The week of parties and celebrations eventually settled down to allow the newlyweds to make their way to their proper honeymoon. The trip to Galdin Quay passed easily with minimal security following them. The resort at the beach town rolled out the red carpet for them, and of course, gave them the honeymoon suite to enjoy.

"Wow! I thought that the royal suites at the Citadel were fancy!" Prompto said as he snapped a few pictures. "But this is something else."

Noctis let out a low whistle. "I see why everyone raves about Galdin Quay. How scandalized will people be when we end up just bumming around a lot?" He laughed.

"There are going to be a lot of big stories on the news covers. I can see it now!" Prompto said as he waved his hand. "The royal couple go FISHING?! More on page twelve."

He laughed at that. "Oh, but we are definitely doing that. Well, I am. I imagine you'll find something awesome to take pictures of."

"Oh hell yeah, dude! This place is so beautiful. The sunset is going to be so amazing! We totally need to get some cute couple shots then."

"Then we'll definitely do that. Whatever you want, you've got it."

"But when do you want to go fishing? We need to split it up evenly."

"I'll consult with some of the locals, figure out when the best times to fish are. Might as well make it count, right?"

"Well I know how you get when there are fishing spots. This is the open ocean," Prompto said as he wrapped an arm around Noctis's waist. "I know how excited you are."

Noctis hummed at that as he pulled Prompto into a hold. "I'm pretty excited. I haven't had a chance to fish in this much open water in ages."

"But without Iggy, who's going to cook it for us?" Prompto chuckled.

"I bet I could ask the chef here nicely and get some cooked."

"True. I have heard the food is pretty good. Come on, let's go walk around!"

"Okay, okay, let's go!" Noctis looped their arms together so they could take a tour of the beach comfortably.

Along their walk across the Quay, people looked and took pictures. The two made no effort to try and hide themselves. It was their honeymoon after all, and they decided they could just relax and not worry about social stuff, just as long as the paparazzi didn't bombard them. Together they walked across the sands when Prompto noticed something near the entrance to the Quay. There was a van parked with people talking to a group of tourists. Sounds of small barks could be heard from that direction.

"Huh... I wonder what that's all about," Prompto muttered.

"Don't know. Want to go check it out?" Noctis offered. "Not like we have anything we have to get to right now."

"Yeah let's go and see what's up."

Noctis led them up to the road toward the van where the sound of barking got louder. "Dog show?" he mused.

The moment the tourists realized who the pair were, they parted to allow them toward the front. There, they were able to see the litter of small white puppies being shown off.

"Oh em gee!" Prompto shouted with glee. "Look at the cute little babies! They are sooooo tiny!"

"I didn't think puppies could be that small." Noctis whispered. "Go on, you should take a look."

Prompto ran up to the van, looking at the little pen that was set up where the puppies ran around. "Aww my heart is melting! These guys are the cutest little things ever!"

Noctis followed behind a bit slower, but he was smiling as he looked over Prompto's shoulder. "They're adorable." He agreed easily. "Are you selling them?"

"We are representatives of an adoption Central Lestallum. Today is our day to promote our little puppies in hopes someone will want to adopt one," the spokesperson stated.

Prompto turned around, his eyes wide and pleading. "Can we get one!? Please Noct? Pleeeeeease?"

"Oh that face is impossible. Dude, do we even know how to take care of a puppy?"

"We can figure it out! I once took care of a little puppy once for a few days. Ahh Tiny I miss you," Prompto sighed happily. "But now we can have our own tiny puppy!"

"Can't be harder than running a country, right?" Noctis laughed. "But you're responsible for Iggy."

"I'll take all the fuss if it means I can keep a cute tiny little puppy," Prompto grinned. He turned around and reached into the pen to pet the little puppies who were all barking excitedly.

"You know that means you have to pick one." Noctis teased.

"Aww but I can't decide! They are all so precious," Prompto pouted.

