One-Shot: Mohn's Death
This chapter is just a one-shot that is related to the story itself, but it isn't related to the plot.
Emily and Gladion have been spending together in the forest that they first meet each other, they have been dating for a lot of days and right now they are having a battle with Glaceon battling against Silvally.
"Silvally! Use Multi Attack." Gladion says as Silvally charges at Glaceon, who then faints after landing the Super effective Fire Type Attack from the Fire Memory.
"Man! I lost again!" Emily says with a depressed tone, she hasn't won against Gladion ever since they first meet each other, and it frustrates her as well.
"You fought well." Gladion assures her and Silvally is giving her a nod. "Looks like even Silvally says so."
Silvally licks his trainer as Emily watches with a smile. She then asks, "You know Gladion, you told us that Silvally is your and Lillie's father. But how did it happen?"
Suddenly, Gladion and Silvally stop their actions and Gladion frowns, "I rather not mention about it...it is a touchy subject that both Lillie and I haven't moved on...it is also related to why Mother has been treating Lillie badly since then."
Noticing Gladion's frown, Emily says, "Oh my, I am sorry. I don't want to make you sad..."
"No, it is fine." Gladion gives her a weak smile. "Let's go back to find others."
"Okay." Emily says as they go back to the school, but Emily is not going to give up learning the truth as she decides to try out Lillie.
Once they are now at the school, everyone is chatting and Gladion is talking to Trenor and Mark. Emily then asks Lillie, "Lillie, you told us that Gladion's Silvally was actually your and Gladion's father, but I want to know how did it change into a Silvally and what exactly happened?"
Lillie almost spits her juice, she takes out a napkin and covers her mouth, and says, "Why are you asking that?"
"Well...I have never seen a Silvally before, and Gladion seems to have a perfect bond with it." Emily says. "I just want to know the truth...since Gladion won't ever tell me because he thinks that it is a touchy subject."
Lillie frowns and says, "I guess I shouldn't hide the truth forever. But I can't explain now since my brother is here. Why don't we go to Queen Aurora's office later so that I can tell you about it?"
Emily nods as they continue their meal. Once they have finished their meal, Lillie and Emily ask Ash to go to the office with them, and Ash immediately agrees.
Once they arrive at the office, Aurora sees them coming and asks, "So what brings all of you here?"
Lillie says, "I want to borrow your Celebi if that is okay?"
Ash and Aurora are surprised by this. Ash asks, "Why do you need Celebi? Are you going on a time travel?"
Lillie then explains everything to Ash and Aurora about letting Emily know about the past. Aurora says, "I see..." She turns to Emily and says, "Well, I can fulfill your wish. But remember. Do not interfere with the past that is going to happen. Or else there will be consequences that we won't know."
"Okay." Emily says as Aurora gives Ash the Pokeball. Ash throws the ball and yells, "Celebi! I choose you."
After the ball pops out, Celebi is flying around them and she asks, "Chosen one, what do you need?"
Ash says, "We want to do a time travel, the time and location is the Aether Foundation ten years ago."
Celebi looks at them with a curious expression, and Ash understands that she is worried about the laws of time. He says, "Don't worry, we are not going to interfere with time."
Celebi nods and she says, "Follow me."
Ash, Lillie, and Emily glow white as they disappear. Aurora just prays and says, "Be careful..."
Once they arrive at the timeline, they are at the basement of the Aether Foundation. Lillie frowns as she knows what is going to happen here, but Ash and Emily are clueless. "Why is this place so dark?" Emily asks.
"You'll see..." Lillie says as then they see Nihilego flying towards them. "Everyone dodge!" Ash yells as they dodge the Power Gems from Nihilego.
"Are you guys okay?" Ash asks, after making sure that the Ultra Beasts are gone. Ash asks, "Are you guys okay?"
"We are fine. But aren't those Ultra Beasts? What are they doing here?" Emily asks.
"Just follow me and you'll learn the truth." Lillie says as Ash and Emily follow her until they are inside of a room. In that room, they see a younger Lusamine, Mohn, Gladion, and Lillie face to face with their scientist Faba. Behind Faba is a machine that creates the Ultra Wormholes that scatter around the Aether Foundation.
"What do you think you are doing? Faba?" Mohn asks angrily.
"It is obvious. I just let the Ultra Beasts come here so you can do your study like you want to." Faba says with a wicked grin.
"But they are dangerous!" Gladion yells. "Don't you know how much danger they possess?"
"Oh, I know. This is why I am willing to do this, so I can control them and become the new Aether Foundation President." Faba yells, and Ash and Emily can't believe there is a person that makes them full of disgust.
Mohn says, "You are insane!" Then he sends out Skarmory to battle his Hypno, only to be sent back to Mohn as it gets hit by a wall.
"No! Mohn!" Lusamine yells as she sees how Mohn was easily defeated.
"Hypno! Hypnosis that Blade!" Faba says evilly as the Psychic Pokemon controls a nearby Kartana. Faba says, "If I want to be the new Aether Foundation President, I will have to get rid of the old one and anyone who might be capable of inheriting the foundation as well. Now Code: Blade...kill them with your sharp blades!"
