Note: the series of to aru majutsu no index and rick and Morty do not belong to me.
The bell rang at Henry Herpson High School as students began to advance to the next quarter, when suddenly a voice was heard over the public address system.
"Director Vagina here, don't let the name fool you, I'm in charge, reminding you that tonight is our annual flu season dance. I don't know how many times I have to say this, but if you have the flu, stay home. The flu season dance is about awareness, not celebration. "
While making his announcement, Oliver walked over to a vending machine near the cafeteria and quickly began putting money into the machine in hopes of getting some cold drinks. Oliver waited a moment but nothing happened, the machine took his money.
"Tch, damn it."Oliver said very annoyed, and started hitting the machine on the side in the hope that it would start working, unfortunately for him it was not very successful.
"Right now you look like an idiot." said a voice behind him.
He quickly turned around to meet Misaka Mikoto, who was giving him a quizzical look.
"* sigh * it's you, what do you want?" Oliver asked, a bit exasperated.
"How rude you are, maybe that's why you don't have a single friend" Misaka said mockingly as she started to approach the machine.
"Tch, look who says it" Oliver said with great irritation.
But Mikoto paid him no attention, instead he walked straight to the side of the machine, and with a quick movement kicked the side of the machine causing a soda to fall to the bottom.
He took the soda and handed it to Oliver.
"Here, the machine tends to steal people's money, you don't have to thank me." Mikoto said, looking smug.
"Anyway, I have other things to do." Oliver said with annoyance as he looked at the soda in his hands.
"I'm sure you have nothing to do, you are a lazy person who never pays attention in class" Mikoto said very exasperated.
"The classes are boring, I know all the things they teach." Oliver said nonchalantly.
"You really must improve that attitude of yours." Mikoto said.
"Tch, what do you care !?" Oliver said, raising his voice.
"I care because you are the only person I can compete with academically, I think you need to go out more so as not to look like a ghost because of how pale you are, and you need to make friends because even I think you are too lonely." Mikoto said as if she was scolding him.
"Oh? How do you want me to make * friends *?" Oliver asked feigning interest as he began to drink the cold soda.
"... Well, you could go to the flu season dance, since you have nothing else to do" Mikoto said as she looked away, her face red for some reason that Oliver didn't understand.
"That thing? I'm not interested, I'd rather read a manga than go to a stupid dance" said Oliver not very interested in the conversation.
"Idiot! You really are lazy, you will go to that dance unless you want me to beat you up!" Mikoto said and then stormed off, leaving a confused Oliver by the machine.
"Tch, damn" Oliver said annoyed, he could feel that this was not going to be his lucky day.
….
Some time later, Oliver was currently in his room, thinking about the conversation with Mikoto, he really had no interest in going to that stupid dance, that kind of thing never interested him, especially if he had to go to something as uncomfortable as a suit.
But he also knew that that girl would start to annoy him if he didn't go, so he would have no choice but to go to that stupid dance, much to his misfortune.
"I need a coffee" Oliver said tiredly, he's not at that stupid party and he's already feeling tired.
Oliver left his room and started looking for his black coffee in the kitchen. When he arrived he could see Jerry, who was making a sandwich and talking to a discouraged Morty.
"Don't worry, Morty. You're a good boy. I know you can't get girls right now, but you will when Brad is out of shape." Jerry advised, causing Oliver to pay attention to the conversation when he entered the kitchen.
"You're missing the point, Dad. I don't want girls, I want Jessica!" Morty complained like a child.
"Are you still with that? Accept that he doesn't like you." Oliver said in annoyance, as he started looking for his black coffee in the kitchen.
"No, Oliver! I won't take it, until I have Jessica!" Morty yelled angrily.
"Tch, now you're talking like she's an object." Oliver said in disgust, as he took a can of the black coffee that he likes from the refrigerator.
"Woah, guys, calm down a little, look what I have to say." Jerry said.
"What stupidity are you going to say now?" Oliver he asked without much interest in listening to Jerry, instead he started to drink his black coffee.
"It's not stupid, Oliver." Jerry said, while he goes to the closet to get another jar of sauce.
"Look Morty, I remember feeling this way for a young woman named your mom, and that's not an urban disease, your mom was my Jessica. I remember the first time I saw her, I thought ..." Jerry was about to continue until a person interrupted.
"I'm going to get her pregnant, then she'll have to marry me" Rick said as he took a glass from the cupboard.
"Excuse me, that comment is inappropriate, Rick," Jerry chided, pointing at Morty to prove his point, while Oliver just snorted at the comment.
"Sorry, continue your story about fucking my daughter in high school. I'm not sure you want to take romantic advice like this, Morty, your marriage is hanging by a thread." Rick said as he drank ice from the fridge.
"My marriage is fine, thank you!" Jerry barked.
"Jerry, this is your house. You can say what you want. But even a blind man can see that Beth ... can't wait to get away." Rick said, as he approached them.
"He's right, I don't care either, but even I can see that your marriage is going through a bad time" Oliver he said nonchalantly as he tossed the can of black coffee into the trash. These comments took Jerry by surprise, unable to respond, on the other hand Rick laughed at him.
"Come on guys. Don't talk to my parents like that." Morty said pleadingly.
"Listen guys, I'll give you some advice, I hate to say it, but what people call 'love' is just a chemical reaction that forces animals to reproduce. Hit hard, guys, then slowly disappear, leaving you stranded in a failed marriage. I did. Jerry and Beth are doing it. You must break the cycle, guys. Focus on science."Rick said as he took a sip of juice and left the kitchen.
