Part 63
Caitlin woke slowly to the sound of a heart monitor softly beeping. She woke to find not only Barry but Kara sitting by her side. She looked around expecting to find a hospital room or maybe even the medical room at her base with Barry.
"Bare?" asked Caitlin
"Welcome back sweetie." Said Barry
"Where am I?"
"In the medical room at the hall. You passed out after we stopped Eclipso. We thought, I thought we might lose you. You spent way too much energy. But Kara and Clark fed you energy until you stabilize. That was nearly a day ago." Said Barry
"Why Kara? You just met me?" asked Caitlin turning to the blond hero.
"Why wouldn't we? Caitlin without you we might not have been able to stop that monster. I mean nearly everyone is still here waiting to find out if you were going to recover. Kal and I took turns feeding you the energy you need. I mean all we need to recharge is Earth's yellow sun. Bruce has a room set up with sun lamps. So it was no big deal. I am going to leave the two of you alone and tell everyone you are awake."
Caitlin watched the blond leave. Then turned to the man she loves.
"Where are our kids?" asked Caitlin
"My mom is watching them. Crystal was told that you were helping to take care of Frost who was hurt in the last battle." Said Barry
"Some day she is going to find out the truth."
"I know but not until she is older."
"True. So who is the doctor that looked me over?"
"The only one my son would trust with the mother of his children. Though neither Bruce Wayne or Oliver Queen are happy I am here." Said Henry walking in.
"Well too bad. If they wanted their own doctor here they should have brought them." Said Barry
"Actually Bruce just has Alfred his butler patch him up when needed. Oliver just has Diggle patch him up. Diggle has field medic training from his army days." Said Laurel from the door.
"Hey Laurel." Said Caitlin
"Must say you are looking a lot better then you did at the end of the battle. But I got to ask. Why couldn't Eclipso take over you Caitlin? The rest of us had a hard time fighting his mental attack off." Said Laurel
"Because rather then focus on the darkness and fear I had. I focused on the light. All the good in my life. My love for my children and Barry. On all the people that love me. All he found when he looked inside of me was hope." Said Caitlin
"Which is what makes you a hero." Said Bruce
"Let me look over my patient everyone get out." Said Henry
Barry kissed Caitlin on her forehead and left with the others.
"So how do you feel?" asked Henry
"Tired. But other than that ok." Said Caitlin
"Well everything looks good. As long as you promise to rest tonight I will let Barry take you home. But Nora and I are going to keep the kids. So you don't have to worry about them."
"Thanks. What about the hospital? What were they told?"
"That your mom was in an accident and you went to make sure that she is ok. Your mom agreed to cover if it is necessary."
"Good. Any word on Iris?"
"She is still unconscious with guards from ARGUS outside her room. Lyla is going to have her transferred to an ARGUS black site as soon as the doctors clear her."
Caitlin nodded. Both Caitlin and Henry looked over when there was a knock on the door. They saw Pat standing there.
"The kids and I need to get back to Blue Valley. They have school tomorrow and I need to update my wife on what happened." Said Pat
"Of course." Said Caitlin
"The kids do want to say goodbye." Said Pat
"Let them in." said Henry
"Pat make sure you leave your address and a phone number. Barry and I would love if you, your family and the JSA come to our wedding when we set a date." Said Caitlin
"Well as long as we don't have to save Blue Valley from something I am sure we will be able to make it." Said Pat
"Of course saving your city and the world come first. But if you ever need help you know Barry, Jay and I will be there in a Flash." Said Caitlin
Both Henry and Pat groaned at her pun. Henry then left after telling Caitlin not to over due it. The four teens then walked in.
"Thanks for coming." Said Caitlin
"No problem. I mean we got to team up with some of our favorite heroes. By the way can I get Frost's autograph?" asked Courtney
"Yeah too bad that we can never tell anyone that we actually know any of you. I mean Frost, Supergirl and Black Canary are the best." Said Beth
"I actually like Superman and Batman more though meeting two Flashes is cool too." Said Rick
Caitlin smiled at the teens. After saying goodbye Pat and the four teens left. It wasn't long after that the rest of the heroes went on their way. When the only ones left were Barry, Bruce and Barbara the two from Gotham started to pack up their things so they could head home.
"So you two heading home?" asked Barbara
"Yeah I think Cait would like to sleep in our bed rather than this one." Said Barry
"Well you have our contact information so if you need anything don't be afraid to call." Said Barbara
"You do the same. Though I get the feeling that Bruce admitting he can't handle something on his own is like pulling teeth." Said Barry
"It is. Or going ten rounds with Killer Crock." Said Barbara
"Remind me not to visit when he is on the lose." Said Caitlin
"Uh yeah Cait is not a big fan of reptiles." Said Barry
"Of course. Let us know when you set a date for the wedding. We will try and make it. Though don't be surprised if Bruce were to come with a reformed cat burglar. He and Selena Kyle are kind of dating."
"Wait Batman and Catwoman are dating?" asked Barry
"Yes."
"Bare that is not too surprising I mean you and I are together and our powers are opposites." Said Caitlin
"Very true. I love you Caitlin Snow."
"I love you Barry Allen."
