In Greenland, inside of a S.H.I.E.L.D. prison that was hidden inside of a mountain,
Inside large room, and in there, was Red X, Black Velocity and Garnet Toycross, as they were standing before a large glass tank in the centre of the room, as there was Kyoya Tategami, Reese's other son and A-Bomb's older brother.
After the tank was drained of the green water that was inside, the glass then retracts into the floor, leaving the floor that Kyoya was standing on, where it was.
Kyoya gave Red X, Garnet and Black Velocity an angered scowl, as Red X inspects the small drips of water on Kyoya.
"Cellular paralysis biofluid, amazing that it was enough to stop the unstoppable." Red X said, as he knew that water was what kept Kyoya in a comatose state.
As Black Velocity used his super speed to move around Kyoya, removing his restances, as they fall to the ground, with the large chains attacted to them, they made a loud slamming sound when they hit the floor.
"You'll regain full mobility in a few minutes, once the biofluid is completely expelled from your system." Red X explained to Kyoya, as he takes out and places some clothes on the ground, in-front of Kyoya.
"And after that, we'll sneak you outta this prison where, now who was it that locked you in here (?) Oh yes, your adopted mother, Reese Drake," Black Velocity told Kyoya, reminding him of who locked him in this prison.
Kyoya then gritted his teeth a bit, while he growls with rising anger, after hearing Reese's name being said.
"Ooo, touchy subject (?)" Black Velocity joked, while Garnet had an worried look on her face, feeling that making jokes to a guy like this was a bad idea.
"Who... are you?" Kyoya asked them, wanting to know who they are and why there were breaking him out.
"Think of us as well-wishers, you see, our employer is aware of what Dr. Drake did to you, and he found it extremely harsh that she would toss her son in prison, even if you are her adopted son and not blood, it's still deplorable of what she did to you. So he sent us to free you from here, so you can have a well-deserved chat with the dear doctor." Red X explained to Kyoya, saying that Taskmaster sent them here to free him from prison.
Black Velocity then rans and grabs the clothes on the ground, as he then ran around Kyoya, making a small tornado, before he stops, revealing Kyoya was now wearing the clothes.
Kyoya was wearing a green coat with ripped-off sleeves on a tatty, torn black shirt that's ends above his belly button, he also wears a brown belt, brown fingerless gloves, brown boots and beige pants, he also wear a round pendant around his neck.
Kyoya looked at his new clothing, before glaring back at the Vanguards, "And I'm guessing you want something from me." Kyoya told them, knowing that they wanted something in exchange for freeing him.
But Black Velocity shook his head in disagreement, "No, no, no, you've got it all wrong, bub, we're doing this out of the goodness of our hearts." He tells him, in an innocent tone of voice.
Kyoya narrowed his eyes at them, as he wasn't convinced there wasn't a catch to it. "And... my mother..?" He asked, having a feeling that Reese was a part of some kind of vendetta with their employer.
Red X then walked around Kyoya, while putting his right index finger on Kyoya's right shoulder and playfully drags it across his shoulder, then to the back of his neck, before reaching his left shoulder and playfully removes his finger.
"We leave her in your delicate hands." Red X told Kyoya, as he and Taskmaster didn't care what he does to Reese.
Black Velocity turned around and faced the door, "Now, we've got a jet outside, it'll take us to-" Black Velocity was cut off,
When Kyoya walked up to Black Velocity, grabbing him by his left shoulder, in his right hand, and with a strong shove, Kyoya tosses Black Velocity to the side, out of his way, and Black Velocity slams into the wall and drops to the floor.
Garnet stood there shocked, as she watches Kyoya walk towards the door,
"Let's get one thing straight, no one takes me anywhere, I go where I want." Kyoya told them, in a threating tone, as he reaches the door, and then delivers a right punch to it, smashing it and breaking it down, as he walks on it, leaving the room.
And leaving the Vanguards there, as they watched Kyoya leave,
Garnet turned to face Red X and had a confused face, "Uh, shouldn't we go after him?" She asked, if they should stop Kyoya from leaving.
Black Velocity gets back up, while Red X had a calm look in his eyes as he looked at Garnet, "Taskmaster told us to free Kyoya, he didn't say anything about bringing him to him." He tells her,
As Garnet turned to the smashed down door, with a worried look on her face of what they've now unleashed…
A few days later,
At the Triskelion Island, it was the middle of the day,
Inside the building, in the training room,
Agent Venom and Blue Beetle was doing some training, as they were pitted against a large number of combat droids.
"YAH!" Agent Venom yelled out, as he throws his right fist and punches a droid, smashing it and sending it plowing through the other droid, until it hits and smashes into the wall.
Blue Beetle held up both his hands, and they transform into two large hammers, and he jumps up, performing a spin as he swings his hammer hands together and smashes a head off a droid, before he stops spinning and swings his right hammer down and smashes another droid's head, destroy it, Blue Beetle then lands on the floor, where he transforms his right hammer back into a hand, but it was much larger, he balled his large right hand into a fist and he delivers a powerful uppercut, punching a droids chin, knock it off the floor.
Agent Venom then grabbed the head of a droid with both hand and began to spin around, swinging the droid with him, as he uses it as a weapon and hits the droids around him, knocking them away, with the droids surrounding him all knocked away, Agent Venom then pulls the droid he was holding and wrapped his arms around it, as he jump high into the air and performs a pile-driver, smashes the droid into the floor.
Blue Beetle transforms his arms into the arm cannons, and he actives his wings and flies upward and started firing at the droids, tearing them down, as he flew around the room, before he flies downward, and transforms his hands into two large spiked maces, and smashes through a row of bots, leaving a trail of destroyed robots behind him, as Blue Beetle flies over the droid' heads.
Agent Venom grabs an arm of a bot, with both hands and he tosses it up, into the air, where Blue Beetle flies in and smashes his right mace hand though the torso, Blue Beetle flies down and stands next to Agent Venom, and the two of them put their backs together, with Blue Beetle transforming his maces into cannons, while Agent Venom deploys his shoulder-mounted missile launchers, and the two heroes began to fire a barrage of missiles and energy blasts, destroying and blowing all of the droids to pieces.
The training room was clouded in smoke, and when the smoke cleared, all that was left standing was Blue Beetle and Agent Venom, as the two of them were surrounded by broken and destroyed robots.
Blue Beetle and Agent Venom turned to look at each other, as Beetle had a smile on his face, and Venom had a happy look in his eyes,
"Aw yeah, give me some!" Agent Venom told Blue Beetle, as he held up his right hand and Beetle gives him a high 5.
"Ha-ha!" Blue Beetle laughed, as he smiled,
'Great job, you two,' The sound of Julie's voice came from the intercom speaker,
Inside the observation deck, Julie, A-Bomb, Ava, Centorea were watching the two of them from the window.
A-Bomb smiled broadly, as he crossed his arms, "78 drones taken down in five minutes, and it's not even lunch yet, you're getting better." A-Bomb told Beetle and Venom, feeling prideful.
Ava smiled, as she looked at them, "Alright, hit the showers, you guys." She told them,
Blue Beetle and Agent Venom's masks goes down and the two of them looked up at the observation deck, and Jaime and Flash smiled proudly, as they nodded and turned to head for the exit.
Julie and Ava watches the two of them, "It's pretty amazing how well Flash and Jaime fight together," Julie mentions to Ava,
"Flash fights head-on, relying on brute strength and close combat, while Jaime is more on the defensive, using ranged attacks and also having aerial attacks, but not afraid to do a up close attack. The two of them balance each other out, making them more than enough against a strong force." Ava explained to Julie, as she had a serious and calculating expression on her face.
