Chapter 1: Welcome to Los Santos
US Airspace
"Ladies and gentlemen, we will be arriving at LSIA shortly. Local time is 9:05 PM, and the current temperature is 82 degrees. Please make sure to buckle your seatbelts. Thank you."
The captain's announcement in English was heard by anyone who was still awake from the long flight from Japan to the West Coast of the US. Most are either deep in their sleep or barely awake given the non-stop ten-hour flight.
However, there were those who were fully awake after sleeping early in the flight, among them one person who sat near one of the windows and could watch the vivid night sky of Los Santos.
Wearing a white plain shirt with a red and black whirlpool symbol on the front, camo fatigues, and a pair of light orange working boots, he appeared ex-military even though he was far from it. With his short blonde hair with whisker face birthmarks, he was Naruto Uzumaki.
While many on the flight were homecoming military servicemen, tourists, business people, and visiting family members, Naruto was perhaps the only one on the plane who came for different reasons to the States: To start his new beginning.
Life for the young Uzumaki had been rough with several bad hurdles, either due to his own antics or by sheer bad luck that haunted him time and time again. Even then, he at least grew up with his loving parents, Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, who were always there for him in both good times and bad times.
Even with his parents, Naruto could cite he was a problem of the environment he grew up in. His family were rather poor, and that in itself caused many problems when you're living check-by-check in one of Japan's biggest cities. At least them being former military service people kept their heads mostly above water, but that was not what got Naruto done with living in Japan.
Being poor was one problem, but it led to years of being picked on and ostracized, in his time being in Konoha High institute. From the day he started until graduation, it was nothing but years of pure hell that he absolutely hated. He barely graduated due to the numerous 'unfair' suspensions for defending himself and his little sister, Naruko. Because the Institute was shit at admitting they had a bullying problem, they swept it under the rug by making Naruto an exchange student dump him in another school for a year. Namely, America's Bullworth Academy and Davis High. The only years of school that Naruto considered were worth a damn. Even with those schools' violent and dangerous reputations.
Despite having enough offenses to be expelled, he was able to skirt that ironically by his parents' pulling strings. Naruto had at least proven he was normally not the one to throw the first punch unprovoked…for all the good it did. He was blessed to graduate, with minor effort, of course.
Still, his family wasn't the only thing he'd be leaving behind. He had friends like Shikamaru and Choji who always had their back. And so did Hinata, but Naruto reminded himself that he would probably never see her again. He knew she was going off to live her life out of Japan as well, and that's all that mattered to him.
Having no intentions to return back home to Japan, Naruto had only one bag of baggage with him with all his belongings in it. He had planned to begin his new life here thanks to an old school friend, Lamar Davis. They kept in touch via LifeInvader, trading tales and such about their times in and after high school.
Beep!
"Attention everyone, we've just entered Los Santos Airspace, we're about to land shortly, so prepare yourselves for landing."
That final announcement got everybody in their seats to prepare themselves, many woke up and released countless moans while they stretched before buckling up their belts.
Excitement, nervousness, hard breathing, and adrenaline, all that was running through his body and mind as he watched through the window the sight of the land he saw:
Los Santos, the beginning of his new life.

[The Introduction - Mall or Nothing]
After a half-hour of going through the normal procedures of getting out of the airport, Naruto was walking through the exit. With his duffel bag slung around his back, he had only carried a few clothes, a laptop, and some old photos from the Old Country, like the immigrants used to say.
He did sigh that he did not exactly get much in the cash exchange…only having three grand to his name.
Feeling something go off in his pants, Naruto pulled his iFruit phone out which had a text message from his mother asking if he made it.
'Son, have you arrived?'
She wanted assurance to know if he arrived safely, and he was content to reply back.
'Yeah, I made it. I need to get going, it's late.'
A moment had passed before she'd sent another text replying:
'I hope you find what you're looking for. It's close to noon here, your sister is already at school, just so you know, and your father just came back from his late-night shift.'
Naruto was leaving the airport, going right through the open doors taking in that Los Santos air. He saw that standing by the side of the road was a black Albany Emperor and inside it was his old running buddy from the exchange days who was already there waiting for him.
Lamar Davis was cracking his signature wide grin as Naruto slid into the car.
"What that shit do? You big old pimp, you?" Lamar said jovially as he fist-bumped Naruto. "Good to have you back for real, dog."
"Good to be here at last," Naruto said, returning it before cracking a smirk.
His old buddy was still wearing his supposed gang colors for The Families. Lamar started up his car.
"I got a present for you," Lamar remarked before revealing a pistol. "Standard shit, but it's untraceable. Welcome to Los Santos, Naruto."
Naruto whistled before cocking it, a Liberty City Glock. A bit special being that most pistols in LS were Taurus's. Lamar drove off as Naruto did the once over on it.
"A Glock, huh?"
"You told me you favored it, so I found somebody who got one. " Lamar said, "A weird bitch, but she a'ight."
"Okay, thanks," Naruto said to check the gun properly.
He pulled out the magazine before putting it back in. Whoever Lamar was buying from definitely knew their shit.
