A Weekend of Inspection Part 5
As they get out of the Teleportation panel, they find themselves inside a crowded game center in Elmososha Town. Emily asks, "Where are we? I don't think I have been here before..."
"This is the Elmososha Game Center, it is located two floors higher than the Elmososha Studios, the place you had your Knight Challenge for Electric Types.
"Wait, so the gym is in the game center?" Serena is confused. "I thought the Elmososha Gym is in the Studios."
"Well, we have thought about that, but filming a movie needs a lot of space after all." Elline says as she walks towards them from a slots machine.
"Were you just playing slots while you wait for us?" Lillie asks, and Elline says, "Why not? I owned this game center. I should practice my gaming so that I won't be laughed as a game center owner who couldn't even win a game."
"Okay, so are you ready for the challenge?" Ash asks.
"Of course. By the way, do you want to play the games or watch our battles?" Elline asks. "Elmososha Game Center has a lot of games to play, we have the usual slots machines, Voltorb Flip, and even card games to play as well."
"I might as well play some games for fun." Emily says as she drags Gladion away. And the same goes for Mark and Serena, leaving Lillie, Alice, Eve, Drandon and Paul left.
"I guess we will just watch you guys battle." Paul says, "I am not actually a person who likes to play games."
"Suit yourself." Elline takes out a coin, then she throws it into the slot as it starts spinning, then with three 7 appears, the room starts to move as a battlefield appears.
"Wow, I don't know she can do that." Serena notices them doing that as Mark is inserting a coin in the Air sHockey table.
"Well, it is special, considering that her brother is an inventor as well." Mark replies. "Now let's see who is the best air hockey player."
Serena has prepared her air hockey strikes and they start to play the game.
As for Ash, he is battling Elline. Elline uses the Razor of Lightning very well and it sometimes hit Ash himself. Ash is now paralyzed, but he still defeats Elline using the Rope.
"You are doing a good job. And since Electric Types are only weak to Ground, you really have a lot of advantage with the weapon." Ash says.
"Glad to hear that, maybe I should have the Wings of the Wind so that I can be invincible against Super Effective attacks."
"There is no such thing as invisible to Super Effective moves, if I use the Shield of the Mountains and the Ropes of the Wild, I could have use Smack Down and then use Earthquake to finish it off."
"That might be true." Elline sighs, "By the way, why don't we go check out the new machine? It is the claw machine with Pokemon dolls." Elline asks.
"Since we still have time, let's go." Ash says as they go to the Claw Machine, Lillie inserts the coin and she tries to get the Pokemon Doll, but she fails as she misses.
"Looks like it is time to save a damsel in distress, huh?" Ash says as he tries to play the game, and he gets the doll and he manages to get the Alolan Vulpix doll.
"Here you go, Lillie." Ash says and Lillie smiles at Ash, "Thank you, Ash. I'll cherish it."
"You two should really get a room." Eve sighs, "We are in a public area and I don't think it is a good idea to do a public display of affection."
"Sorry. Sometimes Lillie and I can't control ourselves." Ash says as they go find the others.
After having fun in the Game Center, they finally leave Elmososha Town as they use the Teleport to the next place, which is the Solana Town's Space Center, one of the famous Space Center in the world.
"I think I remember how Gary tried to make me fall in this place when we are doing the second Knight Challenge." Serena mutters, "I still can't believe we were friends with them..."
"That is in the past, at least your hero can save you." Ash says as Serena nods. Paul asks, "So this Space Center is the gym of the town?"
"Well, you are not exactly right." Eve says. "This gym is the first gym that is not located in this region, but rather somewhere else."
"What? A gym located not in the region?" Gladion asks in confusion. "What do you mean by that?"
"Because it is in outer space." Ash says, and those who don't know about the truth are shocked at this information.
"Outer Space?" Serena asks. "Are you serious? How is the gym being in outer space? And what exactly do you mean by that?"
"Sometimes it is better to see it for ourselves if we want to believe it." Alice says as they get inside another teleportation device, after that, they teleport themselves to a room without any windows. Emily asks, "Where are we? Are we really in space?"
"We are, this is the interior of the Satellite." Daniel opens the door and greets them. "You can see a lot of stars down below as well as our earth."
As they go to the main battlefield, they can see how low the Ground Type Pokemon can use Dig and how they can also see the stars below their feet. Lillie turns to Daniel and asks, "So can we just start the battle? It will be better if we do it quickly so we have more time to enjoy the stars."