Centorea then turned to look at A-Bomb, Ava and Julie, with a gentle smile, "I feel that they have you to thank for that, looking back at how far Jaime and Flash has come after joining the team, I think each of you had helped then into unlocking their potential." The centaur explained to them,
The three of them looked at Centorea, as what she said was right, looking at how much each member of S.P.D. has brought out the best in them, thinking at how Randy was just a solo act, but after he joined the team, he learned and discovered a lot about himself and what he's capable of and it made him better because of it.
"Alright, that's enough pleasantries," The sound of Washington's voice was heard, which made them turn to the right and see the S.H.I.E.L.D. soldier standing before them, "Jones, I see a training room that needs to be cleaned out of destroyed training bots." He told A-Bomb, telling him to clean the training room.
A-Bomb had a annoyed scowl as he looked at Washington, as he didn't like how he ordered him as if he was just a grunt.
Things haven't been nice and easy between A-Bomb and Wash, Wash was still angry at A-Bomb for giving secured files to Taskmaster, and though it wasn't Wash's decision but he did immediately voted with Nick Fury on A-Bomb's probation and have his leadership role taken away.
A-Bomb had a cold scowl towards Washington, but he knew not to let it go from emotions into words of spite to actions for violence, that was just what Wash wanted to see, if he would settle and follow orders, or retaliate and gave Wash and Fury an excuse to toss him into a S.H.I.E.L.D. prison call. No, A-Bomb was not gonna give Wash that chance, even if he had to be barked orders like a lowly grunt.
A-Bomb then walked to observation deck's exit but just as he walked passed Wash, his left arm hits up against Wash's right shoulder aggressively, while Wash stood his ground, as he was unfazed by that, while A-Bomb kept walking, until he exited the room.
Ava and Julie both glares daggers at Wash, as the way Wash just treated A-Bomb was enough to anger them, even with his title as leader taken away from him, Julie and Ava both still viewed A-Bomb as their leader, and in their team, they look out for their own.
Wash then began to walk across the room, to was the door that led to the hallway, but as he passes Ava and Julie, "If you're done with acting brooding, t's time to get ready for school (!)" He told the two of them, as he walked passed them and walks through the door.
Julie gritted his teeth, as she clinched her right fist in anger, but before she could go after Wash, Centorea quickly steps in front of her, stopping her, as she looked at Julie with a calm expression, while hold up her left hand up.
"Easy, I'll talk to him." Centorea told Julie, wanting her to calm down before she would do something she's regret.
Centorea then goes after Wash, leaving Ava and Julie in the room, as Julie calmed down a bit, before turning to look at Ava, who gave her a serious look.
"You're letting your temper get the better of you, I don't like it either, but we cannot make the situation any more worse." Ava told Julie, telling her not to let her emotions get the better of her.
Julie stared at Ava, with a complexed look, before calming down, as she knew she was right.
Now in the halls, Wash kept walking, while Centorea reaches him and places her left hand on Wash's right shoulder, stopping him.
Centorea looked at Wash, with disapproving scowl, "Need you lie on an unnecessary statement towards Rick?" She asked, as she felt what Washington said to A-Bomb was not needed or at the moment, necessary.
"Sometimes demeaning and overworking soldiers helps in uniting everybody by giving them someone to hate." Wash explained to her, as he turned around and looked at Centorea.
"In case I have to remind you, David, they're not soldiers, they are children, and they have shown to be deserving of a little more respect from their handler." Centorea tells Washington,
"Respect is a two way street, and so far none of those kids have shown me one iota of it." Wash retorted back to her, knowing that not one of S.P.D. had any respect given back to him.
"But if not them, at least not treat Rick like dirt, can you, at least, do that?" Centorea told Wash, with a hopeful look on her face.
"Actions always have consequences, and the actions taken to hand over classified flies to terrorists, I can't, in good conscience, be lenient of Rick doing it." Wash said back to Centorea,
Centorea then removes her hand from Wash's shoulder, and have a curious look, "What were the flies Rick gave to Taskmaster?" She asked, wanting to know what were on those flies, as she wasn't told of what was on them that made Taskmaster force A-Bomb to give them to him, in exchange for the safety of Alice.
Washington then turned his shoulder to her, and faced his back to the centaur, "That's on a need to know bases..." Wash told Centorea, in a serious tone of voice, making it clear that he wasn't going to tell her what those files were, as he began to walk away.
Leaving Centorea, looking outraged and hurt, as her so-called 'Partner' would keep something from her.
Meanwhile, in Manila, the Philippines,
Within the subdivisions, there was a large white house, with a garden at the front, as it had a patio, as the house also had a gate.
In the house, in a private study, Reese Drake was sitting at a desk, writing up some papers.
Opening the door, and entering, was a large robot, with a gray and green paint job, having two propellers on his back, he had large shoulders, a large left arm and a four-fingered hand, and on his right, he had an large arm cannon.
And his head had a T-shaped visor that was glowing bright green,
The large robot was named C.Y.T.R.O.
As C.Y.T.R.O. had a pink apron on, with him carefully carrying a tray with a cup of hot tea on it, on his cannon arm, and walked towards Reese's desk, and picks up the cup in his left hand and holds up to Reese.
"Your tea, Ms. Reese, boiled at 180 F, three and a half teaspoons of sugar, 5ml of milk, and with a small drop of honey." C.Y.T.R.O. listed down everything,
Reese smiled as she reached her right hand and takes the cup, "Thank you, C.Y.T.R.O." She thanked the robot, as she blows on the tea to cool it a bit, before taking a sip of it.
C.Y.T.R.O. then puts the tray down the desk, as he then takes off the apron, and then, his visor started blinking, getting C.Y.T.R.O.'s attention, as he looked at Reese.
"Ms. Reese, I am receiving a private call from Director Fury." C.Y.T.R.O. tells Reese,
Reese looked at the robot, before putting her cup down, and puts on a straight face, "Pace him through, C.Y.T.R.O." She tells him, as Reese sits back on her chair.
C.Y.T.R.O. then took a few steps back from the desk, and stood still, as then a light shines from C.Y.T.R.O.'s visor and a holo-screen appeared, and on screen it was Nick Fury, as he was sitting at his desk, with a serious scowl on his face.
But Reese just looked back with a bored and unemotional expression, "Nickolas, for what do I owe the pleasure..?" She asked him,
'We have a situation, four days ago, one of our heavily fortified prisons was infiltrated by a shadow team and broke someone out, I think you're smart enough to know who.' Nick explained to Reese, about the situation.
Reese's face then changed to a look of shock, as she did quickly figure out who was broken out and why it would make Nick call her, "Kyoya..." She said, almost speechless at the knowledge of her son being out of prison and now on the loose.
'We currently have all available search teams looking for him; but thus far, they haven't found any traces of where he is.' Nick said to her,
Reese then gathers herself and looked at Nick, with outrage, "You told me that prison would hold him! You told me that he would be watched at all times!" Reese told Nick, angered as Nick assured her that Kyoya would be in the prison and be kept in it.
'The people, who broke him out, weren't amateurs, they entered the prison, completely undetected, cut the video feeds to his cell and they were gone before anyone realized. Reese, I not going to just treat this as just another crook breaking out, you know what happened when Kyoya when he was on the loose.' Nick mentions to her,
Reese then scowls coldly at him, "You don't need to remind me, Fury… I remember it fully well." She told Nick,
'Then you should see that I'm not gonna take any chances with him again, when my search teams find him, they're under orders to take him out.' Nick tells her, with his serious look.
But Reese stands up from his chair, "No! He may be a threat but he's still my son, if you even attempt to kill him, then you'll have to deal with me..." She threaten Nick, with anger and venom in her voice, as she promises that she'll make Nick regret sending his attack-dogs to kill Kyoya.
