Part 66

Two years later

Nine and a half year old Crystal walked into the house after school. She dropped her backpack on the floor and went to the family room and sat on the couch with Snowbarry. Her three year old brother Kris was watching Beebo on tv. It was only a few minutes later that her mom came in with one of the year old twins on each hip. The twins were Nicole and Andy.

"What happened at school?" asked Caitlin

"Nothing." Said Crystal

"Crystal Nora Allen. You know better then to lie to me."

"Zack said that Superman is better then either Flash or Frost."

Caitlin smiled and put the twins on the floor. She then sat next to her daughter pulling her close.

"Honey, it is ok that Zack likes Superman better than Flash and Frost. It is his opinion. Just like it's your opinion that Flash and Frost are the best heroes." Said Caitlin

"I know but he thinks it is lame I like them."

Let me teach that little brat for calling my kid lame. I don't give a damn that he don't like me. But no one calls my kid lame for liking me or Flashy. Caitlin ignored Frost's voice inside her head.

"Honey, did you tell your teacher?"

"Mrs. Dawson let's Zack say what he wants. She is friends with his mom."

"I see. I will talk to her tomorrow and if she will not put an end to his calling you names I will go to the principal."

"Thanks mom."

"Honey, I know that you have a hard time at times with the other kids. I didn't have a lot of friends when I was your age."

"Cause you were so smart right? Did it get easier when you met dad?"

"Not really. But as an adult I have made a lot of friends. Now how about you and Snowbarry keep an eye on your brothers and sister so I can go start dinner?"

"Ok mom."

Caitlin kissed her daughter then headed into the kitchen. She pulled out her phone and made a call.

"Hey Caitlin everything ok in Central City?" asked Clark

"Nothing we can't handle. But I need a favor."

"What can I do for you?"

"Well it is more what Superman can do. There is this little boy that is picking on Crystal for thinking that Flash and Frost are cooler then Superman."

"I know where you are going. You want Superman to pay him a visit and tell him that Central City's duo are his favorite heroes to team up with and he would not have been able to beat some of his enemies without them."

"Would it be a lie? I mean could you have beaten Metello without us?"

"No. Not with his Kryptonite heart Kara and I could have both been killed by him."

"So you will do it right?"

"Of course. Besides if I don't Lois will nag me about it for years."

"I am sure it won't be that bad. Well I will let you know when to come by the school."

"No problem. Don't forget you need help with taking anyone down let me know. I will due the same I know you and Barry can be here in a Flash."

"You got to stop hanging around with my husband. That was a bad pun. But I might have Kara or Jesse pick up Lois for a girls night sometime soon."

"That is never good when all you girls get together."

Caitlin laughed as she hung up the phone. She had been glad when between Barbara Gordon, Felicity Oliver's tech support, Winn Schott Kara's friend and tech support and Cisco they had been able to make it so the members of the Justice League could talk openly on the phone without having to worry about anyone listening in. It also made it easier for her to talk more openly with Cameron after his powers became active. She had trained him how to use them and he joined Courtney and the other members of the JSA which Jay's daughter Jesse also joined after learning to use her speed. Cameron was using the code name Freeze wanting nothing to do with the name Icicle. Jesse was just called Quick. Pat's son Mike was now the driver of the Stripe robot with Pat just acting as advisor to the young team. Caitlin was cutting vegetables for a salad when she felt a pair of arms wrap around her. She smirked.

"You better be my husband or you will regret putting your hands on me." Said Caitlin

"I don't know I kind of like when you get Frosty." Said Barry

Caitlin rolled her eyes put the knife down and turned to face her husband. Barry then leaned down and kissed her. Caitlin wrapped her arms around him and kissed him back.

"How was work?" asked Caitlin

"You mean other then Julian telling Patty that she is making too many trips to the ladies room?"

"Isn't Patty nearly eight months pregnant?"

"Yeah with twins. I am beginning to think that someone put something in the water in this part of the state. I mean Erin, you. Ronnie's wife Caroline now Patty and I think two of the other guys at the station have wives pregnant with twins."

"Julian really has no clue what it is like to have not only one baby but two sitting on his bladder."

"You told me it felt like our twins were playing soccer with your bladder."

"It does feel that way. Barry, Clark is going to stop by town in the next couple days. Or I should say Superman. That little punk Zack is making fun of Crystal because she likes Flash and Frost more then Superman."

"So Superman is going to come and tell that little punk that he could never have stopped Metello without our help."

"Yep. I am also going to talk with Ms. Dawson. She lets Zack do whatever he wants because she is friends with his mom."

"Too bad Jessica only teaches second grade."

"I know. She never lets anyone get away with making fun of anyone. She learned from her own mistakes."

"Yeah she did. I wish that Iris had."

"But she didn't though she did not deserve to have that monster take her over."

"True. Did you get the message from Lyla?"

"That Iris has died. Yeah. We knew that if she didn't come out of the coma she most likely would. How are Joe and Wally taking it?"

"About as well as expected. Joe had hoped she would wake up a better person. But that didn't happen."

"What about you Barry? Iris was your friend at one time?"

"While I am sad she died. It is not as hard as I thought it would be. She ended any hope of fixing our friendship when she drove you away."

"We can talk more about this after the kids go to bed."

"I was hoping that we could do other things after they go to bed."

"Not happening Flash."

"Really? Come on Cait!"

"In case you forgot that is how we ended up with the twins who by the way already show signs of having the speed force in them!"

"Yeah I know. Didn't you test Crystal and say she has the same cryogenic abnormality that you and Cameron have?"

"Yeah I don't think her powers will activate until after she goes through puberty though."

"Great. A moody teenager with ice powers. That is going to be so much fun."

Caitlin just laughed.

"Go get the kids. Dinner is ready."

"Yes ma'am."

Five minutes later they sat down to dinner.
