Deep within the African Jungle, Dr. Grey was studying some of the jungle plants for research.
Dr. Grey was on her knees and writing in her notebook, as she studying a purple flower.
"Exquisite... Simply beautiful..!" Dr. Grey said to herself as she looked at the flower, "You never find anything like that in Jump City." Dr. Grey started writing her research in her book.
But then a bug lands on her helmet's faceplate, causing her to stop writing and sees the bug on her helmet, she smacks her helmet, where the fly was and it flies off her.
"Then again we don't have mosquitoes the size of pigeons." Dr. Grey said, annoyed as she swings her left arm around, trying to swat the bug away, she stands up and tries to get the big to fly away "Shoo! Get outta here!" She yelled at it, but she swings her arm and trips on her own feet, causing her to fall to the ground.
Dr. Grey lifted her head up from the grass and sees the big fly, flying in front of her; she gets back up and tries to get rid of it.
"Shoo! Get away from me!" Dr. Grey yelled at the bug as she swings her arms.
But unknown to Dr. Grey, there was something in the trees, hiding in the shadows and watching Dr. Grey down below.
The bug lands on something, Dr. Grey walks up to it and held her hand up, "That's it... Prepare for a sound swatting!" She yelled out.
She then smacks her hand on the bug, killing it, but unfortunately for Emily, she smacked her hand on the rear end of a rhino, which was just eating some grass until something hit its butt.
Dr. Grey lifted up her hand and looked at the palm which had the squashed remains of the bug.
"Ha! Didn't see that coming now did you (?)" Dr. Grey mocked the squashed bug,
But then a strong push of wind, caused her to be pushed a little, Dr. Grey turns around and sees the rhino, facing her, with a look in its eyes like it's ready to charge,
"Oh... Uh... Got it..." Dr. Grey said to the rhino, sheepish in fear.
The rhino starts growling, which made Dr. Grey screamed in terror and ran away with the rhino now chasing her.
Dr. Grey ran as fast as she could from the rhino,
But in the trees, something was watching Dr. Grey being chased, but then a boleadora was thrown out of the trees and hits the ground, that the rhino was about to cross. It explodes which causes the rhino to stop as the small explosion, scared it and made it stop chasing Dr. Grey and ran off.
Dr. Grey stopped running and turned around, after hearing those little explosions, "Huh?" She said, in confusion, as she saw the rhino run away.
She slowly walked around as she didn't know what just happened,
"Uh... Hello? Is anyone there?" Dr. Grey said, nervously as she looked around.
But behind her, the thing that has be hiding in the shadow, jumps out of the tree and slowly emerges from the shadows,
Dr. Grey heard the sound and turns around to look at the thing, "Oh well, you're an interesting looking person..." She said to the thing,
But what she really saw when the thing steps out of the shadows, was a tall humanoid leopard man.
This shocked Dr. Grey as she never saw something like a leopard man before. She started to get a little scared as the leopard man steps closer towards her. "...I-I-I don't suppose I... uh..." Emily steps away from the leopard man in fear but then she stopped and turned around, to see another leopard man that looked at her, as it roared like a leopard.
"Oh... Dear..." Dr. Grey said, in fear as the two leopard men came closer towards her.
Meanwhile, in an S.H.I.E.L.D. base camp in the jungle, there were reports of strange activity in the African Jungle, S.H.I.E.L.D. sent Ava and the Enforcers to investigate,
In a tent, Ava was laying on her back, reading a book, just passing the time.
Then Cricket pops her head into the tent and looks at Ava, "Hey, Av, Tuck and Momo needs your help on the jeep." She told Ava, which made her stop reading and look at her.
Ava rolled her eyes as she gets up and gets out of her tent, she sees Tuck and Momo working on the jeep's engine, as Nana was sitting on a crate, filing her nails.
Ava walked over to the jeep, "What's wrong?" She asked Tuck and Momo,
Tuck looked at her, "The jeep's suspension is a little off." He told her,
"Uah! Mind telling me why we're in this disgusting, filthy land again?" Nana said, all snobby as she gets off the crate and looked at Ava with annoyance.
"There were reports with some strange occurrences; Fury wanted us to investigate with Dr. Grey." Momo explained to Julie, while Ava and Tuck were checking the engine,
But then Ava lifted up her head, as her eyes widen in realization, "Wait a minute, when did Dr. Grey leave the camp?" She asked,
Nana shrugged her shoulders, "I think it was around breakfast." She tells Ava,
Ava looked at her watch on her wrist and looked at the time, "It's almost noon, and she hasn't reported back, it's going to get dark soon." Ava mentioned,
Cricket walked up to Ava with a sudden worried look on her face, "You think she got lost?" She asked her.
"If she did, that we gotta find her, the jungle isn't safe, especially at night." Ava told her teammates, with a concerned face.
Meanwhile, in a temple hallway, where there were rows of bowls of fire on pedestals, Dr. Grey was being escorted by the two leopard men, down the hall.
Dr. Grey looked at the texture and scenery of the hallway, as she walked down it. "I have got to say, for a non-human or alien species, you have a surprisingly develop architecture..." She mentioned,
But then one of the leopard men pushed her into a room, which looked like a throne room. Dr. Grey hits a pedestal and knocks an urn off the top, and it falls on top of her helmet.
"Help, somebody turned out the lights!" Dr. Grey cried out, with her head stuck in the urn and running around the room.
