It's just easier to say or write Rasenshuriken without the Wind Style part.
My idea is that I want Naruto to have a Rasenshuriken that doesn't explode since all of his Rasenshuriken do explode when used.
This idea of a Rasenshuriken with no nature is completely made up by me; it doesn't exist in the Naruto anime or manga. But I wanted my idea to have some logic behind it. So when I saw the Naruto the Last movie scene where Naruto uses Rasenshurikens against the puppets that came to kidnap Hinata. I always notice how there is no explosion, even in the background. This isn't a big deal, just an oversight on the animator's part since what's happing with the puppets and the heroes is more important for the movie.
But that's how I got the basis for the idea of Naruto having a Rasenshuriken that doesn't explode because it lacks an element. It will slice through people like Krillin's Destructo Disk, and it wouldn't have those microscopic elemental needles that hit every cell in the body.
But because I have come up with this attack that lacks an element, I can't have Naruto just say Rasenshuriken anymore because now that I've given him one that has no element. I run the risk of confusing the readers if I don't make it clear that when Naruto says "Rasenshuriken!" he's referring to this new variation of the Jutsu that has no element that I came up with, and will now always have to say "Wind Style: Rasenshuriken!" If he's using the wind element version and is shouting it out as he uses it.
I apologise for any miscommunication on my part.

Questions:
Why can Naruto use other Nature transformations?
Because of Six Paths Sage Mode; it gave Naruto a subconscious mastery of Chakra and the innate ability to grasp the nature of Chakra. Now Naruto can use all five basic nature transformations, yin, yang, and yin-yang release. It would be pretty easy for Naruto to learn Jutsus that use the five basic nature transformations.
Here's the proof.
Before Naruto got Six Paths Sage Mode during the war, the last Rasenshuriken he made was a giant Sage Art Wind Style one at the top of the God Tree. He needed the help of two clones to make it. Then after getting Six Paths Sage Mode (It's still the same night btw.) Naruto created a giant Sage Art Lava Style Rasenshuriken, with one hand.
Naruto jumped from needing six hands to needing one, using a nature transformation he's never had before, which is a combination of two different nature transformations; earth and fire, both of which he's never had before. Using Tailed Beasts Chakra, he recently got from Son Goku.
Also, taking it a step further, he was able to use the Chakra of the other Tailed Beasts. This is also a big deal because Kurama explained (when Naruto first learned to pass his Chakra to others; right after Hinata gained a red Chakra cloak.) That because Naruto has had Kurama's Chakra within him for years; that has slowly leaked through the seal, his body and Chakra have naturally become accustomed to it, and their Charka can perfectly link.
For Naruto to pass Kurama's Chakra to others, he has to mould the Chakra to match the Chakra of others; which is unique to everyone. One mould will work for Hinata but won't work for Sasuke or anyone else. So now Naruto is doing the same thing with the eight other Tailed Beast's Chakra, for his own Chakra, when he hasn't even had them for a day.
And if you think about it, Naruto never used the other Tailed Beast's Chakra in his Jutsus till after he got Six Paths Sage Mode, when he already had six of the eight beforehand.
If you're thinking 'he was able to grab the Tailed Beast's Chakra from Jubito in that Chakra tug of war'. It was only because he had the Chakra, not because he could use it. Otherwise, how do you explain Gaara grabbing on to the One-Tailed Shukaku when he no longer has his Chakra anymore. It's because Gaara once had it, not because he's using it; since he lost Shukaku at the start of Shippuden...and ya'know...died. Gaara lost all the Chakra he had, including Shukaku's, and Chiyo needed to transfer all of her Chakra and life force to bring him back to life.
Remember, when Shinobi lose all their Chakra, or when a Jinchuuriki has their tailed beasts extracted; like with Gaara, they die. This is how Kakashi died during Pain's attack on Konoha, beacuse he ran out of Chakra from using Kamui.
.
Kurama's Red Chakra Cloak:
Naruto won't have any drawbacks from using it since he and Kurama are friends now. That means no Chakra or life force drain and no burning his skin and organs. Killer Bee has entered the version 1, and 2 states several times and had no repercussions from doing it.
Sure the fights ended with him being hurt, but that was because he was fighting guys like Nagato and Kisame...guys who made it their living taking on Jinchuriki.
Also, the reason why I want Naruto to start using these powers again is because; while the full golden form KCM and above is stronger without a doubt. It would immediately give him away if Naruto uses KCM.
When Naruto started passing his Chakra to others, people who weren't even sensory ninja could feel it nations away, as stated by Orochimaru. Shinobi who can't even detect Chakra noticed it; so when Naruto goes KCM (since he now has the full Kurama this time), there's no reason why the strongest of the DXD world, Grigori, Seraphs, Satans, Gods, etc. wouldn't notice there's a new player in town.
...And I think we all know what Ophis would pull at that point...
.
For the wings question I had for you, I'm going to settle with damaging or cutting them off. Seems more grounded with magic being involved.
.
Naruto cutting off Kokabiel's wings:
Well, Naruto cut off Kaguya's arm with his bare hand so what chance did Kokabiel's wings have.
.
The flight Jutsu that Onoki uses has one major drawback. It's an earth style Jutsu, and it doesn't let him fly for real, but just makes him so light that gravity no longer affects him. This would make anyone who uses it physically weak, so physical attacks and their durability takes a severe hit. This is why Kabuto said Onoki's punch was lousy because he was so light.
It's no issue for guys like Onoki because he'll bombard people at a distance with Dust Release. But for others that get physical, it would be a problem, especially if they're fighting others who can also fly who don't suffer this downside.
.
Sirzechs:
Sirzechs is the strongest Devil. That is a fact.
He is a wizard type fighter which means he prefers range combat over close combat. Using his mastery of the Power of Destruction to end fights and keep his foes at a distance. It's because of this I say that Sirzechs isn't a durable Devil. Don't get me wrong he can take a hit and hold his own in CQC. But he's preferred fighting method is at range and not in a slugfest.
Let's compare Sirzechs to Sairaorg. Now Sirzechs is more powerful, and if they fought then Sirzechs would win, that's obvious. But Sairaorg is way more durable than Sirzechs due to his training, his frame, Touki, etc.
Sirzechs wouldn't want to take a hit; instead, he would use magical circles for defence, or use his Power of Destruction as a shield, like how he uses it like a Chakra Cloak or turns himself into it. It's not about taking a hit, but about avoided or blocking a hit.
But if it came to taking a hit, skin on skin contact. Then Sairaorg would take that batter than Sirzechs can.

