Chapter 14: Readying for Rides and Robberies

[Fleeca Job - Scope Out]

Naruto and Isaribi were glad to be back in Los Santos after the 'stakeout' Lester had Naruto driven them out to. Naruto chuckled to himself, given that at least he did not have to deal with hacking practice. Although, Isaribi did not complain…given she had to learn this kind of stuff. The group had arrived in Lester's Asea back at the garment factory.

"Ok, there's Paige. We're leaving this car, and taking the truck." Lester said as Naruto pulled to a stop.

Paige was a woman who was a mix of tomboy and goth, and to Naruto…it reminded him of Isaribi. Only Paige was all black in her hair, clothes, makeup, and tattoos.

"I need to get some ink." Naruto and Isaribi thought as they got in the black Declasse Granger with her and Lester.

"Back to your place." Lester said as Isaribi nodded as she took the wheel.

As she drove, Lester turned to Paige.

"Is it all there?" Lester said.

"I don't know, you want to get your ass to go down the inventory or do you want to keep making a nice imprint on your easy wipe seat?" Paige snarked.

"I'll take your word for it." Lester said with an eyeroll.

"Thank you." Paige said. "The guns, masks, holdalls, headsets, and the drill are all there. Enough to be suspicious and enough for a charge."

"I'd say cops arresting us for thought crime is dumb shit, but…I'd believe you." Naruto said dryly.

"You should see the cops in the countryside." Lester snarked. "But these two aren't going to get caught, they're professionals."

"The cheapest professionals-"

Isaribi cleared her throat, interrupting Paige.

"Look, I don't normally speak up during these car rides, but I want to remind you that I ran with major players in Liberty City several years back. Even then, I've done enough to not be dissuaded as just some two-bit criminal." Isaribi said icily as she was gripping the steering wheel.

"Paige, to be honest, this is more a 'test' for her partner than her. Isaribi's got experience, ironically not in pulling heists." Lester joked. "She apparently missed out on the biggest heist in LC."

"Man, don't remind me. I'm still salty about it." Isaribi said as she rolled the car into her house's garage. "And we're here."

"To the heist room!" Lester said dramatically, getting a few snorts.

The group headed down to the heist room bringing the supplies down. Paige had set up the board as Lester was running Naruto and Isaribi through some advice. Naruto was taking it all in, eager to prove himself and move up.

"Ok, the board is set up and the plan is set. All you need to do is steal the car from those Koreans. The Palang Myeondogi. Fuckers managed to bribe the G.N.D. to secure them a Kurama. By now, the police should have delivered it…so once you acquire it. Call me, and we can talk bank jobs." Lester said before leaving with Paige.

"Sweet, so we're good to go." Naruto said as his phone rang. "It's…Fu."

He answered.

"Hey, Fu. What's up?" Naruto asked.

"I got a friend who's sorta new to the city. The cab she was in got into a bit of an accident. Some damn Korean cut her driver off." Fu explained. "Could you get her over to my place?"

Naruto was given a prompt to accept or not. Eager to see where this went…as he accepted.

[Random Event - Hitch Lift]

"Alright, what she look like?" Naruto asked.

"She's Latina. A nerdy one with big glasses, freckles, and wide eyes. Bit on the short side, and she's legal." Fu mused.

"Do I even want to ask how you met her?" Naruto asked.

"I know her from Friction. You know, the chat service mostly for gamers. I'll explain later, just go get her. She's at the Sisyphus Theater on Baytree Canyon Road." Fu said before hanging up.

"Well, I-"

"Before you go, let's just get the warehouse purchased first, so I'll need your half of the money for me to get it." Isaribi remarked. "125 grand."

Naruto handed it over as Isabribi bought the small Rancho warehouse from her laptop. Tidal Fox now had its first piece of property.

"I'm going to head down there to take a look at the place." Isaribi said as they left the heist room. "After I relax with a bubble bath and break in that new tub. I think I deserve some pampering."

"You have fun then." Naruto said leaving the house.

The house was a bit close to the road…and a driver wound up hitting Naruto sending him tumbling onto the ground. He hissed in both annoyance and pain as he triggered his ability to heal while forcing himself up.

"Hey, asshole. Get the hell out of the road, I got a manager to sue."