As Dr. Grey was running around, in the shadows, where the throne was, a woman steps out of the shadows,
The woman was beautiful; she had lightest dark skin, cyan eyes with slit pupils like a cat, her hair was platinum blonde and messy, she was wearing jet black and maroon bikini top and matching sarong, with what appear to be canine teeth (possibly a leopard's) decorating the edges. She was wearing golden earrings with wrist, ankle, and arm braces as well as golden necklace, attaching her long menacing cape to her bikini top is a single red ruby in a gold frame.
She was holding a gold staff with a head of a leopard on top of it with a red gem in its mouth.
The woman watched Dr. Grey run around the room... She didn't look impressed, "My, my... What a surprise (!) You found a trespasser, wondering in the outskirts of my city..." She said to the leopard men, coldly.
But Dr. Grey walks into something, making a huge clank sound, which made the woman jump a bit, before looking annoyed slightly.
"She really looks like someone, worth my time... If I was looking for a court jester!" The woman yelled at the leopard men, in fury, "I do not wish to be called upon for weak outsiders! It really angers me..." She said, coldly,
As she pointed her staff at the two leopard men and blasts them with a green blast, which vaporized them into thin air, leaving nothing but their clothing.
Two other leopard men looked shock at seeing their brethren are vaporized and then look at their queen.
"Idiots..." The woman said, with coldness in her voice, to the now vaporized leopard men, as she lowers her staff.
Dr. Grey walks passed the woman, with the urn still stuck over her head. "Help! It's dark in here!" Dr. Grey cried out,
The woman walks down some steps, walking passed Dr. Grey, "Perhaps the guards would find this fool more appealing than I do." She said to the two leopard men, as she walked passed them, as she walked, she turned her head slightly to the left to look at them. "Execute her," The woman ordered them.
The two leopard men, grabbed Dr. Grey's arms and starts dragging her away,
"Are we going somewhere?" Dr. Grey said, confused as she gets dragged off.
Somewhere in the jungle,
The team was all in the jeep, as Tuck was driving it down through the jungle, while Ava was sitting next to him in the passenger seat, tinkering with her watch.
Cricket, Nana and Momo were all sitting in the back,
Momo looked through some binoculars, looking at the passing trees, "So, how are we gonna find the Doc?" Momo asked, lowering the binoculars and looked at Ava,
"Dr. Grey always plans ahead; she had a tracking device installed into her helmet, in case of her getting lost... or something worse..." Ava explained to her, as she had a lock on Dr. Grey's tracker on her watches holo-screen.
Tuck drove the jeep towards the mountains, driving up a path, up it, rolling up a rocky path, with Cricket, Momo and Nana being moved around a bit.
Following Ava's map, the jeep reaches the top of the mountain, everyone got out of the jeep and all of them looked in awe as they saw that in the mountain, was a giant stone city,
Ava, Tuck, Nana, Cricket and Momo all looked speechless as they looked at the city.
"Is that... A city?" Cricket said, looking amazed but also confused.
"I would believe so... but what's it doing here?" Ava replied, more confused than her as well.
Nana and Momo took a good look at the city,
"It's almost like the architecture on Planet Deviluke." Momo mentioned, turning to face her sister, as the city reminds her of her and Nana's home planet.
"Mm, except it was easier on the eyes compared to this place." Nana retorted, with a straight face, as this city looks deserted and slowly crumbling to ruin.
Ava rolled her eyes as she looked back at her holo-map. "Hm... It said that Dr. Grey is somewhere in that city." Ava said, as she pointed her finger at the city.
Tuck, Momo, Cricket and Nana all ran into the city, but as Ava ran with them, something in her pocket was admitting a noise and glowing brightly, which gets her attention, as she stopped, looking at her pocket confused, as she reaches her right hand into her pocket.
She takes out her White Tiger Amulet, as it was glowing very brightly, Ava stared at her amulet, with a look of wonder, as she's never seen her amulet do this.
The place where a horn was being blown was a building, inside the building, some leopard men were standing in rows, as Dr. Grey was strapped to an execution table.
Dr. Grey was scared, "Uh... OK... I don't think that there may be a chance, you'll let me go and I'll forget about the thought of dissecting you for scientific study..." Dr. Grey said to the leopard men, scared and nervously.
But then a red light shined the whole room, Dr. Grey and the leopard men all looked up and saw that a giant red ruby was on the wall, was begin magnified by the sun and a beam of burning light shined, on top of the table and slowly moving downward, heading for Dr. Grey.
All the leopard men all watched as the beam was slowly getting to Dr. Grey, to slice her in half.
"Dr. Grey!" The sound of Ava's voice entered the room, which made the leopard men turn and look at the entrance.
They saw the Enforcers standing at the doorway, with Ava now in her White Tiger costume,
Nana and Momo both charges in and jumps up, both did a front flip and delivers a double kick at two leopard men, knocking both of them to the floor.
White Tiger and Tuck all runs in to join Nana and Momo in the fight, while Cricket leaps across the room, towards Dr. Grey to free her.
Tiger tackles a leopard man to the ground and she looked at it with confusion. "What are you..?" Tiger said, not sure if their aliens or experiments gone awry, but then another leopard man appears and tackles White Tiger to the ground, but she did a roll and kicks it's off her, as she gets back on her feet.
Then Momo ran in to help Tiger and both of them kicked and punched some leopard men away from them.
