Chapter 13: From Liberty with Nostalgia

[Los Santos]

The neighborhood of Strawberry was slowly walking up as the Tuesday sun began the rise. Naruto yawned as he got up and immediately went for a quick shower. Once done and drying his hair, he went to his closet to get dressed. He settled for a slate Rearwall t-shirt under his Double P varsity jacket, a pair of urban camo pants, a pair of orange accented skate sneakers, a pair of orange sweatbands, his Datejust watch, and his fingerless gloves before putting on a pair of orange Broker shades. Getting his things in order, he left the apartment.

As he trudged over to Yara's apartment, he blocked out Fu's teasing words from last night. He sighed as she had gotten him thinking of her. He knocked on Yara's door before texting her that he was at her door. He heard the door click and he let himself in. The apartment was similar to his, being fairly low-end.

"Yara?" Naruto said only to pause to see Yara with just a towel and a pair of black panties.

She was nonchalantly drying her hair leaving her 32BB breasts resting perky on her chest that showed a muscled frame. There were scars on her torso, with them small and fading, which added to her rough exterior with her toned body. From within her black athletic panties, thick kinky pubes crept out beyond their stretchy borders.

"I could have waited for you to put some clothes on." Naruto said while thinking, "Shit, her cult didn't believe in razors..."

"It is no big deal. Soldiers were typically sparring and training near to mostly naked. " Yara said. "You lose any fuss about it when you're doing so for so long…and are forced to do it."

"And were the scars to train you too?" Naruto asked as she walked to the coffee pot.

"Training? More like abuse." Yara snorted. "Coffee?"

"Sure." Naruto said as he noticed the small scars on her back.

That's where he noticed a tattoo, one that was clearly new. On her upper back, a pair of tribal butterflies using one of the scars as a perch.

"You had ink done?" Naruto remarked as he was given a cup.

"I wanted to get one to blend in and something to honor my fallen brother and sister." Yara remarked. "Plus, less likely to get the attention of the cult. Tattoos and such are forbidden."

"Well, it's very nice." He said as he sipped his coffee.

She tossed her towel on top of her chair before going into her bedroom to get dressed. Yara could see Naruto had given her a few glances. She had been taught to read people…and she could tell Naruto was eyeing.

"Hmm…I could commit the 'ultimate-Well, it's not taboo anymore if I'm not a Seraphite. This provides opportunity." She thought.

She came out in a white 24/7 racerback under an open black track jacket, a pair of black and white track pants, a pair of cuffed gloves, a coat of black lipstick, and a pair of green hi-top sneakers.

"We have to meet up with Isarbi, so I'll be picking up food on the way. Hopefully, there's something open at five thirty in the morning." Naruto said dryly. "Some days I want to sleep in."

"That's on my list. I made a list of things I've wanted to experience and do. We were forced to get up early all the time." Yara said in a deadpan tone. "Training and prayers…wasting time praying to a god the elders had long distorted and perverted."

He put the cup in the sink as Yara got her weapons in order before getting a black Heat backpack on her back and a gray LS fitted cap on her head. The two left the apartment. Naruto had driven Yara on his Hexer over to Isaribi's apartment, after having picked up some breakfast burritos and coffees on the way. Naruto knocked on the door before finding himself able to open the door.

Isaribi let out a yawn, clad in a lavender oversized nightshirt. She simply took the burrito and started eating as she turned on the radio to Channel X.

"So Isaribi, what are you planning this time?" Naruto asked as Isaribi downed the coffee in two gulps.

"My old friend, Niko, is in town with his cousin setting up a taxi business. I used to work for his cousin as a cab driver, perfect cover and helped me to learn more about the city." Isaribi remarked. "Plus, flexible schedule."

"Sounds good to me." Naruto said as Yara agreed.

"Considering we're an 'organization' now, we need a name, Naruto." Isaribi said as Naruto began eating his burrito.

Naruto thought of it and chuckled.

"Tidal Fox." Naruto remarked with a foxy grin.

"Works for me." Isaribi said, finishing off her food.

"I'm going to take a shower and get ready. Do me a favor, and turn on the TV." Isaribi said leaving for her bedroom.

Naruto plopped on her couch and turned it on. The news was droning on before turning to the Underbelly of Paradise which was covering a Korean gang, the Kkangpae. Yara plopped right next to him to watch as the host, Steve Haines, ragged on about the rival between their Northern counterparts in Liberty City.

"That guy doing all the talking sounds full of himself like the leaders back at the Seraphites." Yara remarked.