She honked the horn before screaming she'd blow his head off if he did not get out of the road. Naruto got up before storming up to the rather nice silver Pegassi Reaper that the woman drove and forced her out of the car before blowing her face off with his Sawed-Off Shotgun. The blood splatter and the body hit the ground as Naruto took the twenty grand on her person before getting in the car.

"At least this Karen had a nice car." Naruto said grumbled before throwing a pipe bomb on top of the body before driving away. "Good riddance."

He drove off as the bomb exploded with Isaribi blissfully unaware as she soaked in her bathtub. At least he got a free pistol and a pair of black aviators.

She supposed she was a fish out of water. Maribel Madrigal had not exactly spent too much time in the urban jungle that was Los Santos and was slowly regretting not planning this out better. She just wanted to get away from her family and their sphere of influence. She seemed to be among the few who knew her grandmother was not the saint she appeared to be.

Her grandmother being a pillar of the community in the countryside town of Harmony was a half-truth. She did not exactly hate Alma, but her push for loyalty was suffocating which eventually led to what she wanted out of the sphere of influence to make a life for herself. Alma had not exactly supported her choice in what to pursue for a career.

It…was not off to a good start given someone caused her cab driver to crash his taxi. Now she was alone a distance away waiting for her friend to send someone to pick her up. She sat on a bench near the theater looking at her phone.

"No messages from home…they haven't found my letter." She thought.

Maribel had long struggled with the decision to depart from her family, with the fact she often felt like the 'unnecessary wheel' of the Madrigal Family, she tried her best to provide the happiness to her family, until a certain altercation happened on her youngest cousin Antonio's birthday, ended in a heated discussion between her and her grandmother.

It only was then that a few days after she took the decision to leave, with an forced smile she put up, she left the family she loved, her dear mother and father who were always there for her, Luisa, Antonio, the young children she would help - she left to pursue her passion: to become a preschool teacher.

She looked up to see a car pull up, a fancy silver Reaper pulled up. Out came Naruto, and she squeaked. There was this guy who easily towered over her five-foot two frame. He looked down at all, slowly looking her over under his dark shades.

She had curly chin-length black hair, thick eyebrows, hazel eyes, and visibly dark shade of freckles on her nose and cheeks. Exactly as Fu had said and Naruto had to admit there was an appeal.

"Is he checking me out?" She thought to herself.

She certainly stood out with her outfit. A white blouse that has colorful butterfly stitching, with frills of black trimming at the neck and sleeves. She wears a long teal skirt with colorful butterfly embroidery, sandals with pink linking and black ribbons around her ankles, blue pom-pom earrings, and lime green glasses.

"You're the one. The one Fu befriended." Naruto said, taking off the glasses to look her in the eyes. "I'm Naruto, she sent me to pick you up. You should be getting a call from her…now."

*Tring!*

Maribel's phone rang as she picked up.

"Hey girl, he should be by you. He's a hunky blonde…" Fu said as Mirabel got herself to stop gawking as Naruto went on to grab her luggage and take it into the backseat of the car, being a gentleman.

"Yeah, he's here." Mirabel said sheepishly. "I'll see you at the apartment."

She hung up as they got in the car. Naruto sped away turning on the radio to Radio Los Santos right as the next song was coming on.

"So, what brings you to LS? Everyone seems to be coming here one after another like me." Naruto joked.

Chuckling at his joke, she then proceeded to respond, "Family problems, plus I need to move into the city to start attending college."

"I can relate." Naruto said.

"You got a crappy grandparent too?" Mirabel remarked.

"No. More like our family has been disrespected by others in the district. It's all that clan bullshit you'd see in old movies in Japan. But shot in the dark, your grandparent is a Karen…or Kevin." Naruto said as he made a turn further into Vinewood Hills.

"Far from being harmless or entitled. She's basically a mob boss." Mirabel said as Naruto's eyes hardened a bit.

"So, now we got the Colombian mafia here too?" Naruto asked as Mirabel realized what she was saying.

"Not like that. She's retired…it's supposed to be behind her." Mirabel said, not really bothering to hide it. "Back then, she used to be some kind of huge drug lord I believe. Back in the 70s and 80s. During the rough times back in the Old Country."

Naruto, not looking like the person who knew much, precisely could tell what the Colombian woman was talking about - during the time in Colombia where drug lords - Leftists Guerrillas - Right-Wing Death Squads and bandits caused havoc and terror across the country.

