Chapter 15: Heat of the First Moment

[Los Santos]

Naruto came to the house to see Danica leaving the house, looking up at Naruto with a matter of interest.

"I heard of what you two are up to. You must have some luck on your side." Danica said before tossing Naruto a pistol. "If you're going in, dual wield?"

She got in her car and drove away as Naruto went inside to find Isaribi waiting in the heist room nursing a glass of wine with another on the table, clearly for him.

"You ready for this?" Naruto said, taking the glass up.

"I got you some more pipe bombs and some grenades in that box. I bought us both suits to wear for this from Peresus. By the way, it seems we can visit the shops Niko used to frequent in Liberty, a new 'Russian Shop' and Modo opened up here. I'm ready." Isaribi said before clinking glasses. "Kanpai."

"Kanpai." Naruto said before they downed their drinks.

Naruto collected the box's contents before Naruto called Lester to start this heist off.

[The Flecca Job]

Lester arrived not too long after being let in and brought down to the heist room looking excited.

"Well Isaribi, Naruto, this is it. Your first time. Won't be easy, won't be overly dramatic. I'd say it'd be awkward as your first time…but well I'd assume you two got far past this." Lester said jokingly as Naruto rolled his eyes. "But you'll remember Uncle Lester showing you the ropes. Now, your first time with Flecca."

He went to the board.

"A two man job. One of you drives, the other keeps the heat off you. That other one will be going into the bank going to the specific safety deposit box, and then you get out of there in your fast armored car. You get the hell out of there, get the heat off, and come see me with the box." Lester remarked. "Any questions?"

Naruto and Isaribi shook their beds. Then he asked who's going to be the driver and who will be the driller.

"Which one is going to be dealing with the hacking?" Naruto said sheepishly.

"That would be the driller." Lester remarked.

"Dibs on driving then." Naruto said as Isaribi rolled his eyes.

"I'll drill then." Isaribi said.

"Good luck then. Try not to celebrate with an orgy." Lester said before leaving.

With him leaving, the System flashed up with the setup options along with showing Elite Challenges.

[Elite Challenges]

Complete in under 50:20.

"Think you can drive fast?" Isaribi said.

"Can you hack and drill?" Naruto shot back playfully as they got on their heist outfits and their headsets.

Isaribi picked out for them an iron colored double breasted jacket over a black turtleneck, obsidian pants, and gray wingtips. For masks, they went pumpkin headed masks to appeal to Naruto's love of orange. The heist was on and Isaribi put on a timer.

"Think we can do those challenges?" Naruto said as they raced out of the house.

"We can try." Isaribi said as they got in the Patriot.

They were speeding through the streets before coming to Lester's factory. Naruto took to driving that armored Kurama as Isaribi immediately got to hacking the network.

"How's it looking?"

"I'm working on the hack and Naruto's getting us to the Great Ocean Highway as fast as he can. Anything you need to run us through?" Isaribi asked.

"Driver needs to take out the four cameras in the foyer and work crowd control. You need to focus on getting Box 167 and only that box. Drill it out and get out." Lester said tersely. "I'll call back when you're at the bank."

"Thanks, Yoda." Isaribi said as Lester cut his line. "Almost there. What's your status, N?"

"I'm on the highway." Naruto said pushing the car to go as fast as he can handle. "Thankfully, not much traffic."

"Ok, I got a little something to make this interesting. Voice modulators to go in our masks. There's a website called that let's you use voices from popular shows through a text to speech program. Well, I did a little work on it while you were giving Mirabel the cash to make voice modulators to go in our masks." Isaribi said as she worked the hack.

"What show did you pick?" Naruto asked.

"Actually a video game. TF2." Isaribi said as Naruto tried not to laugh. "You'll be the Spy. And I'll be the Soldier."

Naruto started laughing. After driving for a while while reining in his laughter, Naruto continued to ask a question of why.

"Because there's only one female character in TF2. And personally, I'd rather go as Soldier. Someone who sounds actually insane." Isaribi said, seeing the bank. "We're here. Pull up on the glowing marquee, and let's do this."