"Man dog, I'm glad you here, man," Lamar said, as he kept on driving through the airport on his way out. "Been too fucking long with you gone. There are all kinds of opportunities in LS. Hao's the best mechanic in town and Simeon's the best bullshitter who can get you work. G and the Families are going to be geeked to see you."
"Yeah, it's been years since that exchange year," Naruto remembered. "But I'm back now, and I am planning to stay."
"Yeah, you know it, homie. True that." Lamar said, making his final turn. "Look, I know you got that jet lag from that long-ass flight, but I got something planned now, a race with Hao and his peeps. You still remember him, right?"
"Hao? I still know him, sure." Naruto said. "Is Mimi there too?"
"Nah, sorry, man. She's now doing time, for a short while. Stupid shit for pot, man." Lamar informed him as he kept his eyes on the road. "Punk-ass Police pulled her over for some warrant and she's now doing a year bid."
"Ouch." Naruto frowned upon hearing that and wondered. "Hope she's doing alright."
"Mimi? She's a tiger, dog. No need to worry about her. She was more worried about her ride, that minivan of hers, but Hao got it stashed up." Lamar straight up told him. "Still, the LS Car Meet won't happen for some time."
The LS Car Meet, was one of the few things Naruto got to know in his short time in LS when he was in for a year. Where many different cars from all types were meeting up. Lowriders, race cars, high octane supercars, anything that had wheels and customs on it.
"Hold up, lemme turn this song up," Lamar said, turning the volume up, with the radio stationed on West Coast Classics - What You Wanna Do by Kausion was playing.
"That's my shit," Lamar said, enjoying this song while driving through Los Santos as the night sky had now fully gone over the city.
Alongside the streets were pedestrians, homeless people and some gang members seen walking and the prostitutes were out along with various people enjoying the nightlife. Los Santos oozed intrigue and danger being the home of the brave, the stupid, and the criminally insane.
Their ride went up further until they reached Vinewood - the LS poster for success, as Lamar's Emperor pulled up on a second-level parking lot where a couple of cars were seen congregating with people.
Once they parked, a few eyes saw the newcomers arrive and they watched as they left the car. Lamar got out to talk with them before coming back to Naruto who was putting on a holster on the side of his pants. Parents in the military taught you many things, namely how to appear professional with a weapon.
"You putting it out there, don't you?" Lamar said, noticing the holster. "You were in the military?"
"No, but my parents were. JSDF." Naruto told his friend. "Went hunting with my mom and dad multiple times, and they ran me through the wringer. Firearms, hand to hand, the standard shit that puts me above run-of-the-mill thug."
"Just like that, huh?" Lamar laughed at that. "Damn, You're more prepared than any other banger in LS, nigga."
"I'll take that a compliment," Naruto replied as he got out of the car and turned around to him and asked. "Are you coming out?"
"Yeah, just hold on a second, gotta make a phone call." Lamar said pulling out his phone, "You go and meet Hao, he's gonna be happy seeing you."
"I promised you I'd show you some moves. I'll keep my word on that." Naruto said as Lamar made the call.
It was a quick one, with Lamar passing on the word to Naruto that a few cars were available for him to choose from for the race. Naruto went on to see the cars that were available, telling the owners he's Lamar's friend, which got a few chuckles.
Once he laid his eyes on one car, Naruto kept staring at it until-
"Nah, Lamar wasn't bullshitting."
Hearing that voice, Naruto turned around to meet someone he hadn't seen in a while. Standing the same size, was a Chinese guy wearing a sleeveless sando shirt with a crucifix pendant, jeans, white Pro-Laps sneakers, and had a varying set of tattoos on his left arm.
"My eastern brother," Hao said.
"If it ain't my man from the Red Sea, what's up Hao?" Naruto remarked.
"A race. Standard shit, we going to race some sedans all through the Northern parts of LS. Not fancy, but I like a challenge." Hao said as Naruto playfully rolled his eyes. "I told Lamar to tell you to pick a car."
"The Karin Asterope," Naruto said, going up to the gray-colored sedan. "It's pretty close to Sultan."
"Yeah, if you like tuners." Lamar snarked as Naruto got in.
"Tell me again when you're eating my dust," Naruto said starting the car up.
The race was soon to begin, and Naruto was geeked to get into the action so early. If there was one thing he was going to miss…was his custom Annis ZR350. He had to leave it in his sister's hands. Lamar had been bugging him on the headset as Naruto was doing his best to keep on the trail for the race.
It was a one-lap race, nothing but putting the power to it. Speeding through Vinewood, he ended up splashing someone who was getting out of a clothing store. He could hear angry screams, but Naruto paid it no mind until a bullet scratched his ride.
"Jeez, getting splashed doesn't warrant a damn bullet." Naruto thought about swerving past another racer.
Lamar was catching up driving like a crazed madman dogging Naruto to spin out, but the Rockford Hills part of the race proved to be more taxing for Naruto. He had to put his drifting skills to the absolute test. Even with him nearly committing vehicular manslaughter, Naruto was a generally good driver. Though, the traffic did cause him to have close calls before hitting the finish line.
"I almost feel bad for Lamar for nearly hitting the cop," Naruto said to himself as the rest of the racers crossed the line.