"Okay, well I'm dressing for the dance." Morty said, then he came out of the kitchen.
"Tch, I have to get dressed too" Oliver said following Morty.
"Wait a minute, are you going too? I thought you didn't care about these things." Morty said, pausing for a moment.
"Let's just say I don't have a choice." Oliver said as he walked past Morty, who was following him in surprise.
"Yeah, I'm just going to ... see Beth." Jerry said coming out of the kitchen.
…..
Some time later Morty and Oliver were already prepared to go to the dance, but Morty who was thoughtful by the discussion in the kitchen decided to see Rick to ask him for something, so he went to the garage, where he found Rick working on some kind of machine on your desk.
"Morty, could you pass me that screwdriver? I'm almost done making my ion defibulizer, Morty. It's going to be great" said an excited Rick.
"Hi Rick. Do you remember earlier when you talked about love being just chemical and stuff? You see ... I, um ... you know ... you think you could do some kind of chemical to make Jessica ... Fall in love with me and stuff, like some kind of love potion or something? " Morty asked nervously as he approached Rick at his desk.
"Morty, that's a waste of my time, it's a small thing for me. Pass me the screwdriver" Rick replied while pointing at the screwdriver.
"You know Rick! No, I won't give it to you! I'll never give you anything! I always help you! But you never help me, Rick, why can't you do it for me this time?" Morty asked desperately.
Now it was Rick's turn to sigh. "You're growing fast Morty. You've become a pain in the butt" replied a very annoyed Rick.
Rick walked over to his shelf and pulled out a test tube with a yellow-green liquid inside along with a box of other tools.
"Listen, this is called oxytocin. I got it from a vole. Do you know what a vole is, Morty, do you know what a vole is?" Rick asked, only for Morty to shake his head.
"It's an * Urp * rodent that mates for life, Morty. This is the chemical release in the mammalian brain." Rick pulled some kind of machine out of the box and opened the hatch, pouring oxytocin into it.
"That makes him fall in love. Alright Morty, I just have to combine it with some of your DNA" Rick said, however, contrary to Rick's expectations, Morty unbuttoned his pants.
"No, Morty. I need hair. This is not Game of Thrones" Rick said exasperated, and then took a hair from Morty.
Rick then dropped his hair into the machine and closed the hatch. Then the machine vibrated and made a noise before pouring an orange liquid into a conical flask. Rick then took the jar.
"Alright Morty, the person you put it on will fall in love with you and only you, forever. Are you happy now Morty?" Rick said as he handed the jar to Morty before sitting back down at his desk.
"Wow, thanks Grandpa Rick" said a cheerful Morty, who started to walk away until he stopped for a moment.
"Are there any dangers or side effects?" asked Morty.
"Www ... What am I? I'm a pro! Go crazy Morty, it's totally safe." Rick replied.
Morty readily accepted Rick's reply, and left the garage to go to the dance.
Once he was gone, Rick realized something.
"Hm. Unless he has the flu." Rick said, but he shrugged as he continued working.
…..
Meanwhile, in Beth and Jerry's room, the former was typing on her computer with one while the latter was sitting on her bed with a sad expression.
"Beth ... do you still love me?" Jerry asked.
"What kind of question is that?" Beth asks without paying attention to Jerry.
"Of the type 'yes' or 'no'". Jerry replied.
"Jerry, do you want the homeless to have a home?" Beth asked.
"Yes." Jerry said.
"Are you going to build them?" Beth asked again.
"No." Jerry replied.
"So why did you choose yes?" Beth asked.
"Wait, ... is the home loving me or the homeless?" Jerry asked, walking over to Beth.
"Loving you is work, Jerry, hard work, like building a homeless shelter. Nobody wants to say 'no' to doing it, but some people put in the work. So what do you say? Do you see me working here? seems tedious? " Beth said with an irritated look.
"Something like?" Jerry replied.
"But obviously I love you, right? So stop asking and maybe I'll love you more." Beth commented, but before she could speak further, she noticed an alert on her phone and looked at him.
"Shit, they need me at the horse hospital" Beth said in surprise.
"Wait? This late?" Jerry asked.
"The racetrack had a starlit derby, there was a seven horse collision and Davin is alone." Beth said clearly.
"Davin ... Davin ... Davin ... Davin? ... Davin? ... Davin! ... Davin!" Jerry thought, looking more and more angry.
…
Meanwhile, outside the school, Oliver was in the parking lot near the entrance, because there was a party he had no choice but to wear more formal clothes for the occasion, since he knew that Misaka would bother him if he went with his casual clothes .
His outfit consisted of a long-sleeved black T-shirt, a light purple tie and white pants with suspenders, and finally white shoes, although this type of clothing was not Oliver's favorite, it was easy for him to put it on.
"Tch, damn" Oliver said as he started to enter the school, normally if it was someone else, Oliver would ignore a threat like the one Misaka made about hitting him if he didn't show up at this stupid dance. He wasn't the type of person to he allowed himself to be threatened, he may not be physically strong, but he knew other ways to defend himself.
Unfortunately for him, Misaka was the type of person he could barely beat, not only was she physically superior to him, she was also not an idiot unlike most of the students in the school. He had no choice but to go to the dance.
Soon after, Oliver finally managed to get into the school, and as he walked through the hallways, a familiar voice called out to him again.
"You really did come so you're not as lazy as I thought" said the familiar voice.
Again Oliver turned to meet Misaka Mikoto, who this time was looking at him with a surprised face, as if he had expected her not to appear.
