Cherry Blossoms

Subaru sighed as he collapsed into his bed, he couldn't remember when he'd been so confused. What had Obaa-Chan meant? Do not let the cherry blossoms seduce you, Subaru-Chan. He cursed; surely she couldn't have meant his Seishiro-San? Never. No, it couldn't be, mysterious as he was he couldn't possible cause him any harm. He was sweet and kind and… Never allow them to confuse your mind and heart. But Sei-San wasn't a cherry blossom, he was a veterinarian. He may be confusing but surely no-one with such charming manners could ever try to hurt him. Could they? He couldn't deny the age gap and same gender issue didn't worry him slightly but it just seemed so… right, so natural, such trivial issues didn't matter any more. Subaru was in love and that's all that mattered. He trusted Seishiro with all his heart; he trusted his heart, his soul, his instincts. All of them were screaming for him to just tell him, yet something held him back, why? His mind kept poking him with taunts, Sei-San was evil, he wanted him dead, he was the Sukurazukamori. Subaru sobbed into his duvet, wishing things were simpler. He didn't know what to think, what should he believe, his mind or his heart? Maybe the cherry blossoms were someone else… maybe he was worrying for nothing. He smiled slightly before closing his emerald eyes. "I love you Sei-San." He muttered into the cotton sheets and before he drifted away he fancied he heard another voice responding. "I love you too." It whispered softly, like breeze through a branch on a warm summer's day. "I love you too, my Subaru-kun."