Caliburn in number one as it has the highest amount of Holy Power and can mess and rips holes in space.
I'd give the True Excalibur the second spot. While True Excalibur and Durandal are even in power, True Excalibur is more versatile with more now seven different abilities.
Third is Durandal who out of the Four True Holy Swords should have the most destructive power since that's what it's all about. However, I don't believe that the statement 'It can slice through all things' is true because we've got feats that contradict that statement.
Kokabiel blocked it with a regular holy spear pretty easily, it failed to destroy any of the swords used by Siegfried even when only Gram should have been able to stand up to it since Gram and Durandal are evenly matched. And when she used an upgraded version of Durandal against the Hero faction in Kyoto, while it did create a massive hole in the dimension where they fought and destroyed the shrine they were at; which was impressive. It failed to hurt or kill any of them.
Durandal is a mighty sword, but it's not almighty; it can't just slice through anything it wants. Yes, it will get stronger as Xenovia gains more control over it, but the answer is still the same.
Last place is Ascalon, while still a powerful sword; the sword's all about fighting dragons. It's like what kryptonite is to Superman.
Excellent against dragons...okay against everyone else.
But it would still be effective against Devils and Fallen Angels because it is still a True Holy Sword.

Raphtalia's new sword looks like Caliburn from Fate/Stay Night
The True Excalibur would look like Excalibur Proto from Fate/Stay Night

Why follow canon elements with Kokabiel's part:
I made it clear from the start that some cannon elements would happen, some wouldn't. While I do admit, I did stick close to cannon with Kokabiel's part. My aim was to take it and lead it to a different outcome.
Because Kokabiel failed to attack the Devils, his goal wasn't learned, and the secret about God's death wasn't told. The Three Faction Peace meeting can't happen now.

Why would Issei keep the light container hidden from Rias:
He was going to hide the fact that he and Koneko were going to help the church destory the Excaliburs...so why not also hide the light container.