"Tch, you basically threatened to hit me, if I hadn't come to this stupid dance." Oliver said nonchalantly.
"Oh, it was really just a joke, I'm not that bad." said Misaka with the same tone of indifference that Oliver used.
"I highly doubt it was a joke." Oliver replied.
"Anyway, that suit looks good on you. I'm surprised you didn't come with your casual clothes, speaking of which, what do you think of my dress?" Mikoto asked with a bit of nervousness
Oliver only raises an eyebrow at that, but he doesn't think much about it, instead he looks at Misaka's dress, the dress is a deep purple with a short skirt and had black details like a ribbon around the waist.
In general, most people would say that Mikoto looks cute or beautiful, but someone as laid back and selfless as Oliver would have a not very enthusiastic opinion.
"I guess the dress is fine." Oliver said, using the same blank tone as always.
Hearing Oliver's empty and bored reply makes Mikoto's expression suddenly change, going from being a bit nervous to being very angry.
"What kind of empty compliment is that! Why are you so lazy about everything ?!" Mikoto screamed as he pointed accusingly at Oliver, as if he had committed some crime.
"Tch, you're very annoying, and I still don't understand why you want to come to this stupid dance." Oliver commented as he started to walk towards the gym where the party was taking place.
"I already told you, you have to go out more, look how pale you are, and I think you really need to make friends" Mikoto said mockingly as she walked with Oliver on the way to the party.
"* sigh * you're not better, I've never seen you with a friend" Oliver commented exasperated.
Unfortunately, Mikoto, who was concentrating on going to the party, ignored Oliver again. Unfortunately they did not realize that Morty also entered the school, at this moment he seemed determined to achieve a goal.
…..
Meanwhile, back at the Smith Residence, Jerry and Summer were sitting watching a television show, it could be seen that Jerry was still worried about losing Beth, while Summer was not paying much attention to what his father was saying.
"She'll be alone with that man all night." Jerry said as he looked concerned.
"Yeah dad. They're checking horses, it's not a very romantic setting." Summer said as she continued to pay more attention to the television.
Before Jerry could respond to Summer, Rick, who had just finished several jobs in the garage, walked into the room and, seeing the conversation, Jerry and Summer decided to intervene.
"Well, there's always the possibility that she lied. Maybe Davin is checking her inside." Rick commented nonchalantly.
"Grandpa, how disgusting! You're talking about my mother!" Summer screamed, very scandalized.
"And this is my daughter, Summer. I have priority. If family ties are of no use, then we should not play that card." Rick replied as he took control of the television and changed the channel.
"She's not answering text messages." Jerry said as he looked at his cell phone.
"Be careful, Dad. Jealousy has a counterproductive effect on women." Summer warned.
"Very convenient!" Jerry exclaimed.
"Not for men who are deceived." Rick commented as he kept switching channels.
"Okay, I'm going out for ice cream. Maybe I'll stop by the hospital to help my wife." Jerry said as he got up from the couch and left the house.
"Grandpa, you are an idiot!" Summer said, surprised by the meanness of her grandfather.
"I'm sorry Summer, but your opinion doesn't matter to me" Rick commented as he sat down on the couch.
"By the way, have you seen Oliver? I think I need help with a job I'm doing in the garage." Rick asks Summer about the strangeness of not finding Oliver.
"He went to the school dance." Summer replied as she turned her attention back to the television.
"What ?! Why the hell would someone like him be interested in that stupid dance?" Rick exclaimed, genuinely surprised.
"I don't know, he just said something about not having many options." Summer explained as she shrugged.
"What the hell? Wait a minute, why aren't you at the dance?" Rick asked, still confused about Oliver's reason for going to the dance, but now he's curious about Summer, too.
"I'm not crazy. I don't want to get sick. It's flu season," Summer said as she took control of the television.
"Wait, is it flu season?" Rick asked.
"Yes, it is," Summer replied.
"Oh God" Rick said, knowing the disaster was coming.
….
Meanwhile, inside the school gym, a new flu season dance was taking place, and for Morty, this was a chance to get Jessica.
Right now Morty was dressed in a blue suit with a yellow T-shirt, a red tie, and fancy shoes.
He passed the students, who were busy eating and drinking.
Surprisingly, she was also able to see Oliver talking to a girl while they drank punch.
That was Misaka, a girl that Morty had seen talking to Oliver in the past, however Morty didn't have time to reflect on that, he only had one goal in mind.
After walking around for a while, Morty saw Jessica and her friends. When Morty approaches them, he takes the jar and pours its contents into his hand.
"Hi Jessica." Morty said, extending his tainted hand towards Jessica, and managed to smear the potion on her body.
"Wow, I'm sorry!" Morty said, feigning an accident.
When Jessica turned around, her pupils dilated, showing that the serum had already affected her.
"Holy crap, Morty. You look great tonight!" Jessica said, very excited.
"Wow, thank you!" Morty said, when Jessica suddenly grabbed him and brought her face close to her breasts.
"I love you, Morty. I love you so much it burns!" Jessica screamed very "in love".
"Oh man. I love you too Jessica!" Morty said, blushing with embarrassment.
Brad, who was walking near her, looked at Jessica and heard what Morty said. He quickly walked over to them and pushed Morty away from Jessica's embrace.
"Is this punk bothering you, Jessica?" Brad said before turning to Morty.
"Leave him alone, you idiot! I'm in love with him! He's more of a man than you will be!" Jessica screamed, pushing Brad away angrily.