"You can find blowhards everywhere." Naruto said.

In a few moments, Isaribi came out decked out a white LC Penetrators jersey under a black flight jacket, silver cargo pants, green hi-tops, her Datejust watch, her fingerless gloves, a pair of stud earrings, and a pair of silver aviator shades. She had on a bit of black eyeshadow and lipstick. She brushed aside her hair.

"Anything of note on TV?" Isaribi asked.

"Some Korean gang. You ever dealt with Koreans?" Naruto asked.

"North Koreans. Twice. Would not recommend." Isaribi said. "I called Niko. We're meeting him at the Richman Hotel."

"Anything I should know about him?" Naruto asked as the three left Isaribi's apartment.

"He's skilled and he's a serious one when he's on task. A bit of a loner, but he's sociable when he's ready. He's also a major snarker." Isaribi said as they got down to the garage.

She got a slick silver Pegassi Bati 801 before wordlessly getting on a silver helmet from out of nowhere on her head.

"Damn girl, where'd you get the bike?" Naruto said.

"From my days in Liberty, it was a gift from a dear friend for helping him out with a job. I'm actually surprised it was in my garage. But with Johnny sniffing around, this bike is perfect to use." Isaribi said as the garage door opened for her to leave.

Naruto and Yara would follow on his Hexer to the hotel. It was a massive one with tons of space, a massive pool, and a tennis court (to which the System told both him and Isaribi they could play tennis on). They pulled near the front where Niko was, dressed more fancily in his Perseus obsidian suit, black wingtips, and a pair of navy aviators.

"Niko, welcome to Los Santos." Isaribi said, taking off her helmet. "How do you find the west coast?"

"I take back nearly everything bad I said about the East Coast." Niko said with a dry sigh.

"Let me introduce my partner, Naruto." Isaribi remarked as Naruto shook his hand. "We make up Tidal Fox…our organization. We even have our first member in Lillian here."

"So you're moving up in the world…"

"NB, there you are. I swear you're always getting up so ear-Isaribi!"

Like Niko, Roman was in a suit though his was ash colored with addition of a silk shirt lacking a tie.

"Rome. Good to see you in my new neck of the woods." Isaribi said.

"I called for you to arrive early for us to look over the property. Clear things out." Niko said as Isaribi noticed a wedding band on his finger. "Wait?"

"Hold up? You got married? What the hell?" Isaribi said as Niko noticed he did not take off the ring.

"It's actually a bit of a funny story, you wouldn't believe who-"

"Was it Carmen? Because if you managed to tame that ho-bag, I'll giv-"

"No. She's a porn star now." Niko said.

"The lawyer chick?" Isaribi asked.

"It was one date…and no, I got her together with Dwayne Forge. They've been married for a few years now." Niko remarked. "I…"

"оче! Ујак!"

Up came a young child with a mop of dark brown hair with some blonde strands. He wore one of Niko's Spyde track tops which was too big for him, blue pants, and black hi-top sneakers. Unlike Niko's hardened hazel eyes, the kid's eyes were a softer shade of hazel.

"Niko, that kid looks about six or seven, meaning you have some explaining to do!" Isaribi said, looking at Niko.

Roman was snickering as Niko glared at his cousin. The clacking of a familiar pair of heels got their attention.

"There you are. Mallorie wanted to let you know that Brian and his wife are going to be late. Hangovers."

Isaribi balked. The woman was an all-American blonde with green eyes standing about as tall as Niko. Her blonde hair was long with bangs framing her face with a low ponytail. She wore a cream off-the-shoulder dress, dark stockings, a pair of black heels, red lipstick, and a Peresus cream colored purse.

"Alex?" Isaribi asked. "Alexandra Chilton? Is that really you?"

"Oh my gosh, Isaribi! I haven't seen you in years." Alexandra said, hugging her. "I bet you're wondering how and why?"

"Yes, I am. You just stopped showing up to the Maisonette, and Niko just said you left town to get away for a bit." Isaribi remarked. "But…we're burning daylight. You can explain when we get there."

Mallorie came out with little Kate and she noticed that Mallorie barely aged herself. Still dressed in her same fashion, just in different colors with a wedding. Kate carried a lot of her mother's features with light tracings of her father. Funnily enough, she was also wearing one of Niko's old Spyde track tops only with a pair of jeans and low-tops.

"I see you meet Vedran." Mallorie said hugging Isaribi.

"Clear and cheerful…fitting. But let me introduce my partner…."

"You could just call him your boyfriend…" Mallorie teased.

