Part 67
Caitlin walked across the school parking lot with Crystal after dropping her three youngest off to spend the day with their grandma Nora.
"Mom, you know you don't have to walk in with me. I mean the other kids already think I am a geek. Not that there is anything wrong with that. But I don't want them to think I am a baby." Said Crystal
"I am going to talk to your teacher. I am not going to put up with anyone getting away with bullying my child." Said Caitlin
Caitlin walked into the school with Crystal following. Jessica Lewis watched from outside the door to her classroom as Caitlin walked by. She smirked a little. Nancy Dawson was going to be in for a big surprise. Caitlin Snow-Allen was no longer the same girl she joined Iris in terrorizing as a kid. Zack Mash knew better then to try bullying in her class. But Nancy being friends with Cassie who helped Iris the most with everything saw nothing wrong with being a bully.
"Jessica, Nancy is about to meet the new and improved Caitlin isn't she?" asked Jacob Carter a fellow teacher and Jessica's boyfriend.
"Oh yeah and trust me she is no push over." Said Jessica
"Yeah well I heard a rumor that Caitlin is close with our city's heroes. Which means the rest of the Justice League would not be far behind."
"That is for sure."
Caitlin walked into Crystal's classroom and was not surprised to find her teacher laughing with Cassie Rodgers well now Cassie Marsh.
"I should have known that Zack was your son Cassie. He is a bully just like you." Said Caitlin
"Not my fault that your brat can't take being teased just like you." Said Cassie
"Yeah Caitlin, it is harmless." Said Nancy Dawson
"It is not harmless! Do you have any idea how many kids have come into the hospital emergency room in the last year because they tried to kill themselves because of being teased? Or how many actually did die because no one found them in time? Do you not realize that almost all those school shootings on the news are the result of kids being made fun of?" asked Caitlin
"That is not true." Said Nancy
"So you are just going to let my daughter be made fun of?" asked Caitlin
"Yeah it is no big deal. Might give her a backbone." Said Nancy
Just then Superman came into the classroom. Not believing what he had heard.
"Superman! You are the coolest!" yelled Zack
"I heard that you were making fun of Crystal here because she likes two of my closest friends. The Flash and Frost. You should know they have saved my life more then once." Said Superman
"Uh I didn't mean it!" said Zack
"I think you did. Ms. Snow-Allen if you need me for anything let me know. As for you Crystal, I think the Flash and Frost are a lot cooler then me. In fact no one is cooler then Frost." Said Superman
"Superman, you are my fourth favorite hero. Your cousin Supergirl is my third. Flash and Frost are tied for first." Said Crystal
"As long as I am higher then Batman on your list I am fine with it."
"Cool." Said Crystal
Superman left and Caitlin glared at two of her former bullies. Before turning and leaving the room with Crystal right behind her. After talking to the principal Caitlin took Crystal to Nora's before heading to the clinic that she now worked at with Henry. Bruce had donated the money to open the Central City clinic for the uninsured. He covered most of the cost and paid the staff. With the clinic only asking the patients to pay what they could. Caitlin walked into the break room to find Henry drinking a cup of coffee.
"I take it, it did not go well at Crystal's school." Said Henry
"Let's just say it took everything I had not to let Frost ice Crystal's teacher. I did talk to the principal but he said there wasn't much he can do. It is Crystal's word against Ms. Dawson. I am going to talk to Barry. I think we might need to look into a different school." Said Caitlin
"You know that Nora and I will do whatever you need us to do to help."
"I know. So will my mom."
"I know. Caitlin, you don't ever have to worry. You have a lot of people that love you."
"I know Henry. I think that we should get to work."
"You are right."
Barry walked into his house to find the kids and dog in the family room a movie playing.
"Crystal where is your mom?" asked Barry
"Upstairs. It didn't go well at school." Said Crystal
"I will go talk to her. You will keep an eye on your brothers and sister?"
"Yeah dad. I don't think mom had anything planned for dinner."
"I will take care of it."
"Dad, I don't think mom wants me to go back to that school."
"It will be ok honey."
"I know dad. Just go take care of mom."
"Love you sweetheart."
"Love you dad."
Barry went up to his and Caitlin's room and found his wife laying on the bed.
"Crystal said it didn't go well." Said Barry
"It didn't."
"I'm sorry."
"Not your fault. Turns out that little brat is the son of one of Iris's friends and her teacher is another one of them."
"What about the principal?"
"He is taking the word of Ms. Dawson over our daughter. I don't want her to go back to that school."
"Cait we will work things out. Besides it is not like we can't afford to send our kids to private school if we need to. Harrison Wells for some unknown reason named me as his heir. We are millionaires. I am still figuring out what to due with Star Labs."
"You could reopen it. I mean if you don't want to run it yourself you can hire someone. You know Bruce would help you find the right person."
"True. I knew there was a reason I loved you."
"Love you Barry."
"Now how about I go get us some pizza. Those kids of ours do need to eat."
"You are the best."
Barry kissed Caitlin then headed out to get dinner.
It was decided that seeing as there were only two months left in the school year that Crystal would finish the year in home school. But Barry and Caitlin set up everything so that she would be enrolled in the fall at Central City Academy. One of the top non religious schools in the city. They actually found that on top of the zero tolerance bullying policy the school had. It actually encouraged students that were gifted in learning to go at a faster pace if they wanted. Crystal they knew got bored sometimes at school now. In fact they would end up sending all of their kids there. Of course the life of a super hero was never calm for long. Between meta criminals and regular normal human criminals both Flash and Frost were kept busy and that didn't factor in that an alien would show up from time to time. Or the fact that Lex Luthor had declared an all out war on not only aliens but metahumans. But so far the Justice League had been able to stop all his plans. The only real trouble they had run into was Grodd an eight hundred pound telepathic meta gorilla. That wanted to enslave humanity and kill the Justice League because he held them responsible for the death of the man he considered his father. Though they were not responsible. Eobard Thawne had been killed by Eclipso. But there was no explaining that to Grodd. Though for the moment he was locked away in some ARGUS prison along with King Shark, a man that had somehow become part shark when the particle accelerator exploded. No one was able to figure that one out. The only other trouble they had was when Crystal and then the twins developed powers as they hit puberty. Crystal took after her mom with icy powers. While the twins were both speedsters like their dad. While Kris didn't have powers like his siblings he had a knack for computers. In fact Barbara Gordon had started to train him to be a hacker. They told him the truth about who his biological father was when he asked when he was thirteen. That was also the day that Kris told them that Barry was his real father not so dick of a dead ex cop that beat on his mom. It was when Kris was seventeen that he came out to his parents as gay. Not that it mattered to them. Though Caitlin knew deep down that if Richard had still been alive he would not have accepted his son being gay and thrown him out of the house. All Barry and she did was set the same rules they had when Crystal had started dating for him. That while he could have his boyfriend over it was not to be when they weren't home and could never be alone in his room with him and the door closed. Which he understood and agreed to. For the most part everything was good for them. Barry did ended up leaving CCPD to run Star Labs once they were able to get all the government restrictions lifted. Though the particle accelerator was never going to operational again. Not that after what happened the first time Barry had any desire to turn the thing on again. Both Barry and Caitlin felt life was complete when they held their first grandchild when Crystal gave birth to her son a year after she married. She had named her son after her grandfather. Henry Allen had been honored that he got to meet his great grandson that was named for him. He and Nora had both lived into their nineties. Carla unfortunately passed away before little Henry was born. But did see two great grandchildren from Charlie's kids.