Jessica sneezed at a surprised Brad. The flu virus was carried by the wind from Jessica's sneeze, entering Brad's mouth and causing Brad's eyes to widen.
"Oh man, Morty, uh, I'm so sorry."Brad apologized to Morty.
"Oh well, no problem Brad." Morty said, very surprised by the sincere apology. However, he didn't expect Brad to suddenly hug him.
"There is something special about you, something special." Unexpectedly, Brad hugged Morty from behind and squeezed his butt.
"Woah, take it easy!" Morty stuttered.
"Get your hands off him!" Suddenly, Jessica lunged at Brad.
"Back off! I'm trying to be with my man!" Brad screamed. The two began to fist fight over Morty. Before they could continue, they were interrupted by Director Vagina and .
"That's enough Bradley. We don't want you to hurt your throwing arm." said Gene Vagina, before he and Goldenfold proceeded to drag Brad away.
"Oh, Director Vagina." Brad groaned in disappointment.
As they carried him away, Jessica cradled Morty's face in her arms.
"Never leave me, Morty, never!" Jessica screamed seriously.
"Uh, sure. I mean, of course not. What happened to Brad?" asked a confused Morty.
"Who cares? Just hold me." said Jessica.
"Let me go! I love you Morty!" Brad yelled, as Gene and Goldenfold took him away, he sneezed into the punch bowl and something into the vents.
While Morty began to dance with Jessica, Oliver was talking to Mikoto, at this moment he has a bored face, as if he didn't want to be there, on the other hand Mikoto seemed confused by the scandal that had occurred between Brad and Jessica.
"How strange, I wonder what happened there, and isn't that your cousin?" Mikoto asked, confused by Jessica and Brad's fight over Morty.
"I don't know, I wasn't paying much attention." Oliver replied, not very interested in Morty's problems.
"Why are you so bored? It's a party! Can't you show a little interest?" Misaka asked, annoyed by how little interest Oliver shows.
" *sigh* It's not that interesting, I've already been through more exciting things than a stupid dance" Oliver replied, showing how little dancing matters to him.
"How bitter you are! That's why you're a loner" Mikoto pointed out accusingly.
"Tch, you call me a loner but I've never seen you with a friend" Oliver replied with his eyes rolled at Misaka's accusation.
"W-what are you talking about? I ... I have friends!" Mikoto said nervously as he tried to look away.
"A-anyway, you said you've been through more interesting things, you mean those crazy adventures of yours?" Mikoto asked in an attempt to change the conversation, Oliver arched an eyebrow at that, but then shrugged and didn't give the subject any more importance.
"You might say yes, after traveling through space and various dimensions on Rick's wacky adventures, it makes things like this dance feel more boring, plus this kind of thing never interested me anyway." Oliver explained as he went back to drinking the punch.
"I guess I get it, the adventures you have seem very exciting" Mikoto said while showing interest.
"Actually, they can be very exhausting." Oliver said.
"But having adventures in the universe and other dimensions seems to be great, it makes you seem like a kind of great adventurer or a hero" Mikoto said very euphoric, showing the most childish side of her, on the other hand Oliver seems annoyed.
"What is it? Am I wrong?" Mikoto asks seeing Oliver's face.
"Maybe you're right about the adventurer part, but I'm far from being a hero." Oliver responded surprisingly serious.
"I don't understand why you seem upset about being called a hero, aren't you a hero after all those adventures?" Mikoto said now confused.
"Of course not, a hero is not an adventurer, a hero is one who fights for what he believes is right and protects the innocent from injustice, those types of people are the true heroes, and that's why someone like me is not a hero." Oliver responded with a distant look.
"... you have a very idealized perception of what a hero is" Mikoto said with a surprised face.
"Tch, you asked and I answered" Oliver said, relaxing again.
"Well, there must be something at this party that can cheer you up anyway." Mikoto said as he looked at the other people dancing with his classmates, including Morty and Jessica who were dancing in the center of the dance floor.
"What do you want me to do, dance? No thanks, I'm not interested" Oliver said getting bored again.
"You are really bitter!" Misaka yelled annoyed.
….
While Oliver and Mikoto kept talking.
Morty and Jessica were still dancing, with the latter making various sexual movements while Morty watched with a rather confused but happy expression.
"Please make this work." Morty said.
"Oh God. Do it, Morty !." Suddenly Jessica got down on all fours, her bottom looking directly at Morty.
"Take off my clothes and let's be together for life!" yelled Jessica very crazy.
When Jessica let out a loose growl, Morty put on a puzzled expression.
The scandal caught the attention of Oliver and Mikoto, who decided to observe what was happening, Mikoto mainly out of curiosity while Oliver decided to see what trouble Morty had gotten into.
"Um, shouldn't we go somewhere a bit private?" Morty asked now very confused, while Mikoto was also confused and Oliver now looks suspiciously at Morty.
"What's wrong with her?" Asked Mikoto.
"Jessica, calm down!" I speak one of Jessica's friends went to try to get her out of her, but the serum reached her brain and the rest of the people including Mikoto.
"You don't deserve to carry Morty's genes" said the now controlled girl.
"What the hell...?" Oliver said when he saw how the students soon began to look at Morty strangely, at that he began to move away from the center of the dance floor.
"No, you don't deserve Morty either!" Mikoto said that she, like everyone else, was affected by the serum, this earned her a puzzled look from Oliver, who quickly glanced at Morty.
"What the hell did you do?" Oliver asked coldly as he continued to walk away.
