Cedric watched Harry walk past him. His eyes subconsciously moved to Harry's butt, looking tight as he walked briskly. Cedric quickly realized that he was practically drooling and diverted his gaze.
Cedric had started…noticing Harry ever since the year started. Cedric wasn't, or at least had never thought of himself as homosexual, but couldn't suppress his attraction to Harry. The way his hair never lay flat, but messily covered his forehead; the way his jaw-line made him look so mature and well, manly; his bright green eyes that one could easily get lost in, and the feature of Harry that Cedric felt most ashamed about loving; Harry's butt.
"Ced!" shouted a voice. Cedric snapped out of his fantasy and turned around to see a group of his friends huddled around the table across the classroom in which study hall was being held. Cedric walked over.
"Take a look at these!' said Derek, brandashing several campaign-style badges at him. Cedric watched as the letters changed from Support Cedric Diggory to The Real Hogwarts Champion to Potter Stinks. Anger swelled up inside of Cedric.
"He's an alright guy, you know" he said angrily.
"Don't be such a good sport, Ced, he stole your glory"
Cedric waved his wand and the badges turned to ash in Derek's hands.
"Hey! We worked for hours making those" said Derek indignantly.
"I don't want people wearing those"
"Well I've already given out loads" replied Derek. "Word is the Slytherins are mass producing them."
Cedric pushed the ash filled hands up to Derek's face, covering him with it.
"Awww, c'mon Ced, don't be like that" called Derek, wiping away the soot with a flick of his wand.
Cedric stormed out of the room to see Malfoy flashing his badge just as it turned to Potter Stinks. Cedric curiously observed Harry's reaction. Harry actually didn't seem to care at all, but Cedric knew better. Anyone who looked into Harry's gorgeous eyes would see the pain behind them. Cedric looked back at Malfoy who wore a satisfied smirk on his face. Cedric performed the same spell on the badge and it turned to ash and fell to the floor. Malfoy's attention snapped to Cedric.
"What are you playing at, Diggory?" he asked, looking surprised. "It said 'Support Cedric Diggory on it."
"I don't want your support" spat Cedric.
"Whatever, Diggory" replied Malfoy with a shrug and he sauntered away. Harry looked awkward.
"Thanks" he said. Cedric took a step towards him.
"No problem. Listen, would you-"
"Cedric!" shouted a cheery voice. Cho was hurrying towards them.
"See you" said Harry, and walked away. Cedric was jealous of Cho; Harry fancied her.
Cho gave him a hug and then a kiss on the mouth. Cedric tried to hide his disgust. He couldn't take it anymore; kissing girls, lusting after boys. He broke Cho's embrace and ran.
"Cedric!" called a puzzled Cho, but Cedric was already around the corner.
"Harry!" he shouted. Harry stopped and, turning around, saw Cedric jogging towards him. He waited until Cedric was a few yards in front of him.
"What-" Harry began, but Cedric cut him off by locking him in a passionate kiss. Harry didn't pull away right away, which gave Cedric confidence, but when Cedric finally broke the kiss; he saw it was because Harry was in shock.
Everyone in the corridor was shocked as well; their eyes wide and mouths open. Cedric blushed. So long, spotless reputation he thought and looked back to Harry, who was still frozen.
"Harry?" asked Cedric timidly. Harry shook himself out of it and opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. Then he shook his head apologetically and walked away. Cedric pushed his way through the crowd, trying to hide his tears.