"Then no puppy." He managed to say with a mostly straight face.

Prompto stuck out his bottom lip. "You're mean. But fine! I will decide!" he looked down at the puppies. "Okay little guys! Which one of you is going to be the lucky royal puppy!"

The puppies started barking excitedly and one of them started jumping while still barking. Prompto grinned as he reached forward towards that one. "Okay, you got the most energy here buddy. So I think you are our lucky winner."

While Prompto got to know the puppy better, Noctis went over to the adoption specialist to start getting the paperwork started and a list of items they would need for the puppy. He couldn't help but smile fondly whenever he saw Prompto get swarmed by the puppy despite the size.

"I think we're good to go. You two are adorable."

"Aww you think so?" Prompto said as he held up their new puppy. "We gotta pick a good name for him though. It is a guy right?"

The worker came by to check and confirmed that this puppy was male. Prompto started to hum thoughtfully after that. "Okay! What would be a good name..."

"Well it can't be Tiny. You've apparently already had that. Though, I don't think I've heard that story." Noctis mused. "Let's take our puppy and get him some supplies to make him happy."

"Yeah for sure! Let me just get a name down so we can put it on the form. Hmm," Prompto started humming again as he looked at the fluffy little puppy in his hands. "How about Ziggy?"

"Ziggy sounds nice. Especially with how much energy he has. Little Zigster." Noctis smiled and reached out to pet the fluffy white head.

Ziggy barked joyfully as Noctis pet him, which just made Prompto all the more happy. "Aw he already loves us! Oh! This means we can dress him up in little outfits! It's going to be so cute!"

"Dress him up? Oh, like a bow tie?"

"Yes! Or even a sailors outfit! Can you imagine him looking even more adorable," Prompto cooed.

Noctis shook his head. "No, I really can't. That might be too adorable in our lives. You're playing with fire Prompto."

"Better make sure I don't get burned by adorableness," Prompto chuckled as they began to walk back to the resort.

"I'll make sure to keep a close eye out for you, just to make sure you don't get too burned." Noctis teased. "Though, I bet Ziggy won't mean to hurt you."

"Aw no you wouldn't hurt me, would you Ziggy?" Prompto asked as he held the dog up to his face. "You wouldn't want to hurt one of your new dads now would you? You just want to love us right?" Ziggy licked Prompto right on the nose. "That's right! Just a little guy full of love!"

Nyx looked at the pair of princes coming down the hall and shook his head. "Good evening, Your Highnesses. Did you. . . did you just get a dog? Can I be blunt for a moment?"

Prompto held Ziggy securely in his arms as he nodded. "Yup! This is our new son, Ziggy! Isn't he just the fluffiest thing ever?"

"He's definitely very small and fluffy." Nyx replied, biting the inside of his cheek.

Noctis sighed through his smile. "What are you thinking Nyx? You have something in your head."

"I'm just thinking, I'm guarding a gay stereotype, and it might be the most adorable thing I've ever seen."

"Heeey, what do you mean by a stereotype?" Prompto asked as he narrowed his eyes.

"Nothing bad, just, if you weren't married, you're basically moving in and adopting a dog like a child. It's pretty perfect. You two are adorable."

"Well Ziggy is our little child now! So I take all of that as a compliment."

"Don't worry Nyx, we'll take good care of our new son. And you don't have to take him for walks or anything." Noctis assured the Glaive.

"Thanks. Just make sure your friends know about. . . Ziggy before you show up. Or, don't, that might be fun too."

"Yeah yeah, we'll give Iggy a call tonight and let him know the news first," Prompto said as he waved off the thoughts.

"Then enjoy the rest of your evening, your highnesses." Nyx said with an easy salute.

Noctis shook his head as he opened the door and got them inside the room. "Do you think Iggy is gonna be upset with us?"

"When he sees little Ziggy all that anger will go away! Cause how could you ever be angry at this face," Prompto held Ziggy up to Noctis and right away the little puppy yawned.