"I, I don't ..." Morty said between stutters, as he too began to walk away from the students who were still staring at him, and even the rapper on stage, who started rapping about Morty.
I love morty
And I hope Morty loves me.
I would like to wrap my arms around him
And feel it inside of me.
Morty suddenly screamed as the new mob rushed towards him, trying to procreate with the boy.
Oliver reacted quickly and went to help Morty, pushing his way through the students to finally get Morty out, the two of them immediately ran towards the exit, but unexpectedly someone opened the door.
"Guys, come with me, we must get out of here!" Rick said.
The two of them immediately managed to run out of the gym and to safety when Rick closed the door.
"What the hell is going on ?!" Oliver yelled very angry and confused.
"You won't believe me Oliver, but Morty asked me to make him a love serum, and I could have made a mistake." Rick responded quickly.
Before Oliver could say anything, the horny students started breaking through the windows, immediately the three of them started running away from the group of students again. Passing by the principal's office, Gene came out wide-eyed like everyone else in the gym.
"Morty, are you okay?" Gene asked.
"I'm fine!" Morty replied.
"Good. If something happened to you, it would kill me." Gene replied.
He turned left and Oliver looked back to see another group of students emerging from another hallway.
"How did a serum cause this ?!" Oliver said.
Soon enough, another door opened, and Goldenfold came in and ran alongside Gene.
"Morty, the principal, and I have discussed it, aa-and we're both insecure enough to have a threesome!" Yelled Mr. Goldenfold.
Soon, they managed to escape the school, the three of them ran towards Rick's space cruiser, they quickly managed to get inside and Rick began to press various buttons.
"When I gave them the potion, I didn't know Jessica had the flu. That was a very important detail." Rick explained to the two guys who were sitting in the back of the boat, while he kept pressing various buttons.
"So you caused this !" Oliver yelled as he looked at Morty.
"W-well I ..." unfortunately for Morty he couldn't finish speaking when Oliver punched him in the face.
"Oh!" Morty screamed in pain.
"Next time think before you act like a third-rate villain who sees people as objects!" Oliver warned Morty that he was still sore from the hit.
"Guys, stop fighting, the hormone spread along with the virus, now it's in the air, we have to go." Rick said, before the snow took off, a bolt of electricity hit the boat.
"What the hell ?!" Rick screamed, then the three of them looked out the window to see where the lightning was coming from, only to see Misaka who was surrounded by electricity.
"Oh shit!" Morty said.
"What the hell...?" said a confused Oliver.
"Why is there a damn skill user here?" Rick yelled very angrily, luckily the ship had resistance to high electrical voltages, so the space cruiser was able to power up and began to take off despite Misaka's electrical attacks.
"That was unexpected, but don't worry guys. Yo-yo, I made an antidote. It's based on the DNA of a praying mantis." Rick explained, pulling out a vial of green liquid before pouring it into his cruise ship.
Oliver came out of his surprise upon learning that Mikoto was an Esper, instead he glared at Rick in anger and annoyance.
"How the heck will a mantis' DNA work as a cure !?" Oliver asked.
"It's a long story about how mouse DNA serum worked, you just have to know that mantises and voles are practically opposites of each other in terms of romance. While voles mate for life, the female mantis eats the male's head before laying eggs. " Rick said, while preparing the cure.
"Very good. It will all be over very soon." Rick piloted his space cruiser over the crowd, spraying the antidote effervescently at the crowd.
"Oh by the way, none of us are interested in having sex with you. These serums don't work on anyone genetically related to you." Rick added to avoid any doubts.
When the gas died down, everyone's pupils returned to normal and they looked around curiously. However, one of the students suddenly had his skin partially split open, as if a giant praying mantis was growing out of his body.
Soon other people began to transform, including Mikoto and Jessica, this horrified Morty and shocked Oliver.
"What the heck old man, what kind of cure was that!" Oliver screamed.
"Look Oliver, I admit that sometimes science is more 'art' than 'science'. A lot of people don't get it." Rick explained.
"You better find a cure, because if you don't find it, I swear I'll be the one to kill you." Oliver said threateningly.
"Wow! Take it easy Oliver, I still have several plans" said Rick before contemplating possible solutions.
….
Meanwhile, Jerry was driving down the road with an angry expression on his face. He was about to continue driving when he noticed that several cars had stopped and many more had crashed into each other.
"Come on. Are you kidding me?" Jerry asked, getting out of his car and looking around him.
"Hello?" Jerry said.
"Morty!"
Jerry turned and saw several figures emerge from the snowfall. Three insectoids headed toward him.
"You're not Morty! Bring us Morty!" The mantis person hit Jerry's car with one of his arms, causing the man to flee for his life.
Jerry ran through the rubble, dodging corpses until he headed for a crashed police car. Looking down, he saw a dead police officer with a shotgun. Jerry quickly grabbed the gun and then shot the insectoid in the head, then shot the other two before loading his gun.
"No one is going to kill me until I catch my wife with another man." Jerry declared.
…..
Meanwhile, at the Smith Residence, Summer was watching a television program, it was a kind of soap opera. Unfortunately for Summer, what she was seeing was interrupted.
"We interrupt this program with breaking news." said the presenter.
"Oh, come on!" Summer said very annoyed by the interruption.
However, what Summer did not expect is that the reporters are some kind of giant mantis, and that Morty's face was on the big screen.
"This just came in, Morty Smith's whereabouts are still unknown." the reporter said.
"What the hell?" Summer thought out loud, clearly confused.