Naruto came to a stop on it as they got in their masks with Isaribi putting in the modulators before Lester called in for Isaribi to open the vault which she managed to do from her phone. With that out of the way, Lester reminded them before leaving them to handle it. The two got out with Isaribi having a duffel bag on her shoulder and a Combat MG in her hands while Naruto had his Carbine Rifle.

The two raced in with Naruto spying the cameras and opening fire, getting the civilians to panic and scream.

"Shut the fuck up!" Isaribi yelled.

The modulator was on and working, leaving Isaribi to deftly move to the vault to start drilling. Sure, the voice was a tiny bit robotic, but still passable.

"Don't you have better things to do than rob hardworking people?" One man said.

"I do, it's robbing some people who had it coming to them. Don't move, and you'll all go home." Naruto said. "Isn't there supposed to be security though?"

"Cowardly bastard is probably hiding in the bathroom." The teller muttered.

"Diarrhea!" The guard squealed from the bathroom.

It was awkward to listen to the sound of defecation that was very loud.

"Soldier, hurry the hell up!" Naruto said, wrinkling his nose in disgust.

"Just need to get the last pin….and got it!" Isaribi said before turning off the drill to put it away.

The safety deposit box was tucked away in her duffel bag with the drill as she moved towards the front only to get a waft of that smell.

"Oh good Lord, who shat themselves?" Isaribi asked. "Fuck it, we're out."

The alarm went off as Naruto fired several rounds into the glass as three wanted stars flashed up on their HUDs.

"You got the box? Be ready to move!" Lester said over the headset. "Head to the pickup point. I have my guy waiting near the Zancudo Bridge."

They could hear sirens and the duo got in the car before taking off.

"About the smell. The security guard had diarrhea." Naruto said as Isaribi snickered.

"Let's just get to the bridge. We're so close!" Isaribi said excitedly.

Naruto was keeping ahead of the pursuing cops while trying to dodge any traffic.

"Watch it, Spy. Bikers!" Isaribi said as Naruto swerved.

A group of Lost were nearly hit by them only to get hit by the police. Naruto was just wondering if that was going to count against them. Nearing the bridge, their headsets got a ring from a new voice.

"This is your getaway guy! Lester says you're inbound. I'm soon to be above you on the bridge."

Their objective changed to 'Drive under the Cargobob' as they looked up to see the helicopter with a big magnet on it. Cops were swarming the bridge, making a roadblock with their guns drawn. Not that mattered when the Kurama was taken up by the magnet with a loud clunk.

"And we have lift off!"

"Woo! Hell yeah!" Isaribi said.

"Eat your heart out, Lamar." Naruto said confidently as the helicopter took them away.

All over the state, the news was quick to talk about the robbery. Reactions around had varied quite a bit.

[Strawberry]

"Those fucking dicks were planning a heist!" Fu said, throwing a beer out of the window. "Without me!"

Mirabel simply rolled her eyes at Fu's antics as she was on her laptop. Mirabel smirks knowing that her grandmother was probably seeing this on television and not happy about it. She smirked at that. While her grandmother would never find out her role in that, she was going to find out how vital Mirabel was to the household. Especially with the message she had Luisa find.

[Rockford Hills]

Micheal De Santa sat on his couch watching this play out and he had to admit that he was impressed. It was clear to him from the footage, they were experienced…but rookies to working heists. Still, the driver could handle himself.

"Not bad, kids. Not bad." Micheal said as he downed his drink.

It was a nice reminder of the good old days before everything changed. His daughter was passed out drunk in her room…ironically, just like her mother.

"Hey dad…I…holy shit, did that just happen?" Jimmy asked.

"It did. Looked like a scene straight out of a movie." Micheal said, turning off the television. "Truth's stranger than fiction most of the time."

Micheal headed off to call it a night. He'd tell Jimmy to do the same, but it was not like Jimmy had work in the morning.

[Sandy Shores]

Trevor was more focused on laughing at the biker who got run over by the cops. He did notice of the robbery having a feeling of who organized it.

[Harmony]

Casa del Madrigal, home to the Familia Madrigal. Normally, most of the family was either sleeping or taking in the moonlight. Not tonight, given Alma's anger.

"So on top of my car being stolen, my money being lost…it seems Maribel has not returned." Alma said at the dinner table.

