Part 42

Two months later

Caitlin let out a groan as she climbed out of bed. She was now seven months pregnant. She placed her hand on her belly which now very noticeable showed her baby bump. She looked at Snowbarry who was still laying on the foot of her bed. She had to wonder if the dog was going to keep sleeping there once Barry started to share the bed with her. After going to the bathroom she headed to see if Crystal was up.

"Crystal are you up? You have to go to school." Said Caitlin

"I want to sit with daddy." Said Crystal

"Crystal, you need to go to school. You can see daddy after school."

"I miss daddy."

"I miss him too sweetie. But he is going to wake up and then we will be a family."

"The new baby too?"

"Yes the new baby too. Are you excited about having a baby brother?"

"I would rather have a sister. But I guess it will be ok. What is his name going to be?"

"I'm not sure yet. Is there a name you like?"

"I need to think about it."

"Ok honey let's get you dressed and have breakfast."

An hour later Caitlin had dropped Crystal off at school and was walking into Barry's room. She rolled her eyes when she heard "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga playing. She noticed Cisco was sitting by the bed telling Barry about how he needed to wake up so they could do a Star Wars marathon.

"Cisco why are you playing this song?" asked Caitlin

"According to his Facebook page it's his favorite song. I would think as the love of his life you would know that."

"Actually it's not his favorite song. Someone had to have hacked his page and put it there. I mean yeah he likes Lady Gaga. But it's not his favorite song."

"What is then?"

"Like I am going to tell you."

"Come on Caitlin! I am trying to get him to wake up before Little Cisco is born."

"I am not naming my baby after you. If you want a kid named after you then get yourself a woman and have your own kid."

"Hey it's not like I haven't been trying! But I can't get a date"

"Maybe if you didn't dress like a teenage boy that just crawled out of his parents basement and got a haircut you would get one."

"Damn girl what is with the frosty attitude?"

"Cisco just go for a while ok? I love you like a brother. But I would like to be lone with Barry for a while."

"Sure no problem."

Once Cisco was gone Caitlin sat down next to Barry after turning off Lady Gaga.

"Morning honey. Now I need you to wake up. I need your help naming this baby boy. Beside Cisco is going to be on a mission to find a song to wake you up. But I will never tell him what our song is. But I could never sing it without you. Or where anyone can hear me other than you. We both know I sing as bad sober as I do when I am drunk. But you have an awesome voice. I can't believe that you could still love me even after you found out I sound worse than nails on a chalkboard when I try to sing."

"He loves you because even under that layer of ice you hid your heart he could see someone who has a great ability to love." Said Nora walking in.

"He was the only one that did besides my brother."

"No he wasn't. When he first brought you home Henry and I saw a little girl that was broken hearted because she had lost not only her dad. But also her hero."

"Yeah some hero. He used me as a lab rat."

"He did what he did out of love. He didn't to risk you suffering the way he had been."

"He should have waited until I was old enough to make that choice myself. He should have also told my mom what he planned to do. I got lucky that Frost is not evil. I never would have gotten away from Richard without her."

Awe Caity. You like me? Isn't that sweet. Just know if Dickie ever shows up again I might not stop at just stabbing him in the leg and beating the crap out of him. I might stick my icicles in a few places that the sun don't shine. Or maybe through whatever he has in place of a heart.

Nora noticed the look in Caitlin's eyes and wondered if she was ok.

"Caitlin are you ok?" asked Nora

"Sorry Frost was talking to me. Let's hope that Richard Carson never crosses our path again."

"What about Iris? Last I heard she is still on the run."

"To be honest I have no idea. I am not even sure that I would be able to stop myself from hurting her. She not only tried to kill me but was willing to kill my daughter."

"No one would hold it against you if you were too."

Nora hugged Caitlin knowing that the younger woman needed it.

Star City

The vigilante known as the Green Arrow stood on a roof top over looking a run down motel in the area known s the Glades. He watched as a woman made her way into a second floor room.

"Overwatch who is this woman again?" he asked his tech support through his com.

"Iris West. She is wanted in both Central City and Keystone for a number of crimes. Attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder of a child, two counts intent to do great bodily harm. One of which is to a child. Assault and escape. Her father is actually a detective with CCPD. He has disowned her."

He turned to his partner a woman dressed in black carrying a Police issue Billy club.

"Ollie, the woman she tried to kill is a friend of mine. Well more like the sister of a friend. I have done some legal work for her. Her little girl is really sweet." Said Laurel

"So Charlie Snow's sister."

"Yeah. Iris has been out to get Caitlin and ruin her life since they were kids."

"Then I think it is time we bring her to justice."

Oliver Queen shot a grappling arrow into the wall of the motel. He then used his bow to slide down the rope. Laurel followed him using the Billy club to slide down. Once they were down Laurel took a deep breath and let out a sonic scream which she developed after a visit to see her mom in Central City the night the Star Labs particle accelerator exploded. The windows of the room shattered. Iris jumped off the bed planning to make a run for it. But she never made it to the door. Oliver quickly fired two arrows. One through her right shoulder and the second into her left leg.

"Iris West, you have failed Central City."

Iris cried out in pain but was unable to get up.

"Overwatch notify Captain Lance where he can find a wanted felon from Central City." Said Oliver

"He is already on his way. I think you two should get out of there before he gets there."

"Good we are on our way back to the bunker."

"See you both when you get here."

Oliver and Laurel left just before SCPD arrived. Iris was taken into custody before being transported to Star General Hospital for medical treatment.
