Part 55
Caitlin glanced behind her feeling like she was being watched. She noticed a man wearing a floppy hat. She could feel a chill go down her spine. She had a bad feeling that it was her missing father. Not that she was looking forward to reuniting with the man that used her as a science experiment.
Caity, you know I won't let him hurt you or Crystal right?
Caitlin knew she couldn't respond out loud to Frost but sent her feelings to her other half letting her know that she knew.
"Mom, this place is so cool." Said Crystal
"Yeah it is sweetie. You have fun with your friends." Said Caitlin
Crystal went back to her friends. Caitlin turned when she heard a motorized wheelchair come up behind her.
"Looks like your daughter takes after both her parents."
Caitlin looked at Barbara Gordon wondering how much the computer expert knew. Caitlin suspected but couldn't prove it that the daughter of the Gotham City police commissioner was also a hacker.
"Why are you in Central City Barbara? Why are you and Bruce Wayne stalking my fiancee and me?" asked Caitlin turning her attention back to the kids.
"Your brother did say that you were the smartest in your family."
"Tell me what you and Gotham's billionaire playboy want with Barry and me."
"Actually it is more your alter egos we want to make an offer to."
"I have no idea what you are talking about. I am nothing more then a physician assistant, and Barry is just a CSI."
"Yeah right. Look I get you might not be able to admit things in public. But I know who you are and who your father is. You should know that your father is working with the man the world knows as Harrison Wells. He is also the man that tried to kill Nora Allen when Barry was a child."
"There is no way you can know that. Unless….."
"I hacked into your security system in your base and planted a listening device. I admit I have. But I also did it to the Green Arrow and Black Canary's base."
"Why should I trust you? Why shouldn't I have you arrested for spying on a private lab? I could my mom owns the building that the Flash and Frost use as their base."
"Well for one right now I am the only reason your father is not coming after you. I also use to be Batgirl until the Joker played a bad knock knock joke on me. I still don't know how he found out I was Batgirl."
"Why trust me with this information? I mean we only met once before."
"Caitlin, that may be true. But I know you are a good person. Besides us heroes need to stick together."
"Are you implying that Bruce Wayne might have a fetish about dressing as a giant bat?"
"I am not able to confirm nor deny that."
"That only confirms it."
"Maybe."
Just then a blast of cold air and frost hit the two women. Both turned to see Icicle standing there no longer hiding his identity. Caitlin reached into her pocket and hit her panic button that would call Barry as the Flash. She noticed that Barbara pushed a button on the side of her bat shaped ring. Caitlin took a deep breath before speaking.
"Icicle let the kids go. They are not part of this." Said Caitlin
"Very true my daughter. They can go. Well except for my granddaughter." Said Icicle
"No! Leave my daughter out of this. Besides you aren't my father. Turns out the man I believed was my father never existed. Let me guess Charlie means nothing to you because you couldn't do your sick experiment on him."
Icicle just laughed.
"That boy was always a disappointment. So glad I found away to make it right before your mother locked me up."
Just then to streaks of lightning came to a stop.
"Get the staff and visitors out of here Flash senior and Flash." Said Caitlin
Both speedsters nodded. Then in less then a minute the science center was empty except for Icicle the two speedsters, Barbara and Caitlin. Barbara was surprised to find a pair of gloves on her hands until she saw Caitlin transform into Frost who created a staff out of ice and handed it to her.
"Figured since you aren't going to run that you would need some kind of weapon. Don't worry that staff is harder then steel." Said Frost
"Wouldn't doubt it. Nice to officially meet you Frost." Said Barbara
"Later. Let's deal with this bad imitation of Cold Miser." Said Frost
Barry had to swallow a chuckle. He was really starting to love his fiancee's icy counterpar.
"Khione, my daughter join me and we can shape this world to our perfection." Said Icicle
"You just don't get it. You are not my father. You are nothing but a monster. A monster that needs to be locked up." Said Frost
"Frost, you might not want to make him mad. But you are right he does need to be locked up. He killed a friend of mine." Said Jay
"Tell me old man how did you escape? I thought Grundy killed you."
"What can I say I am faster than your pet zombie." Said Jay
"Zombie? Do we really want to know?" asked Barry
"Later kid." Said Jay
"I think we have had enough talk. Let's get this over grown popsicle and lock him up in Iron Heights or maybe hand him over to ARGUS." Said Barbara
The two speedsters took off while Frost created two ice daggers. Icicle sent an ice blast at the twin streaks of lightning at the same time Barbara and Frost attacked. While the two Flashes kept drawing Icicle's attack the two women moved closer to try and capture him. The next thing they heard was a deep menacing voice.
"Frost, Barbara look out."
The two women moved back as rope came flying hitting Icicle tying him up while sending a low level shock through him. The two speedsters came to a stop as Batman came down from a balcony that over tossing a pair of meta cuffs at Jay. Jay caught them and locked them on Icicle's wrists before he could freeze his way out of the rope.
"ARGUS will be here shortly to pick up Icicle." Said Batman
"What brings you to Central City? Last I checked you liked to work alone or just with your one hand picked sidekicks." Said Jay
"Still holding a grudge that I didn't want to be apart of the JSA? I have recently realized that you and the others were right. That sometimes you need a whole team to have your back. I was hoping that Frost and the younger Flash would like to join team I want to form." Said Batman
"Ms. Gordon did Batman just admit that he was wrong?" asked Jay
"I believe that he did." Said Barbara
"Maybe we should have this conversation else where." Said Barry
"Head back to the base. I will join you after the kids get back to school." Said Frost
"See you later. Love you and Cait." Said Barry
"We love you too Cutie." Said Frost
The two speedsters took off followed shortly by Batman and Barbara. Frost switched back to Caitlin and made her way out of the Science center as armed ARGUS agents came in to take Icicle away.