Tuck saw some leopard men charging towards Tiger and Momo, holding spears, he quickly jump up and stretches his legs and walks off each of the leopard men's heads. "Excuse me! Pardon me! Coming through!" Tuck told the leopard men as he runs on their head, knocking them down.
As Tiger, Momo, Nana and Tuck were fighting, Cricket reaches the execution table, as she tries to break Dr. Grey's restraints.
Dr. Grey turned to look at Cricket, "Cricket, this is astounding! These creatures are nether leopard or man! Think of the scientific discoveries that lies within them, where did they come from, what form of fractured evolution caused this!" She said, completely excited as her curiosity is flared up at what scientific curiosity these leopard men hold.
Cricket was still trying to break Dr. Grey's restraints, "Uh yeah, Dr. Grey, that sounds awesome but how about we focus on trying to avoid you being cut in half!" Cricket told Dr. Grey, nervously, as she rips one restraint off and goes to get the others,
But then White Tiger was on the steps and quickly saw a leopard man, about to slice her with an axe, but Tiger quickly jumped up and grabbed the leopard's shoulders and tossed it away from her.
As the fight was going on, from on top of a balcony, the woman with the leopard staff opens some curtains and steps forward, on the balcony.
The woman didn't look so happy, "All I asked is a moment of... peace..." Her angered expression changed into a look of awe, as she looked down below and saw White Tiger, who was still fighting the leopard men. The woman saw the mask Tiger was wearing and sees the White Tiger Amulet that was attached to Tiger's belt, the woman's eyes widen, as if she just seen a ghost.
"It can't be..." The woman whispered to herself, speechless as she watched White Tiger fight, she then turned to look at her staff and saw that the gem in the leopard's mouth was glowing brightly.
Meanwhile, Cricket broke two of Dr. Grey's restraints off and just had two more to go, but the beam of light was getting closer toward Dr. Grey's head. "Uh... Cricket, don't want to rush you, but we're running out of time!" Dr. Grey said to Cricket, scared,
Cricket saw that the beam was almost near Dr. Grey's head; she quickly jumps up and swings her left foot, delivers a powerful kick and shatters the two remaining restraints, freeing Dr. Grey.
Cricket helps Dr. Grey up and both of the starts running, but they were stop by two leopard, who stood in their way.
But then Tuck stretches both his fists and delivers a double punch at two leopard men, square in their jaws, knocking them to the ground.
Nana and Momo ran over to Cricket and Dr. Grey and they all started running toward the exit.
The woman saw them about to escape, she then slammed the bottom of her staff on the floor and some green energy started moving around her and teleported her.
The Enforcers and Dr. Grey was almost at the exit but was stopped when a green bolt of lightning hits the floor near the exit, the team all saw the woman emerged from the smoke, glaring at all of them.
Everyone looked surprised; they knew that this woman had to be in charge of all of this,
The woman looked at them with an un-caring expression on her face. "Allow me to apologize, sometimes these leopard men can get so out of hand." La apologized to them,
"Out of hand!? They gagged Dr. Grey!" Momo yelled at her,
"And they nearly cut her in half!" Cricket added,
The woman sighed, "They find something in the jungle, and they just have to execute it!" She explained to them,
But then Dr. Grey stepped forward, near the woman, "Well, no harm, no foul, no major damage, all limbs still attached! So again, no harm, miss... I'm sorry, what's your name?" Dr. Grey asked her.
"I am La... Queen La!" She introduced herself to them, "And who are you?" La asked the team, as she had a very suspicious glare on her face.
Tuck steps forwards, with a serious look on his face, "I'm Tuck, and this is Cricket, Momo, Nana and..." Tuck introduced everyone but White Tiger, because La raised her hand to stop him from talking.
Queen La just looked at Tiger as she takes a step forward, near her, which made Tiger look a little uncomfortable, La obverses every bit of Tiger, her mask, her black ponytail and more importantly, she looked at the White Tiger Amulet, as it was still glowing brightly.
White Tiger noticed her looking at her amulet, as she noticed that it was glowing brighter than before, Tiger then looked at La's staff and sees the gem was glowing just as brightly as the amulet.
La had a look of speechlessness as she looked at Tiger, "It couldn't be..." La said to herself White Tiger; she reached her right hand to Tiger's face, as if she wanted to touch Tiger's face.
But Tiger stepped back from La as she glares at her, she looked at her amulet and saw the glowing died down a bit, Tiger looked back at the staff and sees the gem's glow dies down a bit as well, she knew that something was going on with the amulet, and it had something to do with that staff, and who is woman was, was another question.
La just stared at Tiger, as it looked like she was about to cry, "You have the amulet and you wear his mask..." La said to her, as tears started forming at her eyes.
Tiger gets more confused and uncomfortable, this woman acted like she knows her, but Tiger had never seen this woman before in her life, but for some reason, in the back of her mind, she feels like she's seen that staff before.
How did La know about the White Tiger Amulet and why did she say 'His mask', was she referring to Tiger's father Hector, did she know him.
La just stood there, tears were rolling down her cheeks, as her eyes were widen and had a smile of pure and total ecstasy, "Ava...?" She asked, which made Tiger's eyes slowly widen on hearing that.
Tiger was now scared, La knew who she was behind her mask, then, suddenly, from out of nowhere, Tiger had an idea pop in her head on who this woman was...