"I'll explain why I'm not later. Where are we going to?" Isaribi asked.

"7 Del Perro Beach. That's going to be the building site for Express Car Service West. Brian and his wife were sent ahead to secure a few things." Mallorie said as the Bellics got to their rental cars. "I'll meet you there."

Everyone had taken off to the location. The building was a functional ground floor property that looked like a fixer-upper.

"Yara, mind keep a watch out just in case of anything?" Isaribi asked as Yara nodded.

Yara stood guard armed and ready as the group went inside. The setup had made Isaribi a bit nostalgic for old times though the furnishings were far more modern with a bit of that West Coast flair.

"Holy shit, Niko. You said you made the orders…I didn't think it'd be all set already." Roman said as Niko gave a nod to Isaribi who nodded. "Well I'm not complaining."

On the wall was a sprayed painted graffiti style mural of Los Santos. Posters of various bands and event adorned the walls. Vending machines, coffee machines, seating space, and a flat-screen television was on the wall. The speakers on the wall were playing light jazz.

"Garage should be set up for the cabs. I did hire a mechanic…Stevie recommended one. But where's Brian?" Niko said as Isaribi's phone buzzed.

"Yo, you expecting someone? Yara says there's two people outside in a Sentinel." Isaribi asked.

"Brian, most likely." Niko said, looking out of the window. "Yeah, it's them."

Isaribi texted Yara that they were friendly and not to engage. Niko had texted Brian not to worry about Yara. Brian entered and Isaribi was grateful to see he looked far better than before like he was never addicted.

"Isaribi! Good to see you again." Brian said as Isaribi looked relieved. "I took your advice…and I'm better for it. Getting out of LC for a bit did wonders for my health. I want you to meet my wife, Aiko."

In walked a Japanese woman at about five foot four being rather slender with curvy hips and fairly large breasts. She had gray eyes with raven which extended to her shoulders. She wore a red sleeveless turtleneck top, a white miniskirt with a circular belt, red heels, and circular glasses.

They were certainly impressed.

"You said you met her in therapy? What was she in for?" Isaribi asked.

"Gambling addiction." Aiko said.

"Figures." Niko remarked.

"Well the place is mostly set up…the cabs were delivered. I just need the computer system set up and one minor problem dealt with." Brian said. "The place used to be the hangout of some street thugs. They're pretty mad about being displaced…and made a threat."

"Any gang colors? Green, purple, yellow, turquoise, blue?" Isaribi asked. "Descriptions would help."

"They were Korean. Some of them wore blue." Aiko said, speaking up.

"Shit. Kkangpae. South Koreans. Only good thing is they're a bunch of scattered groups with no dedicated leader." Isaribi said as her, Naruto, and Roman's radar was going off. "And we've got company."

"Roman, keep everyone inside." Niko said as his eyes hardened. "Naruto. Isaribi. Let's go to work."

"Be careful, Niko." Alexandra said concerned.

The three left the depot to see Yara hidden with a Micro-SMG in hand as several blue Cavalcades were being led by someone in a blue Pfister Comet. They pulled up as the Korean in the Comet got out.

"Can we help you?" Niko asked.

"Yeah, you can help us. By handing over the building to the Cobalt Sharkfins." The supposed leader said not even removing his sunglasses. "I had my guys tails your buddies, you're surround-"

[Cues: DOOM (2016) OST - Rip and Tear (Bass Boosted) ]

BLAM! Gunshots got everyone's attention from the other side as Yara deftly raced about fighting Koreans with an automatic pistol and a combat knife. She dodged one guy's swipe before sinking her knife in the back of his throat, and using him as a human shield for gunshots. She snatched the dead guy's Micro-SMG to spray several gangbangers before kicking the dead guy off of her into a few of them. Putting the knife away in its sheath, she unveiled a Molotov.

"What the hell are you guys waiting for? Kil-"

SLING!

Isaribi took off the man's head with her katana with a circular swing.

"Look at that, you can bring a sword to a gunfight." Isaribi said.

"You can't be serious." Niko said getting out his Carbine Rifle.

"Anything's possible. Now let's rock." Naruto said dashing ahead with his SMG firing at them.

The Koreans fought back with bullets flying all over. Isaribi dodged a swipe of a Korean's baseball bat before slashing the mook across the chest before kicking him into another mook allowing Naruto to blow their heads off with his shotgun. To Isaribi, Niko never lost his touch in being a dealer in death as he massacred most of the Koreans with bullets shredding them down to the last few guys who were trying to make a break for it in a Cavalcade.