[The Introduction - Learning the Ropes Alone]
Hao congratulated him, handing him 2,100 in cold hard cash as a reward for the race, to which Naruto was pleased with having more money in his pockets at least.
"Keep the car. And now we're even." Hao said with a wink before fist-bumping Naruto.
The Chinese mechanic had to return to his garage but made sure to keep in contact with Naruto this time by exchanging numbers. Just then when Hao left, it was Lamar who just then pulled up in his ride, having already pulled up on the parking lot with his phone up to his ear before he then hung up.
"You were saying, Lamar?" Naruto said with a smirk.
"Nigga, don't hate. We got work. Well, I got you work. G called. There's a deal going down on the Olympic Freeway, right under it. G's interested in the product. I would take the job, but I thought of you. I need to handle some shit on my own anyway." Lamar remarked, giving the hint already. "You know how it is."
"Wait, you want me to go and bust up some drug deal? By myself?"
"Sure, it'll be easy, Mr. Military." Lamar insisted. "You need another piece, I'll give you the number of the chick I got the Glock from."
He pulled up his phone again saying, "You lucky I got her number, she doesn't stay in one place for too long, bout to pull out for the city this week."
"I'll understand that."
He gave Naruto the number, which came up as Danica. Lamar had left and Naruto decided to give the number a try.
"I was recommended to you by Lamar," Naruto said smoothly. "Told me you were the person to speak to for equipment, Danica, right?"
Keeping it vague, Naruto waited for a response.
"I always pegged Lamar as having more serious friends. But it is I. What can I do for you?"
Being given a sharp response, Naruto turned his eyes to Lamar, who held up his 'I don't know' gesture.
Shaking his head, Naruto straight up asked them through the phone. "I'm in need of your stock. Where can we meet?"
"Caesars Auto Parking. They have a lot on Vespucci Boulevard and Calais Avenue, Little Seoul… Second floor, and you got twenty minutes."
Hanging up afterwards, Naruto marked the location on his phone before putting it away before turning to Lamar.
"Alright, I'll be getting there, you sure she's legit?" Naruto asked.
"Danica's good, N. Just a bit quiet…but damn she is fine," Lamar said as he got to his own car and added. "If you got that stash, you know where to find G's spot at. Casa Cristina."
"I hope you won't let her looks scam your ass. Wouldn't be the first time that happened." Naruto said. "Because with you and women, disaster seems pretty likely most of the time."
"Say's you, fool." Lamar joked as he got inside his own car and said. "Ay, at least the both of us are dogs, while another homie is a straight house cat, see you later!"
Lamar's Emperor drove off, with that last comment that he referred to as 'House Cat' it didn't take the blonde too long to know who he meant by.
[-]
In his Asterope, Naruto was making his way to Little Seoul, and finally spotted what he was looking for. Caesars Auto Parking.
"Here it is," Naruto said, turning into the entrance of the parking lot.
As it began to drive upwards towards the top floor, and saw that the lot was empty: except for one car.
There he saw a slick black customized Albany Virgo with a woman leaning against it. At five foot six, she was a pale brunette in a dark gray trenchcoat dress, dark gloves, dark Hinterland boots, and black sunglasses looking like a spy straight from the movies of old with her makeup making her look older than she actually was.
Not denying she looked pretty fine, he set those thoughts aside as he parked the car right in front of the mysterious brunette, who wasn't fazed out by the headlights that shined in her face.
"You Danica?" Naruto asked as he got out.
"Yep, that's me. You must be Naruto." Danica said calmly. "Hmm…you don't look like a cop, and you're a friend of Lamar…and unlike many of his friends, you actually use a holster. So you're someone who knows their shit."
"Guess I don't fit the file of Lamar's friends." Naruto chuckled as he extended his hand. "Name's Naruto Uzumaki."
Her glove-wearing hands accepted him and they shook.
"Danica Omen." She opened up the trunk to show her stock. "Let's get down to business."
Opening up the trunk was a stock of Liberty's finest, pistols, machine guns, rifles, grenades, molotov cocktails, shotguns, semi automatics of all kinds, even a grenade launcher and many types of ammo from normal to the explosive kinds. It was an whole fucking arsenal to go to war with. However, she did have a few odd things like pool cues and parachutes that he'd take note for later.
Naruto whistled at all of that weaponry, saying, "Like, fuck. That's a whole lot of guns. Some good military hardware there with that MG."
"This is America, what else did you expect?" Danica remarked with a clear chuckle. "2008 and 2009 were good years for botched gun control measures to lead to everyone getting a gun from then to today. And I see you know your guns, I like that."
"I'll take body armor, a knife, some Glock pistol ammo, and a sawn-off shotgun," Naruto said, making his picks.
"That will be eleven hundred.," Danica said before Naruto handed off the cash.
Naruto got the body armor before receiving his new arms and ammo. He got a sheath to hide the knife under his pant leg which furthered Danica's approval of him.
"You know…normally I don't make the offer, I'll give you a Mac 11 for a discount price, and I'll give you some spare ammo for it. In exchange, we stay in touch. I can see you'll be a reliable customer." Danica said, keeping vague. "Let's say 200 bucks and your number, if you please?"
