The Birth of Rini

It was five in the morning and Serena wasn't able to go to sleep.

"Anything wrong Sere?" asked a very sleepy Darien.

"I'm fine. Go back to sleep."

Serena and Darien was a married couple. They were hoping for a child ever since.

Serena's POV

I'm so scared! I'm going to the clinic to see if there is anything wrong with me. I've been sick for 2 months already. I have a job and I can't go in this condition! He'll fire right away, in fact, I think I'm already out!

Darien is a doctor but with him just working, we won't have enough money to feed us. If I'm pregnant, I better put he or she to child care so I could work and help the family. I just hope I'm not pregnant, not now!

Serena went to the clinic with Darien because Serena lie a lot!

"The results are in!" cried out the doctor, "You're pregnant!"

Serena was shocked. She nearly fainted. Darien was sort or upset but at least they could have Rini.

Darien's POV

I was shocked but I was still happy. Serena nearly fainted and fell out of her chair. The doctor suspected that we didn't want a child. Yes just, we don't have enough money to raise a family. I hope we could continue Rini's future. Serena needs to be queen soon.

"I'm 2 months pregnant and we don't have enough money to raise a family!" Serena cried out. She was so upset.

"Don't worry Sere. We'll find a way."

Serena was still upset. She wanted to run away and start a new life but it wasn't needed. She was going back to work now she knows what is happening. Serena cheered up a little and Darien smiled.

9 Months Later

Serena sat on the couch reading a book. Pain shot through her body, she screamed out in pain.

"Is it time?" asked Darien. Serena nodded. He guided Serena to the car and drove her to the hospital in 5 minutes flat. A doctor waited in front of the car with a wheel chair.

"How far apart are your contractions?"

"About 6 minutes." Serena screamed again as another contraction hit. The nurse took Serena into the "Delivery Room". Serena was breathing heavily. She lay on a bed holding Darien's hand. The scouts came racing in.

"Stay in the waiting room. There are too many people here." The scouts nodded than walked away.

"Okay Serena," ordered the doctor, "PUSH!" Serena pushed with all her might. She gave out another push. Sweat poured down Serena's forehead. Serena screamed as the baby came out.

"One more push!" Serena did what she was told. The baby entered the world and Serena started to cry.

"Congratulations! It's a girl!" Darien took the child and held her in his arms. Darien started to cry as well.

"She's so beautiful!" murmured Darien.

"I heard that!" Serena was exhausted but still heard what Darien said. Darien giggled.

"Can I hold her?" Darien nodded and handed the baby towards his wife. Serena was so happy.

"What shall we name her?"

"Small Lady Serenity or Rini for short," replied Darien. Serena smiled.

"Small Lady Serenity, perfect."
