Making The Choice

Chapter 1: In the Beginning

It had been five years since Nella found the Winchesters, or did they find her? It was a hard and cold December, when it happened. Nella and her best-close friend, Rika, had been out late one evening. Instantly, Rika was snatched away and dragged in the obscurity. Nella and Rika had been walking on the sidewalk when it occurred. The shriek from her friends' lips froze Nella in place. At that instant, Nella saw it. Its evil-whitish eyes pierced hers, hungrily. The monster smirked at Nella and next very greedily slung Rika's motionless body over its huge shoulders, still in stare at her own. The creature's body was hidden by darkness of the shadow from the night. At that moment, Nella had no idea what was going on. She hoped it was all a dream, a vicious nightmare. Though, that wasn't the case.

"HELP ME!" Rika hoarse out. In a hasty experiment, Nella pinched herself. It didn't work, for the screams of her friend echoed out, panic and fear flooded inside Nella. With all her strength, she ran towards the dangers ahead. Nella closed in, and in spite of that. The creature unexpectedly speedily moved further away. This was a mer game to it and the monster was winning. Nella screamed and flopped down on the solid ground, tears streaming down her face.

"This can't be happening!" Nella whispered, repeatedly.

After a while, Nella picked herself up and went back to the way she previously came.

Around the corner, Nella bumped into a cop on duty. He had heard the wails and decided to check it out.

Instantaneously, Nella told him about the attack. He gave her a befuddled expression. Given the area Nella lived in, weird stuff had happened in this town frequently. He placed an arm around Nella to guide her to his cruiser. Where they went to the police station. Again, Nella gave the monster's illustration. All eyes cast a bewildered look on the scared woman. Next, she proceeded on her best friend description, making every detail very important to get right. Nella added that she had tripped over something. After that, she lost sight of the brute that had her friend. The tears began to form in her eyes. No matter how hard she tried to hold them back. In all, they end up cascading down.

Like a broken record to these types of cases, they informed Nella they would do everything in their power to find her friend. In a twisted way, Nella didn't believe their cited words.

Days later, the case of Nella's missing friend went cold. People had told Nella to brace for the worst, that her sidekick might be dead. She didn't want to believe it, until there was actual proof of Rika's nonexistence. What kept Nella going was the strength that one day she would find her ally. It just wasn't the same without her here. She had become numb when her friend's name was mentioned, and once again the buried ache rose to the of this, it was very stressful for Nella.

One day at the library, Nella heard a discussion from another table of how someone-something would appear and disappear from thin air. Whoever this person was had on the strangest clothing. Nothing from this time period. The group proceeded further and she sat there to reflect.

'Could this be the thing that took Rika?'

The woman continued on and mentioned that this was a 'hot babe' from what others had described of him. The dead looking waxen eye was definitely a turn off, though. The woman expressed in a revolted way. Nella rolled her eyes at this female's dialog.

Nella pondered the fiend that she saw the other night. She recalled it being tall and had a beasty body, with its white eyes peering at her own. When Nella would remember this, a sudden chill went through her core. Nella studied more about this situation, it made her wonder if she had missed anything. Immediately, Nella quickly packed up her belongings, after the research.

Nella had discovered that there was a supernatural crew called Ghost Facers. This group dealt with this sorta thing, but she hasn't found anything new added to their 'What to do if' videos. In the past, Nella would laugh at this and remark on how none of this didn't exist. Nevertheless, she was open to anything now.

Back at Nella's dorm room, she double checked the so-called items in need for this rummage; such as, iron, salt, cell phone and flashlight. Once gathered, she jammed them into her backpack. Nella couldn't believe that she was actually going on her first ghost hunt.

Nella recapped what she had watched; a recent spirit. That's what the two Ghost Facers signified it to be.

'So, was this what that was, too?'

Minutes later, Nella arrived at the abandoned place that the men in the video had mentioned. Suddenly, she switched her flashlight on. Being brave right now was the hardest thing to do, but the determination to find Rika blocked out all fears.

Inside the vicinity, it was quiet and so often water droplets would bounce onto a puddle creating an echo nearby.

Abruptly, she heard a shriek, followed by a clashing sound. When Nella whirled around, there was a ghostly woman in a furious glare at her. She began to come towards Nella. All the knowledge that she had collected just hours ago vanished from Nella's brain.

This thing- woman was dressed years before now, with blood and shredded materials.

"I WILL KILL YOU!" She hissed, tempestuously.

"Please! No!" Nella begged.

Nella didn't hear the shouting voice that came into the room, or even the rumble from the car. All of this had been muted from her. Why? Because the ghost had lifted Nella's body up and slammed her into a concrete wall.

No, Nella didn't heed the man, who asked if she were okay. Although, the ghost being engulfed in flames and burned to ashes caught Nella's eyes.

'What the hell?' Nella inquired in her mind.

The last image Nella saw before the blackness took over was a tall man with medium length brown hair and gray eyes. The man exhibited a worried expression as he came towards her. She listened incoherently to his words as the gigantic man beseech, "Miss?

More to come!
