Chapter 3
Iruka wasn't a particularly religious man but he found himself praying to the Log daily that he would home in one piece. Naruto had brought to his classroom a special kind of hellish chaos that was better for one's health not to question. He wondered if his life would be easier if he adopted Jashin as god as some of students had.
'No, that's a terrible idea' He mused to himself.
The academy teacher looked up to find Naruto looking straight at him as if he had heard his thoughts. He suppressed a shiver as he mentally prepared himself to start another hectic day of class.
"Good morning students, a reminder that the genin exams are in a few weeks" Iruka greeted and reminded but huffed to himself as only half the class paid him any mind.
As he filled his lungs to reprimand his wayward charges, the loud sound of glass shattering filled his ears.
"Naru-kun! I missed you!" A blur shouted as the young avatar was tackled of his seat.
Iruka sighed as he palmed his face, the day hadn't even started class and already the madness starts. Naruto giggled from his position on pinned between the floor and an overly affectionate kunoichi.
"Silly Ko-chan its been like two hours" his voice slightly altered by his cheeks being pressed into Anko's.
Sasuke looked down at the scene of a sixteen-year-old jonin acting very much like a cat with her favorite toy with dispassion. He sighed as he looked back towards the front of the classroom, resting his cheek on a fist.
'Of course the 'favorite' would interrupt my time with Naruto-kun' the scion of the Uchiha though in defeat.
He knew better than to raise a fuss about the young woman interrupting his conversation with the avatar of their religion. Anko had made it plain that she was his 'senior' because she had been the first to convert and he had only come around to converting himself at the end of his first year at the academy. He though fondly back on the last three years of his devoted service to Jashin-sama and Naruto-kun. He was grateful to his goddess and her avatar for the vast improvement to his life, even when Naruto had to literally beat some sense into him.
"Ko-chan! Get off me!" Naruto's complaint knocked the ravenette out of his revery.
After a small scuffle, which most of the room's occupants pointily ignored, Naruto was seated back in his chair with Anko lazily draped on his shoulders. The strange trio paid no mind to the jealous glances sent in their direction. Iruka took a calming breath to center himself before continuing where he left off almost twenty minutes ago.
"As I was saying the graduation exams are coming up so today will be a practical review on testable subjects" The chunin paid no mind to the select few of his class that were in their own little bubble.
"Come on Naru-chan! Ditch this stupid class and spend time with me!" Pleaded the purplette.
"We are spending time together right no Ko-chan" Naruto waved off.
"But it sucks here" She whined dramatically "It so much better at I&T"
Sasuke huffed at her attempt to ditch Iruka's class, and by extension him.
"That's true but Sas-chan has to come with" the young genin-in-training conceded.
"Wha?" Sauske questioned dumbly as his head swiveled to look at Naruto.
"What? Why?" The Interrogator looked at Naruto with surprise.
It was a fair question. Sasuke had never left class with Naruto when he ditched, let alone been so openly invited.
"Sas-chan is gonna ace the test, and it will do him some good to meet more of Jashi-chan's followers" The blond explained.
"Yeah that's true I guess" Anko replied unconvinced.
"Then it's settled then!" Naruto cheered "Come on Sas-chan, lets go introduce you to the rest of the family"
Sasuke for his part made no response knowing he really didn't have a choice. No one acknowledged the group as they made their way out of the class, Naruto now on his preferred perch atop Anko's shoulders and Sasuke trailing behind.
"Maybe this will motivate the other one to stop being so closeted" Naruto mumbled to himself.
His two companions were confused on what he meant but the person in question watched their exodus with well-hidden jealously.

As the trio entered the admittedly warm and welcoming front lobby of the Torture and Interrogation Department, they were greeted by the department head himself.
"Greetings Naruto-sa-"Ibiki began but Naruto had other plans.
Naruto hoped off Anko's shoulders and punched the scared jonin right in the face. Ibiki took the assault head on, unfazed. He cast his eyes down at his diminutive attacker, blood running out from his nose.