Kidnappings - car bombings - cop killings - bribery - massive corruption - forced disappearances - armed insurrection - and on top of it all, the country's immense power of Cocaine traffickers who held large control of the US' drug routes that fed the white powder to the country.

God made our land so beautiful it was unfair to the rest of the world. So to even the score, God populated the land with a race of evil men - a saying that well stuck to Colombia.

"If Isaribi was here, she'd be going down on some kind of lore or some shit." Naruto responded simply.

They arrived at the apartment building where Fu was waiting for them.

"Welcome to Los Santos!" Fu said, blowing an air horn for a second. "Naruto, this is Maribel Madrigal. And Naruto, could you carry her bags up to my apartment? There's 50 in it for you and I got a smoothie for you."

"Ok."

[Random Event - Complete]

After getting that fifty bucks and carrying her bags up to her apartment, Naruto was up in Fu's apartment having that smoothie. He enjoyed hanging around at the apartment as the day was fading with the sun beginning to set.

"Thanks for hosting me, Fu." Maribel said, taking a seat at the table. "I really appreciate you helping me out."

"No problem. What are fellow gamers for…" Fu remarked with a genuine smile. "After all those hours of fun time, it's the least I could do."

"So how did you meet?" Naruto asked.

"Like I said, we met on Friction. I'm in a group there. She and I play Simplicity 4 as a part of a server. We ended up talking and it went from there to other games. Turns out we lived in the same state…though this is our first actual physical meeting." Fu remarked. "So thanks for that. But Maribel, you do have a plan?"

"Yeah, to go to college. But there's one problem…" Mirabel gave a half smile before looking slightly down in shame. "I….don't have, how do I say…."

"The money. And tuition on average…" Fu pretty much guessed with a sigh and asked. "How much?"

"25,000." Mirabel said sheepishly. "I couldn't ask my family for it…"

"Don't worry about it. The second summer session is quite a while…you'll have time to earn some money." Fu remarked before jokingly saying. "There are plenty of things to do. The Vanilla Unicorn isn't too far away. You shake your ass there and you'll be showered with tips."

Mirabel blushed red glaring at Fu.

"Fu, we both know I don't even have the body for that. Plus, I'm way too short. I-" Mirabel said before Fu cut her off.

"You really need to stop comparing yourself to your sisters. Insecurity isn't exactly something you want to have, and you'll be able to work on it now that you're here away from them. This is Los Santos, you can change your identity." Fu said standing up and walking around the table and reaching for her Colombian friend's hair. "For example, cut your hair, dye it, redo your look…just take in all in that you have your freedom."

"When you put it like that…" Mirabel said before being cut off by Naruto's phone.

Naruto answered it to hear Isaribi tell him that she was ready to go out and do that job.

"Well, ladies. That was Isaribi, I got a job to deal with." Naruto said getting up.

"Job, you say? Need extra hands for it because I could use the cash myself. College is a drain on the resources, and any cash is good cash." Fu remarked. "So what we doing?"

"You can't be serious." Mirabel said to her.

Naruto thought about it and texted Isaribi before getting one back.

"Well you're in luck. Yara's sitting this out…apparently just got piercings at the tattoo place." Naruto said before turning to Fu. "But are you sure you're down with this?"

Fu went under her couch and pulled out a Gusenberg Sweeper from under it to Mirabel's shock and Naruto's amusement.

"Of course, I am." Fu said with a dark chuckle. "Besides, I have a feeling this'll pay more than the small stuff I have to do for the Families."

Mirabel took a deep breath.

"Who are you guys going to be messing with?" She asked.

"Korean gang. Palang Myeondogi." Naruto said off-handedly which got Mirabel's eyes to widen.

"You know what? You just made it easier for me to join in on this. I can get rid of some thugs and put some egg on my grandmother's face." Mirabel said before explaining. "That group does grunt work for my grandmother's operations. Minor stuff like carrying packages. I usually had to do the talking with their leader…and the world will be a better place when he's gone."

Mirabel thought about it and a grin formed on her face. The kind her grandmother had when she had someone cornered. What Alma had realized was by giving Mirabel a chunk of the grunt work, Mirabel grew to understand the underground…and knew far more about Alma's dealings than her family realized.