Nick then narrowed his eyes at her, 'Is that a threat..?' He said, with a tone of voice that didn't take kindly to that.
Reese calms a bit, as she sighed, "Look, he's angry, and he'll immediately retaliate, the second he sees S.H.I.E.L.D." She explained to him,
Nick now had a curious look as he knew what she was saying, Kyoya has great hated for the people who imprisoned him, and will not hesitates to fight back.
'So what are you suggesting?' Fury asked Reese, of what she had in mind,
"I'm suggesting that once Kyoya is found, a small team is sent to contain him." Reese tells Nick, suggesting the idea.
'So, you would want me to send S.P.D. to take him down?' Nick asked, taking a guess that she wants him to send S.P.D. to fight and contain Kyoya.
"Just a small team, I don't want anyone to get hurt, but I ask is that you don't send Rick or tell him about this, it's the last thing I want right now." Reese tells Nick, as she didn't want A-Bomb to know about his brother.
Nick kept his serious scowl, 'Fine, but if they can't, then I say the word and he's gone.' He told Reese, as he cuts his feed and the holo-screen goes blank.
Reese sighs as she drops and sits back down in her chair; she removes her glasses and started rubbing the bridge of her nose with her left hand.
C.Y.T.R.O. turns off the holo-screen, making it disappear, as the robot looked at Reese, "If Kyoya is free? Then I am certain that he's on his way here." C.Y.T.R.O. warned Reese, knowing that Kyoya will come from Reese.
Reese removes her hand and puts her glasses back on, with her eyes closed, as she needs to think.
She didn't care who set Kyoya free, and that Reese could think about is what is going through his head, did he want answers from her or does he only want revenge for her locking him in that prison...
Back in Jump City,
In school, A-Bomb, Metabee and Ava was walking down the hallway,
Metabee turned his head to look up at A-Bomb, "Ah, don't let what Wash said got to ya, Rick, with a guy like him, it's all about power and keeping everyone in line, by showing them what we'll do or say, if they so much as back talk." He tells A-Bomb, in hopes it'll keep him in good spirits.
A-Bomb then looked down at Metabee and gave him a gentle smile,
"A-Hem!" The sound of Kaikaina clearing her voice was heard, as it came from in-front of A-Bomb, Ava and Metabee, as the three of them looked ahead and saw Kaikaina, with Julie and Kaede.
The three girls smiled, and they were standing in-front of someone.
"Jump City High, we are pleased to be introducing JCH's first ever Atlantean exchange student, Tula!" Kaikaina announced and introduced, as she, Julie and Kaede all steps aside and revealing Aquagirl.
But she was out of her normal Atlantean clothes and was wearing a yellow tank top with a aqua blue raindrop on the chest, and she was wearing light blue track pants, and she was also wearing sandals.
Aquagirl had a sly but gentle smile on her, as she was nervous as she hoped her friends would like her new clothes,
The new wardrobe of Aquagirl was due to her attending her first day in Jump City High, as a transfer student and representative of Atlantis.
A-Bomb and Metabee looked stupefied at Aquagirl's new look, but Ava walked passed her two friends and walked towards Aquagirl, with a smile.
"Liking the new look, Aquagirl." Ava complemented Aquagirl, as she reaches her,
Aquagirl gave a gentle smile, as she shook her head, "I am out of uniform, when I am off-duty, I would just like to be called Tula." She explained to Ava, as she would like to be called by her real name, especially when she's attending school.
"You excited of your first day at school?" A-Bomb asked Tula, as he and Metabee snaps out of it and walks towards Tula and Ava, and smiled.
Tula rubbed the back of her head with her right hand, "Well, it's a bit exciting to be attending a school on the surface, but I'm worried of being the... odd one out..." Tula tells them, as she was on the first and only Atlantean student to attend Jump City High.
Kaikaina then steps in and puts her left hand on Tula's right shoulder, making her turn to look at her, as Kaikaina gave her a smile.
"Don't worry about it, a good chunk of the student body here is aliens and demi-humans, you're rollin' in the right crowd, T." Kaikaina assures Tula that there's nothing to be worried about.
"Just don't think about the negatives, just relax, be yourselves and no one will think any less of you." Julie tells Tula, making her turn to look at her.
Tula then processed all of what they said just relax,
Tula then turned to see a passing student who was passing by, Tula's eyes widen as she noticed that he had braces in his teeth, Tula then smiled brightly and quickly moves towards him and put her right hand on his jaw to open his mouth up, and Tula moves in closer to get a better look at his braces.
"Ooo, mouth-jewellery!" Tula said, smiling in amazement, as she's never seen braces before, so she thinks that the guy's braces is some kind of jewellery.
While the guy looked confused and uncomfortable of this girl playing with his braces.
A-Bomb, Kaede, Metabee, Julie, Ava and Kaikaina all stared at Tula, all with Blank White Eyes, as they watched awkwardly as the watched Tula admire the guy's braces.
Kaede and Ava quickly moves over to Tula and pulls her away from the guy, as he stared at Tula with a weirded out face, as he quickly walks away from her.
Kaede looked at Tula, "But you should bury the part of you that is curious about others dental work." She mentions to her, as Tula looks a bit confused, as she didn't know what she did wrong.
While Ava, Kaede, Metabee, Kaikiana and A-Bomb were dealing with Tula, Julie noticed that Randy was not where to be seen she thought that he was with A-Bomb, Ava and Metabee.
Inside the gymnasium, Randy was in a black tank top and track pants, while having bandages wrapped around both his forearms.
As Randy was delivering kicks and punches to a punching bag, with great deals of force, but with a left punch hitting the bag at its side, Randy loses his balance and falls, but lands on his knees and his hands on the floor as well.
Randy was pacing breathlessly, while he was sweating, with an angered expression.
"Randy, what are you doing?" The sound Julie's voice entered the gym, making Randy turned his head and look at the girl, as she was standing a few feet away from him.
Randy sighed, as he turned his head to face the floor, "I'm just workin' out..." He tells Julie, as he regains his breath.
But Julie had a worried look on her face, as she walked over to Randy, while he was getting back on his feet.
"Randy, you know what Dr. Grey said, you're body still needs to heal and not to overexert yourself." Julie said to Randy,
Randy's body was healed enough to do minor things, but not to push it beyond its limits, he'll only end up prolonging his recovery and cause him more pain and hurting himself.
Randy turned to look at her, with a serious expression, "Jule, I've been benched for nearly a week, I'm sick of just sittin' and waitin' around; I wanna get back out there." Randy explained to Julie, as he was tired of being put on the sidelines to recover.
"I know you hate being side-lined, Randy, but these things take time, you just gonna be patient." Julie tells Randy,
But Randy stands up straight, and threw his right arm to the side, as he had an angered and frustrated scowl on his face. "Patient?! PATIENT?! How can I be patient when Taskmaster knows who I am, how can Ibe patient when he decides to attack my family while I'm stuck in recovery! The more time sittin' around, the more dangerous Taskmaster gets, and I'm not strong enough to stop anything he plans, I barely manage to hold my own against him, and what'll happen if Taskmaster kidnaps Alice or anyone else that I care about and I can't protect them!?" He ranted,
Julie took a step back from him, looking shocked, before Julie then looked at Randy with a slightly outraged expression, "Randy, you wanna stop Taskmaster more than any of us, I get it, I really do, but I am just trying to help you and be your friend, but I will not just take that, do you hear me." She tells him with a angered tone of voice, as she didn't like how Randy was pushing all his anger and frustration towards her.
