Flashbacks Part 5
"Are we in Lumiose City?" Lillie asks as she looks around in the city, as she is confused at how similar compared to Lumiose City in the Kalos Region, where the Kalos High was.
"No, this is Rotaeel City. Although I admit that it really looks like Lumiose City. Rotaeel City is the biggest city in Sevestar, it has a lot of shops and facilities, including the amusement park is one of the great locations of the place. My friends and I liked to go there when we have nothing to do."
Lillie is running around the city as she grabs Ash's arms, she asks, "So what should we do first?"
Ash says, "We can try out the new Amusement Park. Ms. Irena made it so we can have fun."
"I see." Lillie says as they use the teleportation pads to go to the Amusement Park.
Inside the amusement park, Ash and Lillie try the facilities such as basketball machines and hoop throwing. Ash and Lillie enjoy all of them and even get a lot of prizes, especially the giant Clefairy doll that she wants the most. After that, they also try out the roller coaster, the haunted house, and also some rides that will make Lillie scream out loud, but with Ash by her side, all she feels is incredible.
After having fun in the amusement park, they go shopping for some clothes. Ash has his Pokemon by their side in case some bad customers trying to steal the items, at first Lillie feels like Ash is overreacting, but she quickly changes her mind after seeing a burglar stealing a purse from a girl in front of them. Ash, being the son of the Champion of the region, quickly catches the robber before he can escape.
As the nighttime approaches, they decide to try out the Battle Buffet for dinner, they battle some other customers who are trying to steal the food. Since they win a lot of battles against the trainers who want to get the same food first, Ash and Lillie grabs a lot of food and even share it with their Pokemon.
Before going to rest in a hotel, they decide to climb the giant Rotaeel Tower as it has a giant observation deck that can enjoy the view of all the Sevestar Region. "It is a good thing that we have our own private space here on the tower." Ash says.
"Yeah, only us, we don't have to worry about crowds." Lillie says. They are in awe at the sight of the lights making a special picture like today is the picture of the Emboar.
"You see, the lights of this city will be shaped as the zodiac of the year, it is the Emboar year, so it is making the shape of Emboar." Ash says.
"Wow...that's so nice." Lillie says as she notices a star pass by, she yells, "Hey, look! A Shooting Star!"
"Where?" Ash says as he looks at the sky. "Dang it, I miss it... But it is fine, my dream will come true anyways."
Lillie turns to Ash and says, "Thank you for this wonderful date."
"Anything for my princess." Ash says with a smile.
The next day, Ash and Lillie challenge the gym in the tower, and the leader is no other than Irena, the famous star in the city. After defeating her and get the seventh badge, they decide to head south to Mt. Fortana.
Both Ash and Lillie are at the mine area located inside Mt. Fortana. Lillie heard that there are a lot of fossils around the area, so she wants to see if she can find one. That's why Ash is there for her as they are looking around.
"Who is there?" Ash and Lillie flinch a little as they thought that nobody is in the mines, but they are wrong as a boy with the same age as Ash walking towards them with a frown. He demands, "What are you doing here?"
Ash raises his arms and says, "We didn't mean any harm, we are just trying to find fossils. I am sorry if we interrupt your work..."
As the boy sees their faces, he gasps and says, "Wait, Prince Red? Is that you?"
"Huh?" Ash looks closely at the boy's face, and he sighs in relief as he hugs the boy. "Hey, Luke." The two of them hug each other and Ash says, "Wow, it sure has been a long time since we see each other."
"You too, Ash. I thought that you were going to stay at Kalos for two more years..." Luke says. "But ever since what happened, you decide to come back to Sevestar for the High School I see."
Ash says, "Lillie, this is the Rocky Boy, Luke. Luke, meet my girlfriend, Princess White."
"It is nice to meet you." Lillie bows.
"No need to be formal to me, Princess. You are a royal and I should be the one that is formal to you." Luke says, and Lillie is surprised to be treated like a royal. "By the way, I know a place where we can get a lot of fossils, so please follow me."
As they are walking on the road, Lillie asks, "So how do you guys met?"
Ash says, "Well... when I was wandering here along with my family, I spot Team Terror lurking around here. And that is when I met Luke."
"Team Terror?" Lillie asks. "What is that? Is it some sort of evil group in this region?"
Luke says, "You can say so, and they are the evilest group that I have ever seen, mainly because I didn't go to other regions like Ash and his siblings. They were trying to steal the Genesect Fossil which we were guarding for years, Ash is the one that stops them."
"Really?" Lillie asks. "But how did you stop them? I mean...did you have help?"
