Dynamx and New Pokemon

After school, the group heads to the School Gym since Ash is going to show them everything about the Dynamax. Ash says, "Pikachu, I am sorry that I will have to recall you for now." Pikachu groans as Ash recalls him into the Pokeball.

"Why are you doing so?" Elline asks, "Pikachu doesn't like Pokeballs, right? Why are you forcing him to get into one?"

Ash smiles and he says, "There is a particular reason for that." Ash shows them another band on his wrist, he activates it and emits a pink glow as the Pokeball starts becoming bigger and it is the same size as his head.

"Is it me or the Pokeball is getting bigger and bigger?" Serena asks. And then Ash tosses the Pokeball, and Pikachu comes out, only to be 10 times larger than its original size.

"What? What happened? Pikachu is a giant now!" Those who don't know about the Galar are shocked at the revelation.

Minami says, "That is how the Dynamax works. Dynamax is a temporary transformation affecting Pokémon. Trainers who obtain a Dynamax Band can Dynamax their Pokémon. According to Professor Magnolia, the Pokémon distorts space to change its size while affecting the world around them. This transformation has another special variant known as Gigantamax."

"Gigantamax?" East asks, "What is that? Can you tell us about it?"

"Like other Dynamaxing, Gigantamaxing increases a Pokémon's size drastically and its HP in battle. Only certain species of Pokémon can Gigantamax, and when they do, their appearance changes significantly, unlike regular Dynamaxing. As revealed by Professor Magnolia, the Pokémon distorts space to change its size while affecting the world around them while altering their appearance drastically." Lillie says.

"Okay...that is quite cool." Helen says. "But how does it come from?"

"About that, I'm going to talk about the Legendary Pokemon of the Galar Region." Ash opens the projection on the stage and it shows three Pokemon. "They are Zacian, Zamazenta and Eternatus. Let's say that Etenatus is a villain and the other two are heroes. About their Pokedex information, I'll talk about it later."

Mark says, "After its defeat thousands of years ago by Zacian and Zamazenta, Eternatus's energy leaked out during its slumber in the form of Galar particles. This resulted in the creation of Power Spots, where Trainers can trigger the Dynamax transformation. Some Power Spots had Gym Stadiums built over them, and others in the Wild Area became Pokémon Dens, where Max Raid Battles take place."

"Parts of Eternatus's body, known as Wishing Stars, rained across Galar, allowing whoever found them to Dynamax their Pokémon when at a Power Spot. Dynamax Bands were later created by the secretary of a famous company in the Galar Region to help anyone fully utilize the transformation there. Dynamax was later implemented into the Galar League's Gym Battles by the Chairman of the famous company in the Galar Region who had most of the Gyms built atop of the Power Spots." Minami says.

"That sounds cool." Elline says, "So let me guess, the reason why our gym battlefields are big is that you also put Power Spots inside there?"

"Yeah, now that you learn the truth, I will have to give you the Gigantamax Pokemon." Ash says, causing them to get excited.

Lillie says, "Not only that, but Chairman Goodshow also gives us a letter, and I must say, he is impressed by our performance and all of you are going to keep your title as a gym leader."

"That's great." Flora says, "We really work hard and there is no reason that we are going to be fired from our positions."

"That's right." Eve says. "So what are we going to do with the Gigantamax?"

Ash says, "Right now, there are 32 Pokemon that are capable of Gigantamax, so I will show you what Pokemon can Gigantamax and what Pokemon can't. Now I'll be starting with Nate."

Nate steps forward and Ash says, "Please send out your Meowth, Eevee and Snorlax."

Nate nods as he does it, and Ash gives them the Wishing Stars and they are absorbed into their bodies. Ash says, "Now they are capable of Gigantamax. Each Gigantamax have their own Pokedex Entry, so I'll tell you about it. Staring with Meowth: The pattern that has appeared on its giant coin is thought to be the key to unlocking the secrets of the Dynamax phenomenon. Its body has grown incredibly long and the coin on its forehead has grown incredibly large—all thanks to Gigantamax power."

Minami says, "For Eevee: Gigantamax energy upped the fluffiness of the fur around Eevee's neck. The fur will envelop a foe, capturing its body and captivating its mind. Having gotten even friendlier and more innocent, Eevee tries to play with anyone around, only to end up crushing them with its immense body."

"Okay..." Nate says with a sweatdrop, and Lillie says, "For Snorlax: Gigantamax energy has affected stray seeds and even pebbles that got stuck to Snorlax, making them grow to a huge size. Terrifyingly strong, this Pokémon is the size of a mountain—and moves about as much as one as well."

While they are explaining, Insey also uses the projection to show them what the Pokemon looks like, and they are surprised at their forms and it reminds them a lot about Mega Evolution.

Mark says, "Since we are a family, Brother has already given us the Pokemon that we needed for Gigantamaxing. Mine is Machamp. The Gigantamax energy coursing through its arms makes its punches hit as hard as bomb blasts. One of these Pokémon once used its immeasurable strength to lift a large ship that was in trouble. It then carried the ship to port."

