A Weekend of Inspection Part 1
After a weekend of teaching the Warrior Tasks, Ash and Lillie are now with Alice, Eve, Drandon, Mark, Serena, Gladion, Emily, and Paul. The 10 of them are now at the entrance of the golden dorm with their stuff packed. Serena asks, "So where are we going for this weekend? Are we really having a trip?"
"Of course." Mark says, "Because of the appearance of the Warrior Tasks, we'll need to inspect all the gym leaders to see if they can handle the weapons very well."
"Gym Leaders...you mean our friends, right?" Gladion asks, "We have been practicing this together for a long time, and why are we going to inspect them when we know how they are capable of."
Ash says, "The gym inspection is different from the normal person inspection. We have to go to their gyms or Elite 4 fields and have them test out their weapons in their fields, not only that, but we will also have to report this to the Pokemon League Association, as Mr. Goodshow is very strict with this kind of stuff."
"But how are you going to finish it within 2 days? Don't you forget that it took us two weeks to finish the whole Knight Challenge? There isn't have that much time to do this." Paul says with concern.
Lillie says, "I won't worry about that, because there were Gary and the others, so we wouldn't want them to know the secret of traveling. But now they are still in detention, so we won't need to worry about them. You'll know about it once you follow us."
The group then walks towards the Principal office, the 4 bullies, who had just finished their work, decide to check what they are doing as they aren't going to have them get away this time. But just as they arrive at the Principal's office, Ash takes out a book on the shelf and then the shelf starts to move on its own, causing a small passage to reveal itself.
"I never knew there is something here..." Emily says, Alice adds, "This path leads to the Teleportation Panels, when a challenger has arrived at the gym, we would use this to quickly get there to battle against them."
"I think I have seen those teleportation panels since we had some back in the Aether Foundation." Gladion says as they enter the small passage, but they are surprised to see the amount of the panels, and there are actually 18 of them.
"There sure is a lot of panels, where are each of them go?" Serena asks, and Ash says, "We have 14 gyms and 3 Elite 4 fields. The final one is the League where Champion uses to battle those who managed to beat the Elite 4."
"But why only three Elite 4 fields? I thought that Elite 4 consists of four members?" Serena asks, and Eve says, "My field is actually in this RPA, as I am the Regional Professor of the region."
"I see." Paul says. "So where are we going first?"
Ash says, "We should go to the Silkan Gym to see how Nate is doing." Ash opens one of the panels as they step inside, then they are all teleported away to the Silkan City.
At the same time, the 4 bullies are watching and Gary says, "So they are going to the gyms, huh?"
Misty says, "We couldn't leave because of them...so what are you planning?"
Trip says, "What if we ask the Principal to let us challenge the gyms? That way we can show who is better in this school."
"The problem is that will she agrees to let us go?" Iris mutters as they continue to do their detention.
Back with Ash and his friends, they arrive at the library of RPA. Gladion asks, "Why are we here in the library? Is this where the Gym is?"
"That's right." They turn around and they see Nate walking towards them. "Remember not to be loud as others are here to read some books."
"Sorry if we are too loud, but Nate. You know that I need to inspect your abilities of the weapons per Goodshow's orders, so did you practice with your Sword of the King?"
Nate says, "Of course. I also come up with some new strategies that I can show you. Maybe you can use them in your classes as well."
"I think I might consider about it." Ash says as he starts to find the books on the shelf, much to the others' confusion.
"Why is Ash finding books? Isn't he inspecting the gym leader?" Paul asks.
"You see, Paul." Alice says. "This is a challenge before the gym battle. If Ash founds the right book..."
They hear a sound and then the bookshelves start to move on their own, it sets up an alarm as the passers walk to the safe place since the glasses are going up to the ceiling, the floor also moves down and then a battlefield rises to the ground.
"Wow...so that is a gym field?" Serena asks Mark. "That is really surprising."
"Ash is the one who invented that." Mark replies. "After RPA was built, Nate decides to relocate the gym in this company so that they can still battle in the library. Ash and Nate find the glass door as they enter the battlefield, after a while, they start to do the six-on-six gym battle with five Pokemon and themselves using the Warrior Task. Their battle is catching a lot of people's attention, as they can't believe that they are battling with weapons.
Even though they do the Warrior Task as their final Pokemon, Nate's Sword eventually falls to the ground, meaning that he lost the battle in the end."
"Good game, Nate." Ash says. "And I must say, that new strategy of making music to let me fall asleep is quite powerful."
"Thanks." Nate says. "Though you used Sleep Talk in the end, which means you are still better than me."