Tiger takes another step back, with a very scared look in her eyes, "Who... Who are you..?" White Tiger asked Queen La, really wanting to know the answer,
La then steps forward and reaches both her hands towards Tiger's mask and slowly lifted up her mask, revealing Ava's face, which looked confused and scared, while La cups the left side of Ava's face with her left hand.
La kept crying as she just gazed at Ava,
"Ava... My daughter..."
Ava gasped in shock; as if she just in inhaled a ton of air just entered her lungs, as her teammates all looked surprised as well on what La just said.
La had a heartfelt smile as she slowly rubs Ava's cheek in her hand, while Ava was completely speechless,
Ava looked like she was about to faint... This could be real to her, Hector told her that her mother died when she was a baby, and yet this woman claims she is...
Sometime later, now in a chamber that had a balcony, Queen La and Ava (Who was out of her Tiger costume) enters the room, as Ava and La needed to speak in private.
Ava was on the balcony, staring out at the ruins, outside it was now night, while Ava having a calculating look on her face as she still processing all of this.
La walks to her, with a calm smile on her face, as she stands beside Ava and observed her appearance. "My... You've blossomed into such a beautiful young woman..." La tells Ava,
"Stop!" Ava yelled out at La, making her jump, as Ava had a frustrated look on her face, "Just... I need to think... It's just too much..." She tells La, as she needed to think and wrap her head around all of this, as she grips her hands on the stone railings tightly.
La had a concerned look on her face, as she understood what Ava was going through, she's happy to see Ava, but she had questions she need to hear,
Ava takes a deep breath, calming herself down and exhales, "OK... Now... I'm open to discussion..." Ava said, calmly as she turned to look at La, with a straight face.
La gives a look of solemn, "I'll answer whatever questions you ask," She tells Ava, ready and waiting for Ava's questions.
"Questions... What could I possible ask..? You claim to be someone I've been told had died when I was a baby, you honestly expect me to believe that you're my mother..?" Ava said to La, with a cold tone of voice, as she doesn't believe La claims to being her mother.
After hearing that, la looked confused, "Wait, you thought I was dead?" She asked Ava,
"Yeah, my dad told me that my mother die when I was just a baby." Ava tells Queen La,
"Hector told you I was dead... I thought you and him were dead?" La retorts back,
Ava looked at La, still not convinced that La is who she says she is, Ava thought about all of this logically, La merely claims to be her mother, but hasn't given any really information or evidences that says otherwise.
Ava narrows her eyes at La, "I want to hear what you know; say any information you know about me." She told her,
La looked at Ava, as her expression had a confident look, "Your name is Ava Ayala, you were born on December 11th, you're 17 years old, your father is Hector Ayala and your grandfather was Nestor Ayala, both wore the mask of the White Tiger. And you have the cutest little mole behind your left ear." La explained, ending with a small smile,
Ava was surprised, La knew about the day she was born, about her dad and grandpa, and the fact that they were White Tigers before her, and the fact that really grabbed Ava's attention was the little mole behind her ear.
"Look, I understand that you're confused and scared, I wouldn't want overwhelm you anymore than I've already have, it's late and you must be tried, I've had bed chambers prepared for you and your friends." La tells Ava, with a concerned look on her face,
Ava was still unsure to trust La, despite being so kind and understanding on what she is going through,
"I won't force you to stay, if you wish to leave... Then you can leave..." La tells Ava, with a sadden look on her face, as she didn't want Ava to leave, but she only thought of what was best for her.
Ava looked at her, feeling so conflicted, La obviously knew so much about her, and she knew her dad, there was a great curiosity and wanting to know if La truly is her mother.
"Alright, I want to talk more about this tomorrow, I need to sleep on this." Ava tells La,
La smiled brightly, as she nodded, "Of course," She said, simply,
Ava and La stared at each other, before Ava turned and began to walk out of the room, when she reached the exit; she turned her head to the right to take a quick glance at La, before turning back and exits the room.
Now in a chamber, the gang was inside, the chamber had five beds, enough for each.
Cricket and Momo were sitting on one bed reading magazines they had in their backpacks, Tuck was hanging upside down with a beam between to supports, doing upside down pull-ups. Dr. Grey was writing notes in her book about the city and the leopard men; Nana was lying on her bed.
Ava was standing outside, on the balcony, leaning her elbows on the stone railing, staring at the night sky.
Nana stood up and looked at her friends, "Are you sure it's a good idea to stay in a place full of vicious leopard men?" She asked about this, as she feels uncomfortable with staying overnight.
Tuck stopped his pull-ups and looked at Nana, "Hey, I don't like staying the night in a place filled with anthropomorphic leopards that almost killed Dr. Grey, but the hostess is a smokin' hot queen of the jungle cats, so I've already gotten over it." Tuck said, as he chuckled a bit,
Cricket looked at Tuck with disgust, "Tuck, that's Ava's mom!" She told him, to stop crushin' on Ava's mother, as there was a rule against diggin' on your friend's mother.
"HEY! Read the room!" Nana tells Cricket, as she turned to look at Cricket, with a serious look, as Cricket and Tuck both turned and looked at Ava, who was still standing at the balcony,
They both realized that Ava's going thought a lot right now, and they should address the matter more sensitively.
