The water along the white beach glistened with the shine of vibrant sand that had arranged itself on the floor below. The sun shined clearly above the beach as two figures lay still. There was no shade to shelter them, for they sat to far from the palm trees to have any shade. The water lapped against the two figures feet sending a cold tickling sensation through them. As the wave withdrew, back into the ocean one of the two spoke up.

"It's hot Sora," she said. She had moved her hand over her eyes to shade herself from the sun.

"Maybe because it's summer?" Sora replied idly.

"It's too hot to talk Sora."

"Then don't."

The girl turned shifting her position and was now hugging Sora. She looked at the clouds indifferently as she drew little circles along his stomach.

"Sora?" she said. She stopped drawing imaginary circles on Sora now.

"Yes?"
"Those clouds look like white elephants."

"Yes… they do," he said as he turned to hug her.

"Sora?"

"Yes?"

The girl got up and pointed towards some palm trees in the distance. "Sora let's go into the shade."

"I can't"

"Oh… that's right," she sighed as she lay back down.

"What now?" she asked.

"Whatever you want it's your memory… well it is mine, but you know what I mean."

The girl stood back up and know was looking back at the clouds. She examined them closely unlike before.

"They really do look like white elephants," she said once again.

"That's because you want them too."

"Oh, yes…" she looked down at Sora.

"Why can't we be like this?"

"Are you fine?" he questioned.

"Oh, yes… yes I am fine."

She smiled at him and looked fondly on his face. The wind blew and caught her hair making it flow in the direction it was blowing.

"Yes… I am fine, everything is fine…"

The white sandy beaches started to fade away as she stood there. Sora closed his eyes and appeared in a capsule in front of her. All around her, the walls were white and she stood with a drawing notebook in her hand. She once again stared at Sora and felt her heart jump. She moved both her hands over her heart covering the front of her with the notebook.

"Naminé" a voice echoed throughout the castle, soft as an echo.