Noctis smiled at the yawn and reached out to pet Ziggy gently. "I don't know if you could. I'd be impressed."

"But Ziggy!"

"I couldn't! But you know Specs! He's impressive sometimes."

"Well he is just going to have to deal with our new little son!"

Laughing quietly, Noctis leaned into Prompto while Ziggy wandered around the hotel room. "I hope you'll be this enthusiastic when we bring our children home one day."

"Oh? You're still thinking about the children stuff?" Prompto asked as he started taking many pictures of Ziggy wandering around the room.

"I mean. . . yeah. I guess it'd be nice to know we have a kid, or, I guess, I have a kid early enough for Dad to enjoy being a Granddad before the Wall-" Noctis stopped talking and just focused on the adorable dog to stop his emotions.

"Well he can have a grandkid and a... uh dog grandkid? granddog? But we still have to deal with all that other stuff. You know, the surrogate thing?"

"Yeah, which is kind of terrifying, but we can deal with the surrogate when we want to. I imagine there's a file somewhere for people to consider when the time is right."

"Yeah I mean we can't be raising kids at 18. That feels waaaay too young."

"Oh no, not now. I'm thinking a few years of just being us, then we think kids. But, I- can we have our first one earlier than later? For Dad?"

"Yeah of course. We can do it for dad," Prompto smiled. "But I still think he is going to love Ziggy."

"Oh, Dad will adore Ziggy. You know he will. Our biggest competition will be Iggy." Noctis laughed. "And, thanks, I know, I know sometimes royal requirements can be a lot." He added while leaning into Prompto's side heavily.

"Yeah I know. I do what kids you know. I would love to have a little kid cause they would just be the cutest. It's just a lot to think about right now."

"Oh sure. I don't have any idea how to handle a kid yet. I want a few years just to be. . . us. But, someday, we can be parents. Or at least try."

"We would be the best parents ever! Who wouldn't want two cool dorky guys like us as their dad?"

Noctis laughed at that. "I know we would definitely work very hard to be good parents for them."

"I would totally do that... after the way my parents treated me, I would never want my own kids to feel that way. Hey! I know we need a royal bloodline kid, but is there anything against also adopting?"

He considered that for a moment before shaking his head. "No, I don't think so. As long as the Crystal has a blood heir, I think we're good."

"Okay we totally need to adopt at least one kid. It just... it feels right for me."

"Totally, we should adopt one then. That sounds amazing." Noctis agreed before leaning over to press a kiss to Prompto's forehead.

"Sounds like a plan. We could tell that to Iggy first before introducing Ziggy. Maybe that'll lighten him up."

"Want to call him now? Or wait till later tonight?" He asked while wrapping his arms around Prompto to pull him in close.

"We can call now. Knowing him he is already freaking out we didn't call him every step of the way."

Noctis buried his head in his hands for a moment. "Yeah, yeah, let's call him now. This should be a fun call." He laughed.

They pulled open Noctis's phone and hit the video call option for Ignis. They waited a few moments before he picked up on the other end.

"Heo Noct. Prompto. I see you've arrived safely at Galdin. I presume the journey was pleasant?"

"Yeah, everything went to plan. Galdin is great. There's so much to explore, I promise it won't just be fishing."

"Yes, please do use your time wisely while there. But I am sure Prompto will make sure of that."

"Oh you beat! I've been making a scheduled plan ever since we arrived!"

"That's good to hear. Have you had a good first day for your honeymoon? Anything of interest?" Ignis asked.

Prompto looked at Noctis and grinned. "You could say that."

"Because I'm good at guessing your antics, show me?" Ignis asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Whaaaaaat?" Prompto said. "What do you mean by antics? I never said anything about antics!"

"You and Noct out alone in a new town? Antics." Ignis replied, only just holding back a smile.

"Fine. You got us! Noct hold the camera, I'll go get the surprise."