"All you know is ... how cute it is." the reporter concluded.
"I love him so much that ... I want to make love to him and then eat his head." confessed the reporter.
"I'm the person who loves him the most in the world!" said the reporter.
"That's a lie, you stupid bitch!" the reporter barked in response.
Quickly, the two got into a fight, and Summer was almost as quick to press the remote and change the channel to something else in hopes of escaping that nonsense. However, the channel she turned to was another news show, only to show the same thing, more human mantises talking about Morty. She hugged her knees as she knocked on the door and watched the door slam open, letting three mantis people enter.
"Where is Morty?" the monsters screamed.
Summer screamed and grabbed a lamp, hit one of the insectoids before running towards him, ran out of the house.
….
On the other hand, Rick, Oliver and Morty have settled in a forest near Seattle, and Rick has parked his space cruiser, setting up a small desk while working on vials of liquid while Oliver and Morty were watching a broadcast from a news network in China.
"Well done you idiots. You managed to Destroy the world." Oliver said grumpily.
"Yes, it is surprising how quickly it spread, is incredible." Rick said, as he continued to look at the chemicals.
"What's amazing ?! You can't be serious! This is not right!" Morty said, panicking.
"This is bad! Not only do they want to have sex with me, but now they all want to eat me later." Morty said very scared.
"Tch, don't complain, you and Rick started this madness, and I still don't understand what you were thinking with that garbage of mantis DNA." Oliver said that he seemed angry, but deep down he was frustrated that he couldn't find a solution to save the world.
"Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking, DNA is a bit more complicated than that." Rick admitted, pulling out the jar.
"You know what? This is going to work. It's a koala mixed with rattlesnake, chimpanzee, cactus, shark, golden retriever, and just a sprinkle of dinosaur. It should fix normal humanity, guys." Rick said proudly.
Oliver can only shake my head, I was beginning to believe that Rick didn't know much about biology.
"That doesn't make any sense, Rick. How does that add to normal humanity?" Morty asked.
"What? Do you want me to show you my calculations?" an annoyed Rick asked
"Sorry, are you the scientist or the kid who wanted to get laid?" Rick asked.
"I don't know what to say anymore" was all Oliver said with a face of pure bewilderment.
….
Meanwhile at Saint Equis Hospital, Beth and Devin were entering one of the offices. They both let out a sigh of relief as they removed their gloves.
"Ugh. Well, I'm glad we saved all those horses. I'm almost sorry we're done." Devin said.
"Yes, it is a satisfying job." Beth admitted.
"Uh, it's more than work." Devin said, pointing a finger at Beth before walking over to the desk.
"I love being in that sterile room, isolated from the bedroom. It's the only time I can really think … and feel." Soon enough, Devin turned off the lights when strange music began to play.
"Hmm, what are you doing?" asked a confused Beth.
"Playing dreamy African pop. What are you doing after a long night?" Devin asked.
Beth watched Devin press a button on her remote, somehow lighting a candle.
"E-um, I better get going. Um, Jerry's been texting some high matinence stuff." Beth said shyly.
Before she could get out, Devin closed the door behind her and walked over to her.
"Beth ..." Devin said.
"What's up Devin?" Beth asked, looking to see the blond haired man approach her as she walked backward.
"Just once, I'd like to know." Before Devin could finish his sentence, he suddenly sneezed, and when he opened his eyes again, his pupils dilated.
"... What was it like giving your son a bath?" Davin asked, now low on the serum.
"What did you say!?" Beth asked scared and confused.
"What does ... Morty's skin smell like? How soft-urgh! How soft are his private parts" Devin soon grabbed Beth.
"Urgh, let me go Devin!" Beth screamed, pushing herself out of reach of her partner.
Beth ran behind the desk, watching as Devin tossed the equipment off of it and roared. Her expression went from angry to horrified as Devin grew older, transforming into a mantis person.
"Take me to Morty." Devin said, but before he could pounce on Beth, he heard the door slam open and looked at the silhouette of her figure in front of her.
"You are not Morty." Davin said confused.
The figure revealed himself to be Jerry, who was holding a crowbar in his hands and had a menacing expression on his face.
"No. I am Mr. Crowbar, and this is my friend, that he is also a lever!" Jerry yelled bravely.
"That's stupid." Devin muttered. He didn't react when Jerry drew the gun and hit Devin multiple times.
After the final blow, Jerry spat at him and made a comment.
"Yeah, well, look where being smart got you." Jerry said.
"Jerry! Thank goodness!" Beth cheered.
As Beth ran towards him, Jerry kept an expressionless expression.
"God? God is turning people into incestuous monsters, Beth. I'm the one who beats them to death. Thank you." Jerry said seriously.
"Thank you, Jerry. Thank you ..." Beth said as she ran to hug Jerry.
….
Soon after, Rick's Space Cruiser returned to Seattle, where many things changed. Houses caught fire, cars were overturned, various buildings were left in ruins, and mantis people infested the city, it was basically an apocalyptic scene.
"This is a disaster". Oliver said as he looked at the destruction caused by the serum.
"You're right, this is a big mess. Look down, guys, and admire it, because once I pull this lever, everything goes back to normal." Rick explained.
"Just do it already." Morty screamed.
"At this point I'm not sure if we should do it, I think this supposed cure will be another mistake" Oliver said without much hope, he was obviously already mentally tired.
"It's not going to be another mistake Oliver, I did the math. And we're not in such a rush, I mean, once it's done. It's fixed." Rick said.