Naruto gave it to her as she tossed him a Micro-SMG with a few extra magazine clips.
"A ganbanger's favorite. Consider it an act of good faith, Mr. Uzumaki." She said, closing her trunk. "Welcome to Los Santos. Prove yourself, and you may find a job from me in your lap."
She strode to her car and got in before starting it up. She bid him goodbye as she drove out of the parking garage. Naruto took a breath of relief, relaxing a bit. He could wonder about her after he dealt with more important matters.
The moment Danica's car was gone, Naruto's phone buzzed with a text. He pulled it out and saw it was a text from Lamar.
'Power Street, underneath the Olympic Freeway. The old abandoned storage units. Leave no traces.'
Deleting the text afterwards, Naruto got back inside his car with the weaponry he bought. As he made way towards the spot, he steeled himself for the fight.
"Alright, let's go."
It didn't take long for Naruto to arrive. He killed the car engine and took a breath. This was it, the start of his first job. He was all for life as a rogue and excited to put it to work at what he was good at. You either live to fight another day or you die…and today was someone's day to die.
He puts the magazine into the Mac 11 and stares at the entrance of the storage unit, where he could see a few lights being on, possible tail lights of cars that drove inside the place.
"Here goes nothing." Naruto thought before moving on closer.
Opening and closing the door, Naruto crept out as he slowly made his way towards the entrance, slowing his steps to ensure he was not heard. Standing right there, by their cars, were members of two different LS gangs. There were the Ballas, the rival gang of Families since the 1960s that had its roots in South Central, and Davis to be exact. They wore anything that was related to purple, a color Naruto was opposed to on principle. And the other side was the Latino gang, the Vagos. A rather vicious gang that was perhaps one of the three major gangs within the Latino community, as their numbers stretched throughout the city of Los Santos, but their stronghold was in Rancho and across East Los Santos.
"Alright, Ese, got the product?" One of the Ballas asked, in a white shirt with blue pants. "Coz I got the money, and I wanna get the fuck back home."
"Chill already, we got it right here, holmes." The bald Vago in a checkered shirt said, calling for the carrier to bring the stash.
It was a poorly covered package that was obviously filled with that white powder. The Ballas just looked at the Vagos in mild annoyance for the poor packaging.
"Pure 100% grade Colombian Coca that came straight over the Senora Desert just a week ago." The Vago stated its value.
"I hope you ain't bullshiting us with that." The female Balla said, cocking her pistol.
She was making a scene that the Vagos really were getting annoyed at.
"Oh please, we don't have time for bullshit. This is business." The Vago remarked. "If we wanted you dead, you already would have-"
BANG!
A shotgun shell blew a hole in the shirt of the talking Vago, sending the gang member flying into the hood of the car behind him. His weight shattered the windshield.
"You ghetto fucks!" Another Vago said as they whipped out their guns.
Soon all guns started blazing, with the first Balla to be killed was the woman, who just got a bullet sent flying right through her head by the nearest Vago. The deal had descended to the classic deal gone wrong.
Naruto stayed in his cover, snickering as nobody noticed that he was the shooter. If anything, he noticed as they were fighting that a good chunk of them had really poor aim. Cocking his sawn-off shotgun, he looked for another easy target.
"Eh yo! Let's bail now!" One Balla was running towards Naruto's direction. "Fuck these-"
Naruto had his knife out before grabbing the Balla and slamming him into the wall stunning him briefly.
"The fuc-" was all the gangbanger got out before the knife sank into his throat.
He gagged on his own blood before Naruto pulled it out, cleaning the blade off on the Balla's jacket. He promptly jacked the 400 dollars in the dead man's wallet along with the ammo and Molotov Cocktail on him. He left the body to watch the fight, and smirked, seeing that the carrier was trying to back up his friends.
Grabbing his Mac-11 and putting it into action, he stood up to clean up the remaining gang members that were alive. The Ballas turned around to see bullets raining on them.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
One of the Ballas got shot with three rounds in his back, making him fall down flat. The other Ballas quickly turned around to spot Naruto.
"Hey, we got company!"
Naruto crouched for accuracy and squeezed the trigger for a short moment. He riddled the other gangster with multiple bullets, shredding through the banger's chest. That dying gangster had no time to shoot back…only to expire as he fall on his back to the ground.
"Ah, shit!"
"Hijo de Puta!"
Naruto bolted forward to keep on firing at the gang members. Having got the drop on them, he kept locking on targets and shot the remaining gang members left and right before they could even lock on him.
"Let's get out of here!"
Two Vagos were running past the cars towards the other end of the storage unit.
"I don't think so," Naruto said before firing at them.
The two were mowed down from the back before they even would have even reached the street. One Vago came out from behind his cover with his Taurus pistol and fired a shot.
BANG!
The bullet directly hit Naruto in the chest, luckily the body armor saved him. Rightly pissed, he whipped the gangbanger's face with the gun to send him to the ground before emptying the remains of the clip against the last Vago leaving his body a bloody mess.
Checking his surroundings, Naruto saw that basically he was perhaps the only person alive. With the air warm from the intense shooting, he began searching for the little package he spotted earlier.