Randy then calms down a bit, as he sighed, as ran his right hand up his hair, and then opens his eyes to look back at Julie. "I'm sorry, you're right, you didn't deserve that, I am sorry, Julie..." He apologised to her.
Julie's face then changed to a more calmed and accepting look, as she accepted Randy's apology.
"Randy, I've said it before and I'll say it again, you're not alone in this fight, and we'll take Taskmaster down together." Julie tells him, reminding him about that.
"I know... But last time Taskmaster made a move against us, Alice was nearly killed..." Randy pointed out, as he hangs his head,
But Julie gave a small smile, "But Randy, you saved her, that's what matters, that was you, Randy, all you, have you thought about that?" Julie mentions to him, reminding him that he was the one who saved Alice.
But Randy had an unconvinced look on his face, "But what if Alice gets taken again, and this time I won't be lucky and save her and just end up failing and Alice or anyone else that I care about gets hurt." Randy explains that to Julie, of a possibility of him not being strong enough or ready to save anyone, and ultimately failing to save them.
Julie just stared at Randy, with a conflicted look, as she tried to think of an answer but couldn't…
As she knew what he was saying, the fear of not being strong enough to save the ones they love, and when that thought entered her mind, Julie was immediately reminded of that alternate and dystopian future she was sent too, where she watched as each of the future versions of her friends die around her, and she couldn't help them.
Randy closed his eyes as he sighed, "We have powers that give us the responsibility to protect the powerless, but if I'm not strong enough to save anyone, then how can I call myself..." He told Julie, as he opens his eyes and looked at her, with a somber look.
Randy then walked passed Julie, leaving the gum, and leaving Julie there, pondering on what Randy said...
If Randy thinks he's not strong enough to save the ones he loves, is she..?
Sometime passes, one inside a class room,
A-Bomb, Ava, Jaime, Kaede, Tula, Kaikaina and Flash were all in class,
As A-Bomb was sitting in his desk, while Ava was sitting in her's, just next to A-Bomb, Kaede was sitting on A-Bomb desk, Tula was sitting on the other side of A-Bomb, and sitting in front of him was Flash, as Kaikaina was sitting on his desk, and Jaime was leaning on Ava's desk.
"Ah, Wash is just jealous that he doesn't have powers like us, so he just uses his title to put us down and keep us in line, just to boost he's ego and make him feel superior over the rest of us." Kaede explains to A-Bomb, as they were trying to keep his spirits up.
Before Kaede then turned to look at Kaikaina, with a gentle look, "Uh, no offence, Kai," She tells her, not wanting to have Kaikaina take what she said as an insult, since Kaikaina was the only one in S.P.D. who doesn't have powers.
But Kaikaina just shrugged it off, and gave Kaede a smile, "Don't worry about it, K, when it comes to powers, I make up for it with mastery of hand-to-hand combat, total elite with any kind of firearm and sharp shot, and plus, I also deliver the zany lines and just being hot." She explained to her, as Kaikaina had a flirty smile, as she puts her hands behind her head and thrusted out her chest.
Flash looked at his girlfriend, taking a glimpse of Kaikaina's chest, before turning his head to look at the others, with a small smile, "I can vouch for that..." He mentions,
Tula, Ava and Kaede just glared at Kaikaina, with annoyed looks, how was that supposed to make them feel?
But A-Bomb gave them a smile, "It's nice to you guys to care, but I can handle Wash, so don't worry about it." He tells them not to worry about,
"Hey, guys," The sound of Alice's voice was heard, getting the gang's attention, as they turned and sees Alice and Casey, as they walked up to them.
"Whadda guy talkin' about?" Casey asked them,
"Uh, nothing..." Ava said, keeping the whole thing with Wash a secret.
"I was just talking about my trip next week to visit my mom." A-Bomb tells them, using his planned trip week to see his mom.
"Really, that sound nice," Alice replied to A-Bomb, with a smile.
"Where does your mom live?" Casey asked him, wondering where Reese lives.
"Manila, in the Philippines, my mom had this great house in the subdivisions." A-Bomb tells them, with a smirk.
"I didn't know that?" Tula said to A-Bomb, as Kaede and Jaime nodded, as she, her and Jaime didn't know about where Reese lives.
"Well, tell your mom we said hi," Casey told A-Bomb, with a smile, as Alice smiled and nodded, before the two of them walked to their desks.
Jaime turned to look at A-Bomb, "You sounded pretty happy about the trip, Rick," He mentioned to A-Bomb,
A-Bomb leans a bit on his chair and smiled, "Mom felt bad that we couldn't spend Christmas together, so she wanted me to go down and spend the week with her." He explained to them,
"Alright, class, settle down," The teacher said, telling the class as the lesson has now started.
Kaikaina and Jaime then quickly get to their seats, after everyone was settled, but before the class could start, the school's PA went on.
'Flash Thompson and Jaime Reyes, please report to the principal's office, Flash Thompson and Jaime Reyes.' The PA called out,
This catches Jaime and Flash completely off-guard, why were they called to the principal's office, neither of them did anything?
Ava, Kaikaina, Kaede, A-Bomb and Tula looked confused; as they watched Flash and Jaime get out of their seats and walk out of class,
Why were they called up?
In Centorea's office, Flash and Jaime enters, and they see Centorea, kneeing at her desk and standing beside the deck was Washington, as he had his arms crossed.
"Uh, is this about me and Flash using the S.H.I.E.L.D. training bots to play Rock 'em Sock 'Em Robots..?" Jaime asked hesitantly, thinking that was the reason they got called up to the office.
Flash looked nervous as he then held up his right index finger, "We only did it 'cuz the batteries in our game controllers were dead." He pointed out, hoping it'll make them look more like the victims, just so they don't get punished as much.
"That's not why we called you up..." Centorea told the two of them, with a straight look,
"But we'll put a pin in that Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots for later..." Washington told them, with a serious tone, as this was the first he was hearing about Flash and Jaime using S.H.I.E.L.D. grade combats training drones to play some kind of boxing robots.
Jaime and Flash then turned to look at each other, both confused, before turning back to look at them. "Sooo, why did you call us up?" Jaime asked, wondering what they wanted,
"We have a mission for you two, there was a break-out of a dangerous prisoner, and he's currently on the move and has to be taken down by any means necessary." Washington explained to them,
As Fury decided to assign only Flash and Jaime to find and capture Kyoya,
"Wait, just the two of us, like, solo..?" Flash asked, surprised that he and Jamie are being assigned a mission without the rest of the team.
"What about the others?" Jaime asked, asking why this mission only needed him and Flash and not the others.
"Don't poke holes into this, you have your mission and you have your orders you'll be leaving in an hour." Washington explained to them, serious in tone,
Flash and Jaime both turned to look at each other again, both really confused,
A few hours passed, after school finished, the gang headed back to the Triskelion,
Inside the SHED, in Randy's room, Randy was sitting on the his bed, in his normal clothes but he had his jacket off, as he had a deep look of thought, before he lifted up his left wrist and looks at his watch, before he started pressing some buttons on it, before he takes it off and places it on the floor, and Randy briefly waited, until a hologram is projected from it, and it was a hologram of Dororo, Randy then pushed himself off his bed and gets on his knees and bows in respect to his master.
"Sensei," Randy greeted Dororo, as he lifts himself up to look at the small alien.
'Randy, this call is unexpected; I sense that you are calling in need of guidance.' Dororo said to Randy, quickly knowing that Randy has called him because he seeks wisdom.
"Sensei... How can I be the best that I can be..?" Randy asked, pleading for an answer.
'I'm sorry but I don't understand the question?' Dororo said, as he didn't know what Randy meant by 'The best he can be'.