The family had been gathered for a meeting to discuss some things and television was still on. Alma had expected Mirabel to come crawling back after blowing off some steam. Alma had always seen Maribel as too 'soft' compared to her sisters. If anything, she had reminded Alma of her daughter at times.

"Is she not answering her phone?" Alma asked.

"No, she hasn't." Julieta said. "Which is a problem because-"

"I ought to cut her phone line." Alma snapped.

"I don't think you can." Luisa remarked as Alma's glare was on her. "She pays her own bill. And does more than that…she left this recording for you."

Luisa hit play on her phone.

"By the time you're hearing this, you're slowly realizing what I did for the family. Managing your finances. Your power, your water, your television, and the taxes. If I was a pettier woman with no love or loyalty, I would have you in the dark. But I didn't because I still love this family, but I need my distance. Just keep your distance…from me, and I won't do that. Oh, why don't you ask Ablueta why I've decided to leave? After all, she is the reason."

The recording ended and both parents looked at Alma. Julieta got up and drew her pistol aiming square at Alma.

"What did you do?" Julieta said as Alma was completely calm.

"Julieta, put the gun down." Alma icily said.

Despite Julieta's fear, the mother demanded an answer. Alma got up and slapped the gun right out of her hands and onto the potato salad.

"I merely remarked that the profession she wanted to pursue was a poor choice." Alma said glaring at Julieta. "Julieta…Julieta, always limp wristed at the worst times. I suppose I'll give Mirabel credit, planned this out to keep me away."

Alma turned to Dolores.

"I want an occasional check up on Maribel. I want info as of yesterday." Alma said.

"What about the car?" Dolores asked.

"Either she's involved or she's not. Regardless, look into it." Alma said before going for the stairs. "Good night everyone."

Alma's mind was awash with thoughts, one of the most prevalent being that maybe she was wrong on Mirabel being soft.

[West Vinewood]

From her apartment, Yugito watched with interest. She was not surprised the box was stolen considering who it belonged to…Gang and Narcotics Division. Whoever did it basically made her job easier, so she turned her television off. She went to bed satisfied.

Naruto and Isaribi were back in Los Santos in front of Lester's factory, no longer wearing their masks. Their ties were in their pockets and both of them looked a bit tussled as Lester came down. He took the box with glee on his face.

"Oh, it is the holiday season at the Crest residence and daddy's out drinking." Lester said, putting the box inside. "You passed. Good work, both of you. That thing I was working on, I'll let you when it's all set. Anyone comes to me in need of help, I'll mention you both as a reliable pair of hands."

"Thanks, Lester." Naruto said.

"A pleasure." Isaribi said as Lester went inside to deal with the bonds.

"For the first time, that wasn't bad, but don't get clingy." Lester remarked as the two walked away.

A flash of green before the status screen came out.

[Heist Passed!]

Heist Take - $250,250 (50% Split into $125,125)

In the end, they walked away with a little over $175 grand in gains to which Naruto considered a nice victory. Isaribi cited that maybe he could buy a place of his own.

"No more slumming it in that apartment of yours." Isaribi said, as she got on her phone. "You need a second place. Considering we're a team, we need property on your name too."

"And where exactly am I going…"

Naruto got a text from her which was a link to a house for sale for $175 grand.

"It's not high-end, more medium. But it comes with a six-car garage. Figured that you'd want to upgrade to an actual house." Isaribi said gently before calling for a cab. "Tempting as it is to celebrate with drinks, let's save that for tomorrow. I could use some sleep."

He was alone again looking at this property.

"4 Hangman Avenue, Vinewood Hills. Well, I'm not going to just pass on this…there's even a backyard pool." Naruto thought to himself.

The idea of Isaribi, Fu, Mirabel, and even Yara in bikinis by his pool was too good not to make happen. So he bought the house and got in his Patriot driving up to the place right away. Once there, he drove his car into the garage. His orange Dominator was there in the garage already.

"I'm going to need a motorcycle. I can jack one from one of the Lost." Naruto said to himself as he got out of the car and walked out of the garage.

He wanted to tour the outside first seeing the garage was like the others, larger on the inside than on the outside. Naruto found an outdoor garden with a view of the city.

