Disclaimer: I do not own Poke- Oh wait, wrong series… I do not own Cardfight Vanguard! Cardfight Vanguard is owned by Ninten- I mean Bushiroad. Yes! Shut up... I've been tired from the past week, so my brain isn't working properly… Anyways, Bushiroad owns Poke- GODDAMMIT!

Two updates within the span of two days… Yeesh, I'm on fire aren't I? But I was due to bring this chapter for you all for the longest time, so I felt like I had to do it...

So… Anyways… I realize it's been way too long since I updated this story… and Valentine's 2018 has long since passed. But better late than never I suppose. I decided to take a short break from Silver Bells just to update this and possibly Land Ho as well. Not because I'm lacking in ideas for Silver Bells, definitely not, but because these two stories have been in quite high demand and I kinda left you guys hanging there. Sorry that you had to wait so long!

Before we begin, a few things to be clear about regarding my Vanguard situation: I stopped playing the game. Life sorta caught up to me, and well, I just don't have as much time to indulge in children's card games like I used to.

I realize the G era has long since ended and we're now in the Overdress era. I have not watched Overdress, so I have no idea if it's good or not and I also most certainly have not watched the abomination that is the Emi magical girl spin-off… So… to be clear here, I'm a Vanguard relic… I know nothing about new era stuff. I know Overdress is done by Clamp, however, and considering Cardcaptor Sakura (Also done by Clamp.) is like my childhood, I may consider looking into it sometime in the future. I was a bit turned off by having another shy main protagonist like Aichi though. (They both have blue hair as well for crying out loud.) Maybe, if I get enough feedback that it really does live up as an amazing next gen Vanguard series, I'll give it a go, so do be sure to tell me if it's any good or not.

I also realize Chronoha is probably dead at this point, but I still find the ship to be quite cute and charming. Is it dead? Is it not dead? Do please let me know! Personally, reading through the previous four chappies was enough for me to want to continue writing this! I mean, I wouldn't be continuing this series if I didn't find the ship to at least be a little appealing, right?

Well, anyway, I've rambled on enough. I hope you all enjoy this chappy because this is a chapter you've all waited a long time for. Once again, sorry for such a late update!

Summary: It's Valentine's Day… and Tokoha wants to do something special for Chrono. But when Chrono surprises her with something special of his own, how will she react?

Chapter 5: Valentine's Day

"Yes! Perfect, perfect! They came out absolutely perfect! I knew I could do it if I put in the time and effort!" Tokoha beams eagerly as she takes out freshly baked treats out of the oven. Tomorrow was Valentine's Day, and the green haired girl wanted to surprise her boyfriend and do something absolutely special for him which would rock his world! "I've really outdone myself this time! Just you wait, Chrono, tomorrow I'm going to blow your mind!" The green haired girl giggles as she lets the treats cool for a bit before storing them into a small, cute pouch with a small, chibi Chrono Dran printed on it. She had sewn the pouch herself a few days before with a little help from her best friend, Kumi, and had carefully and painstakingly designed the Chrono Dran from scratch all on her own. She did all this prep, just to surprise her boyfriend with the best Valentine's Day present ever!

Now all she had to do was wait until tomorrow and surprise the red haired boy!

Tomorrow couldn't come soon enough. Tokoha lies down on her bed, covering herself in her sheets. She was so excited. She couldn't wait to see the look on Chrono's face when she surprised him!

The next day, Tokoha woke up bright and early, getting ready for school and packing up the pouch she prepared the other day. Today was officially Valentine's Day, and she planned to make it a day to remember! After getting dressed, brushing her teeth and getting ready for school, the green haired girl is off and heads to school full speed ahead. She was going to meet up with her boyfriend and they were going to walk to school together as they usually did.

However, moments after she's already on her way to school, she receives a text from Chrono, telling her to go on without him. The nerve of it all! She was going to surprise him and he had the gall to tell her to go without him? Did he know what day it was today? The green haired girl huffs at this and pouts adorably. She wasn't about to be discouraged, however! She was going to wait until after school to show him her big surprise.

After school, Tokoha is waiting by the school gate. She was going to walk home with Chrono together and then, she would drop the big surprise. But first, she was going to give him an honest to god talking to! How dare he ditch her this morning? And when she was so very much looking forward to surprising him! Soon enough, Tokoha spots him. The red haired boy has his hands in his pockets coolly and his backpack over his shoulders while his eyes are closed.. Tokoha goes up to him with her arms on her hips and a haughty pout on her face.

"Geez, you're late! Took you long enough!" Tokoha says with a huff while pouting cutely. "Do you have any idea what day it is, mister?" Chrono just looks the other way casually with his backpack over his shoulder in a casual manner.

"It's Valentine's Day, right?" Chrono says in a laid back manner with one eye opened. Tokoha pauses as Chrono says this. So he did remember! Chrono then takes out a paper bag from the Nishi Bakery and hands it to the green haired girl. "Here, I got these for you…" Tokoha tips her head to the side and takes a look inside the bag… And her eyes widened in complete shock.