Momo, Nana, Tuck and Cricket looked at Ava, who just kept looking at the night sky, until Dr. Grey walks up to Ava, and stood next to her,
"All of this has been a little too much for you, hasn't it?" Dr. Grey asked Ava,
Ava sighs, as she turns to look at Dr. Grey, "Everything I thought I knew is getting called into question, Emily, I'm in a place I've never seen before, with a queen that claims to be a woman who has been missing throughout my whole life, all of this is just so much..." Ava explained to Dr. Grey as she turned around to look away from her.
Dr. Grey then puts her left hand on Ava's right shoulder, which made her turn her head to the right and looked at her. "Ava, I usually tend to be focused on the physiology of many of the unknown but I've seen this woman affection for you, the moment disbelief, which lead to complete happiness that had sadness to it. You can't act that kind of feelings, it's obvious that Queen La has the love that only a mother would have, I'm not telling you what to do, but if this woman is your mother, then lowering your walls down for a bit may keep you from being overwhelmed." Dr. Grey explained to Ava,
Ava stared at Dr. Grey then looked down on the floor as she thought about it,
Momo walked over to them and looked at Ava with a gentle smile on her face, "And La seems like a very kind woman." She mentioned her.
Meanwhile, in Queen La's royal chambers,
La enters her bedroom, looking impatient and angered, "Those outsiders must be disposed from Opar!" La yelled as she walked around the room.
As a leopard man was standing near a wall, watching its queen, walk around. The leopard man roars,
La stopped walking and turned to face it, "Yes, I know their friends of hers, but if Ava is to rediscover her roots, she must cut off her connections to the outside world..." La said to the leopard man, but then had an idea which made her face make a fiendish smile. "Well, it is a mother's job to do what's best for her daughter..." La smiled evilly, as she had a plan.
The next morning, Tuck, Momo and Nana were exploring the ruins of Opar, while Cricket was all doing some parkouring on some of the city buildings, jumping off roof tops, running down walls and flipping off stuff.
While down below, Ava and Dr. Grey was walking around, seeing the ancient city.
"This place is an archaeologist's dream, who knows what kind of secrets of the past we'll find here." Dr. Grey told them as they walked.
"Some which should remain hidden..." La's voice came in, which made them stop and turn around, to see La standing before them, "The city of Opar has been hidden from the world for a good reason,"
Momo smiled as she stepped forward towards La, "This place is beautiful, Queen La." She told her.
Ava looked at La, analyzing her hair color, facial structure and skin tone, Ava thought to herself on how her La has platinum blonde hair, which made her a bit more unsure on if La is her mother.
La notices her daughter was examining her, "Ava, I was hoping that... We could take a walk through the jungle and... Talk." La said to Ava, hoping to finally talk with her daughter, La then pointed her staff at the mountains, "The mountain springs of Opar are a stunning sight to behold!" La said to Ava, as she smiled at her daughter.
Ava looked at La, as she felt conflicted on wither or not go with her, she turned to look at A-Bomb, who gave her a smile, meaning for her to go with La.
Ava then looked back at her mother, with a faint smile on her face. "Uh... Sure... I'd... I'd be happy too." Ava told La, which made her smile happily to her daughter.
A few minutes later, now in the jungle,
Ava was now wearing track pants and a black tank top, with her hair tied into a ponytail.
She was standing on the ground and watched La, climb a tree with ease, now without her cape.
La stood on top of a tree truck and looked at her daughter, below. "Coming, Ava?" La smiled at Ava.
Ava cracked her neck and started climbing the tree as well, as she reaches the tree truck and stood up, next to her mother.
Ava and La both stood side by side as they looked deep in the jungle,
La turned her head to the side and looked at Ava, with a smile on her face. "Try and keep up!" La told her daughter, as she jumped off the truck and grabs on to a vine and swings off it.
Ava smile a little as she jumped off and grabs on to a vine as well,
The two of them swung through the jungle, until they let go of the vines, La lands on a tree trunk and starts running down it, as Ava held both her hands up and grabs on to a trunk and swings off it and lands on another large trunk and runs across it, La and Ava then reaches a bend on the trunk they were running on, and both leaps off it and lands on their ground, and La starts walking up a hill that lead to a cliff, Ava ran up from behind and she and La looked ahead and saw a view of two waterfalls that made a beautiful sight.
Ava looked amazed at the sight of the two waterfalls, "It's beautiful..." She said,
La smiled gentle, as she looks at the "This was your father and I's favourite place of Opar, we would spend hours here, usually always ended the day with us watching the sunset together," She tells Ava, reminiscing happy memories.
La's face then had a look of realization, as she turned to Ava, "Ava, is Hector alive? Is he with you now?" La asked Ava, with a look of hope, if Ava was alive, than her father Hector would be as well.
But Ava was then struck with a look of grief, as she turned to look at La, "He... Was killed when I was six..." She tells La of her father's fate.
La's look of hope immediately disappears after hearing of Hector's death, as she was greatly sadden by this, she'd hoped to see Hector again, but she couldn't imagine what Ava had to go through at the young age of six.
"I'm... So sorry, Ava..." La said to Ava, with a look of sadden,
Ava looked at La, with a serious expression, "I can assure you that I found Dad's killer a few months ago and took him down, but not before leaving my mark on him, I sliced off his arm." She explained to La, detailing her confrontation against Tiger Claw.
La then had a look of guilt, as she puts her right hand from Ava's left shoulder, "Ava... If I knew you were still alive... I would have torn across the ocean to find you, and I am so sorry that you had to go so long without a family." La apologized to Ava, as she looked like she was about to cry.