"Here's a tip for you. That group is supposed to be guarding a Kurama…my grandmother uses those to transport cash hidden under a custom compartment along with a tracker." Mirabel said before revealing a copy of a key. "Here. All I ask is enough for me to pay my tuition."

"You don't want any of the other cash?" Fu asked.

"Nope. As far as I'm concerned, I didn't have anything to do with it. I didn't tell you anything. I was here in the apartment playing video games." Mirabel said with a wink as she left the key on the table.

"Look at you, already building your catharsis." Fu said with a chuckle as Naruto took the key.

"Naruto, let me go change and we can go."

Mirabel simply went to the couch to get her laptop out of her bag to start it up to break some time while her roommate was preparing herself in the bathroom, leaving her alone for the moment with the blonde.

Mirabel was readying to play when her phone rang with a more distinct ringtone.

"Looks like they found my note." Mirabel said, picking up the phone. "I'll call them back later…"

She rejected the call before putting on her headset. Fu came out of the bathroom now clad in a green hoodie, urban camo pants, hiking boots, fingerless gloves, and a green bandana around her right shoulder.

"Let's go." Fu said, picking her black Heat backpack.

As the two left, Mirabel got a voice chat call from Luisa to which she answered.

"Mirabel, you got some serious ovaries to get up and leave like that. Ablueta thinks you'll come back the next day." Luisa said. "But you planned for this?"

"Somewhat." Mirabel admitted. "But I am fine. I'm staying with a friend."

"Mami and Papi freaked out when you up and left. But the look on Ablueta's face when she read the letter was priceless." Luisa said with a laugh. "Didn't help she made the mistake of reading it out loud. Now the whole family wants to know what Abuleta said to you to get you to decide to leave."

"Good." Mirabel said darkly, chuckling. "I love Ablueta, I really do, but she shouldn't have talked down my dream."

"You know, between you and me, I know Abuleta doesn't exactly think too highly of you, but you've always been the brains between the three of us. And I think Abuleta is going to realize that…very soon." Luisa said. "Look, I do have a connection in LS that can get you some work. Sacha Yetarian. If you don't mind working repo…then he can hook you up to his uncle."

"Beggars can't be choosers." Mirabel remarked. "Send me the number."

"I gotta go. Dinner with the family is going to be awkward…" Luisa said before hanging up.

Isaribi checked herself in the mirror. She wore a gray long sleeve shirt under a gray and white Yeti varsity jacket, a pair of black skinny jeans, a pair of gray round-toe boots, her fingerless gloves, and her old Russian army cap.

"Yo." Naruto said, entering the house. "I got your text. I got a disposable car."

"To the heist room then. Let's start this mission." Isaribi said as they went downstairs. "So how did the thing with Fu go?"

"Long story short, her friend is a Colombian whose grandmother has pretty dirty hands. You familiar with the Madrigals?" Naruto said as Isaribi was surprised.

"Shit. Of all the families, they were the ones that bit off more than they chew at least in their home country. In America, they made pretty strong connections in the past, but most of it was dissolved. I do know Alma is active, just not in the drug game. I heard she's a major bitch to work for. And considering who we have worked for…that's saying something."

The two entered the heist room and started the missions after selecting the task from the board.

[Fleeca Job - Kurama]

They were prompted by the System to take a headset and a mask from the supplies. Once they had their mask (and had a mask for Fu), they quickly exited the house to get in the Asterope. To which they gave Fu her mask…a simple black and white striped balaclava.

"Fu, we're going to need you to take over driving this car once we get the Kurama." Naruto said before he and Isaribi activated their LED headsets to contact Lester.

"Ok, you should be able to hear me now. I'll be here to talk you through these jobs." Lester said as Naruto was speeding through the streets. "Ok, we're dealing with a car. You're heading to Del Perro. As you're aware, it's being used by a Korean stickup crew for jobs. I'd expect them to be armed and paranoid. There's two ways, you two handle this. Direct attack from the North or sneaking up on them in the South. As long as it's done. And make sure you wear masks for this. Call in when you get the car."

"Ok. How we doing this?" Isaribi asked. "Direct or we're sneaking on them?"

"I want to say direct, but it would be wiser to sneak up on them." Naruto remarked. "The first shots are key."

"Good. Fu, I hope you're strapped." Isaribi said as Fu showed her tommy gun. "A fan of the classics. I can relate."