"Urg…"
That gurgling sound made Naruto turn around, and what he saw was the Vago that he blasted with the shotgun. The bloody thug was still unmoved from the hood he had landed on clearly on Death's doorstep.
"Shit, I guess I can give you props for eating bullets better than these guys," Naruto commented.
"You won't be laughing when he finds you, you fu-"
Naruto smashed a Molotov on the spaniard's face before going to get the package and counting up the loot. $4000 in cash total from the bag he found that was meant for the exchange, plus some extra money he got from the bodies, plenty of ammo, and a M4 Carbine Rifle that was going to go to a better owner. He snatched a white Heat backpack out of one of the cars of the Ballas to get some storage space. Quickly stuffing his findings in the backpack, Naruto then closed it off and slung it on his back.
"Good thing it's basic white." Naruto thought before hearing sirens. "Of course…"
Naruto ran for his car as the bloodied car on fire exploded. He was sure that the scene would convince the cops all the shooters were killed by each other. Not even thinking of the idea of a third party. Naruto hopped inside his car, with the backpack under the dash and the rifle in the backseat. He turned the engine on and began turning around to make his escape, only to hear a siren.
"Oh great, that's what I get for cutting the engine off," Naruto said before curving around onto the freeway.
Evading the cop was easier said than done, as the cop was persistent. However, the cop would get into a wreck thanks to a drunk driver. Naruto wished he did not have to drive all the way up to the Tataviam Mountains to get away from that, but what's done is done. He checked his phone for where he was…
Land Act Reservoir.
Naruto had to stick to dirt roads for the next two hours, with the time before near eleven at night. Not minding the silence while having a low profile, he had taken the time to relax only to see something that got him nearly speechless.
"What the…"
He stopped the car to make sure he clearly saw what was there. Down the hill, he saw something that he wasn't expecting to come across. That being a complete wreck was smothering smoke out of the totaled engine of a wrecked midnight blue Bravado Dukes that was flipped over with a dead body inside it…and a person who was seen laying next to the wreckage - still alive.
"Holy shit."
She was a young Asian woman near his age. She was rather pale with purple hair and slate gray eyes. She had clearly seen better days. Bullet holes had covered the vehicle in a whole.
This was a hit, Naruto thought. A botched one given that the girl was the only survivor of it. Through a bout of extreme luck, she was both alive and found by someone not going to finish the job. The woman noticed the lights of the car, and Naruto got out of the car.
"Mind helping out?" She asked.
"Shit, what happened?" Naruto asked, kneeling down to her side to check.
She coughed, groaning in pain.
"A job gone wrong...damn it!" She said as she struggled to get up. "Piece of advice: Never take jobs from religious nutjobs."
"Did a gang of Catholic nuns shoot you and your friend up?" Naruto asked, making a slight joke for the moment.
He was glad that she was not too terribly injured, only having some nasty bruises. He had thought a little humor couldn't hurt.
She had a pained laugh for him before saying, "No, that would have been more dignified. It was those damn Epsilonists."
"I'll get you to a hospital then…" Naruto offered, but she shook her head.
"Not really an option considering...the situation. But can you get my duffel bag out of the trunk? There's something precious I need to save…" She asked before the car broke out in flames. "Shit! Please.."
Naruto hastily shot open the trunk and got the bag out as she got back, as it was clear it was going to blow. He got it and her away before it exploded. She sadly watched the smoldering remains of her beloved car.
"There goes my ride...and what I was living in." She said, holding her gut in pain. "Shit! Insurance doesn't cover cults."
She spat with some blood in her mouth, having nearly bitten her tongue off in the crash.
"If they did, they'd actually have to do their jobs. I passed a 24/7 on the way here. I can get you patched up." Naruto said, helping her to his car.
She relied on him as her leg was still hurting badly, so she was hopping towards it.
"Just don't do any funny business when you're patching me up." She warned him as she got in the passenger seat.
Naruto couldn't help but chuckle and joke as he got back into the car.
"Not exactly turned on by girls in injured states," Naruto said, getting her to laugh.
"Good answer. The name's Isaribi. Umi Isaribi." She said.
"Uzumaki Naruto."
Turning the car back on, Naruto then began to continue driving with the plan being to get to that 24/7 next to the highway.
"So, Naruto." Isaribi began, holding her wounds. "What were you doing here?"
"Funny enough, I just came to LS from Japan, to begin a new life in the States. So that's a crazy start, if I might add." Naruto replied to her question truthfully before asking. "But I'm gonna ask you, why are you working with these Epsilon people? Even from Japan, we know they are some dangerous wacko people to deal with."
"Well, first, let me say this: Welcome to America. And secondly, to answer your question, it's simple: Money." Isaribi answered and continued. "They offered me 400 grand to deliver one of their own members all the way out here in this place. Give me 100,000 upfront. But as you clearly have seen, it was all a trap to silence me and that member to keep their secrets. Seems they wanted to cut on the cost by cutting out the middleman."
Naruto could only shake his head at what he was hearing with this crazy light-blue wearing cult that portrayed itself as peaceful. It didn't actually surprise him what kind of shady things this organization was involved in.