Naruto swapped to his sniper rifle, lined the shot, and fired. The bullet broke through the window and went through the back of the head of the driver. The dead body slumped allowing Niko to get the other three with his SMG.

"We clear?" Yara asked before calming down.

"Yeah." The three of them said. "We're clear."

[Music Ends]

"Damn, Isaribi was not joking about you. You're a one-man-army." Naruto said as Niko put the gun away.

"I try." Niko said as Yara got to the van the Koreans' brought. "You find anything?"

"Guns and ammo." Yara said before picking up some of the fallen cash for herself.

"We'll take it all…and put the bodies in there to get rid of them." Isaribi remarked.

"At least I saved some money on Cavalcades." Niko joked. "Let's clear this up."

The fallen cash was picked up and divided among Naruto, Yara, and Isaribi as Niko cited they should have left the group with three grand each. As for the weapons in the van, Naruto helped himself to a Heavy Revolver, a Rocket Launcher, and ammo for the guns he already had. Isaribi took up a Sawed-Off Shotgun thinking back to old times as Yara upped to a pair of SMGs. Isaribi snatched up a Rocket Launcher as well before they loaded the dead into the van.

"I'll handle disposing of it." Isaribi said getting in the van. "I'll call a cab to get me back."

Isaribi drove away as Yara eyed the Comet as Niko picked up the keys.

"Hope you don't mind me taking it." Niko remarked.

"It's fine…an SUV would be more useful." Yara said, taking up the keys for one. "I'll go get it resprayed."

Yara got in a Cavalcade before driving off in one leaving Naruto and Niko alone to which the two went into the depot.

"It's over. We won't be bothered. Here, Brian." Niko said, tossing him the keys to the Comet. "Keys to a Comet. I suggest getting it resprayed soon."

Roman looked outside to see a bunch of slightly damaged Cavalcades and chuckled. Roman asked if the mechanic could find them and Niko nodded.

"I guess we can thank them for saving us some money." Roman said as everyone snickered.

With help from the group, the mechanic worked on those SUVs and respray Brian's Comet as Isaribi and Yara returned to depot.

"So we good?" Isaribi asked. "I still have my taxi license?"

"Yeah, you're good. In fact, you already saved us the trouble of having to order SUVs for the depot and we'll be able to open sooner. Niko agreed, and I figured I'd pay for you for the dozen you got for us." Roman said, handing the three each an envelope.

They found 140,000 grand for them each, a pretty good payday for the three. Yara headed home.

"We may have work for you to do, we'll call." Roman remarked as Naruto and Isaribi took their leave.

"Naruto, this cash is just what we need to start our organization off properly. We can start making moves…" Isaribi mused as they got on their bikes.

"That's a part of that financing in felony stuff." Naruto said as they were riding through the streets. "Wait, don't we need to get an office for that?"

"The System cited as long as we can pay the daily fees, we're good." Isaribi said. "I was doing my homework on this. We have enough that we can buy the cheapest warehouse. It's on Rancho…"

"How much?" Naruto asked.

"It's a quarter mil. So I'll need half from you later so we can get it, we can pay for it from the house in the hills. We need to call Lester for Heist Prep. Race you there!" Isaribi said speeding on ahead.

[Los Santos]

Yugito Nii would have been concerned that hearing the Cobalt Sharkfins were taken out of the game. All the information she got was that one of their bodies was found. However, it did save her the trouble as the Sharkfins were on Akahoshi's shit list. All she had to do was lie she was behind it.

"Good job, Officer Nii." Akahoshi said in a rather kind tone. "You got rid of some street trash that was a major pest. With them out of the way, we're going to have a much better working relationship with the Palang Myeondogi a lot easier."

The G.N.D were all cheering for Yugito as in the precinct there were giving up drinks of champagne to celebrate this increase in success. Moreso, the money that all lined their bank accounts. Yotoka cleared his throat to get their attention.

"There is something you need to do. There's a Kurama that needs to be delivered to them at the parking garage so they can guard it." Officer Yotoka remarked.

Yugito nodded, not asking if there was anything in the car to give a reason for suspicion. She had a job to do.

(A/N: Yes, I did twist the rules a bit for the Organizations, I personally think having to get an office first before a warehouse is a bit of a money trap. I'll be making a few tweaks to the System overall. But I feel I should introduce the Soviet Connection Update. With this, this brings some new missions, new stores, and some nostalgia for GTA IV. Also wanted to make the missions feel connected, thus…Yugito is unintentionally playing a role in the background.)
