Part 44

Caitlin waited until she was alone with Barry before she made the decision to take her daughter's advice. Besides she knew that if she didn't then Frost most likely would.

"I hope this works Bare. I need you."

Taking a deep breath Caitlin half climbed on the bed with Barry and pressed her lips to his kissing him with all the passion she felt for him. She could hear his heart monitor pick up the jump in his heart rate. She broke the kiss needing air. She pulled back and heard a soft groan come from Barry. Then his eyes opened. Caitlin broke into a big smile.

"Hey welcome back." Said Caitlin

"Hey Cait. Um not that I am complaining but why are you on top of me?" asked Barry

"You have been in a coma for nearly three months."

"What happened?"

"The night Star Labs turned on the particle accelerator it malfunctioned and exploded. If you remember there was a storm. The energy released in the explosion seeded the storm. You were hit by a bolt of lightning from that storm."

"Ok. Um this doesn't look like a hospital."

"It's not. This is a lab owned by my mom. Your dad and I have been your primary caretakers. Your Uncle Jay and my mom have run all kinds of tests. Now that you are awake there will be more."

"Yeah I get it. Cait, um not to be rude or anything but have you gained weight?"

Barry watched as Caitlin's eyes flash a glowing blue for a second before returning to their normal warm brown.

"Watch it Bartholomew. You do remember that I am pregnant."

"Yes. I remember."

"Well I am nearly seven months pregnant so this baby boy is starting to get big."

"It's a boy?"

"Yes. Laurel looked into things and if you are still willing I can name you as his father."

"Of course. I already love him. Cait, it isn't blood that makes a family. It's people who love each other."

"I know. You taught me that. You should know our daughter has picked out her brother's name."

"Please tell me she doesn't want to name him after some Disney character."

"I talked her out of it. She wanted his name to be Kristoff from Frozen. But I convinced her that Kristopher was better."

"Where is she?"

"At school. I will go get her later. She needs to go to school."

"I agree."

They both turned when they heard a gasp at the door. Nora came running in and hugged Barry.

"Oh my beautiful boy!" cried Nora

"Mom, I am ok." Said Barry

"I think your father and Caitlin will be the judge of that." Said Nora

Barry just nodded knowing better then to try and argue with his mother.

Joe hung up the phone and let out a sigh of relief. Eddie looked up at his partner.

"Everything ok Joe?" asked Eddie

"Yeah. That was Captain Quinton Lance of Star City PD. Iris was taken into custody last night. The Green Arrow and Black Canary caught her."

"She is still alive?"

"Yeah. Though she will need surgery to repair two ligaments in her leg. The Green Arrow put a arrow into it and one in her shoulder."

"Guess it is better that he got to her. I don't know if Frost would have the same restraint to not to kill her."

"Is that what they are calling the ice queen that took down Carson?"

"Um yeah. Thought you knew that."

"I was surprised she didn't kill Carson to be honest."

"I don't think that she is a killer. Sure she might kill if there is no other way."

"Just make sure Caitlin knows it has to be justifiable or self defense. Hate for that little girl of hers to grow up with out her mom."

"Or the baby she is pregnant with."

Leonard Snart for the first time in his life didn't mind that he was in prison. In fact he was he was on a mission. Richard Carson was a dirty cop much like his own father. He also had another thing in common with Lewis Snart. He liked to beat on women. Now that was not something he would let anyone get away with. He looked over at his old pat Mick Rory. Now Mick was a bit of a hot head in more then one way. They were opposites Mick loved fire while Lenard was more into ice. But they had been friends since they met in juvie. He walked across the prison yard to Mick.

"Snart, when do we get out of here?" asked Mick

"Soon buddy. But first there is something that we need to take care of."

"What?"

"See that guy over there away from everyone? His name is Richard Carson. A now ex cop from Hub City. He is in for beating on his ex girlfriend who dumped him. She didn't want to be his punching bag."

"So you want to kill the pig?"

"Well I thought we could get some of these to cause a good old prison riot and get him taken out. Then you and I blow this place."

"Sounds like a plan."

Snart and Mick made their way over to Carson each going to either side of the ex cop.

"I hear you like to beat on women. That is not something I can let you get away with. You see my old man is a lot like you. A dirty cop that not only beat on my mom but my little sister too. Mick's old man was just a plan jerk." Said Snart

"He beat anyone and everyone. So I roasted him and my old lady cause she had no back bone." Said Mick

"I should have killed that freak when I had the chance. That ice bitch deserves worse then what I did to her." Said Carson

"So it turns out the woman you beat on is a meta and not afraid to defend herself. That is good. But the thing is the only thing that these guys in here hate more then a cop. Is a man that likes to hurt women or kids." Said Snart

"Hey guys! Carson here is a pig and likes to beat on girls." Yelled Mick

It didn't take long before the men in the prison yard surrounded Carson. No one would ever know who it actually was. But by the time the prison guards were able to break up the brawl ten minutes later Snart and Rory had made their prison break and Carson laid on the ground dead. His skull crushed by a twenty pound weight, and stabbed in the gut by a make shift knife.