Inside the bag… was the extremely rare, limited time Golden Valentine's Day croquette bread. It only came once a year during Valentine's Day and stock was limited, making it super high on demand. Tokoha had heard stories of people camping out at the bakery in order to be the first to secure them. To this day, Tokoha had never been able to get to try them out herself… until now… That's why Chrono couldn't walk with her this morning. He went through such lengths, camping out at the bakery, waiting in the probably still monstrously long line… just to secure these for her… She was left speechless… She didn't even know what to say…

Before she knew it… the green haired girl was moved to tears… She was so genuinely touched by this gesture she forgot why she was mad in the first place. Now her little surprise for him seemed so puny in comparison… Chrono looks concerned and panics at seeing his girlfriend crying and moved to tears, thinking he did something wrong.

"D-Did I do something wrong? You don't like it?" Chrono asks while panicking frantically. "I-I-I can get you something else if this isn't what you wanted!" Tokoha shakes her head and smiles at Chrono with tears of joy still streaking down her eyes.

"N-No, that's not it, Chrono…" Tokoha says in a small, reassuring voice. "I-I just… I was so touched you went through such lengths to get these for me that I… I don't know what to say… Thank you… This is the best Valentine's Day present ever!" Chrono calms down and smiles while petting her on the head affectionately.

"Anything for you! Consider it my thanks for all you've done for me! I never would have gotten where I am today if it weren't for you!" He says with an affectionate smile on his face. "Now, you said you had a surprise for me earlier, right? Did you still want to share with me?" Tokoha perks up at this and looks the other way while clutching the bag of croquettes in her hands.

"I-It really isn't anything special… I-I don't think it's worth anything anymore compared to… well… these…" She says as she looks down at the delicious looking golden crusted croquettes in the bag. Chrono simply shakes his head and takes Tokoha's hand.

"It's fine! Valentine's Day doesn't need to be a competition over who gives the best present, you know! I went through the lengths that I did to get you these because I knew it would make you happy! I did it because I wanted to do it!" He says with an affectionate smile on his face while tenderly holding Tokoha's hand. "It's all about the feelings, and I want to receive your feelings, Tokoha! So please… share your feelings with me!" The green haired girl has a deep, flustered blush on her cheeks as he says this, completely smitten by his words. Why must he be so gosh darn cute and so good with words? She fidgets around in a flustered manner while a deep red in the cheeks before pulling out her Chrono Dran pouch from out of her backpack.

"... Here… I baked these myself…" Tokoha says quietly while looking the other way, still a deep red in the cheeks. Chrono notices that Tokoha's fingers were bandaged as well, figuring out that she had sewn the bag herself as well. The red haired boy opened the bag and inside were a bunch of tiny red chocolate cookies. They were swirled, and designed in the shape of his hair. The pink swirl was filled with strawberry filling. Chrono takes a cookie and puts it in his mouth, munching on it for a bit, before swallowing. Tokoha swallows hard while clenching her bag of croquettes, wondering if he would like them or not. Chrono pauses for a bit and then looks at Tokoha and beams brightly at her with sparkling eyes while putting his hands on her shoulders, their faces inches from each other..

"These are amazing!" Chrono says to Tokoha with a wide smile on his face, having received Tokoha's feelings. "If you don't mind, I'd like to go to your house today so we can make some more! I would love to share some with Mikuru-san if you don't mind!" Tokoha has an overjoyed smile on her face, so glad that her efforts had paid off.

"Of course…" Tokoha says with a small, gentle smile on her face. "You're free to stay for as long as you like!" Chrono smiles as she says this and takes her hand while in his other hand, he holds onto the pouch of chocolates. Tokoha has a cheerful, overjoyed smile on her face as she holds the bag of croquettes in her arms and hums a merry tune while cuddling and leaning her head against Chrono's shoulder.

… Today really was the best Valentine's Day ever!

To be Continued

And there we have it! Short, sweet and full of fluffy goodness! I'm sorry you all had to wait so long for me to finally deliver this to you all. But I hope the wait was worth it. I think past me had a hard time thinking how I was going to deliver on this premise, but once I started brainstorming ideas personally and really thinking how I was gonna go about this, it all just flowed so naturally! XD

I forgot how much fun these shorts were to write. I feel like I definitely need to do some more Chronoha sometime in the distant future. I'm starting to fall in love with this ship all over again! XwX;;

Anyways, be sure to review and give feedback. Also do be sure to let me know if Overdress is any good or not. I'm genuinely curious. Next chapter might be the last one because, well, you can only do so much with holiday shorts and I don't plan on repeating holidays. Christmas, Halloween and New Years had their time to shine and as sad as it is, all good things must come to an end eventually, yes? If you guys have any other holiday ideas, let me know! I'll take them into consideration! This also definitely does not mean this is the end of Chronoha content. I'll definitely look to do some more in the future! Anyways, on to the preview!

Preview: It's summertime and Chrono and Tokoha are on a romantic beach side date! However, when a pervert starts harassing and flirting with his green haired girl, Chrono starts to get jealous. Will he make a stand and protect his girl? Next time on Chronoha Holiday Shorts: Summer

Yes, I'm aware that summer is not actually a holiday… But I just want an excuse to do a beach episode! XD So you know what? Deal with it! XD
