Part 35

Nora arrived at the hospital to find it packed. She made her way through the crowd of people heading for the room her husband told her Barry was in. She walked in to see Caitlin sitting next to Barry's bed with tears falling down her face. As she quietly walked in she could hear the young woman talking.

"Barry, you need to wake up. I wasted too much time. I can't lose you now that I have you back in my life. I was a fool to run from you years ago. Crystal needs her daddy. I love you." Said Caitlin

"Caitlin? How is he? How are you?" asked Nora

"Nora. He is doing ok. I mean for being in a coma. I am not hurt if that is what you are asking. Emotionally not so good. I love Barry never stopped. I hate that I didn't trust him. If I hadn't been so insecure Crystal wouldn't have spent the first six years of her life without her dad or two loving grandparents. By the way who is with Crystal?"

"Henry's brother Jay and his wife, my cousin Joan."

"That is good. Though they spoil her almost as much as you do."

"Well right now she is the closest thing they have to a grandchild. Though I think Jesse is getting close to settling down. She has been dating Wally for almost three years now."

"Wally? You mean Wally West? Joe West's son?"

"Yes. Honey, he is nothing like Iris. From what Joan told me it makes him sick what Iris did to you. What she was planning on having done to Crystal."

"I don't have any hard feelings towards Wally. Iris is the only one to blame for the choices she made."

Caitlin held Barry's hand ignoring the slight shock she was getting from it.

Iris sat in the prison transportation bus on her way to Iron Heights prison to a wait trial. She had been denied bail at her hearing that afternoon. Not that she had anyone who would have posted it anyway. Her father had told her he would not help her. Her brother Wally declined every call she had tried to place to him. She looked out the window at the storm the had gotten worse as they headed to the prison. Suddenly the bus crashed the bus broke open and all the prisoners made a break for it. Iris climbed out of the wreckage and ran off.

At the same time the particle accelerator was exploding Charlie was by his wife's side as she gave birth to there twin girls. He held one of his new daughter in his arms.

"Charlie any word on Barry and your sister?" asked Erin as she nursed their other new baby.

"Cait is going to be fine. Barry was hit by lightning and in a coma."

"He is still alive? How is that possible?"

"How would I know? Erin, I am no doctor or scientist. I am not even sure Cait understands it. All I know is that if he dies she will be heart broken."

"Your sister is much stronger then you think she is. She spent nearly six years raising a kid mostly on her own. Caitlin will pull herself together and go on because she has too."

"That is something I know. But what I fear is that she will retreat inside herself and let that cold alter ego my dad created for her take over."

"Charlie, just because your dad has an evil alter ego doesn't mean that Frost is. Frost is not happy to be locked away. But knows that Caitlin in not responsible for it. But she has gain strength in the past couple months. She is ready to break free."

"Erin, how can you know this?"

"I can hear both Caitlin and Frost's thoughts. It is confusing. But all Frost wants is to protect Caitlin, Crystal and the new baby."

"Wait what new baby?"

"I'm pregnant Charlie." Said Caitlin walking in.

"That bastard got you pregnant?" growled Charlie

"Watch the language Charles." Said Erin

"How long have you known Cait?" asked Charlie

"Since Iris nearly killed me. I was planning to tell you. I am still getting my head wrapped around this. I already talked to Laurel. She is double checking that it is legal to put someone I know can't be the biological father on the birth certificate."

"You want to name Barry as the father." Said Charlie

"I do. Charlie, I don't want Richard to have anything to do with this baby. If I have to I will leave the father's name blank. Now can I actually meet my new nieces?"

"Of course."

Charlie handed the baby in his arms to Caitlin.

"Meet Ashlee Caitlin Snow." Said Charlie

"Her middle name is Caitlin?"

"Of course. Caitlin, Susan has my mom's name as her middle name. This here Nicole Carla. Yeah my sisters will probably be upset I didn't name any of my kids after them but I don't care." Said Erin

"Erin, when I came in I thought that I heard you say you can hear my thoughts and Frost's thoughts." Said Caitlin

"I can. Frost just wants to keep you safe. If she hadn't been locked up the first time Richard hurt you would have been the last." Said Erin

"Richard would have done something to have Crystal taken from me. He would have also had me locked up as a dangerous meta. He hates metas. I don't know why. All I know is that he hates them."

"Not all metas are bad." Said Erin

"Well Dick is a jerk. So is there any change in Barry?" asked Charlie

"No. His mom is with him. She wanted me to take a break. I am going home soon try and get some rest. Maybe bring Crystal back to see her dad and meet her new cousins." Said Caitlin

"Keep us updated on Barry. I will talk to mom. If Barry needs long term care maybe she can help Dr. And Mrs. Allen work something out for it." Said Charlie

"That might be good. Barry's cousin Jesse works for Dr. McGee at Mercury Labs now. His Uncle Jay is also a scientist and may have a few ideas. Especially seeing as Barry's heart rate jumps all over the place at times." Said Caitlin

"Ok. Go see your kid and get some rest. Someone will call you if anything happens with Barry." Said Charlie

"Thanks. Love you big brother."

"Love you baby sister."

Caitlin handed the baby back to her brother and hugged him before heading out.