Noctis managed to get the camera and not drop it while Prompto went to gather up Ziggy quickly.

With a dramatic pause Prompto stepped back into frame, sitting back down next to Noctis. "Ta da! Met our little son!"

Ignis blinked for a moment before shaking his head. "What's his name?" he finally asked. "And have you started to get supplies for him? And should I book an obedience class for you?"

"This is Ziggy! He's a little maltese puppy! And uh... no. We kind of forgot to ask back at the little truck. And oh, could you?"

"I've ordered some supplies to be ordered later today." Noctis said easily. "I got a list from the adoption location. I knew that would be important. Especially puppy specific food."

"Thank you Noct. I'll get some obedience classes scheduled when you return to Insomnia. Send me the list of items you purchased, so I don't purchase duplicates." Ignis replied, a small smile reaching his lips.

"Aw thanks Iggy! See Noct? I knew he couldn't resist such a cute little face!"

"Oh, this is a very reckless move, Prom. but, I'll support you with this." Ignis added.

"But it's a puuuuuppy," Prompto whined. "He hit me with an adorableness status that I could not resist."

Ignis leaned into the camera with a raised eyebrow. "Should I be concerned about your ability to withstand certain animal types in the future?"

"Specs, be nice!" Noctis cried with a little laugh.

"Yeah! Be nice! I just needed little Ziggy! Don't you think he is just the cutest?" he held Ziggy closer to the camera, and the little puppy started to sniff the strange device.

The small white puppy made the stoic advisor break into a small smile for a moment. "He is rather adorable. I can see why you had to take him into your home."

"He was the best of the litter. No one could say no to him." Noctis added.

Prompto smooshed the little puppy up against his face. "And we are going to love him and take good care of him."

"And Ziggy's pretty well behaved already. He's great, Specs. Don't worry. We'll do our best with him." Noctis said while reaching forward to gently pet the small puppy.

Ignis did give a small sigh. "Well, you three seem rather close already. I wouldn't do anything to interrupt that bond. I hope you learn well in the future to take care of Ziggy."

"Oh yes we will take the best of care for him. He's our precious little boy," Prompto cheered.

"I know you'll do your best to take care of him. You two would never hurt anything if you could help it."

"Thanks for the vote of confidence, Iggy. Just wait until we are back! I'll let you hold him and everything," Prompto replied.

"Why thank you. I can't wait." Ignis said semi-flatly, though the smile broke the tone. "I can't wait to see him."

"Anything else you wanted to tell us or ask us about?"

Ignis shook his head. "Only that I wish for you two to enjoy your trip. We will keep everything in good shape until your return."

"Thanks Iggy. We'll be sure to have lots of fun before coming home." Noctis replied. "Don't work too hard, get it!" Then he reached over to turn off the call.

"Phew! Well I'm glad he approves!" Prompto said as he flopped back on the bed.

"Same. It'd be impossible to get anyone else to approve without him."

"Not even your dad?"

"Okay, well, does Dad really count?" Noctis laughed. "He pretty much supports everything we do."

"That's the point! He overrules Ignis so if we went to your dad first Ignis would have to say yes! If he didn't of course at first!"

"But at least with Ignis, we have the resources to give us to make sure we raise Ziggy right."

"That's right. Now, should we rest and relax or play with our cute new puppy!"

"A nap sounds kind of amazing right now." Noctis mused as he stretched out over the large bed.

"Okay you can start to nap, I'll stay awake until little Ziggy tires himself out," Prompto said as he watched Ziggy run around in circles.

Noctis twisted around enough so he could sling an arm around Prompto to keep him in a loose hold as he drifted off. "Hopefully he'll sleep soon." He mumbled. "So you'll join me."

"Don't worry, I'll be there before you know it," Prompto said as he planted a kiss on Noctis's forehead.

He didn't know how long it took for Ziggy to wear himself out as he drifted off to sleep soon after that. He just curled up around Prompto in a cat like manner to keep him close.
