Steve was at the airport waiting for Mary. The flight she was on landed and people started to pass by. Minutes passed and he didn't see Mary. He saw one last, lonely suitcase pass in front of him on the baggage carousel. Steve soon deduced that Mary had been up to something. His deduction soon materialized when a police officer approached to tell him that Mary was trapped in an airport room.

Mary apologized in her inconsequential way and Steve let her know he was upset that she hadn't been to John's burial.

"I had another appointment," Mary told him.

"What commitment could be more important than the burial of our father?" Steve thought.

That same day he asked Catherine for help in locating a fleeing killer. He asked her to use a satellite to help him. He knew it was risky, but he asked her anyway. And it was also a reason to hear her voice. He knew her break was near and he was looking forward to seeing her.

"You ask her to use a military satellite and you still invite her on a date?" Chin had told him.

Four days later, Steve found Mary in the kitchen in the morning. "Coffee?" Mary offered him a cup of coffee.

"No, Mary. I'm a little agitated today," he replied and drank some water.

"Are you going out tonight?" Steve asked her.

"I don't know. Maybe. Why the question?"

"I'm bringing a friend from the Navy, she's staying here at home for two days," Steve told Mary, referring to Catherine.

"Friend? I see..." Mary smiled. "Is she the same "friend" you brought to meet Dad?"

"How do you know that?" Steve was curious.

"Well, he called Aunt Deb and told her you had brought a girl home. He liked her, praised her a lot to Aunt Deb."

"Yeah, it's the same girl. You'll like her too."

"Fine. If I don't leave, I'll be quiet in my room and I won't disturb your date."

"Thank you Mary. I haven't seen her in a few months."

"Oh! So I think I should have a fire extinguisher on hand in case the walls of the house are on fire."

Steve smiled. "Don't be silly Mary"

Steve went to headquarters and Danny thought he was distracted.

"No, Danny. I'm fine," but actually he was really looking forward to the arrival of the ship that would bring Catherine and be docked for four days in Hawaii.

At the end of the day, Steve went home, showered, dressed, and then left to meet Catherine. She was already waiting for him when he arrived. She walked towards him smiling and he opened his arms to her, welcoming her in a long hug.

"I missed you so much, sailor."

"I missed you so much too, Cath."

"I was so worried about you! I'm sorry I couldn't be with you before."

"What's important is that you're here now," Steve kissed her for a long time, not minding the looks of the other sailors who also disembarked from the ship.

After the kiss, Catherine smiled fondly at him. "What an amazing sunset!"

"It's beautiful, isn't it? But your presence here overshadows any other glow."

"How are you?" Catherine asked and he knew this was a broad question.

"Sad, Cath. My father's death has really moved me, I feel guilty, I won't rest until I avenge my father's death."

"Please be careful," she asked.

"I will," Steve replied and grabbed her backpack. "Now are we going to take advantage of what little time we have?"

"Let's go, but first I have to check into a hotel."

"Hotel? No, you're staying at my house. Tomorrow I'll be off and we'll spend the whole day together. Let's go home, you'll put your things there and then we can go out to dinner."

"Okay, sailor."

Steve took her home quickly. They went to the bedroom and the clothes scattered on the floor denounced that there would be no dinner. They made the most of the time they had together after so long.

Mary hadn't left the house, but she stayed in her room as she had promised Steve. "What an embarrassing situation," she thought as she heard them both.

The next day Steve left after being called by the governor and left Catherine at home. She was in shock when she met Mary and learned that she was in the house all night.

"Oh my God! What a shame!" Catherine exclaimed.

"You said that a lot last night," Mary told her.

"Steve should have let me know you were home."

"The excitement of both of you was so great that I think he forgot. But it's okay, no need to be embarrassed."

"Thank you," Catherine told her.

"Shall we have breakfast? You must be hungry."

"Yes, I'm starving," Catherine told Mary.

Steve spent the day working and the night too. Since he would not return home until the next day, Catherine returned to the ship. She was going to work the next day.

Steve was focused on the case he had to solve, but he was also preoccupied with your weekend with Catherine ruined. "It won't stay that way. I'll surprise her." When he asked her for help again, he promised her that she would eat the best steak on the island that day.

Danny was surprised to learn that he had a girlfriend. Steve had never talked about his personal life. "Hmm...Catherine? So she finds the bad guys for you, she sleeps with you, does she cook too?"

"Wonderfully well," Steve replied without giving any further details.

At the end of the day, Steve took her to a deserted beach. He carefully prepared the best steaks on the island for her and chose a good wine.

"I don't know about the steaks, but the scenery is beautiful," Catherine told him.

They made love on the deserted beach at sunset and then ate the steaks. "I have the best steak and the best cook on this island," Catherine told him.

"I'm glad you liked it. I prepared everything just thinking about you."

"I liked it so much I want to repeat it."

"What? The steak?" Steve asked with a seductive smile.

"Everything!" She responded and kissed him teasingly.