"Tsk tsk, boss you know Naru-kun hates the sama stuff" Anko chastised her superior while Naruto puffed his cheeks petulantly.
"My apologizes Naruto-kun" The head interrogator corrected.
"Close enough" Naruto huffed out annoyed "Biki-chan this is Sas-chan"
Ibiki looked past his the jonin under his command to the second member of Naruto's entourage. Sasuke felt very out of place under the scared man's stared and quickly looked away.
"Yes, the Uchiha" He acknowledged with emotion.
Nothing more was said on the matter as Jashin's avatar moved passed the bandana wearing jonin to travel further into the building. Ibiki paid no mind to the others as he turned to follow, Anko shrugging at his cold greeting to Sasuke and following after. The last loyal Uchiha spared a moment to wonder if the man was like this to everyone or if he was special before hurrying to catch up to the others.

The day of the genin graduation exam had come and passed, Naruto not even bothering to show up to class that day. Predictably, all the children from clans had passed with flying colors. Even a good majority of the students from civilian and non-clan families had successfully completed the exam. Konoha hadn't seen a graduation class this large in over a decade.
"Isn't Anko-sempai your jonin sensei?" Sasuke asked Naruto as they sat waiting for the teams to be announced.
"Yeah but the old man 'insisted' that I be here to 'familiarize' myself with the genin teams" The blond air quoted.
In truth the aging Hokage had threated to use seals to paralyze Naruto if he refused to show up on team placement day. Sasuke decided not to question him further and opted instead to wait out the rest of the morning in peaceable silence.
It wasn't long before Iruka entered with a clip board and a proud smile on his face. He started his last day as their teacher with a heart felt speech that the Jashinist of his class promptly tuned out in favor of their own thoughts.
"-That said know that I couldn't be more proud of you" The scared teacher finished before moving on to the next topic "Squads will be ass follows-"
Naruto really couldn't be bothered to care as the teams were listed off, only two newly minted genin mattered to him. As the chunin instructor rattled of the teams and the senseis in charge of them, Naruto zoned out until Sasuke's name was called.
"-and Sakura with jonin Kakashi." Iruka called before further explaining "Team Seven will only have two genin as there are not enough graduates to give every team three. However, since you are down a man you will get first priority to Team 'Anko'"
"Honestly had to be extra huh Ko-chan" Naruto sighed to himself "You're so lucky to have Kaka-nii as your sensei, he is super awesome!"
'Of course, he knows my jonin sensei' Sasuke thought to himself.
Iruka had finished his list shortly after and it wasn't long before jonin began showing up to grad their genin. A puff on smoke herald the arrive of another jonin but before it could dissipate Naruto was already rocketing out of his seat.
"Kaka-nii!" He exclaimed as he flew into the cloud.
"Well hello Naru-chan" A man's voice called out happily form the obscuration.
Most would have believed that 'always late' Kakashi would show up to anything on time, let alone to pick up his squad but something had fundamentally changed about the jonin two years four years back. His less than savory habits had been dropped, and though he still read a book most of the time it was no longer smut. A few of his jonin colleges had contemplated that this was in fact an imposter. Such fears were quickly laid to rest by the Hokage himself. All he had to say on the matter was that Kakashi had found a good influence in his life.
"Kaka-nii this is Sas-chan!" The genin introduced from his place wrapped around the jonin's torso
"Yes, I've heard of your classmate" the masked man nodded.
A window shattering announced the arrival of another jonin.
"Good timing Ko-chan! Let's go watch Kaka-nii beat the pink bitch black and blue!" Naruto called out happily as he bounded over to the female interrogation specialist and took his place on her shoulders
Anko took the plan instride and followed the silver haired man out the door. Sasuke sighed to himself, anticipating a new kind of fresh hell. Sakura scampered after the group, having missed their conversation while day dreaming about her crush.
What followed that day was a brutal beat down of two fresh genin by their sadistic sensei as Team Anko at dango from the side line, laughing at their misery.