"They surely have shown to be total amateurs, I can say that."
"I know, right? They could've used anything from rifles to even an RPG, but these cheap bastards used cheap machine gun pistols, like Tecs and Uzis. Only reason I'm alive is because of shit aim. Guess I avoided the fate of my family. All met their ends to a bullet." Isaribi vented as she pressed her hand to her wound.
"Everyone?" Naruto asked taken back by that claim.
"Everyone," Isaribi said seriously. "You'd swear my family is cursed. The last of my family died in '01, and I've been on my own since…but what brings you out here."
"A job that went slightly better than yours, if I've got to be honest. I was just lying low after busting up a deal." Naruto replied with a minimal amount of details. "As far as survivors, I don't think there are any left."
"Don't get a big head, the first night doesn't dictate the next one," Isaribi said as Naruto pulled into the Tataviam Truckstop.
Naruto pulled into the parking lot before he went inside the 24/7 to get a few things before the two went to an empty truck stop bathroom.
…
Once they were inside the empty bathroom, they were simply glad that there was nobody else inside it. Isaribi removed her ruined blue chore coat, blood stained tank top, ruined fingerless gloves, brunt jeans, and torn up sneakers. She was left standing in just a plain blue sports bra and a pair of blue panties, the only articles of clothing undamaged and lacking bullet holes.
For what it's worth, Naruto did admire a girl who kept in shape as it was clear she had seen plenty of action. She was pretty decent in the chest department with a generous bubble butt.
Isaribi warned him, "Keep your eyes on the wounds, if you will?"
"For what it's worth, you can still look good even with injuries," Naruto said as she rolled her eyes.
"You really know how to charm a girl who's feeling like shit. Now, can you please get on with it? My tits aren't going anywhere." Isaribi said as Naruto got the memo and continued on.
Naruto was quick to get bandages on her, thankfully she did not have any bullets lodged in her. This made it easy to clean off the wounds and tend to her few bad bruises that were going to take some time to heal.
"I'll let you get into some fresh clothes," Naruto said, excusing himself out of the room.
'At least he excused himself.' Isaribi thought before trashing the clothes she wore and opening her bag for a change of clothes.
She peeled off her underwear and replaced it before changing to a blue track top under a brown leather jacket, navy and black track pants, black fingerless gloves, and blue accented skate skates. She got a black du-rag around her head before tying it at the back and leaving with her bag.
…
Waiting outside against the door of his car, Naruto saw Isaribi walk in on her new threads, which in all honestly got him to admire her style.
"Good to see you're in one piece," Naruto said, eyeing her up. "Nice threads, good style."
"It's all the simplicity. This isn't really my best." Isaribi remarked.
While she was giving an innocent smile, Naruto's thoughts were anything but innocent.
'She definitely has Cs. Style the hair and she can pull off a damn good Faye Valentine cosplay.'
Yep, Naruto's thoughts weren't always as innocent as many people think of him. He appreciated good looks when he saw them.
"I'm just glad I had adrenaline pills," Isaribi remarked as she rubbed her neck. "That shit is handy for slowing down time around you and letting you focus. Zaibatsu might be a shady ass company, but they know their way in making temporary strength boosters and pain dullers."
She walked to Naruto's car, getting in the passenger's seat to his surprise, not expecting her to stay with him.
"You know, you saved my life. While I could pay you back with cash, I think there's a better way to pay you back." She said as Naruto raised an eyebrow.
"Uhm…"
"Not like that…yet. I was thinking of a partnership." Isaribi clarified…halfway, enough.
"Partnership?" Naruto asked.
"You got my ass out of a bad situation…and you brought me good luck I badly needed. Maybe it's a sign…and fuck maybe you're kinda cute." Isaribi said as Naruto chuckled at that compliment.
He was a bit taken aback by it, but he kept his composure.
"Well, you just made my first night a lot better."
"Keep your gun in check, cowboy." Isaribi teased as he got back inside the car and started the engine.
"Let's go back to the city," Naruto said. "Got to bring something back to my contact."
Isaribi let out a yawn, clearly a bit drained from the entire ordeal. She was hoping Naruto had gotten himself an apartment. Leaving the mountains, they went straight back to Los Santos.

[Strawberry, Los Santos]
With the night still being close to an early morning, Naruto had gotten his ride repaired and repainted to a dull blue color that he could put up for the moment. It was not like he had money to put towards customization at the moment.
Having just entered Strawberry, he knew this was Families' turf. Namely, it was the Chamberlain Gangster Families set, the leading subset of the leader when Grove Street disbanded years ago. The streets were relatively empty with the earliest people coming out being the working women of the night and a few gangbangers who kept eyeing Nauto's car.
One banger even kept eyeing through his sunglasses at the passenger seat while tailing them on his mountain bike. He quickly spotted Naruto, and nodded before turning in another direction. Upon seeing that, that got Isaribi to turn her head towards him.
"These guys seem to know you," Isaribi stated, asking him. "You friends with them?"
Naruto answered. "I'm friends with some of them, actually did a year in a student exchange program at Davis High a long time ago."
