Catherine woke up the next morning to the noise of the girls getting ready to go to breakfast.

"Aren't you coming, Catherine?" Pamela asked.

"No. I didn't wake up hungry," Catherine replied and continued to lie on her bed.

The girls left and Jane glared at Catherine before leaving the room. Her and Catherine's eyes met and Catherine could see the resentment in Jane's eyes.

"It's not my fault that Steve doesn't like her," Catherine thought.

The girls were in the hall and saw a lot of smoke. "Oh, my God! Is it a fire?" Pamela said and the girls ran off the ship.

The alarm went off and Catherine got up quickly. She was picking up clothes to wear when she was hit and fell on the floor senseless.

Everyone ran outside trying to understand what was going on.

Steve looked around and was startled when he didn't see Catherine.

"Catherine is not here, Freddie."

"No?" Freddie also looked around.

Steve approached Jane and the other girls and asked for Catherine.

"I'm not Catherine's nanny," Jane replied to him.

"Steve, she stayed in the room, she was still lying down when we left," Pamela told him.

Some explosions were heard and Steve despaired. "No!" Steve ran into the ship quickly, before anyone tried to stop him.

The smoke was suffocating, he entered the corridors and reached the room that Catherine shared with the other girls.

"Catherine?" He tried to open the door, but the door was locked.

"Catherine!" When she didn't respond, Steve kicked and broke the door. The room was full of smoke and Steve almost tripped over her. "Catherine!"

Steve saw that she was unconscious and picked her up. He took her off the ship and shouted for help, so the doctors could attend to her.

"Help me!" he shouted, drawing the doctors' attention.

The doctors asked him to put Catherine on the floor and the doctors found that she had inhaled a lot of smoke and had a head injury. They then decided to take her to the hospital.

Steve put his hands on his head and saw Catherine being taken.

"Your arm is covered in blood," Freddie told him.

"This is weird, Freddie. The door was locked and she was lying on the floor. She's smart, and she wouldn't lock the door knowing there was a fire on the ship."

"Are you saying that someone locked her up there on purpose?" Freddie asked.

"I don't know, but it's possible," Steve replied.

That same day Steve went to the hospital, but he could only see her through a window. He didn't know if she was sedated or just sleeping. He returned to the ship and was upset.

"I wanted to talk to her, Freddie."

"I'm sorry, Steve. Maybe tomorrow she'll be better and you can see her."

Steve just nodded and sighed. "What about the damage to the ship? Was the damage big?"

"The ship will not continue its journey, another ship will come to replace it. We need to pick up all of our belongings. We will stay in a hotel until the new ship arrives."

Steve collected his belongings and left the ship with Freddie. He saw Catherine's roommates at the hotel where they were staying. He approached Pamela and asked if anyone had picked up Catherine's things.

"Yes, the boss collected her things," Pamela replied.

"Thank you, Pamela," Steve replied.

"I was wondering how she is," Pamela told him.

"Me too, Pamela. I hope she is fine."

At night, Steve rolled over in bed and that was annoying Freddie. "Do you want to be quiet, Steve?"

"I can't sleep, Freddie. I can't stop thinking about Catherine."

"I'm sure she'll be fine when you get to the hospital tomorrow. Now, please sleep," Freddie told him.

The next day, Steve arrived at the hospital and was startled when he didn't find her in the room. He asked about her and was told that her father had taken her away. Steve was very disappointed, she was gone and he didn't even have time to say goodbye. He hadn't even asked for her phone number.

He returned to the hotel and was sitting on a bench while thinking. Jane sat next to him to mock over his feelings.

"It looks like Sleeping Beauty is gone, doesn't it? You think she's very smart, but she's only here because she has a high-ranking father in the Navy. She's not as bright as you think," Jane told him.

"What's your problem?" Steve told Jane.

"She doesn't deserve you," Jane replied.

"It was you, wasn't it? You hit her before she inhaled the smoke," Steve concluded after analyzing the facts.

"Can you prove it? Because if you don't, I can end your career for slandering and defaming me. "Your princess" is gone, and hopefully, she will never come back."

"Get out of here, you envious one!" Said Freddie. He was coming and heard the end of Steve and Jane's conversation.

Jane left and Freddie sat down next to Steve.

"This woman is dangerous, Freddie. She tried to kill Catherine."

"But you can't prove it, Steve."

"I know, and that's what makes me angry," Steve replied and took a deep breath. "I don't know if I'm ever going to see Catherine again. She's so nice, and it's my fault for what happened to her."

"It's not your fault. And of course you're going to see her again," Freddie told him.

"She's different, you know?" Steve said.

"I know, you already told me that three hundred times."

"I said, didn't I?"

"Yes, you said ..."