"There's something else I need to tell you, Isa." Naruto spoke out before explaining about the hidden cash in the car.

"Shit. I'll buy Maribel a fucking drink if this works out." Isaribi said eagerly. "We're here."

Naruto slowly drives the car up the third floor before stopping. The three all put on their masks.

"Fu, be ready to make your escape to follow us. Once we're far enough, we'll deal with the money and you can go on ahead home." Naruto explained as Fu nodded.

The three got out of the car and stuck up the south side of the building to see it was just four armed guys around the guy.

"You think this plan is going to work?" The first one said.

"Yeah, the G.N.D. are on their way to pick up the car in a few hours, and the boss is on his way with the tools to open that hidden compartment. We make it look like we fought them…and the boss is planning to pin the blame on them to Alma. While those two are beefing, we all split town with the money." The second one said,

Before anyone else could speak, Fu opened fire with her Gusenberg Sweeper getting two headshots.

"What the-ACK!"

Another headshot made from Naruto's Pistol .50 and the last guy went down to Isaribi's Machine Pistol.

"You can have the money on them." Naruto remarked as he and Isaribi moved to the car. "Remember, we're meeting at Innocence Boulevard."

Then Fu saw it, a Dominator that was in the same shade of blue with a black stripe. She looked down at the fallen bangers and saw the keys for it. She promptly took it, the money, and got in the car.

"Shit, we got company on the way up!" Isaribi said.

"Leave it to me!" Fu said driving ahead as Isaribi called in.

"Ok, you got in the car. Drop any cops or gangsters and bring that car to the garment factory. Try not to damage the car, though you'll be hard pressed given it's bulletproof. Lester out." Lester said before hanging up again.

Fu always wanted to use her tommy gun on a drive-by and was putting bullets in the cars full of the Koreans before throwing a Molotov at the car she had come in making an explosion that began a chain reaction.

"She's crazy!" Isaribi said as drove the Kurama past the burning wrecks.

Out on the road, Fu took to following Isaribi. Isaribi was surprised that she and Naruto got no wanted stars, but decided not to question it.

As they fled, Akahoshi arrived at the shitshow to his unit seeing a few Koreans injured. He walked up to one before grabbing him by the collar.

"What happened?" Akahoshi asked.

"Thieves came and jacked the car. They got the drop on us, we did not see it coming." The Korean said weakly before Akahoshi tossed him to the ground.

"Descriptions?" Akahoshi said, putting his pistol to the poor mook's head.

"Probably two. I couldn't tell the gender in the dark…they didn't speak. They wore black and white masks." The mook wheezed out.

And with no cameras, that description was practically useless. Akahoshi calmed down after thinking about it. As far as everyone knew, the police had nothing to do with the threat and Alma would be focused on going after whoever had stolen the car. Akahoshi called for the squad to get started cleaning it up as Yugito had left for her VCPD Cheetah.

"Oi, Akahoshi. I'll go pick up some donuts and shit. You want anything?" Yugito asked, getting in her car.

"Chocolate donut…" Akahoshi said as she drove away.

[Music Ends]

She had intended to get the donuts, but she had a meet up to get to. She arrived at the underside of the Del Perro Pier where two other guys waited. Erin's sedan and a customized dark blue Karin Sultan RS.

"What happened?" Erin asked as a Korean man sat on the hood of his car.

"Shit went wild. Someone stole the car…" Yugito said before glaring at the Korean. "How do we know y-"

"If I did plan that, I wouldn't have shot my own guys." He remarked. "Besides, it all worked out. G.N.D don't have it…and Alma's going to think the cops destroyed it to insult her. After all, they're covering it up. But a deal's a deal."

"Mr. Eun Hak. As a part of our agreement for the information on Akahoshi and the G.N.D…here's your money." Erin said, handing Eun a briefcase. "Don't forget even with your record being cleaned, you still need to be out of LS come next day."

"Why even do this? Why backstab your friends?" Yugito asked seriously.

"Because I have a kid on the way. I always wanted to step down…you two just made your offer more profitable to me." He said getting in his car. "I'm out."

He left as Erin sighed.

"The information was worth paying him. A gang falls apart and we have more to build our case against the G.N.D. We're much closer to taking them down." Erin said before leaving for her car. "I'll be in touch."

Yugito took a deep breath before getting back on the grind.

