Blasphemy

You let blasphemy fall from your lips

Like it's nothing more then air

Before you begin to speak

Tell me this

Your religion took from others

Then told them they were heretical

That they would burn because they did not believe

Such irreverence is intolerable

You take from other religions

Claim as your own

Then destroy them as heresy

As pagan and evil

Christmas stolen from the Romans

Saints once herald as Gods and Goddesses

As Zi-u-sudra became Noah

Yet you speak of blasphemy so easily

Yet blasphemy is what you have done

Before your tongue wags,

O' sanctimonious ones

Remember of which your religion has done

Crusade after peccant Crusade

The treasures stolen from others

And remember of he who casts the first stone

A/N: If you don't know anything of what I'm talking about in concerns with the Roman Christmas, the stolen Gods, and especially of Zi-u-sudra, then go out and grab a book and sit down and read. Reading and exploring other things that might not agree with your beliefs is perhaps one of the best things one can do to better yourself. As for myself, I'm a student of many religions and am always learning. Again, you don't like what I say, feel free to go elsewhere. I'm not holding you here.