"Why not enjoy it a little? L-Look-L-Look how crazy this is! Guys, when was the last time you saw this? I mean, dive in. You-" Before Rick could continue, Morty interrupted.
"That's it, you two, I'm pulling the lever!" Morty unbuckled his seat belts and reached for the lever. When Morty immediately pulled the lever, sending the spray toward Earth. When the dust cleared, everyone apparently returned to normal.
"Does it seem like it worked?" Oliver said as he looked out the window.
"Well what do we have here? It seems I was right and you guys were wrong, huh? I bet you two are feeling pretty stupid right now." Rick boasted.
Oliver ignored Rick as he looked out the window. Soon enough, he began to realize that something was wrong with people and looked at Rick.
"Hey, something's wrong!" Oliver said warning Rick.
"Shit, Rick, look what's going on!" Scream Morty in fear.
"No, you're right. It's never okay for you two." Rick said ignoring both of them.
"No! No! Look idiot!" Morty yelled, shoving Rick's face toward the window.
"What the hell is going on!?" Oliver asked confused when he saw how the people were screaming and tensing in pain.
All three watched as a man fell to his hands and knees as his body began to swell. As he vomited, his arms turned into snakes and slid off as an extra pair of arms sprouted out and his mouth flared, turning into a grotesque mutant of disfigured flesh.
Similar transformations quickly occurred in other infected people.
Not only in Seattle, all over the world similar transformations were taking place.
As they watched the mutant monsters, Oliver leaned back in his seat and began to stare at nothing, as if his mind was elsewhere, as Rick casually started taking a few sips from his flask.
"This must be the best day of your life, huh, Morty? You have a chance to be the mayor of 'I Told You Town." Rick said taking another sip from his flask.
Morty just looked at all of this destruction in a state of shock.
….
Meanwhile, Jerry was driving a car armed with knives in the front, with Beth at his side and a garment ripped to act as a headband, the two of them driving down a monster-filled highway.
"Get ready Beth." Jerry warned seeing Beth hug him right away.
Without warning, Jerry sped up, crashing into the mutants, grinning as he did so. Soon enough, they decided to stop at a time when a whole horde of mutants approached them. Jerry opened the car door as he and Beth drew weapons, Jerry slashed at the mutants with his sword, and Beth shot them with her shotgun.
With the last mutant, Jerry kicked her in the head, which Beth fired in a mess of blood and exploded before cocking her shotgun, much to Jerry's amusement.
"I wish that shotgun was my penis" Jerry said.
"If it was, you can call me Ernest Hemmingway." Beth replied.
"I don't understand it and I don't need it." Jerry replied.
The two were about to kiss when they heard someone yell. They looked to see a rather spent Summer approaching them.
"Summer!?" They both yelled in surprise, Quickly the two hugged her relieved.
"Where's Morty?" Asked a concerned Jerry.
"I don't know, do you think Grandpa Rick had something to do with this?" asked Summer.
"It's not fair to assume that, Summer." Jerry said.
"Oh, isn't that fair? Please, he's a selfish and irresponsible jerk and left my mother. A real man supports his wife." After Beth said that, she and Jerry kissed, leaving Summer uncomfortable with the situation.
….
Rick and his grandchildren, by now, have sat in a building, staring at the mutants as the rising sun peaked.
"Wow, I really did Cronenberged the world, didn't I? We have a whole planet of Cronenberg walking around, at least they're not in love with Morty anymore. That's a big step in the right direction" Rick said, looking at the large number of mutants that were once human beings.
"Oh, you definitely fixed a mistake, congratulations, you are certainly 'the most intelligent man in the universe', too bad the world is still destroyed." Oliver said sarcastically, although his words made him sound annoyed or angry, his face still showed that he was affected by everything that was happening.
"Oh my God Rick, how could you cause this?" Morty said, pointing to Rick as the culprit, but before Rick could respond, Oliver chimed in.
"Shut up! Yeah, it was Rick's fault for agreeing to create that serum, but it's also your fault for not accepting that Jessica was with that idiot Brad!" Oliver screamed as he released all the anger and frustration he felt at everything that was happening.
"... and I also think it was my fault for not paying attention to your stupid things" Oliver sighed, as he looked towards the destroyed city.
"Okay, I admit ... I should have listened to Rick, but what can I do now? ... I don't know anything about mixing things up to find a cure, Rick is the only one who can!" Morty said desperate to find a solution.
Rick looked at Morty who is going into a frenzy, then at Oliver who, although he knew how to hide it well, is also very affected, in this situation he only came up with a solution.
"You know what? I admit, I was a bit wrong too. However, I have a solution that will get everything back to normal, relatively speaking." Rick pulled out the desk from his space cruiser and then pulled out a box full of various items.
"You're lucky I had my box of time travel stuff, maybe we can fix everything with some of this." Rick said, before starting to work on something, both Morty and Oliver went to see what he was doing.
…..
It was a new sunny day, everything seemed normal and calm.
The Space Cruiser flew into the driveway and landed in the Smith Residence garage.
"I admit it, I'm surprised you managed to reverse time, it's like nothing happened." Oliver said, now he looked quite relaxed.
"Yeah, you surprised me this time too, but you did. You figured out a crazy solution like you always do." Morty clapped as he and Oliver exited the ship.
"But I have a question, will anyone else remember what happened?" Oliver asked curiously.
"No, only we remember it, well maybe some being that is in another spatial dimension could, but that doesn't matter now, I'm great, that's what really matters." Rick explained, until they got to the garage and Rick pressed a button, causing the boat door to close.