"Damn…this for 175 grand." Naruto mumbled. "It doesn't compare to the other houses on the hills, but still."

Naruto snapped a photo of the view with his cell phone thinking of putting it on wallpaper for his phone…or maybe his lock screen. His cell rang with a video call from home and he answered to see his mother and sister.

"Where's dad?" Naruto asked.

"Going to be late. Traffic jam." Kushina said sympathetically. "He sends his love. How are you doing?"

"Fine. Things have been picking up…I got a new house and got work." Naruto said being a bit vague.

"So what do you do?" Naruko asked.

"Freelancing…with taxi work on the side." Naruto said.

"That's great. I'm glad you're making some progress in your endeavors." Kushina said as Minato came on screen exhausted. "And here he is."

"Hey son, it's good to see you're alright. I heard some crazy stuff has been happening in Los Santos." Minato said as Naruto tried not to laugh.

"I got two former military parents who trained me and my sister to handle several weapons and tactics." Naruto said dryly. "I'm always strapped."

"So you're basically a hitman for hire like tousan used to be?" Naruko asked as both parents sputtered.

"Well look at the time, I need to go get some sleep." Naruto said, before hanging up.

Naruto groaned before his phone rang with a familiar ringtone, and he immediately smirked before answering.

"Shikamaru, man am I glad to hear from you." Naruto remarked.

"I am, but when the hell were going to call me to tell me you were making moves in LS, without me." Shikamaru said as Naruto pouted.

"I'm not a complete hapless moron, and…I kinda forgot. A lot of shit has happened. You wouldn't believe it, and I have made some progress with some people. And I have a good judge of character, especially with my partner." Naruto remarked.

"Yes, I've heard about Miss Umi." Shikamaru said. "And before you ask how, Lester."

"Small world, but you coming to join me here? I could use you for the business." Naruto remarked. "I could use you and guys together like old times."

"Only this time, I'm not bailing your asses out because of poor planning." Shikamaru said. "But you got your shit together as it seems. Can't say much about gathering the boys. Kiba went into the family business…after he knocked some girl up. Recently, Choji was spending his time as a club fighter in LC. He does it to pay for fine dining and improve his cooking skills. Last I heard, some shit was going down and he needed to bounce from Liberty fast."

"He in deep?" He asked.

"Let's just say, he's got two crews on his ass. Beat up the boss who was blackmailing his friend and won his tournament. The other crew wants to kill him because he beat up the first boss. They see him and his friend as a threat." Shikamaru said. "I was already working to get him out. I guess we'll be seeing you in LS soon."

Shikamaru hung up as Naruto looked over at the pool thinking of the parties he could have. An outdoor radio was set up, but it was not on at the moment. He entered through the back door to look around the inside. Furnishings were fairly comfortable, with the living room looking more like a lounge with the big screen television. The fridge was stocked with food to his relief, but he found there was no bong.

"Ugh, I guess I'll have to buy a bong." Naruto said before going to his bedroom.

Kicking off his shoes, he laid back on his bed reflecting on all he'd done. Of course, Kaguya was also on the back of his mind. Yeah, she gave him a gift most would kill for, but…the idea that Espilonists were not all completely crazy did put a shiver down his spine. As did Isaribi's.

Not that it stopped him from falling asleep soon after.

Kaguya looked upon the events of the world with avant glee. She was looking forward to what was to come…and was soon ready to deal with that meddlesome cult. She sat upon a luxurious seat surrounded by various items, some of note.

"I wonder what the players will think of the curveballs to come." She said, chuckling as she poured herself a glass of vodka. "Or what you think is coming, humble observer?"

She drank her drink down before putting it on the table.

"Regardless, I'll be seeing you for the next arc. So raise your drinks up high, for what's to come."

(A/N: The second arc is finally over, and yes, Kaguya did break the fourth wall. That was on purpose to show how alien she was considering GTA is pretty grounded…most of the time. I also figured that Micheal deserved a little cameo considering the Heists, it'd make sense he'd see them on the news and comment on them. So Naruto has a new place and there's plenty to do. So what are the plans for the third arc? It's going to be a long one extending all the way to the start of GTA V canon in the fall. Look forward to it and I do go back and edit past chapters to clean up spelling and grammar.
