Moments later Aggie came back with a refilled cup of cocoa. "Okay, I'm ready."
"The party was in full swing." NightStar said as she continues the story.
Mallory/Marcy Wu looked down saddly at her eggnog.
"Mallory!" Penelope/Pepa Madrigal and her daughter Dolly/Dolores Madrigal walked in. As the mother called out to her friend.
"Hey, Penelope..." Mallory said smiling a bit.
"Why, whatever is the matter, darling?" Penelope asked.
"Was it the eggnog? Oh, I knew I put in too much cinnamon!" Dolly said with worry.
"Oh, no, the eggnog was awesome, Dolly, I'm just mad at someone who was complaining about how awful Christmas is." The bird person frowned.
"I don't suppose that person's name starts with "Xuĕ"?" Penelope said.
"And ends with "Juéshì"?" Dolly added.
"He said Christmas is just an excuse to party, and we would all be better off spending time working to make Elemental a better place." Mallory said.
Everyone else at the party booed at Xuĕ's opinions. Just outside the Spirit of Christmas Presents winced. Xuĕ looked a bit hurt too see what others thought of him.
Penelope then snickered. "What does Xuĕ think a better Elemental looks like?"
"People working hard, learning, and using their abilities for the benefit of Elemental." Mallory said mimicing her boss.
Both mother and daughter laughed at it.
Xuĕ looked down now feeling embarrassed for the way they think he is. He was soon caught off guard by snowball thrown an inch almost hitting him. Which made him frown.
"It looks like we've got everything on Xuĕ's list right here." Penelope said.
"I think a perfect Elemental looks a lot like a Christmas Eve party." Dolly said to her mother as the curtains closed.
Xuĕ looked down with tears forming in his eyes. All those years of hardwork made him push people away. Ones who considers him as his friends. Yet, those hurtful words stayed in his mind, blinding him made him forget what mattered the most in life.
"Me too! Too bad it's going to be the last one ever! Ever! Ever! Ever!" The Spirit of Christmas Presents walked away in worry as she echoes out of sight into the mist.
He looked surprised by the revelation. "Spirit? What do you mean? What's going to happen?!" It suddenly got cold the more he went to the mist. It was a snowstorm, a heavy one.
Then a giant mysterious figure with a cape stood infront of the man which took him back a bit.
"Who are you..?" The sorcerer asked feeling uneasy.
"I am the Spirit of Christmas Future." The Spirit of Christmas Future/Bruno Madrigal said as he raised his arms whuch caused a cold breeze to come out of it.
"Are you here to show me what future Christmas days are like?" The man asked with slight worry in his tone.
"No, for there are no more Christmas days for me to show." The Spirit said.
"Why not?" Xuĕ's asked.
"You will succeed in erasing the holiday, as you wished." The Spirit's eyes glowed green, before finally able to make his appearance visible. Not looking to happy.
Xuĕ realized what he meant. "And what happens..?"
Ghost of Christmas Future/Bruno Madrigal: I see a cold wind blowing through
Energieville was submerged with snow, everywhere.
I see days neither fun nor freeI see a future caused by you
I see a path not meant to be
The future should be filled with magic
Dreams and wishes brought to life
But the days ahead are dark and tragic
No time for hope when all is strife
Whatever might have been
All the dreams that people share
Because of you, Xuĕ Juéshì
Now the future is a cold nightmare
Just then a group of Snow Spirits where seen flying in the air.
"Snow Spirits?! They aren't real! It's just a little children's story!" Xuĕ was in disbelief.
"They are all too real, Juéshì, and your actions will allow them to return. The future of Elemental shall be bathed in a blanket of eternal snow!" The Spirit then disapeared into the shadows.
The sorcerer was shock by how his actions will kill millions across the Kingdom. "No! I never meant for this to happen! I didn't understand! I didn't see how important Christmas was! Please, spirit! I haven't cast the spell yet! Is there still time?! I'm sorry!"
Then he was suddenly sent back into the present where everything was back to normal. He went to check outside to see people still celebrating. "There's still time!"
Back at the party everyone was still celebrating till someone nocks on the door. Penelope and Dolly went to open it.
"Oh, my." The mother said surprised to see the person.
"Xuĕ Juéshì?" Her daughter said.
"I was hoping I wasn't too late for the party? I brought gifts." He said as he brought last minute gifts.
Mallory then notices him as she spit-take her eggnog. "Boss?!"
"I was wrong earlier, about Christmas. It's not all about singing and presents. The singing and presents are all about celebrating the ponies in our lives. The people we should listen to more often: our friends." With a heavy heart he apologises everyone as he gave his gifts.
"Wow." Mallory immediately opens hers revealing a bottle of Dragon toenail. "Dragon toenail? Uh... thanks?"
The man smile sheepishly. "I was in a hurry. I'll do better next time."
"Ha. You kidding? No one's ever given me dragon toenail before! It's awesome! Now come get some eggnog!" The bird person said gleefully as Xuĕ joined everyone to celebrate Christmas once again, like he did long ago.
"And from then on, it was always said of all the Christmas celebrations, Xuĕ was the most joyful." NightStar ends the last paragraph.
"The end." NightStar closes the book. "Well, that's it! Thanks for letting me read you the story. Guess you can call it a night. The girls and I are heading downstairs, and if you wanted to, you'd be welcome to join us."
Long was now having second thoughts upon celebrating Christmas. Moments later (In Human form) he walked out from the second floor and sees everyone laughing with happiness.
"Welcome to the party! Merry Christmas, Long." NightStar smiled as she raised her cup of cider.
"Merry Christmas, kid." He smiled in return. He soons joins everyone to the party.
Long: Christmas Eve is filled with presents