"It's fine, despite not having any blood-related family in my life, I was taking in by my Grandpa's oldest friend, Wildcat, who took care of me and trained me into the hero I am, and I've made a home and family I can call my own." Ava tells La, assuring that she wasn't alone.
La looked at Ava, it made her slightly happy that Ava was taken care of, but her feeling were still unwavering on the fact she's been raised by non-blood relatives.
As La removes her hand from Ava's shoulder, Ava had a hesitant look, as she lifted up her left wrist, showing her watch to La,
"Um... You've been patient and kind, but I just need to know for real..." Ava said to La, as she looks at La with a look of wanting.
La looked confused, not sure what Ava meant by that,
Ava then plucks off a single strand of her hair and her watch's face then opens up, where she places the strand of hair in it, "My watch has a DNA test, if you can give me just a strand of your hair, then in a few hours, I'll know if you're really my mother." Ava explained to La,
La looked at Ava; still looking confused, she's still needs to be sure,
Ava sees La's look, "I know that you've been telling everything to prove you're my mother, but I need really evidence to convince me, I've had my trust tested many times, and with something this important to me, I have to see if it's all true." She tells La, with a concerned look,
La stared at Ava, before she reaches her left hand to her hair and plucks out a single strand of her hair and hands it to Ava, she takes it and puts it into her watch along with her strand of hair, and Ava's watch then closes up and begins analyzing the DNA of both hairs.
Ava looked at her watch, in a few hours she'll know if La is truly her mother,
La then smiled at Ava, "Now, I'm ready for any of your questions," She tells Ava, as she's prepared to answer any questions Ava has in mind,
Ava looked up with La, and with a wide eyed expression,
Back at Opar, Dr. Grey and Cricket were walking on a bridge that was over the river that leads off a large waterfall,
Unknown to them, sneaking up from behind, were two leopard men, coming in closer towards the two of them,
Cricket then looked down, and her eyes widen as she saw the shadows of the leopard men behind them, as they raised their arms up to attack, but Cricket quickly reacted and grabs hold of Dr. Grey's waist and jumps forward, pulling her off the ground, but one of the leopard men managed to grab hold of Cricket's right leg, which stops her mid-air and causes her and Dr. Grey to hit the ground.
One of the leopard men, held Cricket by her neck and right ankle, while the other had a hold on Dr. Grey's arms, Cricket struggled as she was kicking her left leg, trying get free, Cricket manages to deliver a powerful kick to the leopard's head, breaking off one of its fangs, but leopard man still had a hold on Cricket and then walks over to the edge of the bridge, over the waterfall and threw her over the falls.
"CRICKET!" Dr. Grey yelled out in terror, as she is pushed off the edge next, as she let out a scream as she fell,
Tuck, Nana and Momo were at another part of Opar, until they heard Dr. Grey's scream, they all turned to where the scream came from and quickly ran,
Back in the jungle, Ava hears Dr. Grey's scream, which made her eyes widen, as she quickly turned to Opar,
"That's Dr. Grey!" Ava said, in shock, as she quickly sprints back to Opar,
Leaving La standing there, with a dark look on her face,
Ava makes it back to Opar, as she ran to the bridge, where she sees Tuck, Momo and Nana were there, with Tuck and Nana looking heart crushed and Momo looked like she was about to cry.
Ava ran up to them, "What happened?" She asked them,
Tuck looked at Ava, with a sadden look, "Cricket and Doc..." He said, as he turned to the edge of bridge, Ava quickly knew Tuck was signifying; that Dr. Grey and Cricket went over the falls.
Ava walked near the edge and looked down at the waterfall, with a sadden look, La walks up with two leopard men, with a shocked look,
"Oh my... Ava... your friends must have slipped... I'm so sorry." La says to Ava, with a look of concern,
Ava looked at La, before looked down at the waterfall, but she noticed, on the edge, there was footprints on the bridge, Ava obverses the footprints with a curious expression, as she turned and sees the broken fang with a small puddle of blood next to it, Ava then noticed that those footprints were leopard paints as there were Cricket's footprints along with it.
Ava's face was struck with a realization, there was a struggle, as she turned to look at the water, "Dr. Grey and Cricket didn't slip..." She said, before quickly turning to face La with a look of anger, "... They were pushed!" She yelled in fury,
La then puts on a gentle smile as she takes a step back, "You know how out of hand these leopard men can get; you remember the temple, right?" She said, trying to act innocent,
But Ava got angrier at La, "They only do what YOU tell them!" She yelled out in fury, not believing La and knowing that she ordered the leopard men to kill Cricket and Dr. Grey.
Ava then leaps out at La, to attack her, but two of the leopard men tackles her, pinning her to the ground, Tuck charges in to attack, as he stretches his left fist at one of the leopard men that was pinning Ava, but another leopard man grabs hold of Tuck's arm, before it could reach Ava, and it pulled on it, pulling Tuck off his feet and he hits the ground, and the leopard man pins him down, Nana and Momo were about to act, but another leopard man comes up behind and grabs hold of both their heads and slams them both together, knocking the twins unconscious.
The leopard men had Ava's arms restrained, as she struggles to get free, before looking at La with rage on her face, "So, this was just a set up to get us to drop our guard so you could take us down!" Ava said to La, with venom in her tone of voice.
