Jay walked into The Pit Stop auto shop he smiled as he watched Pat Duggan work on a giant robot.
"Still working on mechanical things I see. Though that is a long way from the car you drove Starman around in Stripsey."
Pat nearly fell from the ladder he was on.
"Hey be careful Pat. Don't need you to crack your head open." Said Jay
Pat climbed down and walked over to the older hero.
"Jay? Are you real? How are you alive?" asked Pat
"Very real. Let's just say that I was able to out run the ISA. By the way Icicle is locked up in a ARGUS prison he won't be able to get out of."
"Good. He can now pay for killing Sylvester."
"That is not why I am here. I am here to find out if you still have the cosmic staff and know of anyone that can control it."
"Actually my stepdaughter Courtney was chosen by it. Why?"
"Someone is very close to releasing Eclipso."
"Jay, I don't know what your new team has planned. But I will not be apart of the way it was handled by the JSA again. You know Sylvester forced me to drive him that night."
"I remember. But it is not going to be that way this time. Batman has a plan."
"I thought he didn't want to be part of a team?"
"Well apparently hell froze over. He changed his mind. He is trying to put together put together a league of heroes. He is in Central City to recruit my nephew and soon to be niece in law. Who by the way turns out is Icicle's daughter. Don't hold that against her though. She is nothing like her father. Ice powers aside."
"Jay, you trust her that is enough for me. If Eclipso really is back then you are going to need all the help you can get. I will call Courtney and have her call her friends. The new JSA. She has someone who has taken up Wildcat's mantel as well as Dr. Midnight. We also have Hourman's son. He has his father's hourglass."
"Rick?"
"You knew about him?"
"I knew about most of the JSA's kids. I have a daughter a bit older than Rick. She is in college. My nephew is the new Flash you might have heard about."
"Strip here can fly and I can carry a the kids. Well Courtney will probably want to fly on the staff."
"Well you will just have to follow me then."
Pat called Courtney and twenty minutes later the four teens that made up the new JSA arrived ready to go. Then the six of them took off for Central City.
Caitlin and Barry walked into the warehouse that Bruce told them to meet at. They were surprised that it looked more like a meeting hall then a warehouse. Bruce had been planning this for a while. In fact regardless if they decided to join his league or not this was where they would meet. On the outskirts of Central City.
"Wow this is impressive." Said Caitlin
"Well this has been in planning for a while." Said Barbara
"So are you two going to join the Justice League?" asked Bruce
"Well I am in. You do know that it is more Frost's choice then Caitlin's." said Barry
"Well cutie good thing you made the right choice or I might have had to give you brain freeze for being an idiot." Said Frost taking over for a second.
"Sorry that was Frost's way of saying she is in." said Caitlin
Just then Superman, Supergirl and Martian Manhunter walked in. Clark was surprised to see Bruce in his bat suit without the cowl on.
"Wait, Kal you knew Bruce Wayne is Batman?" asked Kara
"Yes. But it was not my secret to tell." Said Clark
"I understand that."
"So Bruce you going to tell us why you called?" asked Clark
"Once everyone is here. J'onn nice to see you decided to join us." Said Bruce
"I came because I promised Supergirl's adoptive father I would look out for her." Said J'onn
"Ms. Danvers nice to meet you. Before you ask just like your cousin here glasses don't really work as a disguise if you pay attention." Said Bruce
"Well I might have to work on it then." Said Kara
Barry and Caitlin walked over to the group just then.
"Hi we haven't met. I'm Caitlin Snow also known as Frost. This is my fiancee Barry Allen the younger of the two Flashes." Said Caitlin
"Kara Danvers also known as Supergirl." Said Kara
"Clark Kent also known as Superman." Said Clark
"J'onn J'onzz the last son of Mars." Said J'onn
"Nice to meet you." Said Barry
"So how do you know Bruce Wayne Clark?" asked Caitlin
"We have worked together a couple of times. Let me guess he wants you to join his Justice League." Said Clark
"Yeah. We decided to join." Said Barry
"Then we look forward to getting to know you and working with both of you." Said Clark
"Have you picked a wedding date yet?" asked Kara noticing Caitlin's engagement ring.
"No we just got engaged in the last couple of days. Though we were together back in our senior year of high school until about eight years ago. We had a misunderstanding that involved someone that set out to sabotage our relationship. But we got back together two years ago. We have two kids together. A seven and a half year old daughter and a nine month old son." Said Caitlin
"Well I hope we can meet them once we take care of whatever it is that this billionaire playboy wants us too." Said Kara
"Lyla, I don't trust these people! I don't know them."
They all turned to see Oliver Queen walking in with Laurel Lance as well as Lyla Michaels. They also recognized Oliver's sister Thea plus two others they didn't know. Not far behind them was Jay with a man plus four teenagers.
"Good we are all here. Unfortunately I was not able to get in touch with Green Lantern or Aquaman. But we may not need them." Said Bruce
"What are we dealing with Bruce?" asked Laurel
"Ms. Michaels you did not fill them in?" asked Bruce
"Well I thought it best to do it all at once. Though Pat Duggan and Jay Garrick Allen know this threat a little better then I do. I only know what I read in the file. What I will tell you is that the Diablo diamond was stolen from one of the ARGUS vaults. The vaults hold some of the most dangers items we have found." Said Lyla
"The Diablo diamond or black diamond is the prison for a being known as Eclipso. He is not human. From what the JSA learned about him years ago he is pure evil. He has the ability to possess people. He can make you see anything he wants. He can make you live your worse nightmare. The JSA faced him once and did stop him. Reimprisoned him in the diamond. His defeat drove us apart. One of our enemies known as the Shade told Starman the only way he knew of to defeat Eclipso was to kill the host. Starman, Wildcat, Hourman, Pat and I voted on weather to do it or not. Pat and I were the only ones against it. I wanted nothing to do with it so I walked away. Pat being Starman's driver was forced to go." Said Jay
"I waited in the car while Hourman, Starman and Wildcat went and killed a man named Bruce Gordon who Eclipso had possessed. But it cost them all something. That choice drove a wedge between all the members of the JSA. That is why the ISA was able to defeat them. They were no longer a team. Just a group of individuals fighting the same fight."
"I will not be apart of killing anyone." Said Kara
Most of the other heroes nodded in agreement. Oliver was the only one who seemed to be willing to kill if it came to that.
"I have a plan that doesn't involve killing anyone. Barbara helped me do some research. Eclipso has one big weakness. That is sunlight. He will most likely manipulate the weather. Create a storm to bring darkness that fuels his power. But if we blast him with enough solar power it should weaken him and send him back into the diamond. This plan involves having Ms. Snow create a prism out of ice and either one or both of our Kryptonians using their heat vision send it through the prism intensifying it." Said Bruce
"Cait can you do that?" asked Barry
"Shouldn't be any different than making icicles to fight with. But what I am worrying about is being able to maintain it. My powers work by drawing out the heat around me and cooling it." Said Caitlin
"That is where the rest of us come in. We each let you draw some of our body heat so you can maintain it." Said Bruce
"Are you able to do that with out hurting anyone?" asked Pat
"Should be able too. I mean I can't promise you won't get a mild case of frostbite. But nothing that will cause you to lose you fingers or toes." Said Caitlin
The meeting continued working out more of the details.
