Part 65

Barry and Caitlin made their way around their reception greeting their guests. They smiled as the reach the table that the members of the JSA were at. Pat stood as the happy couple approached.

"Hi guys so glad that you could make it." Said Caitlin

"We wouldn't have miss it. By the way this is my wife Barbara and son Mike." Said Pat

"Nice to meet you both. Courtney who is your friend?" said Barry

"This is Cameron Mahkent." Said Courtney

"Hi. Courtney said that Barry is the nephew of an old friend of Mr. Dugan's." said Cameron

"Yeah he knows my Uncle Jay. They worked together years ago." Said Barry

"I also know that Caitlin, you are my sister. Dad when I saw him talked about you. I think that you were the one that he really cared about." Said Cameron

"Cameron, it is good to meet you. I look forward to getting to know you. I will come to Blue Valley and spend time with you. You also have an older brother named Charlie and a bunch of nieces and nephews who I am sure would love to get to know you." Said Caitlin

"That would be great. Uh dad's parents are still alive. I have been staying with them. I kinda wish I could get out on my own though."

"We might be able to arrange something we know some good lawyers." Said Barry

"Thanks."

"We will talk more when Barry and I come to Blue Valley." Said Caitlin

"Cool."

"By the way Cameron, my family, the people I love can call me Cait."

Cameron smiled as the couple walked away. Barry and Caitlin moved on to the next table where Kara and Clark were seated. J'onn had declined the invite saying that someone had to be on standby in case the villains didn't take the night off.

"Congratulations Barry and Caitlin." Said Kara hugging both of them.

"Thanks Kara. No date?" asked Caitlin

"Nope. I just haven't met my mister right yet." Said Kara

"Well your cousin finally came to his senses so I am sure you will find him. By the way I am Lois Lane. Smallville's girlfriend."

"Nice to meet you Lois. So what is with the nickname?" asked Barry

"I grew up in Smallville. Lois likes to tease me about it sometimes." Said Clark

"So are you enjoying yourselves?" asked Caitlin

"Very much. Is there anyway that I will be able to get an interview with Central City's two heroes?" asked Lois

Barry looked at Kara and Clark with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah she knows. My cousin doesn't know how to keep a secret from her since they started sleeping together." Said Kara

"Kara that is way too much information for any of us. By the way I am Kara's sister Alex Danvers. No I am not a Kryptonian my parents adopted her after she came to Earth."

"More like when Kal dumped me on them. But I get he just wanted me to have a normal life for as long as possible." Said Kara

"Alex we are glad you could come." Said Barry

"Thank you for letting me come." Said Alex

"If Kara trusts you that is good enough for us." Said Caitlin

Barry and Caitlin turned to the others seated with the super cousins and their guests. Barbara Gordon just smiled at the happy couple.

"Well I hope that some day I can find the kind of love you two did. Like so many have." Said Barbara

"I am sure you will. You just need to be patient. Don't forget that it took Cait and me a while to work things out." Said Barry

"Yeah well you also don't have a boss that thinks he should be my over protective brother. A brother I don't want or need." Said Barbara

"I do. When I believed that Barry cheated on me and told Charlie he wanted to kill Barry. It took both me and Erin to stop him." Said Caitlin

"I care about you Barbara. Besides I feel like I owe you for not protecting you from the broken heart Dick caused you." Said Bruce

"Bruce, Dick made the choice to cheat. I never blamed you." Said Barbara

"Bruce, you need to stop worrying about her. Joker may have taken her ability to walk. But she can still beat the crap out of losers who try to take advantage of her. Selena Kyle by the way."

"Nice to meet you Ms. Kyle." Said Barry

"Oh don't worry Flashy. I am not going to rob anything while I am in town. The only one that scares me more than Star City's Robin Hood wannabe is your new wife. Cat burglars and ice don't mix well." Said Selena

"As long as you stay out of trouble Frost will leave you alone. One thing I know about you is even at your worst you would never harm a child. So as long as you don't hurt my kids Frost won't try and freeze or toes off. Cause even if you do really have the reflexes of a cat. Without toes you won't be able to land on your feet." Said Caitlin

"I like you. Too bad we are both into hot men. Or we could be quite a pair." Said Selena

"Um yeah thanks for coming. See you around." Said Barry pulling Caitlin off.

Once they were out of ear shot Caitlin began to giggle.

"What are you laughing at?" asked Barry

"You are so cute when you get jealous. You do know that I am not now or ever been attracted to a women. Besides I think that Selena only has eyes for a billionaire that likes to dress up as a bat. Besides you are the only one that turns me on."

"How long do we need to hang around here again?"

"A while yet. But don't worry we will have two weeks on that private island that Bruce arranged our honeymoon on. Nothing but sun, sand and maybe adding to our family."

"Don't forget the Mai Tais."

"You can't get drunk."

"True but you can and that is the only way that you will sing for me."

"Don't be so sure. Ever since Frost woke up alcohol doesn't seem to have the same effect on me."

"Well that kind of sucks."

"Let's go say hi to our friends from Star City."

Barry kissed Caitlin then they went over and greeted the members of team Arrow.

Caitlin was sipping a glass of wine watching as Barry danced with Nora. When someone cleared their throat. She looked up to see Henry standing in front of her.

"May I have a dance with my daughter in law?" asked Henry

"Of course dad." Said Caitlin

Henry broke into a big smile. Offered his hand to Caitlin. She place her glass down and let him lead her out to the dance floor.

"Caitlin, do you realize how happy Nora and I that you came back? Not just because you brought us a beautiful and smart granddaughter. But because we always saw you as family from the day Barry first brought you home. You were this heartbroken young lady. Let's face it you weren't like other ten year old girls. You were fairly grown up. But I watched you become this warm and caring woman. We love you Caitlin."

"I love you and Nora. You showed me what it was like to have warm caring parents. I know my mom loves me. But it was not easy growing up with her being so detached."

"She just didn't know how to cope with the lost of who she believed was the love of her life. Barry was pretty bad off when you left. But he never blamed you. He blamed himself."

"I know. I was glad you all forgave me."

"There was nothing to forgive."

Henry pulled Caitlin tighter to him hugging her. Near the end of the night Caitlin threw her bouquet. Thea Queen caught it causing Roy to look like a deer in headlights and a glare from Oliver.