"I mean how can I really unlock the true power with myself?" Randy explains to him,
Dororo now understood the question, 'You've never asked to seek more power, you've always placed it upon yourself you strength, this seems out of the blue?' He tells Randy,
Randy sighed, "Sensei, I fought against Scorpion and Taskmaster and barely managed to beat one of them and narrowly saved my friend, but how I beat Scorpion, I did something I've never did before, my right leg was burning more brighter and hotter than my whole body, I don't know what I did or how I did it, but I have to learn more about it, so I can be prepared to face and beat Taskmaster, that's what I called, I need you to teach me, Master." Randy explained to him,
Rnady knew what he did to beat Scorpion was a power he never experience before, and if he can master a power like that, he could turn the tide against Taskmaster.
Dororo looked at Randy, as he thought about it, before he put his hands on his hips and lifted up his head up, with a heroic and serious look in his eyes, and then gave Randy his answer...
'No.'
Randy looked shocked and confused, "I'm sorry (!) WHAT?!" He said caught completely off-guard that Dororo said that he wouldn't teach him,
'Randy, I'm sorry, but I can't teach something I don't know anything about, the power of the Ninja Mask grants those who wears it the abilities of a ninja, but the power of the mask itself, is a power only a few have ever had an understanding of. No, I afraid that the answers that you seek aren't with me…' Dororo explained to Randy, as his arms drops and looked at him.
But Randy had an anxious look, as he shook his head, "No, no, come on, Sensei, there's gotta be someone who can train me, please!" He pleaded to his master, as he was not accepting there wasn't no-one who can teach him.
Dororo looks at Randy, before he closed his eyes and thought about it, thinking if there something, 'There maybe... But I'll have go thought the scrolls of the First Ninja, it may be a long shot, but there just might be something to start from.' Dororo tells Randy, as he opens his eyes,
Hearing this, Randy perks up, it may not be much but it's something.
A few days later, in the afternoon, far in the forests of Canada,
Kyoya was walking across a large field of green grass, as he was heading towards a large cave,
And flying in the sky, high above Kyoya, was a Quinjet, piloted by Agent Venom, while Blue Beetle was sitting in the navigation seat.
Beetle takes a look at the scanners and then turned to look at Venom, "I got something, he's just below us." He tells Venom, as the scanners have found Kyoya.
Agent Venom nodded, "Alright, I'm takin' her down," He said to Blue Beetle and flew the Quinjet down.
Back on the ground, Kyoya kept walking, until a huge gust of wind blew in-front of him, as he stops and looks up, he sees the Quinjet, as he was lowering down and lands in-front of him.
The cargo door opens and Agent Venom and Blue Beetle walks out of it, and the two of them sees Kyoya, as he stared with a serious expression on his face.
Agent Venom looked confused, as he pointed his left index finger at Kyoya, while turning to look at Blue Beetle. "That's the guy? He doesn't look so tough." He said,
"But we don't know what he's capable of, so be alert." Beetle told Venom, cautioning him not to underestimate an enemy they don't know about.
Beetle and Venom then walked over to Kyoya, as he stood there, glaring at the two heroes.
"So, I'm guessing you're the guy who's been makin' a real ruckus." Blue Beetle told Kyoya, with a serious look.
Agent Venom then takes a step forward, scowling at Kyoya, "But we're nice guys, so how about we do this nicely, with you just giving up and-" He said to him, before he was cut off when Kyoya walked passed him, hitting his shoulder with he's.
Venom and Beetle turned to watch Kyoya walk away; this makes Beetle to narrow his eyes.
As Kyoya was walking, Blue Beetle floats down in-front of him, flying with his jetpack, with his wings deployed, and he had his arms crossed.
"That was rude; my friend was talking to you." Blue Beetle told Kyoya, with an annoyed glare, as he was hovering backwards, keeping up with Kyoya's pace.
But Kyoya just ignored him, as he only focused on walking,
Seeing how Kyoya wasn't gonna just talk, Blue Beetle rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders, "Alright, I can talk and hover," He said, as he'll hover while talking to him,
Agent Venom then walked up and began to walk next to Kyoya, with a serious look in his eyes. "How about we break the ice with who you are and what you want?" He told Kyoya, as he pointed his left index finger at him.
Kyoya then stops walking, which made the two of them stop as well, as Blue Beetle stops hovering and plants his feet on the ground, the two heroes looked at him, thinking was if he was going to say something.
Kyoya looked at Beetle with a suspicious look, "Are you two with S.H.I.E.L.D?" He asked, wanting to know.
Beetle had a hesitant look, as he quickly turned to look at Venom, before turning back to face Kyoya, with a confident look on his face. "Yeah, and we were sent by them to find you and take you-"
But then, Blue Beetle was cut off, as Kyoya delivers a fast and powerful right punch and hits Beetle in the stomach and sends him flying across the air and smashes into the Quinjet.
Agent Venom was caught off guard by that, and before he could reach, Kyoya turned and tosses his left fist, punching him in the chest and sending Venom back a few feet, as he held his ground and his feet made tracks.
Agent Venom recovered and looked at Kyoya with a look of fire in his eyes, "Alright, I tried bein' nice..." He said,
Before he charges at Kyoya and jumps up, pulling his right fist back and falls towards Kyoya, tossing his fist at him, but Kyoya quickly steps back, and Venom's fist smashes into the ground, before he quickly stands up and moves forward on Kyoya, tossing his left fist at Kyoya, but he blocks it with his right forearm, absorbing the blow, Venom quickly pulls in his fist and then threw his right fist towards Kyoya's stomach, but Kyoya catches his wrist with his right hand and then pulls on Venom's wrist and tosses his whole body over Kyoya's shoulder and he smashes Venom into the ground.
Kyoya lets go of Agent Venom's wrist and stands up straight, and left up his right foot, as he was going to stomp him.
But then, flying in and tackling Kyoya, at great speed, was Blue Beetle, as wrapped his arms around Kyoya's waist, as he flew him into the cave,
Now inside, Kyoya then drives his right elbow into Beetle's face, which made him loosen his grip on Kyoya, he then takes wrapped his right arm around the back of Beetle's neck, and headlocks him, Blue Beetle gritted his teeth, as he loses control and he and Kyoya hits the ground, causing him to let go of Kyoya and the two tumbles and rolls on the rocky ground, before stopping with the two of them laying on the ground.
Kyoya and Blue Beetle quickly gets back up and faced each other, scowling at each other, before Kyoya sprints at Beetle, but he stood his ground, and when Kyoya reached him, Beetle quickly deploys his wings and flies upward, dodging Kyoya, but unfortunately, Kyoya manages to grab hold of Beetle's right ankle with his left hand, holding on with an iron grip and holding Beetle down.
Blue Beetle looked down with shock, as Kyoya was holding down, before Kyoya grabs his ankle with his right hand and then swings Beetle down, smashing him into the ground, before swinging him again, over his head and smashes Beetle into the ground.
Beetle laid there, with his eyes closed in pain, while Kyoya stomps his right foot on his chest, as he stands before the hero with a scowl full of fury.
"You'll never put me in that tank again, you hear me?! NEVER!" Kyoya roared out at Beetle, making it clear that he will never let S.H.I.E.L.D. put him back in the tank.
But then Agent Venom comes in and tackles Kyoya, grabbing hold of his waist and tossing Kyoya away from him and Beetle.
Kyoya flew a good distance before he recovers in mid-air and lands on his feet, as they grinds on the ground, before stopping and standing up straight, glaring at Agent Venom.
Venom then helps Blue Beetle up, as the two of them both looked at Kyoya, narrowing their eyes at him, as they readied themselves for a fight, while Kyoya's mouth curves to a smirk, after being asleep in that tank, this fight was gonna be the most active thing he's done in a long time, and he knew he was gonna enjoy every second of it, as he tilted his head to the right and then the left, as the sound of his neck cracking was heard with each tilt.
