Lyn Ren
85 years ago, after the Great War commenced. Thousands of men have gathered to fend off the two others kingdoms of Vacuo and Vale. Most of the soldiers are men. But there is one women who is filled with the gift no other man can reach. The first woman who became the warrior of Mistral. Her name is Lyn Ren.
As a child, like many other girls, they were said to be destined to become brides when they come of age. Back then, there was gender discrimination in Anima when men became soldiers. But Lyn isn't like any other women, but a women with such talent.
Trained as a proper lady, Lyn felt different than other female civilians. However, watching her father, Bo Ren, a soldier for the Empress of Mistral, it have her a new light to her own future. Watching Bo's every move, Lyn would do the same and trained herself daily through the night. Little did she know, her father watched daily. He was seeing like no other girl can do.
Later, he shared the arts of combat as she reached her potential. Lyn became the first woman in Mistral to unlock her semblance, an ability to block aura. With one touch. With it, she can fend off any enemy that stood in her way. And created a weapon, a pair of fans that is installed with blades for deadly purposes.
Although, ostracized by both men and women for being different, Lyn has beaten the odds in joining the Mistralian Army to fight in the Great War. Before then, she was given the powers of the Spring Maiden after being summoned by the Empress. The previous maiden before Lyn has chosen her as her successor.
A month after, her mother died of illness. The grave stone is where she can now pray that her spirit can be rested. On the pond, a lotus has caught her eyes, Lyn knew that her father told her that the lotus meant to be for purity, and enlightenment. This gives Lyn the hope to unite all of Remnant.
After Vale has prevailed the war, Lyn managed to negotiate with the King of Vale to accept the invitation of the alliance. Since they now knew the existence of Grimm can mean chaos if the wars continue on. The king agreed. After Monarchy came to an end, Lyn is named the heroine of Mistral. Many daughters of the Ren family for generations have been given the Spring Maiden's powers, but at the cost of the lives of their elders one-by-one.
After Lyn has started a family of her own with a husband of her choosing, the Ren Clan are formed. There were still a few descendants left today in the world of Remnant. The symbol of the lotus became the symbol of hope and peace as the next generations of the Ren Family continue the traditions of becoming huntsmen and huntresses.
Author's Note: Lyn Ren, like in the original stories of Mulan, is basically the first huntress of Anima to serve in the army. And is the ancestor of Li and Lie Ren. It is also revealed to have been one of the Spring Maidens to have kept her generations alive as the Ren Clan was formed.