La walks over and knees down to Ava's eye level, with a sympathetic look on her face, "I know that you're angry and confused, but this is not to hurt you." She tries to explain,
"'Not to hurt me'?! You killed two of my friends and expect me to believe that it was done for a greater good!?" Ava ranted at La,
"Ava, I trust you and I would never do anything to hurt you, but I don't trust outsiders, it was outsiders that lead Opar to its ruin and the death of our people." La explained to Ava her reasons,
Ava scowls at La, not believing her, "You killed my friends... Nothing you say will ever make me think you have my best interests at heart, you're nothing more that some sorceress who went insane and became a self-proclaim queen to a kingdom of slaves..." Ava tells La, harshly and with coldness in her tone.
That comment angers La greatly, "DO NOT TEST ME!" She yelled out, as she stands up and aims her staff at one of the leopard men and vaporize it out of anger,
Ava was unfazed by La's outburst, as she quickly calms herself down and looked at Ava with a gentle look.
"I am sorry, Ava, you will hate me for a while but this will be for your benefit." La tells Ava, as she turned to the leopard men that had Tuck restraint and the one who had the unconscious Momo and Nana on its shoulders. "Prepare them for the execution." La gives them their orders, as she plans to kills Tuck, Nana and Momo.
Unknown to anyone, hanging on to the cliff of the water, Cricket, still alive, as she held on to the rocky wall while she was hold Dr. Grey by her right arm, using her left leg's claw like toes, as the two looked up at the top.
Dr. Grey then looked at Cricket, "I'm beginning to retract my kind statement to Queen La." She tells Cricket, in an annoyed and outraged tone of voice.
Cricket carefully carries Dr. Grey over to the wall, and she grabs on to the rocky terrain, Cricket lets go of Dr. Grey's arm.
"Come on, we've gotta help the other!" Cricket tells Dr. Grey, and the two of them started climbing up the rock face, back up to the top.
Sometime later, it was sunset, now in the main temple,
Tuck, Nana and Momo were standing before an execution block, with them in chains, as the executioner was standing with a large executioner's axe in hand.
On the balcony, Ava was still being restrained by the two leopard men, as she had her White Tiger Amulet tied with some thin rope, which was around her neck, while La stood next to her, as they two were looking below, as Ava will be forced to watch her friends get executed.
Ava had a grim look on her face, as she turned to look at La, "If you really were my mother, you'd know that I'll hate you forever if you do this!" She tells La, making it clear,
La looked at Ava, "Ava, please, the last time strangers came to Opar, it lead to its ruin, and we are the last of our people, I will not let you lose sight of your birthright." La explains to Ava, with a concerned look,
Ava scowls at La, not letting her play the sympathy card on her again,
Outside the temple, Dr. Grey and Cricket were running towards the temple's entrance, the two quietly opens the door and peaked through the gap and seeing inside, they see that Tuck was being force to walk to the chopping block, being the first to be executed.
Cricket looked horrified as she and Dr. Grey walked back from the temple, she turned to look at Dr. Grey, "What do we do?" She asked her,
Dr. Grey observers the temple and sees a lit torch in its holder, Dr. Grey had an idea,
Back inside the temple, Tuck was forced on his knees and puts his neck onto the chopping block, Nana and Momo both look scared, on the balcony, Ava angrily struggles to get free, but the leopard men's' hold on her was too strong for her to get free, Tuck put on a brave face, as the executioner then lifted up their axe, high over their head, as it was prepared to kill Tuck.
Ava looked with horror, until her eyes widen as she smells something in the air, she quickly knew that the smell was smoke, she quickly turned and sees at the entrance and saw that smoke was coming from the outside, La noticed the smell of smoke as well, as her eyes widen.
As executioner was about to throw its axe down, it stopped as it smelt the smoke and it and the other leopard men turned and sees the smoke outside,
"What?" La said, as she uses her staff to teleport from the balcony to the entrance and walked out of the temple to inspect, to La's shock, she sees the tapestries around the temple had been set of fire, and the fire had was spreading across the area.
But then, in the temple, smashing through the roof was Cricket as she falls to the ground, catching everyone by surprise, as a large piece of debris falls and hits the executioner, knocking it to the ground, as the axe drops and hits the block, lucky only mere inches from Tuck.
La then quickly turned to look and sees Cricket, as she lands on the ground and turned to look at Tuck, Momo and Nana,
"Cricket, you're alive!" Momo said, as she and Nana smiled with happiness at seeing Cricket okay,
Cricket quickly swings her right leg and delivers powerful kick to Tuck's shackles, shattering them, freeing him, as he quickly gets back up on his feet, Tuck grabs hold of the axe and pulls it out of the block and held it up with both hands and ran over to Nana and Momo, as he swings it down and slashes their chains, freeing them as well.
Ava sees this and knew this was the time to act, she looked at both leopard men and the White Tiger Amulet started to glow brightly, Ava quickly leaps upwards, and with great strength, slams the two leopard men together, causing them to let go of her arms, now free, Ava lands behind them, where they turn to face her, and Ava swiftly delivers a right punch to one of them, knocking it off the balcony, the other leopard man charged at Ava, and swings its left claw at her, but Ava grabs it with both hands and then shifted her body around and performs a over shoulder throw, tossing the leopard man off the balcony as well.