Then, Kyoya charges at Agent Venom and Blue Beetle, at full speed,
Beetle quickly transforms both his arms into their laser cannons and started firing at Kyoya, but the blaster fire hits him but it doesn't stop or slow him down, and he kept running, until Kyoya leaps up high, hold both his fists over his head, and then he falls towards them, swinging his fist downward, Venom and Beetle both quickly jumps out of the way, and Kyoya's fists smashes into the ground, and he quickly stands up straight and ran to Beetle, as he rolls on the ground before getting back on his feet, he turns to aim his right arm cannon at Kyoya, but Kyoya reaches him before he could fire, where Kyoya delivers a powerful left punch, sends Beetle flying off the ground and hits a stalagmite.
Kyoya then turned and sprinted towards Agent Venom, as he quickly gets back up on his feet, and turned to face Kyoya, but before he could do anything, Kyoya delivers a right punch to his stomach, sending him flying across the cave until he hits a wall and drops to his knees, while Kyoya charges at Venom.
Venom had his eyes closed, as he shook his head, "O...K... Now the gloves are off..." He said, as he lifted his head up and looks at Kyoya, with a serious look in his eyes, as he quickly gets back up.
Kyoya then leaps up and tosses his right fist at Agent Venom, but he jumps and rolls out of the way, and Kyoya's fist smashes into the wall, this leaves an opening for Venom, as he gets back on his feet and turned and tosses his right fist, punching Kyoya in the face, knocking him back, Venom then started to deliver a barrage of punches to Kyoya's face, as Kyoya was walking backwards and Venom was walking forwards, until Venom tosses his left fist, Kyoya catches it in his right hand, stopping it, to Venom surprise as Kyoya then tosses his head towards and head-butts Venom's head, knocking him back, Venom quickly recovers and sees Kyoya running towards him, and he quickly aimed his right arm up and shoots out a web out his wrist and hits the ceiling and he pulls himself upwards quickly, as Kyoya misses him and stopped running.
Kyoya turned and looked up, where he sees Agent Venom on the ceiling, before he pushes himself off it and falls towards Kyoya, head first, as he held both his arms in a X and guarded his head, Venom hits and body slams Kyoya, pinning him to the ground, Venom quickly gets jumps off of him and flips in mid-air and lands on his feet, a few feet away from Kyoya, as he was getting up, Venom then charges towards Kyoya, with his right fist under his body, and he swings it upward, upper-cutting Kyoya's chin, and sending him flying and smashing into a wall.
Venom then runs towards Kyoya, holding up his left fist up, but when he reaches Kyoya, Kyoya quickly spins to the right, dodging Venom's fist, and he delivers a powerful right punch to Venom's back, pushing and smashing him against the wall, Kyoya then grabs Venom's waist with both hands and performs a suplex and slams him into the ground, Venom laid on his back, and Kyoya then starts giving multiple punches to Venom, with each punch being more stronger and powerful than the last, with each punch shaking the ground.
But then, from behind Kyoya, Blue Beetle flies in, with his right hand transformed into a hammer, where he swings and hits Kyoya, sending him across the cave and away from Venom, where Kyoya hits a large rock in the ground, Beetle flies after him, but when he goes over the rock, Kyoya was alright back on his feet and he swings his right arm outward, hitting Beetle and causing him to fly into a stalagmite, smashing through it, and he hits and tumbles on the ground, Kyoya charges at him, but Beetle quickly gets back up, and swings his right hammer and hits Kyoya's right side, and Beetle transforms his left hand into a hammer and he then hits the bottom of Kyoya's chin with the left and with the right following, Kyoya was gritting his teeth and had his eyes closed, until Beetle then hits both sides of his head with both hammers.
Blue Beetle then swings both his hammer hands upward, upper-cutting Kyoya, knocking him off his feet and off the ground, and he hits the ground, laying on his back, before he gets back up, Beetle looked surprised that Kyoya was getting back up, but he shook it off and puts on his game face.
Beetle then ran to Kyoya, holding up his right hammer hand and tosses it, but Kyoya catches it in his left hand, and he then crushes the hammer with his strength, until he delivers a right punch to Beetle's stomach, while still holding on to the hammer and the punch sends Beetle flying, as he hits the ground and tumbles.
When Beetle stops, he pushes himself up, and looked at his right arm, and sees, to his shock, his arm was just his bare skin, as he looked up and sees Kyoya, still holding on to the hammer, with the right arm of Blue Beetle's armor, Beetle then gets back up and his armor regenerates and covers his right arm in the armor again.
Kyoya then tosses what was else of the arm aside, as Blue Beetle rans up to him, tossing his right fist at Kyoya, but he steps to the side, dodging Beetle's punch and tosses a left punch to the back of his head, driving his face into a stone pillar, with Beetle planted in the pillar, Kyoya then grabs Beetle's right shoulder horn and he pulls on it and tosses Beetle off the ground, as Beetle smashes through a pillar, and he hits a boulder and falls to the ground, lying on the ground.
Beetle struggled to push himself up, as he lifted up his head, he sees Kyoya sprinting at him, where he delivers right uppercut, punching him upward and smashing him against the boulder, shaking the cave from that powerful punch, Beetle falls and drops onto his knees, Kyoya then turns and walks over to a large boulder and lifts it up, holding it with both hands and holding it over his head, as he turned back to Beetle, as he was going to crush him with the boulder.
But then, from behind, a web line flies in and hits the boulder, grabbing and was pulled out of Kyoya's hands, Kyoya quickly turned in surprise, as he sees, holding on to the other end of the web was Agent Venom, as he swings the web, dragging the boulder around in a 360 swing, until the boulder reaches back to Kyoya, at full speed, hitting him and sending him flying across the cave, until he lands against a pillar.
Kyoya gritted his teeth in anger and jumps off the pillar and charges at Venom and Beetle, as the two heroes were charging towards Kyoya as well, as Blue Beetle fires his left arm cannon at Kyoya, which makes him shield his face with his forearms, and with his sight covered, Venom shoots a line of web out of his left wrist, over to Beetle, which he catches in his right hand and the two pulls on the web line while they ran, as Beetle ceased fire on Kyoya, which made Kyoya remove his arms from his face, but as he looks ahead and saw the web line coming towards him, and before he could react, the web hits his neck, clothes-lining him and knocking him off his feet, and falls to the ground.
Blue Beetle and Agent Venom turned to look at Kyoya, as he was getting back up, the two of them turned to look at each other before charging in.
Kyoya was back on his feet, and ran towards them, as they were running, Beetle jumps up and Venom holds out his right hand, where Beetle lands and plants his left foot on it, as Venom tosses Beetle upward, flying over Kyoya's head, which causes him to stop, as Beetle lands behind him, Kyoya quickly turns but Beetle delivers a double kick to the face, which knocks him back and made him turn, where Venom ran in to deliver a right punch, which knocks Kyoya around back to Beetle, as Beetle transformed his left fist into a spiked mace and punches Kyoya again, knocking him back to Venom, as he punches Kyoya with his right fist again.
Beetle and Venom the both tosses their fists at the same time, but Kyoya quickly managed to grab both of their fists in each hand, and Kyoya then began to spin around, pulling Venom and Beetle off the ground and was being spun around at great speed, until Kyoya let's go and tosses the two of them across the cave, at a good distance, but after throwing them, Kyoya loses his balance and drops to his knees, with his hands following and pushing him up.
Venom and Beetle hits the ground and tumbles and rolls on it, before stopping, Beetle and Venom struggled to get back up, as the two of them were exhausted and hurt.
