…A blue camero is speeding down the highway. Suddenly out of nowhere a huge semi truck appears coming in the opposite direction. The camero collides head on with the semi truck...
"Mom!" screamed Lulu.
Lulu woke up from her nightmare. For the past three months her dreams had been haunted with blue cameros and semi trucks. Lulu had often had such nightmares about ever possible case senaro that could have happened.
Lulu's mom had been missing for three months. She had gone away on a business trip and never returned.
As Lulu lay in bed thinking of these things she bagan to sob. Her mind searched frantically for even the smallest shread of a happy nightmare but she could find none. The past three months had drained her of even the slightest memory of a happy event. It had been full of police and trips down to the sight where the police had found her mothers car but no body. She had searched time and time again for even the smallest trace of the mother she loved but had never found any.
Lulu had had hope that maybe her mother lived she thought that maybe she had hitched a ride or found a home somewhere else or... the possibilities where numerous. So she still held on to a thread of possiblitiy that her mom was still alive. But with each disappointment that thread was slowly unraveling.
When Lulu had finally reached the bottom of her bottomless jar of tears she fell into a exhausted sleep.
Lulu woke up from her long night with big black circles under her eyes. As she slowly threw on her school uniform, she thought about the day her mother had disappeared. Her mom had received notice that she was needed in Mexico. Her mom sighed when she received this news but dutifully started packing her clothes. When she received a second notice that the trip would be 2 weeks long she dropped to the ground in amazement. She spent as much time as she could withher family for the rest of that week. She seemed happy enough but Lulu could tell that she was dreading her business trip. On the day of her mom's departure Lulu tried to hold back her tears untill her mom had left. As soon as her mom had backed her blue camero out of their driveway. Lulu had burst into to tears.
1 and 1/2 weeks later they recieved a call from the police wanting to know if they knew a Mrs. Cassandra Sanaweitz. After they found out as much as they could about the missing person they started searching but could never find a clue.
Lulu finished tying her shoe laces and ran out the door to board her bus.