The night seemed all the more brighter from Caesar's Auto Parking as Naruto, Isaribi, and Fu were hiding out in the parking garage. Their masks off, they were focusing on the bonus they got. Naruto opened the compartment and opened it.

"Dear Diary. Jackpot!" Fu said.

One million and one hundred fifty dollars. It was the most money Naruto had ever seen. Naruto took up about 25 grand citing it was for Maribel's tuition before Fu got her cut of 125 grand.

"And what are you going to do with all that money?" Fu asked, pocketing her cut.

"Invest it for our organization. It's time Tidal Fox got a proper office." Isaribi remarked.

"Speaking of them, if you're looking for crewmates for your organization. I want in. I got my loyalty to the Families, but I could use more higher-paying work. The white-collar stuff."

"Naruto, you trust her to join?" Isaribi asked.

"I do." Naruto said as Isaribi smirked.

"Welcome to Tidal Fox then. Look, we'll keep you in touch, but Naruto and I got to go in alone to deliver this car. Give me your number before you go though." Isaribi said as they exchanged numbers.

Fu took her leave in her Dominator leaving the duo alone.

"I found 500,000 grand…and I already got to spend it." Naruto bemoaned.

"It'll be worth it getting this office. Setup will allow us to properly join SecuroServ and be recognized by them as a full-fledged organization. This is our setup cash, the way in the door. This is our golden ticket!" Isaribi said with the seriousness slipping for excitability in her voice.

Naruto chuckled thinking how everyone saw him as lucky. He looked to Isaribi and decided to take the plunge. From their phones, they were up on Dynasty 8 Executive and made the purchase. The Maze Bank West office was now theirs. Their mini-maps updated as they got a prompting from the System.

Then came the text from SecuroServ.

"Congratulations on your recent purchase. Welcome to the real elite. Your Office purchase allows you to access our exclusive Special Cargo Network."

"Fancy. And there's a new menu for us to order vehicles. I guess we don't have to steal cars anymore." Naruto said with a chuckle before turning on the Kurama. "Let's get this to Lester's."

As Naruto was driving, they got prompts from the System about an assistant. They were asked if they preferred a male or female assistant. Both chose to have a female assistant and the System merely mentioned for them to go to their office to trigger the meet up.

"I love game logic." Isaribi said thoughtfully.

Rancho. A neighborhood dominated by Los Santos Vagos and the sizable Hispanic population. Rancho Projects was oddly quiet that night, not that the Delrio cousins minded. No sounds were music to their ears. Nora looked into the mirror wondering how it all went wrong. She supposedly could not blame him for exposing Brooke. That woman was a cheating parasite and had it coming…but Nora wished it did not lead to her losing her job. It led to her heading to Los Santos with her cousin and nephew who had to leave their hometown.

Nora never wanted to be back in Los Santos…well more specifically back in the poor parts of Rancho. She had wanted to be away from the Vagos. She had gone into business for herself while on Isle de la Poona and loved being her own boss. Not like the Vagos treated female gangbangers well at all compared to the other gangs. She walked out of the bathroom to take up a framed photo and sighed.

"I could have taken your offer and walked away from my past for a future with you…but I had to be stubborn and let Ashley snatch you up." She thought.

It was more so ironic to know that he had dated her cousin too. Always swinging around, never really ready to settle until recently. At the moment, Nora had a long day of seeking employment. She wanted to try to get something to not resort to the drug game, at least not in this neighborhood. The Vagos never tolerated 'independent businessmen' on their turf, let alone people who refuse to associate with them, not pay them street tax, or want to move up in the criminal world.

Betraying their heritage, they call it. She'd call it bullshit. She'd call her job hunt bullshit too. The options simply had varying levels of suck. She was NOT going to retail, as she saw it as a special level of hell. The Madrazo Cartel was a wash as well.

"Nora, your cell is ringing." Kyanna said. "I'm going outside to get some air. Could you look after Phillp for a moment."

Nora went to the living room and took up her cell phone seeing it was an unknown number. She answered it saying to the caller to piss off if this is a scam.

"Far from it, Querida."

"Mark?!" Nora said, surprised. "How?"

"I have connections to find people given my work. I now work for SecuroServ, and I realized that I owed you a favor. It's not much but it's something. You got a job?"

"No. What do you got for me?" Nora asked.