As the now controlled Ultra Beast charges towards Lusamine, Emily looks at the scene in horror, she says, "We need to stop it!"
Lillie says, "No, you can't mess with the timeline. Principal Aurora and Celebi have already warned us about it."
"But your family..." Emily mutters.
Ash remembers that Lillie mentions that an Arceus come and save them, and right now he doesn't see anyone coming to help them. He decides to change into his form and jumps into the battle.
"Ash!" Emily and Lillie exclaim as Ash uses Protect on Lusamine.
"Huh? An Arceus?" The younger Lillie is surprised as the people there see the god Pokemon in front of their eyes.
"What is a god doing here?" Faba says surprise.
Ash booms, "You dare to send the dangerous Ultra Beasts to the world. Prepare to face your judgment."
Faba pales as Ash is about to deal damage to him, he tries to run, but the meteor hits him and he gets devoured into the explosion, turning him into ashes and sending him to hell.
The older Lillie, who is watching the scene, says, "Wait, I mentioned that an Arceus saved us when I was little...that was Ash this whole time?"
"Does that mean Ash was meant to mess with the timeline so that it can continue to happen?" Emily asks, also in confusion.
But without Faba, the Ultra Beasts are free from hypnosis and they start to go on a rampage, Kartana notices Gladion and he decides to charge at him.
"No! Gladion!" Lusamine yells. Ash tries to go save him, but a Xurkitree zaps him and a Pheromosa is running around him, making him unmovable. Gladion is also so shocked that he couldn't move.
"Brother! Watch out!" The younger Lillie yells, then she covers her eyes and a slash sound appears.
Emily and the older Lillie are behind the wall, they gasp as they see the sight that is unfolding in front of them: Mohn gets slashed on the back instead of Gladion.
"Mohn/Dad!" Everyone in the room yells, and the older Lillie winces as she knows what is going to happen.
Mohn is now breathing heavily and he gives them a weak smile, "I am glad you are safe." Just then, he coughs out blood and he feels his body goes limp.
"No Mohn!" Lusamine cries out hard as well as the two siblings.
Ash, who is now enraged, opens up a portal and it sucks all the remaining Ultra Beasts inside. Then he turns to the family, who is crying about Mohn's death.
Ash says, "I am sorry for your loss..."
The Younger Lillie cries, "Please, oh mighty Arceus...can you revive him? He doesn't deserve to die..."
Ash says, "I am sorry, young princess. I can't revive him since his time is up...I know he doesn't deserve a death like this, so I'll make sure he will be able to be with you guys again."
"Please save him! We will do anything!" Lusamine cries over her husband's body.
Ash says, "I will be turning him into a Pokemon, in that way he will be with you. Is that okay with you?"
Lusamine stops crying and says, "I don't care if he is a human or not...I want us to be a family together..."
Lillie and Gladion also say the same thing. Ash says, "Very well." He then glows white and a beam shoots towards Mohn's body. Then the 3 family members cover their eyes since the light is bright. Once it dries down, A Pokemon has white fur and a fin-like tail, and it has a system that could put some disks.
"Mohn?" Lusamine asks as the Pokemon comes and licks her face. Then it also goes to Lillie and Gladion as it does the same.
"This is called a Silvally." Ash says. "I give him the ability to transform types like me. And I give him the move Multi Attack, which also changes typing like myself."
Lusamine says, "Thank you so much...Arceus..." The three bows.
"No problem. Please take good care of this Pokemon or your father." Then Ash teleports back to Lillie and Emily.
Emily says, "So that is what happened? I mean...no wonder Gladion doesn't like to mention it..."
Lillie says, "Yeah, but I didn't know that Arceus is you, Ash. I mean...we knew about Arceus, but I didn't know that our time travel was intended for this to happen..."
Ash says, "I just remembered your words, and I connected the dots. Now our mission here is done, let's head back."
The two nod and then they leave the Aether Foundation, pretending that they aren't even existing in the past.
Back at the court, Gladion finds Emily along with Ash and Lillie. "There you are. Where have you been? Everyone is looking for you."
"I am sorry, but we were at the Principal's office since my Mother is giving us more work to do." Ash says.
Emily asks, "Gladion, can I have a battle with Silvally? I want to have a rematch."
"Sure, but just so you know that I am not going to lose as well." Gladion says as he sends out the Pokemon. Silvalky roars as it prepares its stance while Emily sends out Sylveon.
Gladion looks at Silvally and says, "Let's fight together...Dad..." Silvally turns back to him and says, "Sure. Son."
Lillie can hear his voice due to her being a Pokemon as well, she smiles and says, "I finally heard your voice...Dad..."
Here is a one-shot of the story, a lot of people are confused about why Gladion said that Silvally was actually Professor Mohn itself. So I decided to give out an explanation by writing this chapter. I hope you like it, in the next chapter it will be back to the track of the story.