"If the only thing that matters is that everything is fine, I'm going to have a coffee, I'll be right back" said Oliver who left the garage through the inner door.
"Great Oliver! Get us some, now what do you say, Morty? Can I have a screwdriver so I can finish my ion defibulizer?" Rick asked.
"Sure, Rick." Morty said, grabbing a screwdriver while Oliver was already in the hallways of the house heading for the kitchen.
"Okay, now we've got one turn of the screw and two turns of the screw, and-" Before Rick could continue, the failure device exploded, killing them instantly and sending their corpses flying.
Oliver, on the way to the kitchen, heard the explosion in the garage, so he quickly went to see what was happening, only to find the corpses of Rick and Morty, seeing this left him in shock, his mint could not process what just happened.
But before Oliver could react to Rick and Morty's death, a portal was opened.
"Very good, Morty. Here we are" said the person who came out of the portal.
Oliver managed to snap out of his daze, so he could see the new Rick and Morty who entered the room when the portal closed right behind them.
"Y-You two? Like ... what the hell is going on?" Oliver asked, very confused and perplexed, for the first time not knowing how to react.
"Wait? Oliver? Aren't you dead?" Morty asked before looking at Rick.
"Rick, why are we in this place ?!" Morty turned to Oliver and only to see the bodies on the ground.
"Shit! What the heck ?! OMG, is that us, are we dead ?! And why does Oliver have white hair? What's going on Rick?!" Morty asked as he panicked.
When Morty started to freak out, Rick looked at Oliver's hair and then the corpses on the ground.
"Shit. I think I was wrong in my dimension, I have to improve my aim." Rick said as he ignored Morty.
"Who are you !?" Oliver asked as he goes on alert, in case these new Rick and Morty attack him.
"Calm down, you two. Alright, let me explain. There are an infinite number of realities in the multiverse, leading to infinite results and many different possibilities." Rick said as he tried to explain.
"... You are Rick and Morty ... from another dimension and now you are trying to replace the ones from this dimension" Oliver said understanding what Rick means, and he really doesn't know how to feel about it.
"Shit. What you're saying is crazy, Rick." Morty commented.
"Yeah, maybe it's crazy. A white-haired Oliver? I always wondered if there was a difference." Rick began to mutter to himself.
"But what about the reality we leave behind?" Morty asked.
"And the reality in which Hitler cured cancer, Morty? The answer is better not to think about that, now help me with the bodies, I carry mine and you carry yours, it seems fair to me." Said Rick who along with Morty began to carry the bodies, while Oliver just watched silently.
"* sigh * I ... I'll be in my room, I need to think" Oliver said as he made his way to his room.
"Okay, but I need to talk to you later, to see how many differences there are in this dimension" Rick warned, but Oliver ignored him and went straight to his room.
"Shit" Oliver said as he entered his room, and then he lay down on the bed.
Never in his life had he felt so weak, he couldn't do anything, he felt completely useless, everyone died but luckily Rick found a solution.
To prevent all that hell from happening, they managed to go back in time to save everyone, if he remembers correctly they arrived hours before the dance happened. Everything seemed to be going well, in the end they solved everything, but then everything went wrong, Rick and Morty died in an accident.
He was very angry with both of them, they brought the end of the world on a whim, but even if he was angry. He didn't want them to die, they can be annoying sometimes, but they were still part of his family, but now they are dead.
And how does he feel about it?
He feels useless for not being able to do anything.
He feels angry at Rick and Morty for starting it all.
He feels weak from losing two close people and not being able to save them.
But he also feels annoyed with the new Rick and Morty seeking to replace the Rick and Morty of their dimension as if they were garbage.
Oliver was right, he is not a hero, a real one would have saved them all, he is just useless.
…..
The next morning, Oliver was in front of the school, staring blankly, yesterday Rick tried to talk to him about the differences between this dimension and his, but Oliver ignored him, he only told him to speak another day, he was not in humor.
As he thought, he suddenly felt someone hit his shoulder, he looked to the right of him to meet Misaka who looked angry.
"Tch, what was that for?" Oliver asked as he clutches his sore shoulder.
"That was for not showing up last night, are you so lazy not to go to a party ?!" Mikoto asked very angry, it's true with everything that happened yesterday, she lost all interest in the dance.
"Does that matter so much to you?" Oliver asked more annoyed than anything.
"You are an idiot, you made me wait for you at the entrance for nothing!" Mikoto said as he explained his anger, this of course made Oliver raise an eyebrow, thinking that he had been waiting for him so long.
"Okay, I'll make it up to you, if you want I can buy you some merchandise from that ugly frog that you like." Oliver said.
"Seriously! ... I mean, I don't know what you're talking about!" Mikoto said as he tried to hide his emotion, Oliver simply rolled his eyes.
"It doesn't matter, I'll have time to think about the death of Rick and Morty, now I have to be in boring school" Oliver thought and then entered the school, being followed by a Mikoto excited about getting new Gekota products.
….
Well, that ends this chapter. The truth is that I had no idea how to finish it, I had several options and I decided on this one.
From here there begin to be divergences with respect to the canon of Rick and Morty, the next chapters will be more focused on the universe of Toaru.
The truth is that I don't have much to say, I hope you are enjoying this crossover.
By the way, I'm not sure how a bioweapon as powerful as Rick's serum affects the Toaru universe, but I'm sure it would affect most characters. One example is Misaka who, although she cannot be controlled by mind control, is vulnerable to viruses and other diseases.