"No, but I found out that I am an Arceus at that time, and then Team Terror tries to kidnap me and my family. But thanks to Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and my Pikachu who evolved at that time, we stop the group, and then their leader is arrested, thus disbanding the group so that there won't be any evil group in this Sevestar Region."
"Really?" Sylveon asks Pikachu, who gives a proud smile.
"That is really amazing." Lillie says in awe since Ash always finds a way to amaze her.
As they arrive at the place Luke is talking about, they are amazed to see a lot of fossils. Ash touches the Sail Fossil and then it glows, and Amura appears in front of them. Ash also revives more fossils and the three play with them. Then Ash and Lillie captures all the fossil Pokemon and then head outside the cave. They also bid farewell to Luke as they go to Fiero City.
In Fiero City, Ash and Lillie are looking at the hot springs while walking. They can feel the steam hitting their faces, but they didn't mind any of it as they enjoy the environment and how the volcano shapes the city.
"It really is hot here, don't you agree, Lillie?" Ash turns his head to look at her, but he saw her losing her. This causes Ash to worry as he decides to call out to her.
"Lillie? Are you there?" Ash waves in front of her, but she still doesn't reply anything. "Lillie!" Ash decides to yell, and it surprises Lillie.
"Eek! Yes?" Lillie quickly looks at him and then she sighs that it is only Ash. "Don't scare me like that, Ash."
"Sorry, Lillie. But you have been distracted. What are you thinking about?" Ash asks.
"N…Nothing at all!" She quickly turns her head away with a blush, even though they already confess with each other, Lillie can't help but blush when their eyes are seeing each other.
Ash frowns as he knows that Lillie isn't going to tell her what happened, so he says, "Your heart is saying otherwise. Just tell me what is in your mind?"
Lillie sighs as she didn't want Ash to worry, but only to make matters worse. She says, "I am thinking what my dream is, you knew that I didn't like to touch Pokemon, but you helped me conquer it back at Kalos High. Now I am not afraid of Pokemon, I am now confused at what I am going to achieve in the future."
Ash hesitates for a second, as he knows that a lot of people are worrying the same thing as well. He says, "It is fine. Not many people have found their dreams that early, you can think of it anytime."
"But…" Lillie frowns, as she knows that Ash already has a dream and it will be not fair for her not to have one to be in the same shoes as Ash.
Ash grabs Lillie's hand, causing her to blush again. "Lillie. If you really don't know your dream, just think about what you love, what you want. It is not good for you to be sad at this."
Lillie was speechless since what Ash said is right. So all she can say is "You're right."
They keep walking around the hot springs, they see a girl having fun with a Slugma. The girl sees the two of them and she smiles, "You know, this water isn't that hot. Why don't you try coming in and relax a little?"
Lillie and Ash nod at the girls' words and they put their feet inside, Lillie says, "You are right, it isn't too hot."
"Glad you like it. And oh my gosh, long time no see, Ashy." The girl says.
"You too. Helen, Slugma." Ash says as Pikachu and Sylveon greet the lava ball Pokemon. Lillie is surprised to see another one of Ash's friends, as she starts to wonder how many are there. Helen notices Lillie and she says, "Oh, so you must be Lillie, or I should call you Princess White. I am Helen, and I have the nickname Fiery Girl."
"Nice to meet you." Lillie says. "But I don't know why, your name sounds familiar."
Ash says, "Helen here is also a great chef if you ask me."
"Really?" Lillie says. "I remember...you were the famous child chef in the whole world, right?"
"I had been a star because of my cooking in one time, but my meals aren't as good as Ashy." Helen says as she takes out a Pokepuff. "Want to try some?"
Pikachu and Sylveon eat one and then they squeal. Helen then says, "By the way, I heard from Reisa about your misery back at Kalos, I am really sorry for you to suffer that."
Lillie says, "It is fine, I really don't care if they were my family now. They made their own beds, so they have to lie on them. And I am glad Queen Aurora let me stay with her, to me, she is the best queen in the whole world."
"And does that mean I am the best prince for you, Lillie?" Ash asks with a flirty tone, causing her to blush.
Helen giggles a little and says, "You know. By seeing you two, you really are a good couple."
"Thanks, I am glad to find my soulmate as well." Ash says.
"So how many badges do you have?" Helen asks.
"I already have 8 of them, so I just need 6 more. And I am going to challenge Mr. Flomer today." Ash says.
"You don't mind if I watch your battle?" Helen asks.
"Sure. Fiery Girl." Ash says as the three of them head towards the gym.