"Of course." Daniel says as they go battle in the battlefield. As for the others, they are watching the stars all around and they are in awe as it is an amazing sight.
"So pretty...it is like we are in a dream." Serena says. "I can't believe we can see the stars and the moon."
"I am pretty sure that this is not a dream." Mark says. "And we are here as well, in space, trust me, you can never experience this thing in Kalos."
"You are right, maybe it is really better to have our school in the Sevestar Region than in Kalos Region." Serena says.
"But how were you able to put a gym in the satellite and whose idea is this?" Paul asks, Ash replies, "Well, Professor Amo was a former astronaut until she becomes a teacher. She is also the former Gym Leader until Daniel takes her title. The Space is also where the Psychic Type Pokemon have their full power, since a lot of Psychic Type Pokemon comes from space."
After a while, they see how Lillie uses the Ring of the Mind to knock out Daniel's weapon, the way she battles is just like dancing ballet, and Ash is attracted to it.
"I guess the Psychic Type weapon is really hard to aim. It is thanks to the dance moves that I succeed." Lillie says.
"Well, being a Psychic Type is not bad after all." Daniel laughs. "By the way, you want to have a spacewalk?"
"Are you sure we can do it?" Paul asks as he nods, then they all wear astronaut suits and they go outside to the satellite, they have a lot of fun in space.
As they notice the sun, Serena says, "I can't believe this is actually what the sun looks like."
"But we shouldn't directly look into it or else our eyes are going to get burnt." Mark says.
"You're right. I can feel its hotness even from this place." Ash says as the others nod.
Emily notices a building on the moon and she asks, "Ash? What is that building that is on the moon?"
Ash says, "That is a construction site under the ownership of RPA, with the help from Professor Amo, we are going to create a place on the moon."
"That is really a wild idea." Gladion says, "Just how much money you have to fund this project?"
"I kind of forget since we really earn a lot and spend a lot." Ash says as they continue to enjoy the place until it is time to go back.
After getting back down to the earth, they use the other teleportation pad to go to Mt. Iceat. What they see is a giant stadium and Ash says, "This is the Pokemon League Stadium of this region. This place is where people compete to have a chance to battle the Elite 4."
"And to the left, there is the Contest Hall for the Grand Festivals, and to the right, there is a Showcase Stage for the Master Class."
"Sounds like this mountain is where all the big events are holding. But why put them in the high mountain? I mean...what if a lot of people are sick in the cold?"
Ash replies. "This Mt. Iceat is one of the tallest mountains in the Sevestar Region, the harsh climate here makes it the hardest challenge to reach the top of the Pokemon world. Only the toughest challenge can make a person grow and those who are accustomed to the weather are capable of conquering all the challenges and win in the end."
"I see, so it is survival of the fittest." Paul says with a nod. "But aren't you guys cold? I mean...you don't seem to wear heavy jackets like us..."
Mark says, "That's because we are used to the weather because we are the Elite 4 and we have to battle our opponents here in this place."
They get to the league battlefield and Ash has a battle with Alice. Alice's arrows of Snow are as talented as Lillie, but Ash manages to block them all with his power. Ash almost got defeated because the blizzard and Alice uses the chance to come out of nowhere to do a sneak attack.
"Man...No wonder Alice is the strongest Elite 4 member...it really is hard to hurt her...I know..." Ash says with a tired tone since he can't believe that Alice is really strong.
Ash then takes out the cannon and shoots it into the air, making the weather Sunny Day. Alice gasps as her trick are no use and she is defeated.
"Of all the people, you are the closest one that can take my title." Ash says.
"What do you expect? Only you are capable of defeating her." Mark says, "None of us can defeat Alice."
Alice says, "I am flattered with it. After all, I am as strong as Lillie."
Lillie starts to feel offended by the comment, and she says, "If you think you are stronger than me, why don't we test it out in a battle?"
Alice says, "Sure, just so you know I can still defeat you even though I am tired with the previous battle I had with Ash."
Then Ash and Lillie start to have a battle with the others watch them. In the end, both of them end up with a draw and they are really tired. Ash says, "Okay, that is enough. You two fought really well. I am glad to have strong women like you two."
The two girls sigh as they decide to go check out the other stadiums and the places. After playing in the snow for a while, they decide to head down the mountain before a blizzard is coming and they might be trapped inside the league stadium.