After congratulating the both of them, they change the library back to normal, and then they bid farewell to Nate and then they head to the next location.
Their second destination is the FS Resort, Emily looks around the amusement park inside the area and she says, "You know, I never missed this fantastic resort. It really gives us a lot of royal vibes."
"Indeed, and this is actually where one of the Elite 4 fields are." Eve says. "Mark's Fighting Chamber is located at the training field since he admired Brawly from the Hoenn Region."
Mark says, "Yeah. Before the RPA High School was built, we still needed education, so Mother let the six of us go to different schools to check them out. I went to Hoenn, Minami went to Sinnoh, Golly went to Unova, Trenor went to Johto, Insey went to Kanto, and Brother went to Kalos."
"Why do you do that?" Gladion asks in confusion. "I mean...why would she make you guys separated?"
"It is also a task for us, Mother asks us to pretend weakly and also hold back on everything when attending at school. It is to train our mental strength so that we can be strong in the end."
Alice sighs, "Because of that, all six of them were being bullied by everyone. Though Ash is the worst, as he also has teachers ganging upon him as well..."
This causes the former Kalos High Students to look down in shame. Ash says, "It's in the past. Don't worry, I am glad that Kalos High is over and the teachers were arrested for abusing their powers."
They head towards the training gym, which has a lot of machines. Mark runs on the treadmill until it accumulates to 765 steps. Much to their surprise, the walls are breaking open and the machines are sending inside the walls. Then a battlefield shows on the field with fences rising from the ground.
"This is the Elite 4 Battlefield?" Emily asks. "It looks so awesome. How did you come up with the mechanism?"
Ash says, "I am not the one who created the field, you would need to ask Konomi sensei for that."
Mark and Ash then have a six-on-six battle just like what he did to Nate, and it seems like every one of them decides to make the Warrior Task as their final Pokemon. So when Mark's Gloves of the Might falls to the ground, Ash wins the match.
"Good work, bro." Ash says while holding his pained cheeks. "You're fists sure pack a punch."
"I am not better than you, Brother." Mark smiles. "After all, you are a Champion while I was just your Elite 4 member."
They then leave the FS Resort and get to Skyhigh City so they can meet East and have a battle with him.
"Even though we have been here once, the height is still scary..." Emily says with a little scared tone.
"I know, and you almost fall from it because of Gary." Gladion says as he looks around. "But where is the gym? I don't think I have seen it from here."
"See that golf course over there?" Lillie says as they see between the cliff and the ocean is a giant green field for golf courses.
"I know East likes Golf, but to think there is a gold course..." Paul says, "It really is an amazing sight."
"His mother is a famous golfer, that is why." Lillie says.
They head towards the place using hot air balloons, then they find East flying towards them with the wings that are the weapon from the Warrior Task.
"Hi, guys." East says. "You know, having Wings to fly in the air is kinda fun."
Drandon says, "I agree, seeing you fly in the air is kinda making me jealous."
Ash says, "Don't worry, you can learn the Wings of the Wind in the future, Drandon."
Then they get down at the golf course, East takes out a remote control and he closes off the golf course. Emily says, "That sure is a very huge battlefield."
"I know, Flying Type Pokemon need the sky to battle, which is why the field is that big." Ash says.
Then Ash and East change into their Sky trainer outfits, as they are having a Sky battle. Ash and East are having a six-on-six, and since the battle is in the sky, the others can just run around and see how the battle goes.
"Wow, this is really the closest view for the whole battle..." Serena says.
"Since the battle is mainly in the air, so we don't need to worry about them landing on the ground." Mark says.
After their fifth battle, they see how East is using the wings to battle against Ash, who is also using the wings. Serena says, "I can't wait to have those wings."
Emily says, "The feeling is mutual. But we have to learn the basics first so we can use it freely without falling."
But once East drops the wings, he also falls, much to everyone's horror, but luckily for him, a robot comes and catches him, just like what it did to other Pokemon. Ash says, "Well, the only disadvantage of this task is that when the wings are dropped, you also fall."
Lillie says, "But it is a good thing that the Robot catches made by David exists so that you will also be caught by them."
East says, "You're right, now that is some great battle that I got."
"Yeah, since we still have time, how about we have a golf competition before we go to the next place?" Ash asks.
"That sounds like a good idea." Alice says as they all head back to the entrance of the golf course so that they can get their tools for golfing.
Now, these six chapters are going to be the gym introductions and the advantages or disadvantages of each warrior task. I hope you enjoy it.