"I'm going to be blunt. It's one you may be underqualified for, but you should be able to convince your new employers to keep you around for. A pair of recent clients for the company had upped themselves to CEO status for their organization, Tidal Fox. A business on the gray side of morals. I want to offer the job of being a personal assistant to that new company."

"How much does it pay?" Nora asked. "Look I'm grateful you thought of it, but I really need to know."

"Tidal Fox is due to cover a $300 daily fee…which will lead to SS paying the rest of your salary to which is $3000 daily."

Nora did the math in her head.

"That's 21 grand a week, that's not much but a hell a lot easier to get." She thought before answering. "I'll take it."

"Excellent. By now, a package should be arriving at the door with all you to learn about the job and your duties. Even sent an outfit for you to wear when you meet your new bosses."

"Anything you can tell me off the cuff about them?" Nora asked.

"This call has been off the books. I'm pulling a favor after all. You should get a bit of information on them in the package, but it's surface stuff. What I can tell you is one new to the criminal scene, aside from ties to the Families, mostly independent and making moves with his partner, who on the other hand is far more experienced. Worked with some major players in LC years ago. I can say they might be younger than you, but they've gotten farther than you. Either way, get the package and ready yourself…because your job starts now. This is goodbye…for the time being. Take care…and tell Kyanna and Phillip that I said hello."

He hung up as Kyanna came inside with a package.

"Some guy was coming with a bo-"

"Get in and close the door!" Nora snapped as Kyanna hurriedly complied.

"Tia, what's wrong?" Phillip asked.

"Nothing, go back to bed precioso." Nora said as Phillip lumbered to bed. "Kyanna, I'll explain everything."

As Nora took the package to open it up on the table, she told her everything.

"Holy shit. Talk about a miracle worker. He drops this in your lap…but are you sure about this?" Kyanna asked as Nora took up a book from the box.

"Yes, I want out. Out of Rancho, out from the fucking Vagos, and I want to put Phillip in private school where he has a chance at a future." Nora remarked.

"But your salary isn't going to do all of that." Kyanna remarked.

"I know, but I have a plan. And I'll need your help." Nora remarked.

The car was finally delivered with Paige telling them she'll get the car ready and wished them the best.

They got a prompt asking if they wanted to start the heist, but Naruto remarked he needed to give Mirabel the money.

"Isaribi, we're doing it tonight, but I need to give Mirabel the cash first." Naruto said as he hit no.

"That's fine." Isaribi said doing the same. "At least with CEO privilege, we can make a call for vehicles."

She used her phone to get on the new application before selecting two Patriots. They were dropped for them in a matter of seconds.

"I'll meet you at the house in the hills. I need to call up Danica to ask for some weapons." Isaribi said getting in the car before driving away.

Naruto got into his car as he looked at the time. It was practically half past nine as he left for the Tathian texting Mirabel to meet him at his apartment. He looked back at the car he stole before going up the stairs. There was Mirabel, leaning on the railing.

"Mirabel, here." Naruto said, tossing her the roll. "But I know that college fees are probably going to be something you need to pay for on top of others."

"At least it'll get my foot in the door. I heard what happened from Fu. I could be of use to your organization, but I'll need time to think about it." Mirabel said before walking towards Fu's apartment. "Good night."

"Wait. There's a silver Reaper in the parking lot." Naruto said before tossing her the keys. "Take it. You need it more than me."

Naruto left her behind quickly to head out as Fu came out of her apartment.

"Yo, Mira. He get you the money?" Fu asked.

"Yeah, and keys to a car. A Reaper?" Mirabel said as Naruto drove away.

Fu and Mirabel went down to find it and they balked at it.

"Definitely jacked it from someone." Fu said quietly before excitedly saying, "Let's drive it!"

(A/N: Didn't expect Encanto of all things to join the cast, but after talking it up with AmusedLight…that changed. And yes, all these chapters have been in the months ahead of time. Huniepop was probably something you all expected to drop in here if you've read Maelstrom of Stardew or the project I did with ARandomSage in the past. Both games happened in this universe which includes the Love Fairies and the Nymphojinn. In this universe, the first game took place in 2008-2009 and the sequel took place in 2011-2012. The Huniepop MC (Mark Corwin) technically counts as a protag. Are the other characters going to show up? Maybe. Let me hear your theories on what's become of the others.)