Nana aims her tail and fires a bolt of lightning which hits a leopard man off its feet and flies and knocks into some other leopard men, Momo delivers a left uppercut, knocking a Leopard man down, before she quickly turned around and throws a right punch to one Leopard man and then swings her left fist and punches another leopard man as well, Cricket sees two leopard men charging towards, just when they reach her, Cricket tucks and rolls on her back and tucks her legs in and when her feet touches their stomachs and kicks her legs out straight and launches them up high and smashes into the roof.
Ava jumps off the balcony and lands on her feet, she ran over to the Enforcers, "Come on, we're getting out of here!" She tells them, as she, Tuck, Cricket, Momo and Nana all ran for the exit.
Once they make it out of the temple, they see the fire, which has spread across Opar, fire was everywhere, they then continued running,
"Ava!" The cry of La's voice was heard, which made Ava stop running, as she turned around and looks at La, who stood there, with a look of pleading, Ava narrowed her eyes at La, as they two were surrounded by fire.
"Please... I don't want to lose you again..." La tells Ava, as she doesn't want Ava to leave her,
Ava scowls coldly at La, as she wasn't going to be swayed by her words,
Then, stepping out into the open was Dr. Grey, as she stands in front of Ava, looking at La, "I think Ava's had enough 'motherly' love for one day (!)" Dr. Grey tells La, with a bitter tone of voice,
La was angered by that comment, and she aimed her staff at Dr. Grey and the gem fires a beam of energy at her,
Ava quickly reacts, as her eyes became slit pupils and turned green, as the White Tiger Amulet started to glow, and she held up her right hand, as it started to glow bright green, she then charges forward, towards the beam,
"Here I go!" Ava yelled out, as she throws her right shining claw at the beam and they clash, both sides pushed with great power, but Ava's shining claw, as it began to push the beam back, before forming into a shield.
La sees this, to her surprise and in her perspective, Ava changed to an image of another White Tiger, but this one's mask only cover her eyes and not her mouth and nose.
And then, sudden Ava's shining claw and the beam cancels each other out and blasts a shockwave that pushes Ava back, grinding her feet across the ground, back to Dr. Grey and the Enforcers, as La lowered her staff.
La and Ava stared at each other from afar, Ava with a serious scowl, as her eyes were still green and pupils slit, but her glow in her right hand disappears, while La had a look of concern.
Then, a large pillar that was on fire, which was in-between them, collapse and smashes between them, La took a step back, as the path to Ava was block, she looked through the flames, and to her shock, on the other side, Ava, Dr. Grey and the Enforcers were gone.
Leaving La there, as all around her, Opar was coated within flames…
It was now night, walking through the jungle back to the S.H.I.E.L.D. camp,
Ava was leading them, as her eyes goes back to their normal brown color as does her pupils.
Tuck, Nana, Momo, Cricket and Dr. Grey all looked at Ava with looks of concern, as they knew that what happened today had hurt Ava greatly.
Dr. Grey then walks up to Ava, looking at her, "Ava…" She said, as she was about to say something,
"If you're going to ask me if I'm alright, you're smart enough to know the answer (!)" Ava told Dr. Grey, coldly, as it was obvious that she wasn't alright
Dr. Grey looked at Ava, "Ava… I'm sorry about what happened…" She apologized, as it was the only right thing to say to Ava.
Ava's serious and grim look, slowly turned to a look of disappointment, as part of her wanted to believe that La was truly her mother, she wanted to know that she had a mother who loved her unconditionally and there were still so many questions she wanted to know the answers to.
Ava stops walking, as Dr. Grey and the Enforcers does as well, as she held up her watch, the DNA test she got from La was finish and the results were ready to be seen, but Ava, who had a sadden look, deletes the results before ever getting to see if La is her mother.
Dr. Grey and the Enforcers all looked confused on what Ava was doing, deleting the result that proves if La is her mother or not.
"As far as I'm concerned… That woman is no mother of mine…" Ava tells them, stating that tied by blood or not, in Ava's eyes, La was not her mother, as she had depressed look, as she turned and continued walking,
Dr. Grey, Cricket, Tuck, Momo and Nana all watched Ava, with empathy, but all they could do for Ava is let her have time for herself to think, but be there went she needs them, they continued walking through the jungle.
Meanwhile in Opar, the city was still in fire, and standing at a high tower, on a balcony, La walks to the stone railing, and sees the city in flames, she had a blank emotionless expression, as she rose up her staff in her right hand and rose up her left hand as well.
Then suddenly, the clouds quickly started to turn much heavy and it began to rain, the rain was putting out the fire all around.
La lowers her hands, as she watched all of it, she then held up her left hand, and in it was an old photo, which had a few burn areas around the corners, on the photo was La, as she was in a bed, kneeing next to her, was a man with Hispanic with brown hair and a moustache, as he was wearing that White Tiger suit.
The man in the photo was Hector Ayala, Ava's father,
In the photo, both La and Hector both looked so happy, as in La's arms, was a baby that was wrapped in a blanket, the baby had dark skin and a small tuff of brown hair, it was clear that the baby was Ava, as this photo was taken the day she was born.
La looked at the photo, with deep sadness, as the rain continued to fall, until her held the photo close to her chest, closing her eyes and began to quietly cry, now for her action, she had truly lost her daughter…
(Author Notes - Pretty happy with how this episode came out, I know there wasn't enough action, but I feel like this episode was good with it's story, I'll be putting Unity on hold for a bit to focus on Secrets of Terra and Tale of the Chameleon, finally doing something with them, also, for a side note, I'm doing a complete rewrite on season 1's episode "Wedding Daze")