"(Groan) We're gettin' thrown around like couple ragdolls..." Agent Venom told Beetle, with a look of pain in his eyes, as he pushes himself up.
"This guy's tough, but even he's gotta be getting tried too." Blue Beetle said, as he looked at Venom with a tried look on his face.
"But we're throwin' everything we've got at him and he's just dustin' them off." Venom said to Beetle, as the two of them gets back on their feet.
Beetle then looked at Kyoya, who was getting back up, as his sight then moved upward and he sees an extremely large stalagmite hangin on the ceiling, just over Kyoya, Beetle got an idea.
"Then we'll just throw something a lot more heavier..." Beetle said to Venom, as he quickly transforms his arms into arm cannons and started firing up at the base of the stalagmite.
Venom saw what he was doing and knew what he was going to do, he joined in as he actives his shoulder mounted missile launchers and fires a few missiles at the stalagmite, the missiles hits the base and explodes, thus causing the stalagmite to break off its base and fall down, towards Kyoya.
As Kyoya looked up and saw the stalagmite falling towards him, but he doesn't move or even try to get out of the way, as his face only had a dead serious scowl on his face, as the stalagmite reaches and falls on him, pinning and completely crushing Kyoya.
Agent Venom and Blue Beetle disarmed themselves as the two of them looked at the stalagmite in the ground; they then turned to look at each other, wondering if Kyoya was down or not.
But then, a load rumbling sound came from the stalagmite, which grabbed Beetle and Venom's attention, as they turned and saw the stalagmite tipping over to its side, until it started moving around.
Beetle and Venom both stared, completely still with shock and disbelief at what they were seeing, Kyoya was still moving and was swinging the giant stalagmite.
"No way..." Blue Beetle said, with speechlessness on his face, amazed that even after a giant stalagmite falls on him, he's still not down and out.
As the stalagmite swings in a 360 swing, until it reaches and hits Beetle and Venom, smashing the two of them across the air, as Beetle hits the wall while Venom hits and tumbles on the ground.
Emerging from the duct, was Kyoya, who was completely fine, as his body was void of any scars, cuts or bruises, as he sees Venom, laying on his front, struggling to move.
Venom had his eyes nearly closed in, as he was in a great deal of pain, as he tried to crawl but was in too much pain, but then, leaping a great distance and falling towards Venom, Kyoya stomps on Venom's right arm, with his right foot, with full force, as Venom's arm bends out of place.
"GGGAAAAHHH!" Agent Venom roared out in great pain, as Kyoya broke his right arm,
Kyoya removes his foot from the broken arm, as he then leans over and reached his left hand out and grabbed the back of Venom's head, pulling his head up towards Kyoya's face, as Venom's eyes were barely opened.
"Your first mistake was underestimating me but the stupider mistake was overestimating yourself..." Kyoya whispered to Venom, in a cold tone of voice and scowl on his face.
Before Kyoya tosses Venom's head down and smashes his face into the ground, cracking the ground and making a small crater, before Kyoya lifted Venom's head back up and then smashes his face into the ground again, and Kyoya kept smashing Venom's head into the ground repeatedly, with each smash getting faster and more stronger, which cranked the ground and made the crater bigger.
"NO!" Blue Beetle yelled out, as he flies in and tackles Kyoya, getting him away from Venom, as he falls back down to the ground, now lying there, unconscious.
Beetle had a strong grip on Kyoya's jacket, as he drives him into the ground, tearing him across the ground, before Kyoya grabs on to Beetle's arms and planted his right foot on Beetle chest and pushes him away, breaking his grip on Kyoya's jacket and Beetle flies over Kyoya, as he shuts off his wings and lands on his feet, while Kyoya rolls and gets back on his feet.
Blue Beetle and Kyoya stood facing each at a good distance, scowling at each other,
Beelte gritted his teeth as he pulls his hands back before swinging them together, clapping and then both his arms transforms into an extremely large energy cannon, and aimed it at Kyoya and fires a huge beam of energy at Kyoya, but Kyoya stood his ground and planted his feet firmly on the ground, as the beam hits his chest, pushing him a bit, while Kyoya kept a serious look on his face, as he lifted up his right leg and takes a step forward and began to walk towards Beetle, pushing back at the beam, as Beetle looked shocked at seeing Kyoya taking the hit and walking towards him.
Kyoya was getting closer and closer to Beetle, until he reaches the cannon and grabs the firing end while it was still shooting in his left hand and pushes it downward and away from him, as Kyoya turned to glare at Beetle with a straight face.
"How are you just taking all of this..?" Blue Beetle asked Kyoya in complete disbelief, how is Kyoya able to endure beating for him and Agent Venom, blaster shots, having a giant stalagmite fall on him and take a full powered energy cannon and still be standing.
Kyoya narrowed his eyes at Beetle, as he leans his head in, while Beetle looked confused and scared.
"I can't feel... Any of this..." Kyoya gave Beetle his answer, revealing that he can't feel any pain.
Kyoya then lifted up his right fist and swings it into the cannon's barrel, while it was still firing, each causes the cannon to explode, which blasts Beetle away, while Kyoya held his ground.
Beetle hits the ground, rolling onto his back, "GAH, AHH-HA!" He cried out in pain, as both his arms were burned from the explosion.
Kyoya emerging from the smoke, completely unscathed, as he kept his cold scowl on his face, as he walked to the gravely injured Blue Beetle and stands before him, while Beetle could barely keep his left eye open as he his right eye was shut tight in pain.
Kyoya glares down at Blue Beetle, "Don't take any of this personal, if all counts, I needed this, I was worried that being in that tank for so long made me soft, it's nice to know that I've still got it, so again, don't you and our friend take it personal, but feel free to tell S.H.I.E.L.D. that if they send anyone else to try and stop me, they'll only end up worst then you two." Kyoya explained to Beetle, giving a cold warning.
Kyoya then walks away, leaving Beetle and Venom injured and defeated, as he exits the cave.
With Kyoya gone, Beetle struggled to turn his head to sees Venom, lying next to him, Blue Beetle's mask deactivate, revealing Jaime's face being scratched and bruised as blood was running down his mouth, Jaime then slowly and carefully rolls onto his front and began to crawl to Venom, until he reaches him and reached his right hand over to Venom's right wrist, where his watch was, and presses a button, which actives the emergency SOS.
Jaime was breathing heavily due to his injury, with a painful look on his face, as he turned around and then slowly closed his eyes, as he passes out...
Hours later, now back at the Triskelion Island, a Quinjet lands on the landing pad, as there was Dr. Grey and a team of medics were waiting, as the Quinjet's cargo door opens, revealing both Agent Venom and Jaime on stretchers.
Dr. Grey and the medics quickly moves Venom and Jaime out of the Quinjet, taking them to the med-bay, with haste.
In the Triskelion,
Running down the hall to the med-bay, was the whole S.P.D. team, as A-Bomb, Julie, Ava, Randy, Metabee, Kaikaina, Tula, Kaede and Cyandog, who were all running, all having looks of great worry, as they reached the med-bay.
Where they all see Jaime and Flash, out of their costumes and wearing medical gowns and were both in hospital beds, Jaime's arms were heavily bandaged, as he had bandages on his left cheek and his face was married with bruises, as Flash's right arm was in a cast, with a bandage wrapped around his forehead, as his face had bruises and scratches.
The two of them were both out cold, as that's was how the rescue team found them,
All of them were horrified at seeing Jaime and Flash in such critical condition,
Kaikaina sees an orderly and grabbed her by the collar and pulls her towards her, as she had a dead serious look on her face, "What happened!? Who did this!?" She yelled at the orderly, demanding to know what happened to Jaime and especially Flash.
