Part 58
"Good morning Central City! I am back! Your friendly neighborhood Trickster! I have hidden a bomb on a bus or was it two? Or maybe more. Whatever it is you have one hour to find and disarm all of them or the whole city goes boom! Oh by the way if any bus stops they go boom!"
The tv screen went black. Barry and Caitlin turned to Jay who looked like he had seen a ghost.
"Jay are you ok?" asked Caitlin
"How the hell did that sociopath get out of Iron Heights?" asked Jay
"You know him?" asked Barry
"Oh yeah. Faced him a few times. Last time was only a few days after I saved Nora. Sent him to a dark corner of Iron Heights after one of his tricks killed a dozen people. He was to never see the light of day again." Said Jay
"So how do we stop him?" asked Caitlin
"Very carefully. I wouldn't put it past him to have a dead man's switch on the bombs. I promise you that there is at least one. Most likely more. I am not even sure that there will be a way to disarm the bombs. He calls himself the Trickster for a reason. He plays tricks. Takes joy in seeing people hurt or killed."
"Jay let's try and find the bombs." Said Barry
Just then Caitlin's phone rang.
"Hey Eddie. Um you know we are in the middle of something here." Said Caitlin
"Yeah I know. The Trickster. All the buses have been rerouted to Central City speedway. I suggest that you get those speedsters and anyone else that can help there."
"Eddie is the bomb squad ready to move?"
"Yeah but they can't get on those buses with them moving."
"Just tell them to be ready and to close their eyes when they feel someone grab them."
"Ok. Wait don't tell me that those speedsters are going to get them on those buses!"
"I won't. Got to go."
Barry and Jay looked at her.
"The speedway. Bomb squad is ready to get to work just can't get to them."
"Is Frost going to come out to play?" asked Barry
"Oh she is going to go teach that Joker wannabe not to mess with her city." Said Caitlin letting her cold alter ego out.
"Frost just got an alert from Oracle. Wish I knew who he was. Trickster is in Central City park." Said Cisco
"Oracle is a she. You two make sure the bombs are taken care of. If they can't be disarmed get the drivers and police out of there as fast as you can." Said Frost
Jay and Barry nodded and took off. Frost walked outside and used an ice blast to propel herself through the air to the park. She landed right in front of the Trickster.
"Well I was expecting one of the speedy boys. Though I guess the one with the shiny helmet is more of an old man than boy. But you are a lovely Ice Queen." Said Trickster
"Too bad for you I like my men sane and a bit faster then you. Oh and not old enough to be my grandfather." Said Frost
"Um Frost maybe you shouldn't insult the crazy bomber." Said Cisco over coms.
"Grandfather? No chance I got a son that is about your age."
"Your crazy ass got a woman to sleep with you? She must be as crazy as you. Poor kid never had a chance at sanity."
"Don't go talking about my boy like that! He is just like me."
"Like I said poor kid. Now do you want to do this the easy way and just go back to prison with these nice police officers or do I need to freeze your toes or fingers off?"
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. You see you do anything to harm me and I drop this little remote Sunnyside Daycare center goes bye bye with a couple dozen kiddies inside."
"Frost, don't worry about the kids. I am at the daycare and working on disarming the bomb. The kids are safe at a park down the street." Said Batman over coms.
"Got you Batty."
Frost heard a grunt over coms.
"Since when do you know Batman?" yelled Cisco
"Both Flashs and I met with him the other day after he helped send Icicle to prison where he belongs. Caity will tell you about that later."
Frost smirked at the Trickster.
"Today really isn't your day. A friend of mine got the kids to safety. So forget about that plan." Said Frost
"It is about to get worse." Said Barry as he and Jay joined her.
"Trickster game over. The bus bombs are disarmed. Time to get this guy back where he belongs." Said Jay
"You still around old man? I thought you were dead. Like all your little friends. Only wish that those Injustice guys had let me join them." Said Trickster
"You probably didn't fit one of their criteria to join." Said Frost
"Frost is right. Too much of a wild card. They already had three crazed attack dog types with Sportsmaster, Tigres and Grundy. Though with his exploding hockey pucks Sportsmaster may have liked you." Said Jay
"Senior Flash when we get done with this guy you got to tell us more about Icicle's buddies." Said Frost
"Not a problem Ms. Frost." Said Jay
Frost smirked and sent a blast of snow at the crazy man as the two Flashes took off at super speed to disarm him of the semi automatic gun he pulled out. They then cuffed him and handed him off to the police after triple checking that he didn't have anything on him. Though it was a little hard for the Trickster to hide anything on him when Barry had stripped him down to nothing but a pair of boxers. Barry grabbed Frost and then he and Jay took off for their base.
Thawne slammed his fist down. This was not what he planned. Trickster was suppose to get rid of the two speedsters. Which should have caused Frost to embrace the darkness that was apart of her. The darkness that he helped her father create in her. But Barry Allen had to open Caitlin's heart to a love that was more powerful than the darkness. Thawne had no choice now. He walked over to the safe and pulled out the box that held a black diamond. The black diamond that was the prison to one of the most evil beings to ever walk the Earth. He opened the box and picked up the diamond.
"Soon Eclipso you will be free to destroy the Earth and those that imprisoned you."
"Yes soon I will have my revenge. So will you Eobard." Said Eclipso
Ok I admit I had a little fun writing this part. I could just see Frost doing that kind of banter with Trickster. Plus we already know that Barry in his early days had no problem with stripping someone down to their underware. On another note I will be bringing up how the JSA defeated Eclipso in the Stargirl universe in a couple of chapters. So be warned there will be spoilers in Chapter 60 for Stargirl season 2 episode 9. I will also be including elements from the DC Rebirth comics Justice League vs Suicide Squad comics but not following that plotline at all. Just how Eclipso was defeated in that mini series.