"To Davis High? A gang school…" Isaribi said surprised. "What got you to exchange a Japanese school for one in Davis?"
"My home school isn't exactly the most competent. Full of nepotism and entitlement." Naruto snarked. "They exchanged me because they wanted to get brownie points to secure their bonuses. And because I beat up one of their golden kids because he touched my sister's ass."
"You're gaining some respect out of me. Honestly, try growing up in foster care." Isaribi sniped.
"I've heard the horror stories," Naruto said, shaking his head.
"Ok, we're going to have a talk about loyalties and stuff tomorrow. For now, let's get your job done." Isaribi said relaxing a bit.
"We're here."
The car stopped in the parking spot, right next to some apartment complex: Casa Cristina.
"Just a quick delivery, and then we'll go," Naruto said getting out of the car. "Wait here."
"Hell no, no offense, but I'm coming with you," Isaribi commented, as she got out of the car. "I need to stretch my legs after the drive."
They both then began walking in the alleyway that led them towards the entrance of the apartment, while some of the Family gang members were keeping an eye on the car.
"You think they're going to steal the car?" Isaribi questioned. "I've never stepped foot near South Central."
"They're most likely Gerald's lookouts, and seeing we're going to G's place. I doubt they want to steal it." Naruto told her. "Nobody is dumb enough to piss off Gerald when it comes to business. Mainly because he's the only guy who's professional enough out of the set except the leaders."
"I've gathered information on the gangs, but never worked for them. I was sticking to more outside work…typically pays better with less bullshit, until now." Isaribi said before thinking, 'If it's one thing those Espilonists failed to take from me was my intel I had gathered on the gangs.'
Once they entered the inside courtyard, there they saw the two people waiting for them. With the first of them being Lamar, but the other was Gerald.
In his beige hooded jacket, black t-shirt, blue jeans, the average sized Gerald was seen there waiting patiently. His favorite white fedora and silver LS chain on him, he wore sunglasses even if it was too early for them. The low-key drug dealer was standing near the door of his apartment, with Lamar standing next to him, chilled out.
"Naruto," Gerald said before seeing the girl. "Who is she?"
"Not a banger, not a cop either," Naruto said. "More of an independent criminal, if I can say that."
"To be precise, was." Isaribi remarked before offering her hand over to Gerald as a good gesture; "Name's Isaribi, I'm his new partner."
"Gerald, but you can call me G for short." Gerald accepted her hand and shook it. "A friend of Naruto's is a friend of mine."
"Partner you say? When the hell did this happen? Damn, you fine as a motherfucker…got that ass and all." Lamar said, checking her out, causing Isaribi to roll her eyes at him.
"Well, I would have to have the looks…but I'm quite capable. So look but don't touch." She joked, getting a few laughs from everyone.
"I'm assuming you're a martial artist." Gerald's lookout as they all looked at him. "What? All Asians know martial arts."
Naruto and Isaribi looked at each other, both knowing they could not exactly say the lookout was wrong.
"Alright, you got me. I know martial arts." She said.
"Damn, you Asians and your martial arts," Lamar said, rubbing his neck next. "You're some lethal motherfuckers from the East, I tell you that."
"Try East Coast, I'm from Liberty City." She corrected him with a huff.
"East Coast? Not surprised if I gotta be fair." Gerald noted before turning to Naruto. "You got what I'm looking for?"
Naruto got it out of his bag to show it.
"High grade coke. But I'd check it first to see if it isn't bullshit. You never know. Considering the dumbass packaged this thing badly, I'm not so trusting of the claim" Naruto said carefully as Gerald took it.
Grabbing a knife out of nowhere, Gerald then cut a whole in the package, as he opened it up as some white powder was seen hanging on the blade's side.
"Lamar, take a sniff," Gerald told him, as Lamar did come over and laid his nose over the blade-
*Sniff!*
Lamar's head leaned backwards as his eyes blinked a couple of times, having done just some in front of everybody.
"And?" Gerald asked. "Is it legit?"
"It is, nigga, damn." Lamar said, shaking head upwards slightly and stating. "That's some good shit."
"Alright. That means you did good." Gerald said, turning to Naruto to compliment him. "You did real good, Naruto."
He then handed over a small wad of cash he gave to him saying, "Here's your cut. You earned it. No need to count it. You got anything else interesting,…bring it my way. I may have a job or two for you and your partner."
"You see? I told you he could do it." Lamar boasted. "My nigga."
"I know that. I could trust Naruto with a job, unlike you." Gerald said annoyed, before turning to Naruto.
"Good to hear, we're out of here. Lamar, have fun looking at what you'll never probably touch." Naruto said before playfully flipping him off without looking back. "Speak to you later."
That got the stoic Gerald and the other bangers to crack a smile as Naruto drove off. Lamar was all pouty about it but wasn't the one to keep a grudge and laughed a bit too.
"Yo, I'mma need his number." Gerald said as Lamar nodded and pulled up his phone.

As Naruto was driving, the thought of where they were going to stay came up. He turned to Isaribi asking if she knew anywhere they could go. Luckily, Isaribi had the right eye on some real estate.