Julie quickly puts her left hand on Kaikaina's right shoulder, making her turn her head to look at Julie, as she looked into Kaikaina's eyes, signalling to her to calm down.
Kaikaina then took a deep breath, as she let's go of the orderly and looked at her with a calm expression, "I'm sorry," Kaikaina apologised to the orderly,
Ava sees Dr. Grey, as she was reading down a chart for Jaime and Flash, Ava, along with Kaede and Cyandog, quickly walks over to Dr. Grey.
"Dr. Grey, how bad are they?" Ava asked about Flash and Jaime's conditions, looking worried.
Dr. Grey turned her head to look at Ava, "Both of them has suffered great amounts of injuries, Jaime has second degree burns on his arms, and Flash's right arm is broken and has severe head trauma, I'm sorry, you guys, but I need to ask all of you to leave." Dr. Grey explains and gentle and kindly to them, while asking them to leave, so her and her team can focus on treating Jaime and Flash, without them being a distraction.
Ava, Kaede, Cyandog, Kaikaina, Tula, Julie, A-Bomb, Metabee and Randy all had hesitate looks, not wanting to leave Flash and Jaime, but could understand and respected her wishes, and all of them leaves the med-bay.
Sometime later, now in Fury's office,
A-Bomb and Ava were standing in-front of Fury, as he was sitting at his deck, with Washington and Centorea standing beside it.
"You sent Jaime and Flash on a mission without our prior knowledge!?" Ava said, with anger on her and A-Bomb's face.
But Nick kept a straight face, "It should have been a simple and quick assignment, unfortunately we underestimated their enemy." Fury explains to them,
"Well, your little 'underestimation' has two of our own in hospital beds, nearly beaten to death!" Ava told Fury, with rising anger.
Wash takes a step, as he looked at Ava, "Watch it, Ayala, I don't even know why you two are even here, this doesn't concern either of you." He told Ava, in a serious tone, talking down at her.
A-Bomb then pointed his right finger at Wash, with a dead serious scowl, "We make it concerns us when it's one of our own, Washington!" He told Wash, angered that Wash would just say that something like this didn't concern them.
"And I know that this doesn't concern you, Jones!" Wash retorted back at A-Bomb, pointing out his probation and how he isn't the leader anymore and the matter doesn't need him here.
Centorea turned to look at Wash, with a shocked look, appalled that he would bring that up again, especially when it's the matter of A-Bomb's teammates and friends.
Ava step in with a defensive look, "As acting leader of S.P.D., I will allow Rick be a part of the matter, Agent Washington." She told Wash, coldly, as she knows that A-Bomb has every right to be here,
"That's enough, you two came in wanting questions, so I'd advice that you ask them now." Fury said to A-Bomb and Ava, not wanting to just sit and listen to Wash and them arguing.
A-Bomb then took a deep breath, before looking at Fury, straight in the eye. "Who did this..?" He asked, wanting to know did this to Jaime and Flash.
Nick and Wash looked at A-Bomb, before the two of them turned to have a quick glance with each other, until turning back to A-Bomb.
"That is classified." Fury tells A-Bomb since Reese told him not to tell A-Bomb about Kyoya, even with what Kyoya did to Jaime and Flash, Fury wasn't going to tell him or any of the team.
A-Bomb had a frustrated and disbelieved look on his face, "Are you serious, Fury! This isn't just some soldier flesh wound, these are our own, we have rights to know who did this, and if you actually think that we're just gonna take it, sitting down, that you are sorely mistaken, Fury!" A-Bomb ranted at Nick, with anger, as he turned and walked out of his office.
Ava turned to look at Fury, Washington and Centoea, with a disappointed scowl, "You may think that all soldiers are expendable, but one of own is never..." Ava replied, coldly, as she turned and exited the office, following A-Bomb.
Nick kept a straight and serious expression, while Centorea had a concerned look,
Wash then turned to look at Fury, "So, what now, sir?" He asked what they were going to do about Kyoya.
Fury then turned to look at Wash, "We tried doing Dr. Drake's way, now we do it my way." He tells them, as capturing and containing Kyoya failed; now Fury was going to send an army to kill Kyoya.
Centorea turned to look at Fury, with conflicted look.
A few hours later, it was midnight, and in the SHED, in the living area, Randy, Julie and Ava were sitting on the couch, while Metabee was sitting on the arm of the couch.
As they couldn't stop thinking about Jaime and Flash,
While A-Bomb and Kaikaina were pacing around behind the couch, with Kaikaina having a worried look, as she was really worried of Flash,
"Ahem," The sound of Centorea's voice was heard, getting everyone's attention, as A-Bomb and Kaikaina stopped and the whole team turned to look at Centorea, as the centaur was standing in the hangar doorway, as she was holding a small oval device in her right hand.
"Director Fury and Washington may think that you're not mature enough to understand how things are done here, but I think that each of you have shown an exponential care for their fellow man, especially when it's one of your own." Centorea explained to them, with a straight face, as she walks towards them.
Everyone looked confused on what Centorea was talking about,
"What are you talkin' 'bout, Cerea?" Metabee asked her, as he widen up his right eye.
Centorea then lifted up her right hand, showing the device in it, as she looked at the team of teens, with a calm expression, "Leeway," She tells them, as she presses a button on the device, which projects a holo-screen.
"About a week ago, a prisoner broke out of an S.H.I.E.L.D. facility and is now currently on the loose, Director Fury sent Jaime and Flash too recapture him, but unfortunately for Flash and Jaime, it end as we'd hoped. Now, Director Fury will not heisate to send an army to kill the fugitive." She explained to them,
"Fury's willing to send an army for one escaped convict? Seems a little excessive." Julie said, looking confused,
"Good! Whoever did this to Flash and Jaime deserves what's coming' to 'em!" Kaikaina retorted, with anger on her face.
"Take it easy, Kai, whoever did is gonna get theirs, but I'm more curious on why Fury didn't send us?" Ava asked, with a puzzled expression, why Fury only send in Jaime and Flash and didn't even say a word about to any of them.
"That's one of the reasons why I wanted to talk to you, Director Fury made an agreement with Dr. Drake to send a small team to capture the prisoner, if that failed, and then Director Fury would have not hesitations to kill him." Centorea tells them,
A-Bomb's eyes widen in surprise at hearing that Reese is involved in this, "Mom? What does she have to do with any of this?" He asked,
Centorea felt that it was best to show him, as the holo-screen had a picture of Kyoya, when he was still asleep in that tank,
A-Bomb had shock and horror slapped onto his face, as his mouth opens with a speechless expression, as he slowly walks around the couch and over to the holo-screen, to see if it was really Kyoya.
Julie, Randy, Metabee, Kaikaina and Ava noticed A-Bomb's shock,
"Wait, Rick, do you know that guy?" Randy asked him, looking confused,
"He's... my brother..?" A-Bomb uttered, overwhelmed with questions, Kyoya was the prisoner that escaped, and more importantly, all this time, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been keeping him in lock-up and they never told him...
Meanwhile, in the dead of night, in a harbour in South Korea,
A boat was docking on the boardwalk and gently hopping off on to it, was Kyoya, as he had a dead serious look, as he began walking,
He was one step closer to Reese…
(Author's notes - I'M ALIVE! Sorry, this one really got away from me, had to deal with some work related things, got stuck in a bit of a rutt, but hopefully it has passed, good amount of action and drama in this chapter, really proud of myself, and for those who are wondering about the status of Secret of Terra and Tale of the Chameleon, I have still on them, but they'll just be a little longer to do, but I appreciate everyone's patiences and I hopefully I'll get some chapters finished soon.)
