Part 41

Caitlin followed Eddie to the medical room next to where Barry was. As she walked into the room that Henry was going to check her over her mom pulled her into a hug.

"Caitlin, I was worried about you." Said Carla

"Mom, I am ok." Said Caitlin

"Why don't we let Dr. Allen be the judge of that young lady."

Caitlin rolled her eyes but took a seat on the exam table. Henry came in and gave Caitlin a smile.

"Carla, why don't you let me check Caitlin over." Said Henry

"I think I should stay with my daughter." Said Carla

"Mom, get out! I am not a child. I have a child and a baby on the way. If there is anything you should know I will tell you." Said Caitlin

Carla walked out not happy. Caitlin turned to Henry.

"So no change in Barry?" asked Caitlin

"No. But Jay has an idea of what maybe going on with him."

"I am sure he does. Maybe because something similar happen to him years ago?"

"You really are much smarter then most people notice."

"So are you confirming that your brother Jay is the Flash that saved Nora years ago?"

"Well, I can't do that. One it is not my secret to tell, and two it might break doctor patient confidentiality. Just like I would never tell anyone about you being a meta."

"Well everyone who matters already knows."

"You look pretty good. But let's take a look at the baby make sure they are ok. Maybe then we can also determine exactly how far you actually are. You have been back nearly four months. But the fact you are just starting to show means you can't be much more then five."

"I know."

Caitlin laid back on the table and pulled up her shirt to reveal her baby bump. Henry turned on the ultrasound machine and squeezed some gel onto Caitlin's stomach. He noticed she didn't react to what he knew was cold gel. He picked up the wand and began sliding it over Caitlin. He turned up the sound and they could both hear the fast heart beat of the baby.

"Well it looks like this little one is taking after their mom. Looks healthy and the right size for you to be four and a half months."

"Is the baby in the position to determine gender?"

"Well I know Crystal wants a baby sister."

"True. But I don't care as long as they are healthy. You do know no matter what you are this baby's grandpa."

"Well then I hope he will like fishing. That is something I have dreamt about since Barry first told me he wanted to ask you to marry him."

"I am sure he is going to love to spend time with his grandpa doing all kinds of things."

"I know you want to see Barry so go a head. I think there is a change of clothes around here somewhere for you."

"I will get them later. Eddie told me that Crystal doesn't know I was kidnapped."

"We all thought it was best not to tell her."

"Good. Henry, you can tell my mom, that I am fine. I am going to see Barry. Tell him he needs to wake up. That I don't want to raise our little boy without him."

"You know Barry wants nothing more than to be a family with you. Even this baby that is not his by blood."

"I know. I just want him to wake up so I can tell him that I am ready to be with him. To be a family with him."

"He knows you do honey. He has just been waiting for you to realize it yourself."

Caitlin hugged Henry and then headed into Barry's room.

Richard woke to find that he was handcuffed to a hospital bed. He looked around the room to see an older man sitting in a chair watching him. He could see the detective's badge on his belt.

"What is the meaning of this? I am a cop!"

"Richard Carson, you are under arrest for assault, kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, stalking and conspiracy to commit murder."

Joe then read him his rights.

"I will have your badge for this! What are you doing about that ice freak? She needs to be locked up!" yelled Richard

"Carson, you have no power here. Oh and by the way your Captain is on his way. He has some news for you. News that you aren't going to like from what I hear."

A nurse walked in just then. She looked over everything thing and turned to Joe.

"How long has he been awake Detective?"

"Just a few minutes."

"I will let the doctor know."

"That is fine. I need to get back to the station. But there will be an uniformed officer outside the room."

"Detective West, trust me no one here wants this guy to get away with what he has done to Caitlin Snow. I may not work the ER like she does. But we all know who she is. She treats everyone like her equal. Even housekeeping."

"I don't know her well. But I do know she has a good heart."

Joe headed out nodding at the officer and left the hospital.

Caitlin sat down next to Barry after greeting Nora. She took his hand and felt the now familiar spark of electricity.

"Hey Barry, I am so sorry I haven't been here for you. But Richard kind of kidnapped me. Don't worry he didn't hurt me. Well not badly anyway. I had to let Frost out. She really wants to get to know you. Just between you and me, I think she might be a little bit of a flirt. But we don't have to worry she is not going to go all super villain on us. But you need to wake up honey. This baby I am carrying is it's a boy. I don't know if I can raise a boy without you. I know your dad will be there to help me. So will Eddie, Charlie, Ronnie and Cisco. But do you really want our little boy quoting nothing but sci-fi movies and tv shows all the time."

Caitlin let out a sigh not getting a response from Barry. She kissed his hand before grabbing the sweatpants and t-shirt laying on a table and heading to take a shower in the employee locker room.