"That sounds really interesting." Paul says.

Ash says, "Next is Tox, I will give your Garbodor the power to Gigantamax."

Tox nods as he lets Ash do his work, and Ash says, "Due to Gigantamax energy, this Pokémon's toxic gas has become much thicker, congealing into masses shaped like discarded toys. It sprays toxic gas from its mouth and fingers. If the gas engulfs you, the toxins will seep in all the way down to your bones."

"That really looks like a giant garbage dump..." Serena says.

Insey says, "Now it is my turn, I have Butterfree that is capable of Gigantamax. Crystallized Gigantamax energy makes up this Pokémon's blindingly bright and highly toxic scales. Once it has opponents trapped in a tornado that could blow away a 10-ton truck, it finishes them off with its poisonous scales."

After showing the Butterfree, Golly is next and she says, "For me, I have a Gengar. Rumor has it that its gigantic mouth leads not into its body, filled with cursed energy, but instead directly to the afterlife. It lays traps, hoping to steal the lives of those it catches. If you stand in front of its mouth, you'll hear your loved ones' voices calling out to you."

"First of all, it is spooky, second of all...Gengar again?" Gladion asks, and Lillie says, "I know what you are thinking, and that's right."

Ash asks David to come next and he requires the Mythical Pokemon Melmetal, much to his surprise, after giving the Wishing stars, he says, "In a distant land, there are legends about a cyclopean giant. In fact, the giant was a Melmetal that was flooded with Gigantamax energy. It can send electric beams streaking out from the hole in its belly. The beams' tremendous energy can vaporize an opponent in one shot."

After David nods, Ash has Helen, Reisa and Flora on stage as they are required with the Kanto Starters. Insey says, "In battle, Venusaur swings around two thick vines. If these vines slammed into a 10-story building, they could easily topple it. Huge amounts of pollen burst from it with the force of a volcanic eruption. Breathing in too much of the pollen can cause fainting."

Mark says, "This colossal, flame-winged figure of a Charizard was brought about by Gigantamax energy. The flame inside its body burns hotter than 3,600 degrees Fahrenheit. When Charizard roars, that temperature climbs even higher."

Lillie says, "Blastoise's not very good at precision shooting. When attacking, it just fires its 31 cannons over and over and over. Water fired from this Pokémon's central main cannon has enough power to blast a hole into a mountain."

After they are done, Ash has Reisa also send out Kingler, having it to Gigantamax as well. Ash says, "The flow of Gigantamax energy has spurred this Pokémon's left pincer to grow to an enormous size. That claw can pulverize anything. The bubbles it spews out are strongly alkaline. Any opponents hit by them will have their bodies quickly melted away."

"That sure is something else." Reisa says.

Elline is next and, of course, the Pokemon is Pikachu. Elline says, "Why am I not surprised that the Pokemon capable of Gigantamax is Pikachu?"

"Its Gigantamax power expanded, forming its supersized body and towering tail. When it smashes its opponents with its bolt-shaped tail, it delivers a surge of electricity equivalent to a lightning strike." Ash says.

And the final one is Alice, who gets the Lapras to Gigantamax. Lillie says, "Over 5,000 people can ride on its shell at once. And it's a very comfortable ride, without the slightest shaking or swaying. It surrounds itself with a huge ring of gathered ice particles. It uses the ring to smash any icebergs that might impede its graceful swimming."

Alice nods and Ash says, "And that will be the Gigantamax Pokemon from the Pokemon that aren't native to Galar Region. So I am sorry if some of you haven't got Gigantamax yet."

Eve says, "Will we be able to get our new Gigantamax in the future? I mean...can we go to the Galar Region to get our new Gigantamax?"

Ash says, "Well, the Winter Vacation is about to come, so it will be possible to take all of you there."

This causes them to get excited, and Hop says, "Believe me, you have to go to Galar for one time, or you'll regret it in the end. Galar is a great place and you'll know why."

"Geez Hop...you are just making us jealous." Daniel says as the others laugh.

"And speaking of Winter Vacaion." Lillie says, "We are going to do that in the Galar Region with our father approved of everything."

"Do what?" Insey asks, and Ash takes out several cards and gives one of each to them. Reisa gasps and says, "Are those...the wedding invitations?"

"So you are going to have a wedding? That's awesome!" Mark says, "I can't believe that you have set a date for your wedding."

"Well, we have been discussing a lot about the date with our parents. Eventually, we decide to set in January 25th." Lillie says. "I will like all of you to attend the wedding."

"Believe me, we will be there, the wedding of our best friends is something that we can't ignore." Alice says.

"But what about the others? Who did you also invite to the wedding?" May asks.

"Well, I would also invite my travel companions in the past to join in as well." Ash says. "You'll be interested to know about them."

The others nod as they are excited to attend something as big as a wedding.

Here is a new chapter, and as you can see, I introduce the Dynamax and Gigantamax in the story, and I also set the date of Ash and Lillie's wedding so that I can write their wedding in the next chapter. I hope you like this chapter and I am glad that my rewrite is finally finished and I can add new chapters.