It took her a short while, but she secured a deal for them having known the person who owned the property. An apartment in Strawberry, at a decent building called The Tahitian. $20,000 got them the apartment and spot in the parking garage for two cars, and it was not far away, only a foot away.
After having parked the car, the two carried their bags up to their first real base of operations and entered their place.
"Room 9." Naruto said reading the key number. "Typical. 9."
Isaribi questioned. "How so?"
"Simple, it's my lucky number." He said as he opened the door, allowing them to enter.
The place was fairly decent, a medium-sized living room with some decent furnishings, leading to an open kitchen. There was a small bathroom…and one bedroom with one bed.
"Home sweet home, I guess." She said putting her bags down. "Tomorrow, we should go clothes shopping. For you at least."
"Right…but about the bed." Naruto said, bringing up that awkward fact. "Its only one-"
"We're sharing it. No big deal." Isaribi said crassly as she dumped her bag on the couch. "Just don't poke me with your erection when you wake up in the morning."
"Well then, don't poke me with your nipples then." Naruto snarked back, slightly red in the face while he removed his shirt. "I'm going to use the shower."
"You do that."
…
While Naruto was still busy washing himself in the shower, Isaribi had already put up her gear in and around the house, with their clothes in the drawers and her tech already connected to the local Wi-Fi and electricity plugs.
She was now checking her stocks online on LCN, as she had a few things to keep track of.
"Damn, my ProLaps stock is going up." Isaribi said to herself. "At least I didn't miss out on that."
Naruto came walking out of the shower clad in a towel. "It's free now, now the water's warm."
"Sure, lemme get my clothe-" She abruptly stopped speaking when she noticed Naruto's upper body. "Well, I guess I'm not disappointed. Former athlete?"
"Just take care of my body, nothing much." Naruto chuckled at her startled reaction. "Why? Something you like?"
She just then closed her laptop and lightly shoved him aside as she entered the bathroom. She closed the door before her face would turn up red. Naruto figured they were even.
…
After now both had gotten a refreshing shower, they both were now in sleepwear. Isaribi was wrapped up in the sheet checking her bank account on her phone.
"Okay, I just checked my finances, and I am just down to about 50K." Isaribi commented as she thought of a plan. "And seeing I've lost my weapons, a good chunk of money burn…I have a lot of work to do once I'm in better shape. May as well get some rest."
"We'll first take some rest now, because we both need it." Naruto remarked as he himself got under the blankets. "About the guns, I know a good arms dealer if you don't mind Liberty City guns."
Isaribi's head turned towards him asking if he knew Grossman.
"Who?" Naruto asked.
"Right, she goes by Omen." She reminded herself before thinking back.
"I know Danica quite well…both me and her are from the same neighboring states of Liberty and Alderney." Isaribi said, as Naruto was curious. "We met up when we were young, by coincidence."
"What's her deal, then?"
"Her dad's a lawyer…and was a prospect biker for the Lost. A motorcycle club from Alderney, cold bunch, pretty notorious, especially in the early 2000s. They were pretty badass…but that before they went to shit because their old leader got out of rehab in '08. Billy Grey. I had the misfortune of knowing him…good riddance he's dead. Piece of racist, cancerous shit." She said with a shudder.
Which was ironic considering she knew the Lost for having multiple members of different ethnicities compared to their white supremacist rivals, the Angels of Death.
"All I can tell you on that end was the Alderney chapter fell to shit that year with the war between it, the Angels of Death MC, and the mob. A key lesson for you, backstabbing a criminal group while having a war with your rivals is a stupid idea. That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me…" Isaribi said fuming. "Fucking Johnny wasn't even a better leader. He was tolerable, but he was fucking weak for that bitch of an ex-girlfriend."
"What happened to them?" Naruto asked.
"A civil war, so it was a three-way war with the mob, themselves, and the Angels. In the end, Niko wiped out the Pegorino mob, the Angels got beat down, but…the Lost were completely destroyed in Alderney. What's left moved to LS and to Blaine County, around the Alamo Sea. Last I heard, Johnny got back with Ashley. I haven't seen them since the end of '08, but fuck them. Danica never got along with her parents. She was not a big fan of the Lost either considering Dave was using her to get on Billy's good side. Her mom's a bull-busting FIB shrew and dad's a pushover. Her mother swooped in on the Angels taking advantage of them being weakened to take credit for busting them, but everyone in the underground knew exactly how she really got them."
"This got an end?" Naruto joked.
"Parents divorced and Danica left on her own, cutting ties with them both." Isaribi said curtly.
"Well, I think saving her friend would warrant a discount." Naruto mentioned jokingly.
"Maybe." Isaribi said sarcastically. "And maybe we'll win the lottery."
"Anyway, tomorrow's a new day, we've got plenty of planning then." Naruto said, turning in. "Good night."
"Yeah, you too." She said turning in as well.

(A/N: Yes, I have adopted this fic to run it as one of my smaller projects. It's nice to have a Naruto story I enjoy more wholeheartedly. (The four chapters I made with AmusedLight are mostly preserved.) I had made some changes having taken in some of the criticism. I also added a tracker for weapons and cash to make things easier for myself and you all.)
